Nine Defendants Proceed to Federal Trial Next Week in Widely Watched Prairieland ICE Detention Center Protest Case (USA)

Jury Selection Set to Begin Tuesday, February 17—for a Trial with Severe Public Access Restrictions, Plagued by Prejudicial Statements at Highest Levels of Government—Preceded by a Press Conference at 8:30am

FORT WORTH, TX – Nine defendants will proceed to federal trial next week in a widely watched case that stems from a July 4, 2025 noise demonstration in support of detained immigrants at the Prairieland ICE Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas. Jury selection is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, February 17, followed by the trial which is expected to last at least three weeks. Defendants Savanna Batten, Zachary Evetts, Autumn Hill, Meagan Morris, Maricela Rueda, Daniel “Des” Rolando Sanchez Estrada, Benjamin “Champagne” Song, Elizabeth Soto, and Ines Soto were indicted in November on a variety of charges including riot, discharging a firearm, attempted murder, material support for terrorism, and conspiracy to conceal documents.

A press conference will be held at the southeast corner of Burke Burnett Park, across the street from the courthouse, on Tuesday, February 17 at 8:30am.

At dawn on 7 February, the railway line near Pesaro station (PU, Marche) was sabotaged.
This action aims to highlight the contradictions inherent in the “spectacle” of the Olympics, in this case the Milan Cortina 26 Winter Olympics. Among the various official partners of these games are companies such as Leonardo, Eni and Gruppo FS, which collaborate and speculate on wars and the devastation of the earth in the name of ferocious capitalist progress.
Combative solidarity with all workers who rebel against exploitation by their bosses, with peoples fighting for the liberation of their land, and with those who rise up against this society.

News from the Trial of the Comrades in Bandung (Indonesia)

NEWS FROM THE TRIAL OF THE COMRADES IN BANDUNG

Six comrades from the Political Expression Hunting Cluster (also often referred to as the Chaos Star Case) have undergone sentencing today. The outcome of the trial is that comrades AD and MNT were sentenced by the prosecutor to 3 years in prison. Meanwhile, comrades RFK, TAP, MJF, and RS were sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison.

A few words from a letter sent by a comrade involved in the Chaos Star case:

“We are particles of an entity called disorder, which is supposed to exist within the spectrum of defiance as our wild instinct, as unique and lazy individuals!”

No one is free until everyone is free.

The Hungarian government has proscribed “Antifa” as a terrorist organisation, marking all those who oppose fascism as terrorists and placing activists under surveillance. Multiple anti-fascist groups have been banned and the Hungarian government even shut down a Holocaust memorial event where a Holocaust survivor was due to speak.

In a show trial, 25 year old non-binary anti-fascist Maja T. has been sentenced to 8 years in prison. Gabriele M. Has been sentenced to 7 years and Anna M. has been sentenced to 2 years.

In Britain as well Black and Brown youth have been put on trial and sentenced for helping defend their communities from racist attacks during the pogroms of Summer 2024.

Meanwhile on 14th February neo-Nazis are holding a music festival, rally and meeting in Budapest, to pay tribute to Nazis and their collaborators in WW2, which thousands of neo-nazis will travel from around the world to attend. The anti-fascist counter demo has been banned and Hungarian cops will be out hunting anti-fascists gathering to help defend their communities.

Anti-fascists in Hungary have called for an international day of solidarity on 14th February. We will be answering this callout and invite you to gather with us outside the Hungarian Embassy in London.

Fighting fascism is our social responsibility and when states ban fighting fascism it is our social responsibility to all be criminals.

Just Days Before the Federal Trial Begins, Defense Motions Seek to Suppress Evidence, Exclude Codefendant Statements at Trial

FORT WORTH, TX – Days before a widely watched federal trial is set to begin in the Prairieland ICE protest case, U.S. District Court Judge Mark Pittman ordered pretrial motions hearings for Tuesday, February 10 and Thursday, February 12. Nine defendants—Savanna Batten, Zachary Evetts, Autumn Hill, Meagan Morris, Maricela Rueda, Daniel “Des” Rolando Sanchez Estrada, Benjamin “Champagne” Song, Elizabeth Soto, and Ines Soto—who were indicted in November on a variety of charges including riot, discharging a firearm, attempted murder, material support for terrorism, and conspiracy to conceal documents will start their federal trial next week with jury selection on Tuesday, February 17.

On Tuesday, February 10 at 10am, Judge Pittman will hear arguments on a motion to suppress evidence against Prairieland defendant Elizabeth Soto, and a motion filed by Prairieland defendant Autumn Hill to exclude statements of codefendant Meagan Morris. A third motion filed on behalf of Daniel Rolando Sanchez Estrada, which is currently being withheld from the public record, will be heard on Thursday, February 12 at 2pm. “I’m really fantasizing about the Caribbean island” – Noam Chomsky (U$A)

USA: Within the strange, controversial and damning Jeff Epstein emails which have been released in redacted and incomplete form by the US Department of Justice, there are records that reveal a relationship between neo-fascist Steve Bannon, leftist academic Noam Chomsky and the corrupt financier Jeff Epstein.

We will not reproduce the comments here, beyond one –“I’m really fantasizing about the Caribbean island”, one of Epstein’s hideouts, but it is clear that they maintained an active but infrequent exchange, also from Epstein financially benefiting Chomsky. Chomsky is responsible for some reprehensible commenting about women and sexual abuse/rape in the DOJ emails, leading to a question about what was exactly the nature of their friendship. At the least, we could say, that Chomsky knew he was consulting with a child sex trafficker and was attracted to the attention, the wealth, the politicking.

Despite the protests coming from the left about this fact, it’s a fitting conclusion for Noam Chomsky: a money-hungry sexist and comfortable apologist of Epstein. Just another careerist fading away after serving as the faithful opposition and mouthpiece critic. The definitive end of Noam Chomsky’s association with the radical left and his supposed “anarchism”.

AN ANARCHIST CRITIQUE OF POSTMODERNISM AND POST-ANARCHISM

The 20th century, which began as a revolutionary whirlwind, ended with a collapse of emancipatory ideas, from anarchism to socialism, which were “defeated” by a capitalism that would mutate and transform itself according to its needs. Capitalist domination recovers old “revolutionary” struggles—social, economic, ecological—absorbing many of these emancipatory ideas and incorporating them into its program. On the one hand, the inability of revolutionary movements to see and analyze these new capitalist restructurings, and on the other hand, capitalism with its endless wars and conflicts of domination and destabilization of entire territories, or in its communist form, with its immense sinkholes of moral and material misery, represented by the gulags, led to the destabilization of the revolutionary movements that had cornered capitalism at different points in the 20th century.

This succeeded in shackling all yearnings for freedom and emancipation, provoking a widespread exodus of revolutionary movements that later converged in the ideas of postmodernism. Faced with the fall and crisis of these revolutionary movements, it seems that many found a way out: retreating into individual subjectivity and fleeing to the market as the guarantor of a happiness based on the privatization of life (the destruction of community) and the hyperconsumption characteristic of postmodernism.
