Chile: Words of comrades Ignacio and Luis, accused of sending an explosive package to the police station in Talca

Posted on 2021/07/25 - 2021/07/25 by darknights

09/06/2021

It is difficult to start writing when my heart and mind are still in turmoil. The only thing I long for is a fraternal embrace, the sunlight and its warmth on my skin, and the only thing I have here is cement, cold, humidity and stench.

Perhaps it will be easier for me to leave by thanking: First of all my blood family who, far from all essentialism, have made me and my brother feel loved. Thank you for your sincere support. In 2nd place, to all the comrades and related who are “moving” outside, in some gesture of solidarity. In these moments everything helps and, as well as my family, thank you for your honest support.

Now, for those who wonder about it, I say: YES. Our prison is political. As political as any prisoners’ prison in this system. I would delve into more “theoretical” issues, but this is not the time.

I will only say that, if this prison were not political, then they would not have taken blood samples from us, against our will, under threat of “they would get them anyway”. If this presidium were not political, then fiskalia (slang for the GOPE, Special Police, like the FBI) would not worry about having copies of what we read and write… and they do. Patent of this is the raid of our computers and telephone, in which anything they find will serve them to weave their intrigues. If this prison were not political, then the fiskals of the south metropolitan would not have entered our house, with a huge media show and cameras, at the moment of our arrest. And finally, if this prison were not political, we would not have been part of Galli’s statements a few days ago.

Today more than ever we say: if we are not guilty, much less are we innocent.

The work of determining guilt, plunging the prisoners and their families into misery, belongs to the fiskalía. That is what they call “justice” in democracy. They in their homes, opulent, comfortable and with a “clean” conscience. We in the cages, without water, without light, far from all those who love us in any way.

Thanks to all those who move, a warm greeting to all the political prisoners of this world.

Freedom to all prisoners!

-Ignacio and Luis

Italy: Start of first degree of Operation Scintilla

Posted on 2021/07/22 by darknights

We receive and disseminate:

Beginning of first degree of Operation Scintilla

The three preliminary hearings for Operation Scintilla concluded with the confirmation by the Gup of the entire accusatory package and the committal for trial of all 18 defendants for all the crimes charged. Obviously, both instigation to commit a crime and subversive association, that is art. 270 c.p., have been reconfirmed. Moreover, the charges of the various offenses of the association remain unchanged, including the placement of two tanks near as many ATMs of the Italian Post Office, the damage by fire of the Center for Permanent Residence for Repatriation in Turin in collaboration with some inmates and the sending of an incendiary package to Ladisa, the company that managed the canteen of the structure of Corso Brunelleschi. The next hearing in the first instance is scheduled for October 7 at the court of Turin. Recall that Carla, after almost a year and a half of absconding and 8 months of imprisonment, is still imprisoned under house arrest for just over a week without restrictions. Instead, all other minor measures related to this proceeding have fallen. We take the opportunity of this update also to remember the transfer to the Rebibbia prison of Natascia and to pass on the address to write to her. She is accused not only in the Prometeo operation but also in the association of the Scintilla operation, which sees her accused at large.

We take the opportunity to send a warm thought to those who remain locked up.

Freedom for everyone!

Chile: On the reformalization of comrades Monica and Francisco

Posted on 2021/07/22 - 2021/07/22 by darknights

On Wednesday, July 14, 2021, comrades Monica and Francisco, were reformalized by the South Prosecutor’s Office in the 11th Guarantee Court.

Through a virtual hearing, Monica, from the San Miguel Prison, and Francisco, from the Rancagua Prison, listened to the monologue of the prosecutor Claudio Orellana, who reformulated them, keeping the same crimes and accusations under the arms control law, penal code and military justice, but adjusting small details.

A review of the investigative period, which has already been extended for nearly a year, is scheduled for August. In view of the possibilities that the investigation is closed or that the court does not give any more time, the prosecutor’s office would have decided to reformalize the case so that it would be coherent and without any details in case the judicial process moves forward.

In summary, the comrades are still accused of the following crimes:

Francisco: Sending explosive packages against the 54th police station and against former Minister of the Interior Hinzpetter, resulting in 2 shipments of explosives, 2 frustrated homicides to policemen, 1 frustrated homicide to Hinzpetter, 6 light and less serious injuries to police officers, 1 crime of usurpation of identity and 1 crime of aggravated damage.

Mónica and Francisco: Double explosive attack against Tánica, which resulted in 2 crimes of placing an explosive device on the public highway.

Mónica: Marijuana allegedly found in a common place of the raided house, resulting in illicit trafficking in small quantities.

