Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for breaking of windows at a store of Sklavenitis & the town hall in Kaisariani

Posted on 2023/01/24 by darknights

On Friday 13/01 we chose to attack the store of Sklavenitis and the town hall in Kaisariani causing material damage to the facades of the buildings.

The bloodthirsty bosses are transferring the crisis of capital onto the shoulders of our class. The more they oppress us, the richer they get. The bleeding of our lives, working every day in miserable conditions and not knowing if we will make it through the month with rents, electricity, water and supermarket prices skyrocketing, fills us with rage.

The state sends its minions to murder Roma for 20 euros and evict us from our homes for debts of a few hundred euros. The same, following in the footsteps of other European countries, is passing the new prison code, which makes the lives of prisoners even more miserable. At the same time we see that the resistance of the prisoners to this policy is being fought by the state with revengeful transfers, such as those of Th. Chatziangelou and K. Dimalexis. The state apparatus is heading towards murder and aims at the extermination of the comrades. Their apparent indifference to Th. Chatziangelou, who was on hunger and thirst strike since 19/12, while now (on the day of writing) he continues his hunger strike, was only a choice of theirs. His fraudulent transfer to the Korydallos hospital does not fool us and we know that it is a tactic for our complacency and not a retreat.

The attempt to silence and weaken insurrectionary, anti-authoritarian movements is a standard tactic of the state. Our response must be forceful and unyielding. We will not allow ourselves to be oppressed and robbed of our lives for the self-preservation of states and capital that work against us.

Thessaloniki, Greece: Responsibility claim for solidarity attack on stores with the anarchist hunger/thirst strike of Thanos Chatziangelou

Posted on 2023/01/04 - 2023/01/04 by darknights

Lately the state has been intensifying social misery and repression while at the same time sharpening class barriers, making survival a luxury. It is trying to impose total social control over every aspect of our lives, thus reinforcing its counterinsurgency policy. One of the social groups that experience this control to the greatest extent is the prisoners, being a subject completely cut off and stigmatized from the rest of society, thus becoming the perfect breeding ground for the harshest state policies.

Thus, on 28/10 the new penal code is passed which, among other things, includes the tightening of the conditions of leave and conditional dismissal, tightening of disciplinary procedures, extending the detention time of those accused of criminal-terrorist organizations, robberies or drugs, reintroducing type C prisons as ” Maximum Security Prisons ” and the prohibition of transfer to rural prisons. In this way, the regime of exclusion experienced by political prisoners is deepened while at the same time it is extended to other categories of crimes, increasing the time of incarceration of those who fall into this category. Immediately after the passing of the bill, mobilizations against it started in many prisons throughout Greece, with the participation of many criminal and political prisoners.

Thanos Chatziangelou actively participated in the above mobilizations and was quickly targeted by the state, culminating in his vindictive transfer to Nigrita prison on 19/12, as happened a few days later with Kostas Dimalexis who was transferred to Trikala prison. The purpose of these transfers is to remove the militants, who have not stopped opposing their oppressors, from the communities of struggle they had created. Thanos’ response was immediate, starting a hunger and thirst strike on 19/12 demanding the disclosure of the reason for his transfer and his return to Korydallos prison. Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for attack on the offices of New Democracy in Koukaki

Posted on 2023/01/04 - 2023/01/04 by darknights

In October 2022, within the framework of the zero tolerance doctrine, the new Penitentiary Code is passed, which among other things makes the granting of leave and the conditional release of prisoners even more difficult and essentially restores the C-type prisons with the “maximum security prisons”. In response to this law, on 28 October, mobilisations by prisoners in prisons throughout the country began. The state, in an attempt to intimidate those who are struggling, reacts vindictively, targeting some of them with threats and bullshit in their cells.

Thus, at dawn on Monday 19/12 the kidnapping of the political prisoner for participation in the organization Anarchist Action, Thanos Chatziaggelou, and his transfer from his cell in Korydallos to the prison of Nigrita Serres. In the same way, on 22/12, the transfer of comrade K. Dimalexis to the prison of Trikala was carried out. On the same night of his abduction, comrade Th. Chatziaggelou starts a hunger and thirst strike demanding the disclosure of the reason for his transfer and his return to Korydallos. The comrade’s health is in a very critical condition and he is in danger of suffering kidney failure or cardiac arrest. In an attempt to discredit his struggle, a verbal prosecution proposal is made to force-feed the striker, a practice that constitutes torture and endangers his health. In solidarity, prisoners G. Michaelides, F. Tziotzis, I. Rodopoulos, L. Vougiouklakis and F. Daskalas go on symbolic or non-symbolic hunger strikes, putting their bodies on the mound.

As a minimal sign of solidarity with comrade Th. Chatziaggelou and the rest of the strikers, we chose on 27/12 to attack by breaking the facade and throwing paint at the offices of the New Democracy party in Koukaki, which as a government applies the doctrine of zero tolerance, at least against those who do not enjoy its favour.

Foligno, Italy: Windows of temporary employment agency Umana smashed in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito on hunger strike

Posted on 2022/12/20 by darknights

Hammering against temporary employment agency in Foligno

On a mid-December night, the windows of the UMANA temporary employment agency in Foligno were smashed with hammers. Action in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito on hunger strike against 41 bis prison regime and life imprisonment without possibility of parole.

We chose a temporary agency because we are disgusted by administrators of human flesh, whether they are biological appendages attached to a bunch of keys, like those who torture our comrade, or administrators of labour for the hungry jaws of capitalism.

