On September 17, 2021 there was an attack with Molotov cocktails on the police station of the Property Protection in Tiergarten (Thomas-Dehler-Straße). We expressed our irreconcilability with that institution, in whose hand people are injured and murdered every day. (Link to the letter and the message from the police report: https://chronik.blackblogs.org/?p=14967)
After some months have already passed, we want to comment again. On the one hand, because this attack was little noticeable or was hardly taken up. On the other hand, because we want to explain the method we chose to make it accessible and imitable to all.
The area of the property guards (small explanation see below) borders on three sides directly on the extensive Tiergarten and is accessible only by a street in a small quarter, which ends shortly after the entrance to the guard for cars in a dead end. There is a one-story building and two parking lots on the site, where 1-4 cars are parked, depending on break and shift times.
One of the goals of our attack was to ignite the parked cars with the use of Molotovs. It was clear that there would be several cops in the building at night. To scare them with our sudden appearance from the darkness was another goal. We were also concerned with showing that their infrastructure was vulnerable to attack at any time and when they were not expecting it.
However, we did not take into account that the cops inside the building could quickly put out the fires on the cars and thus keep the material damage relatively low. Since there is a fence around the police station and the windows of the building provide a good overview of the small area, we could not get close to the cars and therefore decided to use Mollis as a method, which is actually more suitable for keeping cops at a distance than for causing large-scale damage to cars or buildings.
Perception of the action / publicity
The attack was hardly mentioned in mainstream media. Chief editors, blue-light reporters, politicians and police coordinated coverage to achieve desired effects. The good contacts between police or blue-light reporters and the cops themselves are well known. Sometimes the coverage is about scandalizing an attack on them or their infrastructure, for example, to get better equipment, more funding, or even deeper social legitimization of police action against those marginalized and/or struggling. However, scandalizing and highlighting that approach, which has become rare, was apparently not wanted for that event. The vulnerability of their infrastructure was to be concealed and also arrests could not be reported.
Certainly, a direct (also temporal) reference to events e.g. in Berlin and thus the contextualization of the attack, would have made even clearer the clear line that can be drawn from the misanthropy of this system and the institutions protecting it to the hatred and resistance of the oppressed. We think that there are enough reasons to attack the cops at any time and it is not a strategic question when such an attack should happen. But it can be a matter of strategy at certain moments to weaken their infrastructure materially or psychologically through attacks, so that, for example, deportations, forced evictions, etc. become more difficult to carry out.
But in order to make the necessity of counterviolence understandable to many people, to bring it to their attention or even just to communicate it, a direct reference is helpful and can provide a framework for others to refer to the action. The reference we made in our statement may have been too general.
Posters or flyers with the text and, if available, pictures of the attack can also propagate it afterwards, spread it, make it more accessible and thus wrest it from the determination of the mass media. Of course, we would be very happy if other unknown people participate in the attack in this way and we thus spin a web of reference. As with any action, however, it is important not to get caught in the dissemination of relevant information and news and to take care not to leave behind any criminally usable traces.
Construction of the Molotovs
Herewith we share a technical detail of our action. The construction of our Molotovs has proven to be simple, safe and clean to handle, as well as reliable for the result within the previously mentioned purpose.
We have built the incendiary devices differently than conventional Molotov cocktails for safe and dry transport:
We took screw-top glass bottles with a volume of 0.5 l and filled them with gasoline so that the contents could be transported and used tightly and with low odor. We tied two table fountains (two for fail-safety, one will do) to each of the bottle bodies with cable ties so that they stand free a bit next to the bottle neck. Table fountains can be bought all year round, often the burning time is written on the package (20 to 45 seconds). After igniting the fountain remains so the time of burning until they must be thrown. In advance, we have tested both the table fountains and for comparison sparklers. The former reliably ignited the gasoline when the bottles shattered.
That’s it from us.
No Justice, no Peace!

The Propert Protection of the Berlin police is responsible for the guarding and patrolling of endangered property*. The cops employed here are usually not civil servants and had a shorter training period, but outwardly they are hardly distinguishable from civil servants. They carry firearms like their better paid colleagues. They often drive smaller cars and usually sit alone in them.
