14/9/25 – Indonesia repression news
In short nationally there’s 5444 people reported arrested from the uprising. 583 are on further investigations. That is the recent report from the legal aid institution [www.lbhbandung.or.id]. On 3rd September the same leftist legal organisation released info that 3337 people had been arrested, so we can see that the repression is building momentum. Hundreds of anarchists are reported arrested.
The Indonesian anti-terrorist unit ‘Densus 88’, are basically a death squad and have been activated by the government. ‘Densus 88’ are now hunting the insurrectionary anarchist, nihilist and egoist circles and they focus on the arrested. They will try to charge the comrades already arrested and those wanted with terrorism, which will be hard to prove in court but the repression could be bloody and we ask for international attention and revolutionary solidarity. The anti-terrorist unit is officially hunting the same circle in Makassar. This is the way that the Indonesian state try to make a paranoid climate which is not that really successful.
Tosca and black
Anti-terrorist unit labelled the insurrectionists as the “Toska item chaos network”, which refers to a flag used by those to separate themselves from anarcho socialist who at early times still allied with underbelly of mainstream leftist. But now red and black and tosca always unite in the streets. So most of the comrades who used the individualist flag are also running with the flag of the chaos star also. Now the dynamics are different, insurrectionary red and black also affiliated with tosca, because of how many comrades are fed up with the NGOs and the leftists too. However five years ago if you go to the street and carry the individualist flag, the “civil anarchist” leftists and union members will block you and gave you to the police. After all this, the leftists and unions, NGOs, started to stink, and there’s no more infighting. In fact those three days were complete coordination with the red and black.
The intense riot of three days was the most spontaneous uprising in modern day Indonesia.
Long live the Tosca and black!
Athens, Greece: Solidarity with the rebels in Indonesia

During the summer, mass protests took place in various parts of Indonesia against new austerity measures, tax increases and salary increases for members of parliament, whose salaries are 30 times higher than the minimum wage.
On August 28, during a protest rally, an armoured police vehicle runs over 21-year-old Affan Kurniawan, killing him. Affan worked as a delivery boy and was on his way to deliver food. After that, an unprecedented uprising broke out across the country. Police stations were destroyed, local parliaments and government buildings were burned, and politicians’ homes were looted. To buy time, the state declared that it would reduce the privileges of the political elite while at the same time intensifying repression and bringing the army on to the streets. So far, there have been 10 dead, dozens missing, hundreds injured, and thousands arrested. Despite government promises and repression, the flame of the uprising does not seem to be extinguished.
The mass protests and clashes in Indonesia are a bright reminder to the oppressed of this world that even in the most difficult times and under the harshest regimes, the vision of freedom and equality cannot be stifled. In the dozens of uprisings in recent years across the planet, the vision of a better world breathes life.
It is crucial to intensify the struggle on a global level. To build relationships of solidarity and comradeship beyond the limitations of borders, to exchange experiences, to learn from each other, to fight side by side against all authority. To spread the flame of rebellion across the planet, to the global social revolution, to the end of all authority. To the creation of a world of solidarity, equality, freedom, to Anarchy.
Responding to the call of our comrades from Palang Hitam Anarkis, we held an intervention with banners and tricolors at the Indonesian embassy on Thursday, September 11.
From Indonesia to Nepal, solidarity with the rebels.
From Indonesia to Palestine, may the flame of rebellion spread across the entire earth.

In Barcelona last friday there was a local solidarity event at an anarchist social centre with a presentation which raised hundreds of euros for the arrested comrades.
In a new wave of uprisings, following days of marches, riots, and attacks on symbols of political power in the archipelago dominated by the Indonesian state, our comrades from Hitam Palang Anarkis (Black Cross Anarchists) have sent us an urgent call for solidarity.
The government and its police, with the support of their lackeys in the press, have begun an anti-anarchist witch hunt, blaming and consequently persecuting comrades in the territory for recent events.
Specifically, they are requesting financial support to cover the costs and expenses of comrades who have been arrested or who, targeted by the State, have had to go underground.
