Germany: Follow-up to Molotov attack on property protection & construction method

Posted on 2022/05/14 - 2022/05/14 by darknights

On September 17, 2021 there was an attack with Molotov cocktails on the police station of the Property Protection in Tiergarten (Thomas-Dehler-Straße). We expressed our irreconcilability with that institution, in whose hand people are injured and murdered every day. (Link to the letter and the message from the police report: https://chronik.blackblogs.org/?p=14967)

After some months have already passed, we want to comment again. On the one hand, because this attack was little noticeable or was hardly taken up. On the other hand, because we want to explain the method we chose to make it accessible and imitable to all.

The area of the property guards (small explanation see below) borders on three sides directly on the extensive Tiergarten and is accessible only by a street in a small quarter, which ends shortly after the entrance to the guard for cars in a dead end. There is a one-story building and two parking lots on the site, where 1-4 cars are parked, depending on break and shift times.

One of the goals of our attack was to ignite the parked cars with the use of Molotovs. It was clear that there would be several cops in the building at night. To scare them with our sudden appearance from the darkness was another goal. We were also concerned with showing that their infrastructure was vulnerable to attack at any time and when they were not expecting it.

However, we did not take into account that the cops inside the building could quickly put out the fires on the cars and thus keep the material damage relatively low. Since there is a fence around the police station and the windows of the building provide a good overview of the small area, we could not get close to the cars and therefore decided to use Mollis as a method, which is actually more suitable for keeping cops at a distance than for causing large-scale damage to cars or buildings. Berlin, Germany: Start of trial of Adel

Posted on 2021/10/22 by darknights

Dear friends, dear comrades, today in exactly one month, on Friday, 19.11.2021, the trial against our friend and comrade Adel begins in front of the district court Tiergarten. In the sense of antifascist self-protection, we call for supraregional and solidary trial observation! Persons are expected, who are to be assigned to the violent right-wing radical spectrum and numerous cops among them also scene-knowing officials are loaded as witnesses. No Nazis in the courtroom! Let’s not leave Adel alone and show a clear edge against fascists and class justice! In front of the court building in Moabit there will be an antifascist rally. Afterwards we will move together into the court to attend the first day of the trial critically and to set a sign against the criminalization of legitimate antifascist interventions! We will announce the time of the start of the trial and the antifascist rally in time. A detailed call will follow soon.

FREEDOM FOR ADEL AND ALL ANTIFASCISTS

Berlin, Germany: Molotov cocktail attack on police station in Tiergarten district

Posted on 2021/09/20 - 2021/09/20 by darknights

Some see an injustice in the institutions of the executive. Here, the officers hit a left-wing sit-in too hard in order to allow a right-wing march to pass, there they would act too gently against lateral thinkers, migrants would be deported to “unsafe” countries of origin, and if an officer’s trigger leads to death, he should be brought to court for his irregular actions, since he must have acted out of personal rather than professional motivation.

It is this attitude that sees the police as a more or less neutral hinge between rebellious forces in society and those who strive to live in a peaceful, democratic and tolerant agreement. It is this attitude that imagines itself morally on the side of the good and innocent and ignores structural differences and privileges, which could be the reason why the cudgel is rarely aimed at their heads. This attitude leads to the abstruse reproach to the police squad: “Where were you in Hanau?”. This attitude represents a distrust of the individual, who could not live in a society with others without authority and the threat of repression. It is this attitude that makes you wonder if you won’t dial 110 in an emergency? It is this attitude that makes the narrative of the individual case possible.
It is this attitude that asserts that violence against the police is violence against people like you and me. This attitude allows the uniform or badge to be seen as a garment, an occupational utensil, rather than a globally legitimized expression of a function.

Cops all over the world have the function to detect the smallest rebellion against the system of capital, against the system of patriarchy, to press it into the logic of criminal law (i.e. to present it as non-political), to discredit it and to appropriate it. In the struggle for interpretive sovereignty, their goal is to control and crush this rebellion, with visible or subtle violence, depending on the balance of power and the form of government.
In this sense, the system of subjugating every element of our lives to the standard of norming and hierarchization according to property, body, religion, gender, origin, and attitude that prevails everywhere is manifested.
Their use cannot be judged in the categories of unjust or unjustified. The institutionalization of the police has never been about justice. The police are a system of domination and any narrative of humanity behind the uniform serves only to obscure social conditions.