The same day of the reformalization a rally was called in the center of Santiago.
To every movement of power, a response from the street.
Things are clear: Comrades are not alone!
Solidarity and complicity with Monica and Francisco!

Sedition against the police state!
Subversive prisoners and anarchists to the streets!

Announcing the Counter-Surveillance Resource Center

Posted on 2021/07/22 - 2021/07/22 by darknights

Announcing the Counter-Surveillance Resource Center, an online hub for building a culture of resistance against surveillance.

Around the world, anarchists and other rebels are subject to surveillance due to our activities. Surveillance can be carried out by state institutions or other actors – for example, private investigators, fascists, mercenaries, and law-abiding citizens. Surveillance can be intended to disrupt our activities, make arrests, secure convictions or worse.

As technologies develop, some surveillance techniques stay the same, while others change to incorporate these emergent technologies. While cops still follow us in the streets and keep records about us in their archives, nowadays cameras are everywhere, drones fly overhead, and DNA forensics are sending many comrades to jail.

We felt there was a lack of collective tools to tackle these issues, so we created a website, the Counter-Surveillance Resource Center (CSRC). Our aim is to gather various resources in one place in order to help anarchists and other rebels fight the surveillance that is carried out against us. We want to encourage international collaboration, and we accept submissions in all languages.

How does one avoid leaving fingerprints and other traces during an action? How can we use computers and phones more safely? What should you do if you suspect that someone is an informant? How might one deal with the psychological consequences of clandestinity? How might one destroy cameras in the street? Is this thing you found on your car a GPS tracker? We want to answer these questions and more.

Feel free to send us submissions, translations or comments. Visit the website at: https://csrc.link

Czech Republic: Anarchists Acquitted in Network of Revolutionary Cells Trial

Posted on 2021/07/20 - 2021/07/20 by darknights

After more than two years, the verdict for the four anarchists and one environmentalist is acquittal; only one of them was recognized guilty for small offenses, and the court dropped his punishment.

The main charges concerned the support and promotion of the Network of Revolutionary cells (SRB), insurrectional anarchism, as well as blackmail and harm of others property. SRB focused for several years on sabotage of the property of police and capitalists. So far, no one was convicted and condemned for these actions.

The defendant Lukáš Borl admittedly confessed to spraying the walls of prison lettering “desire for freedom the repression will not stop” and “death to the state”. He also admitted that he was identifying by amended identity documents. The damage he caused to the prison, he paid. The Court in these two points acknowledged Borl guilty, but dropped his punishment. According to the Head of Senate, Dagmar Šebková the delicts were not serious and also happened a long time ago.

The prosecutor Václav Richter designed to all without distinction of imprisonment in the duration of three years, whose performance would be conditionally postponed to the probationary period of three years. However, the court liberated the defendants. The judgment is not competent, the prosecutor appealed.

Berlin: Per non DimentiCARLO – 20 years of Genoa – Video and events

Posted on 2021/07/20 - 2021/07/20 by darknights

On July 20, 2001, 20 years ago, Carlo Giuliani was murdered by cops at the G8 summit in Genoa. This moment has affected many people in different ways, whether they were in Genoa themselves, followed the events from afar, or only read about them many years later.

Events like this, but also the context of a coming together of different rebellious structures mobilized across borders, shaped and continue to shape the struggle against the system.

Genoa is not forgotten and should continue to be part of our collective memory, stimulating discussion and bringing us together.

The Artificial Reproduction of the Human: The Road of Transhumanism

Posted on 2021/07/15 - 2021/07/15 by darknights

Transhumanism and techno-sciences

The transhumanist movement began in the USA, in Silicon Valley, in the late 1980s, but if we try to track down the origin of this ideology, we find ourselves in 1883, when the term eugenics was coined by Galton, or in 1957, when Huxley gave a speech where he used the word transhumanism to describe his transcendent belief in the human, and we end up with the cybernetic paradigm which arose during Second World War in the military sector. The cybernetic paradigm, the study of control of systems, living or not living, is based on the concept of information: if everything, from the living to the inorganic world, can be reduced to an exchange of information, then every barrier and every difference between the living and the non living, between the human and the machine. And the the subject will be reduced to a sum of information items, a programme which can be deciphered and thus modified like a machine. Finally, we get to the development of genetic engineering and synthetic biology. Craig Venter, founder of Celera Genomics, after having sequenced the human genome, launched the Minimal Genome Project. Why would a company spend time and money on such simple organisms, when others were already competing to sequence the genomes of frogs, rats and chimpanzees? Right from the outset of the Genome Project, Venter’s goal had not only been to read genes or edit their DNA, but to redesign them through synthetic biology.

