A powerful explosion that occurred at 01.29 outside the Ministry of Labour in Athens, Greece. The explosion has caused property damage.
The responsibility is assumed by the Revolutionary Class Self-Defence. Members of the explosive ordnance disposal department are on the scene.
This follows a call to the “Journal of the Press”. The unidentified man said a bomb would explode in 40 minutes.
Two calls were made to the newspaper. First they said the Ministry of Labour and then a short while later they said the Alpha Bank, just across the street. According to the cops, the device exploded outside the bank.
Stadiou Street remains closed by strong police forces as searches are being carried out in the wider area.
On 2012/12/16 a hanging bag was found again outside the Ministry of Labour and was neutralised. It had been claimed by the People’s Militant Group.
