Milan, Italy: Incendiary attack against some vehicles of the A2A and Unareti companies

Posted on 2025/03/14 by darknights

Incendiary attack against some vehicles of the A2A and Unareti companies (Milan, Feb. 27, 2025)

On the night of Wednesday, February 26 to Thursday, February 27, a number of A2A and Unareti vehicles were set on fire in Milan.
The A2A group, which also includes Unareti (a company that, specifically, is responsible for ensuring high, medium and low voltage gas and electricity supply to Italian consumers) is a company whose shares are more than 50 percent owned by the Italian state and is involved in the production, sale and distribution of electricity.
In October 2022, A2A signed a memorandum with SIBF (Southern Israel Bridging Found, an Israeli investment fund focused on increasing hi-tech companies and start-ups in Israel and abroad) with the aim of building a joint hub dedicated to innovation based in Tel Aviv.
The memorandum also aims to strengthen the already existing relationship between A2A, the Israeli Innovation Authority and the Israeli Economic Mission in Italy.
The agreement aims to foster research to evaluate mutual investment opportunities in start-ups, both Italian and Israeli, with a strong focus on the topic of ecological transition.
The “ecological transition” at the heart of this agreement is touted as the transition to a more equitable, sustainable and healthy system. Behind this rhetoric lies the need for the capitalist system to restructure itself on the one hand to cope with the increasingly acute and frequent environmental, energy and war crises, and on the other hand to accommodate the growing energy needs demanded by the continuous technological advancement and digitization of society.
One of the main partners with whom many Western states, and with them many investee companies such as A2A, decide to enter into agreements for this purpose is Israel, and this choice is by no means accidental.
The continuing state of emergency and war that Israel claims to be in since its inception has meant that the bureaucracy necessary for foreign investment in many areas, including clearly the military, has been streamlined.
Within system-state Israel every sector of society is bent to war needs, and the intermingling of research in the civilian and military spheres is very evident. This interchange involves not only projects but also people: it so happens that among the management cadres of SIBF and partners are former Israeli national security chiefs and former executives of Elbit (an Israeli military technology company).
A2A’s choice to partner with an Israeli investment fund openly aligned with the Zionist project, so much so that it publicly declared “We are at war, but this ongoing war-since Israel’s founding-has been one of the catalysts for our innovative hi-tech industry, and we will prevail,” represents direct support for the Zionist project.
By supporting a major Israeli fund and building hubs in the Israeli capital A2A feeds the huge flows of capital that make possible the existence of system-state Israel and the Zionist occupation of Palestinian territory.
As the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank continues, we consider it urgent not to stand by and multiply the attacks against those who enrich themselves thanks to the Zionist project.

Against a development that brings only devastation and death
Let’s break the home front
The war starts from here
Freedom for all*

Milan, Italy: Smashed the windows of Deutsche Bank in solidarity with the Palestinian people

Smashed the windows of Deutsche Bank in solidarity with the Palestinian people (Milan, Jan. 15, 2025)

On the night of January 14-15, we smashed the windows of a Deutsche Bank branch in Milan with hammers as an action in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Indeed, European financial institutions play a decisive role in the genocide taking place in Palestine. Deutsche Bank is the third largest financial institution in Europe (it has a credit of 12. 23 billion) that provides loans to a group of 51 companies directly involved in the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories and the genocide of the Palestinian people: Airbnb; Alstom; Altice International; Ashtrom Group; Bank, Hapoalim; Bank Leumi; Bezeq Group; Booking Holdings; Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF); Carrefour; Caterpillar; Cellcom Israel; Cemex; Cisco Systems; CNH Industrial; Delek Group; Delta Galil Industries; eDreams ODIGEO; Elbit Systems; Electra Group; Expedia Group; Hamat Group; Heidelberg Materials; Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE); Hilan; Hyundai Heavy Industries; IBM; Israel Chemicals (ICL Group); Israel Discount Bank; MAN Group; Matrix IT; Mivne Group; Mizrahi Tefahot Bank; Motorola Solutions; Orbia; Partner Communications; Paz Oil Company; Puma; Rami Levy Chain Stores Hashikma Marketing 2006; RE/MAX Holdings; Shapir Engineering and Industry; Shikun & Binui; Shufersal; Siemens; Solvay; Tripadvisor; TUI Group; Villar International; Vinci / Semi; Volvo Group; and WSP Global.

For an end to the Zionist occupation of Palestine!
Let’s stop wars and genocides!