Rome, Italy: Damage and fires in the Appio Latino neighborhood in solidarity with anarchist Alfredo Cospito on hunger strike to the bitter end

Posted on 2022/12/19 by darknights

We learn from the media that on December 18, in Rome’s Appio Latino neighborhood, shortly after midnight unknown persons damaged a number of banking facilities, including a post office-specifically, at least one postamat was set on fire and some glass windows were smashed-by spilling into the street and also setting fire to some garbage cans. According to media reports, the damage and fires occurred, very quickly, between Macedonia Street, Via Latina and Roselle Square. Murals were left on some of the buildings: “Alfredo libero,” “No 41 bis,” in reference to Alfredo Cospito, an imprisoned anarchist on an all-out hunger strike against the 41 bis prison regime (in which he has been imprisoned since May 5) and the hostile life sentence (which is likely to be the final sentence for the comrade at the end of the Scripta Manent trial, which has reached its last trial hearings).

The repressive forces, which arrived shortly after the events, were unable to stop anyone as the unknown persons had already left the area.

Volos, Greece: Responsibility claim for the breaking of the New Democracy headquarters during the 6th December march.

Posted on 2022/12/08 - 2022/12/08 by darknights

During today’s march, a political intervention took place, specifically breaking into the offices of the New Democracy Party. We broke the glass entrance, then went up to the 2nd floor, broke the door and threw white paint.

The above action took place on the occasion of the attempted state murder of 16-year-old K. Fragoulis on the eve of December 6, the boiler room explosion that led to the death of a student in a primary school in Serres and the provocative attitude of the Prime Minister who praised the cops with 600 euros.

Patras, Greece: Responsibility claim for attacks on supermarket chains

Posted on 2022/12/08 - 2022/12/08 by darknights

At dawn on Monday 5 December, we attacked supermarkets of large chains in the city of Patras, with sledgehammers, causing damage. We chose the supermarkets:

Sklavenitis on the El. Stratiotou

Sklavenitis in Notaras

Market In on Souda Street

It is known to all that accuracy and the unbearable cost of living are not “sky-high” concepts that “happened” to be created by the war in Ukraine and the revaluations it brings, as the Greek state sells as a narrative. On the contrary, they are the result of an increasingly deepening crisis that capital has been in for at least 15 years. In the midst of this crisis, and the opportunity it presents to the world’s rulers, wealth is being redistributed, geopolitical balances are being redistributed, new energy hubs are being created and overall competition is intensifying. In this context, the effect on everyday life for the vast majority of society is more brutal than ever. More and more impoverishment and misery, the imposition of a working dark ages and modern slavery.

In this crisis, the state and capital are attempting ever harder, more totalitarian changes in their functioning, imposing ever harsher conditions on our lives, creating the necessary conditions and situations for the further plundering and exploitation of our lives and the natural world for the sake of their profitability.

The Greek state is certainly moving in the same direction. Only in the last 10-15 years we can mention the memoranda, the neglect and dismantling of the public health care system for the benefit of private interests, the continuous subsidizing of banks from state funds, costs that fall on the backs of society, financial scandals in every sector, bills for the exploitation of the environment, the dismantling of the remaining public character in education and health, the anti-labour bill – the infernal Hantzidakis bill, the tightening of repression and criminal treatment especially of those who struggle and so much more. Varedo, Italy: Attack on Lega headquarters in solidarity with Cospito

Posted on 2022/12/02 - 2022/12/02 by darknights

Striking a party like the Lega Nord means attacking institutional nationalism, racism and xenophobia. It means fighting the politics of “law and order.” Last night, Nov. 23, the windows of the Lega Nord headquarters in Varedo, a municipality in the Milan hinterland, were smashed.

This action is a concrete gesture of solidarity with Alfredo Cospito (and the other imprisoned anarchists who support him) who are fighting to the bitter end against the double torture of 41 bis and hostile life imprisonment. The latter measure, moreover, was recently reconfirmed by a decree passed by the current government, of which the Lega is a member.

No amount of repression will stop anarchist conflict.

Portland, USA: Attack on Adidas Headquarters in Retaliation for 2022 Qatar World Cup

Posted on 2022/11/25 by darknights

A communique and call to action:

Early November 20th, several hours before the opening ceremony of the 2022 World Cup, we smashed up most buildings at the Adidas North American headquarters in Portland, Oregon. We shattered windows, broke doors and covered walls with paint across the corporate campus, including office buildings, the gym and cafe. Adidas is one of FIFA’s primary long-term partners, and a main sponsor of the World Cup in Qatar this year.

The history of the World Cup is one of death and displacement. Every stadium stands upon the dead bodies of workers who built it. In Qatar, over 6,500 migrant workers from South Asia died during the decade of preparations for the 2022 World Cup, forced to work in slave conditions. The World Cup was made possible by hundreds of thousands of migrant workers forced into labor through a combination of physical violence, threats of imprisonment, passport confiscation, debt bondage, and more. Every World Cup involves the violent evictions and displacement of thousands, replacing whole neighborhoods with stadiums and other infrastructure. The entire operation is protected by huge increases of militarized policing and surveillance, with 3,000 riot cops sent from Turkey, 4,500 soldiers from the Pakistan army and forces from the British Royal Navy and Air Force coming to Qatar to enforce control during the World Cup.

All this is enabled by the huge companies that sponsor the World Cup and FIFA in the interest of profit.

We reject the logics of global capitalism and the state, and the endless violence they create together. All that’s left to do is fight back.

In every city you can find the property and infrastructure of companies complicit in the World Cup. Continue reading “Portland, USA: Attack on Adidas Headquarters in Retaliation for 2022 Qatar World Cup” →
