“Yet Another War of Extermination” – Letter by anarchist prisoner Luca ‘Stecco’ Dolce (Italy)

Posted on 2026/01/21 - 2026/01/22 by darknights

Now that the masses all over the world have expressed their solidarity with Gaza, I’d be curious to know how social scientist Elias Canetti(1) would describe his concept of the “masses” in such a technological, warmongering and at the same time, exterminating age as ours. He says that mass society exists in the mind of human beings before it materially expresses itself. If ancient societies chose certain social and economic forms of mere subsistence, it was because they deliberately chose not to use bureaucratic or authoritarian methods: they foresaw their dangers. Our ancestors, therefore, were perfect political animals, aware and active observers of the community’s social life.

So what are these squares and streets full of people today, if in our daily lives we go back to the riverbed of a life organized and imposed by others?

Now that the “truce” in Gaza is divulged and imposed with the stamp of the army boot and the mediatic hype on the Flotilla, now that they are silencing and dampening the surge against the massacre, how to transform it into an action going beyond the manifestation and expression of opinions? Power uses human emotions as a can opener; often, the former gives its best in its “delayed reaction” empathic emotion and during “emergencies”, and it coagulates in peaks of scorn. A humanity which is nevertheless still alive despite all the efforts to atomize it. Its more progressive components are proving united in the face of the evidence of an extermination. Over the reaction timing, we should reason at length. Unfortunately, we haven’t yet understood in depth how deceitful and blackmailing the tactics of the enemies of life are, to what extent do commodities and quiet living manage to recuperate the movements, even sincere ones, at least here in Europe. In order to be more incisive and longsighted they have to doggedly overcome exactly the traps scattered over the ground of the struggle, which have the precise function of making everyone go back to the wishy-washy pen of the democratic morals, to issues such as the use of liberating violence or not, to inaction. Let’s move from emotions to self-organizing and direct action. If the roads of freedom are hindered, revolutionary movements of the past teach us opacity and going underground.

Letter from Prison by Comrade Dena a.k.a Apip a.k.a Scoobydoomz

–

Detention Center, West Java Police Headquarter. January 13, 2026.

Greetings, comrades! I hope this message finds you well. As I write, I’ve just been informed that my case has been submitted to the prosecutor’s office. The police investigator told me I have only a few more days left in this cell. I hope to be transferred to Kebon Waru Prison by the end of this month, where I can reunite with other comrades, even if it’s under the condition of being “imprisoned.”

To those of you outside, trust in the fire burning in your chest–it won’t easily fade if you believe in it. This struggle is fated for anyone who stands by it. We didn’t start this war; we’re simply fighting back! We resist the tyranny of the powerful, the violence of the authorities, the massive land evictions, the monopoly on natural resources, the criminalization of those who speak out, those who defend their rights, indigenous communities, and our fellow comrades. We’re only fighting back against all of that!

Comrades, the actions you take–whether through resistance or defiance–are nothing compared to the injustice they have inflicted upon us. Stay strong and unshaken! Fighting back is the truest form of love.

Broken Windows Chaos Theory – The Collective

Broken windows – Broken state – Leaves families feeling that is their fate – Failing systems – Failing state – leaves mental health in a similar state – Families hungry they turn to crime – Shunned by society

That is a crime- Destroy the system – Destroy the state – This is the only inevitable fate – As rich get richer, poor get poorer – Unite and shout so they can’t ignore ya – Time to banish this cancerous new world order

Compassion, love – And a sprinkling of disorder – Our new world order

Let these words stew – ruminate – And just remember

Fuck the State

Letter from some imprisoned comrades from the ‘Chaos Star’ case (Indonesia)

Posted on 2025/11/30 - 2025/11/30 by darknights

Palang Hitam/ABC: This letter is by a section of the Chaos Star defendants in the West Java Paramilitary police compound. The reference in the signature to FAAF, is the Free Association of Autonomous Fires. Fire To The Prisons!

Greetings to friends and to enemies alike,

Even now, the structures of power—ancient, rigid, and towering—continue to stand. Yet last August, people cracked the illusion of their invincibility. They showed that nothing is beyond transformation when our desires converge into a force capable of opening pathways toward the worlds we long to create.

We are individualists because we refuse the ideological fantasies of withered anarchists who preach like missionaries of a fading religion.

We are individualists because we believe in an anarchy of imagination—creative, diverse, unbound.

We are individualists who hold that nihilism is a concrete passage toward self-actualization, beyond the messianic dead-ends of dividing reality into “good” and “evil,” knowing full well the complexity of life cannot be squeezed into the decaying relics of Judeo-Christian doctrine—relics that should be buried like the myths of prophets and their fading gods.