Milan, Italy: Everyone hates the police

Posted on 2024/12/04 by darknights

On Sunday night [November 24, in Milan], Ramy Elgaml died after falling from the scooter he was riding on with a friend, pursued by the carabinieri for several kilometers.
Ramy was a 19-year-old boy who lived in Corvetto.
Since his death was announced, numerous boys and girls, his friends, have gathered on the street at the crash site, alongside his family.
Soon the pain of his death turned into anger and a thirst for truth regarding what had happened.
The night between Sunday and Monday there were moments of clashes with the police in the streets of the working-class neighborhood where he lived, where someone had started to set fire to trash bins and rubbish.
Even on Monday evening, for a few hours, normalcy came to a halt, and in its place appeared burning barricades and groups of people clashing with the police, who responded by launching numerous tear gas canisters in an attempt to disperse the crowd, which, however, did not let itself be intimidated.
Ramy’s death is probably the straw that broke the camel’s back. Those who come from the working-class neighborhoods deal with the police every day, for one reason or another. He knows the arrogance and violence of the cops and knows well what a police stop means.

And that’s how the anger grows.

At the end of Monday evening, a 21-year-old boy was arrested and taken to San Vittore while in Corvetto the anger and the melted plastic from the bins on the asphalt remain.
Ramy will live in the hearts of his family and friends, in the anger that will set the streets on fire.
Cops out of the neighborhoods.
Freedom for all.

Assago, Italy: Incendiary attack against 23 Enjoy cars and an Eni Plenitude van

Posted on 2024/11/13 by darknights

Incendiary attack against 23 Enjoy cars and an Eni Plenitude van (Assago, Italy, October 31, 2024)

During the night between Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st October in Assago, province of Milan, 23 electric cars of the Enjoy car-sharing and a van belonging to Eniplenitude, of the Eni group, were set on fire.
While the massacre in Gaza continues a year on, Eni continues to enrich itself doing big business with Israel as is shown by the acquisitions of off-shore natural gas deposits along the coasts of Gaza carried out by the Italian multinational immediately after October 7th 2023.

Milan, Italy: Shattered windows of two Carrefour supermarkets, accomplice of the Israeli state (Dec. 7, 2023)

Shattered windows of two Carrefour supermarkets, accomplice of the Israeli state (Milan, Dec. 7, 2023)

MILAN NIGHT DECEMBER 6-7

Hammering on the windows of two Milanese supermarkets of the French company Carrefour, on Via Pier Lombardo and Via Marcellino Ammiano, respectively. This action is aimed at targeting one of the many entities complicit with Israel.Carrefour recently entered into a contract with the Israeli company Electra Consumer Products and delivered food parcels to the IDF. Its corporate policy makes it co-responsible for the massacres and ethnic cleansing carried out by the state of Israel and its army.

Anarchist action directed against the oppressors knows no respite.

Milan, Italy: Sentence from the trial for the clashes and resistance to the eviction of Corvaccio Squat and Rosa Nera on November 18, 2014

Posted on 2023/07/06 by darknights

Sentence from the trial for the clashes and resistance to the eviction of the Corvaccio Squat and the Rosa Nera on November 18, 2014 in Milan

On Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, the anarchist occupations Corvaccio Squat and Rosa Nera – Occupied Anarchist Space, located on Via Ravenna in Milan’s Corvetto neighborhood, were being evicted with a huge number of trucks, cops, DIGOS, helicopters, and the like.

On July 3, 2023, the trial process for those resisting the eviction and the ensuing day of struggle that lasted well into the evening came to an end, with sentences of up to eight months.

Support the occupations, against all evictions: solidarity and resistance!

To put the facts in context, below is a text published in November 2014:

Corvaccio resists, Corvetto ignites
Communiqué for the evictions of the Corvaccio squat and the Rosa Nera anarchist space

An abnormal awakening for Corvetto on Tuesday, November 18: in Via Ravenna instead of cappuccino and brioche, breakfast with tear gas and barricades.

It is 7 a.m. when the neighborhood, already alert and on the alert for the much heralded “eviction emergency,” notices the approach of a large number of pickup trucks. They head for Ravenna Street and close with vehicles and men two entire blocks with the clear intention of evicting Corvaccio and Rosa Nera. The former is an occupied house in which little less than a dozen rebels have lived for more than two years, while the latter an an anarchist space that for almost eight months has been hosting concerts and aperitifs in support of the prisoners, meetings, screenings and assemblies on various issues of struggle, and where at low speed a drumming class, a screen-printing workshop, a gymnasium and a documentation center are also coming to life.