The ultimate aim of these processes is always the human being, this was clearly expressed by the Singularity University in a recent conference on Exponential Medicine: “We can design embryos. We can edit genes in humans. We have synthetic biology. And so we really are looking at designing future humans”.

Transhumanism is not a side effect, but the point of arrival of technological development, it is the ideology of the convergence between biotechnologies, nanotechnologies, information science and neurosciences.

Transhumanist ideology seeks to empower and implement the human through technology to achieve its biotechnological transformation: the post-human. Biology and even bodies are seen as constraints and limits to be overcome, reinforced, modified or eliminated. Before the desired biotechnological transformation or hybridisation with machines, what is being transformed is the ontological concept of human: we have never been human, we have always been cyborgs and hybrids. What is emerging is an anthropotechnical cyborg concept, where the human being is undetermined, and co-builds himself with technology, an indetermination which is technical hybridisation, where the very nature of human, his biological existence, is technological. A technical hybridisation which destroys the borders between subject and object, between nature and technique, between the living and the machine, so that everything, from nature around us to our very bodies, becomes an artefact. Chile: Reformalization Hearing of Monica Caballero & Francisco Solar

Posted on 2021/07/15 by darknights

A few days before the one year anniversary of the arrest and imprisonment of Monica and Francisco, the 11th Court of Santiago set a hearing of “REFORMALIZATION OF THE INVESTIGATION” of our comrades for Wednesday July 14 at 11:00 am, which in concrete terms is a reformulation of charges.

It should be noted that in August the second investigative period will be completed after the extension of the initial investigation period of 6 months and given the punitive line of judges and prosecutors and the policy of extending the investigative process and pre-trial detention, it is a fact that the investigation and incarceration times will be extended even further.

We call to be attentive to the situation of Monica and Francisco and to express from an always active and combative solidarity that our comrades are not alone.

Greece: Conclusions of the Revolutionary Struggle Trials for the Attack on the Central Bank of Greece (ECB Branch) & IMF – Pola Roupa

Posted on 2021/07/13 by darknights

On 14/4/2021 the curtain fell on the four courts that judged the attack of Revolutionary Struggle against the Central Bank of Greece, the ECB branch in Greece and the IMF, action that took place on 10/4/2014.

The decision to sentence me to 6 years for »simple complicity» in the attack and 3 months for »stealing the car» used in the action, shows the huge discrepancy with the first judicial sentence imposed on me, which was life imprisonment and 26 years of imprisonment. A discrepancy that does not have to do (only) with changes in the penal code, but reflects the distance between the judgment of different courts on the same issues, a distance that is mainly due to the different approaches to the cases that could not but have a political background. The frenzied vengeful attitude of the first two courts that tried me and comrade Nikos Maziotis to the maximum penalty for this action of Revolutionary Struggle is not explained by the existence of the Hun legal fossil of Article 270 of the Penal Code on the explosion, which was enacted in 1969 by the Colonial Junta to impose life sentences on those who chose attacks as resistance against that regime. After all, no post-Junta court has ever imposed a life sentence for any bombing and Article 270 of the Constitution is, in fact, ineffective to enforce its extreme version. Until only two courts imposed life imprisonment on me and Nikos Maziotis, making full use of this legal monstrosity of the Junta for political revenge.

Knowing the history of this law, we had repeatedly highlighted it, both in court and in texts we had made public, speaking of the need to withdraw it. The fact that it has «endured» so many years is not due to the negligence of the countless lawyers who have «served» in the legislature since 75, but to a conscious political decision, initially due to the explosive «post-coup» social period, in which there were many massive social reactions (riots, wildcat strikes, attacks, etc.). But his extreme version was never applied in other cases in the forty years since the end of the colonels’ junta.

In court during my appeal – following the prosecutor’s proposal – I said that the obsessively hostile attitude of the courts towards us is linked to political pressures on judges, which need not always be direct, but can be formed in a very vindictive political environment created around us by the executive, and which, combined with the personal political attitude of the judges and their personal ambitions for career advancement, form the conditions of the trials as the reasons why the executive and the legislature chose professional judges instead of citizens of the mixed jury to judge dynamic political opponents of the regime had been mentioned by I. Manoledakis saying: »… judges, subjected to hierarchical dependence and expecting their professional development within a hierarchically structured body, may be subjected to pressures in the opposite – punitive – direction, which is not the case with lay judges. As for the professional hardening of professional judges, which makes them stricter than lay judges, this, in my opinion, is not an advantage but a disadvantage for the administration of justice.» («Security and Liberty») Continue reading “Greece: Conclusions of the Revolutionary Struggle Trials for the Attack on the Central Bank of Greece (ECB Branch) & IMF – Pola Roupa” →