The fierce press campaign, which for a week now in all newspapers nationwide has been painting those two spaces as the nerve centers of a phantom “black immovables,” turns out to be insubstantial in comparison to the relationships of trust and commonality, which day by day are growing among the neighborhood’s occupants, who are now accustomed to taking to the streets to resist the evictions together. Italy: Updates on Alfredo’s health status after interrupting the hunger strike

Posted on 2023/04/28 - 2023/04/28 by darknights

Updates on Alfredo’s health status after interrupting the hunger strike (April 27, 2023)

Alfredo is starting to eat again (although more slowly than he would like, heh! heh!), little by little he is also reintroducing pasta and solid foods, following the dietician’s suggestions.

The overall values are quite good. There seems to be a slight improvement in the condition of the foot to which he had lost feeling, but for the moment according to the doctors it is not possible to venture a prognosis, in any case he is walking a little better.

He is still in the prison ward of San Paolo, anxious to leave the hospital, since at the moment he cannot take advantage of even the air time and essentially never leaves the room/cell, which is even deprived of natural light; doctors however say he should stay there at least another week. His mood is good; in short, he is recovering.

He will continue to receive visits from the lawyer and the medical officer, so updates will follow.

He is hardly receiving any mail, but we urge everyone to equally burden the censors with letters and telegrams, let them earn their filthy wages! We remind that to write to him the Opera address applies even if he is in the hospital:

Alfredo Cospito
Casa di Reclusione di Milano Opera

Rome, Italy: About the constitutional court hearing on the convictions for anarchists Alfredo Cospito and Anna Beniamino in the Scripta Manent trial + Anarchist Alfredo Cospito ‘interrupted’ his hunger strike undertaken since Oct. 20 [Corrected]

Posted on 2023/04/20 - 2023/04/28 by darknights

DN Note: We have been informed by comrades in Italy that comrade Alfredo has only interrupted his hunger strike, that the isolation that is 41 bis prevents us knowing what his real motivations are at present.

About the constitutional court hearing on the convictions for anarchists Alfredo Cospito and Anna Beniamino in the Scripta Manent trial (Rome, April 18, 2023)

A hearing was held today in the constitutional court on the case of Alfredo Cospito and Anna Beniamino on charges of political massacre (art. 285 c. p.) within the Scripta Manent trial.

The current Cirielli law (year 2005, Berlusconi government) prevents mitigating factors from outweighing aggravating factors in the case of recidivism. In Alfredo Cospito’s case, in particular, this would have resulted in a certain sentence of hostile life imprisonment despite the fact that the action he and Anna are accused of did not cause any victims.

The court therefore found this provision unconstitutional. More, reading the terse press release that came out of the building, the court seems to have raised constitutionality doubts in general with respect to all those cases in which the fixed penalty is configured solely as life imprisonment.

Recall that Alfredo Cospito has been on hunger strike for almost 6 months precisely against 41 bis and hostile life imprisonment. A struggle for which his comrade is risking his life and during which he may already have suffered permanent neurological damage. A struggle that Alfredo has always reiterated is not just for himself, but for everyone, particularly in solidarity with anarchist, communist and revolutionary prisoners. Today’s decision will have consequences not only for the fate of our comrade, but is a blow, however circumscribed, to the institution of life imprisonment in this country. Italy: The request for deferral of Alfredo Cospito’s sentence to house arrest rejected by the Supervisory Courts of Milan and Sassari

The request for deferral of Alfredo Cospito’s sentence to house arrest rejected by the Supervisory Courts of Milan and Sassari

27/3/23: The Supervisory Court of Milan replied by rejecting the request for house arrest for health reasons for anarchist prisoner Alfredo Cospito.

At the same time the Sassari court reached the same decision. In both cases with the long motivations already written. The comrade’s behaviour is defined instrumental in obtaining changes in political and judicial decisions.

While contradictions are accumulating within the political and judicial apparatuses (e.g., opinion of the National Anti-Mafia and Anti-Terrorism Directorate, the Attorney General of the Supreme Court, Sibilla re-examination, etc.) each time one is faced with an organ that has the power to resolve the question raised by the comrade’s struggle immediately, the party of the death sentence applies all its political power to block any possible way out.

This was in all probability the last chance. To all of us the human and historic task to make the State pay the highest possible price for this murder. Now and in the future.