We are individualists because we believe in the absolute autonomy of each person to shape the life they desire—yet we also believe in cooperation, in the equality of individuals who pursue their desires together. Our anti-social anarchy is an active refusal of the old values reproduced endlessly in everyday life.

At the same time we are bewildered, amused, and entertained by the foolish accusations hurled by some social anarchists who label us “purists” as if our rejection of organization were born of loyalty to some classical anarchist canon—an ideology drenched in Eurocentrism, streaked with the colonial residue of Western civilization, and infused with the Enlightenment’s humanism, the very root of authoritarian democracy. We reject all ideologies. The rebels of Paris Commune in 1871, the revolutionaries of Spain in 1936, the dreamers of Paris in 1968, and those of August 2025—all remind us of brief lives that were truly worth living beyond any ideologies.

From behind these walls and bars, we send a sharp wind toward every wild soul, reminding them that they are not alone against the repulsive realities engineered by the powerful.

The compass of anarchy draws us together at the threshold between free will and the will to power. We belong to no formal anarchist organization (spare us).

We are not part of impotent collectives like the PRISONERS’ UNION, (Serikat Tahanan) nor of any group that claims us for their own—much less the so-called anarchist movement with its church-like rigidity and archaic morality.

Toward the fusion of social and individual anarchy, and toward the negation of every radical movement that mirrors—or even surpasses—the mental and physical prisons of the state and capitalism!

This is an open letter to all anarchist of praxis. Fuck all idols, burn all radical bibles, and attack the enemy on all fronts.

A Basket of Thoughts – Italian Anarchist Massimo Passamani Solidarity With Hunger Strike

Posted on 2025/11/17 - 2025/11/17 by darknights

In the twilight zone of sorts I find myself in- neither free nor fully imprisoned – I have decided to give up my daily work release from prison for the next week, as a gesture of solidarity with the Palestine Action comrades on hunger strike in British prisons, a strike my friend and brother Stecco has also joined. I know that my staying in prison instead of going to work will not bother the prison administration in the least. But my message is not addressed to prison management – whom I have nothing to say to and nothing to ask of but to those who are fighting against the genocide of the Palestinian people, alongside its indomitable resistance.

What I can offer, along with this small gesture, is a basket of thoughts, a handful of words with which to express what is in my heart.

The strength that comes to me from British prisons which, in turn, reflects the tenacity of that resistance which Zionist prisons and administrative detention centers are unable to bow, despite the isolation, the torture, and the rapes has not only the form of a commonality of ethics and ideals, but also the intensity of the emotions I feel in reading the hunger strike statements. Information about the new prosecution and court case against Lambros & Panagiotis Vougiouklakis and Fotis Daskala (Greece)

Posted on 2025/06/26 - 2025/06/26 by darknights

This is an English-language translation of the following text by comrades Lambros and Panagiotis Vougiouklakis and Fotis Daskalas on Athens Indymedia.

Human dignity is a term we meet in the dictionary, and it defines the choice of a person to act based on solidarity, punctuality, consciousness and the uncompromising struggle against the enemies of freedom.

The history of all hitherto societies is the history of struggles for dignity, a social – class war. Free man or slave, patrician or plebeian, invader or resistance fighter, in one word: oppressor or oppressed, are in constant opposition to one another. A continuous struggle which is expressed either covertly, or openly.

The ruling classes of each age use justice and the legal system to neutralise those who, with their struggle, question the status quo of those above, those who choose to react to the unjust. Justice is but the expression of a power balance, and that is why it was always used to force revolutionaries into silence, to imprison the rebellious, to compel insurgents to renunciation.

Bourgeois justice is the natural result of a society of people who want to deceive as much as possible, since deception is the only path towards power and wealth. “The Possibility of a Historic Moment is Now” – Burkhard Garweg

Posted on 2025/03/18 - 2025/03/18 by darknights

… from the German newsite “nd” …

Below we document a letter from Burkhard Garweg, which was sent exclusively to »nd«. Garweg is one of the most wanted people by German police authorities because of suspected RAF membership and several robberies in which millions of euros were stolen. His letter is a critical outline of the history of the Red Army Faction (RAF) and at the same time a response to Caroline Braunmühl, daughter of RAF victim Gerold von Braunmühl, who in January in the »nd« was critical of her brother’s »call for clarification« , but also responded to a previous letter from Burkhard Garweg. Burkhard Garweg now addresses Braunmühl’s statements in his current text. He criticizes the RAF for a phase lasting from 1977 to around 1990 in which the urban guerrillas made military confrontation with the state the focus of their politics and neglected social revolutionary struggles. The author, born in 1968, comes from the autonomous squatter movement and now lives illegally, alternates between two levels in his text: one that analyses and evaluates from today’s perspective and a second, in italics, that speaks very personally from the past and his youth. Burkhard Garweg’s contribution is fully documented below.

“The possibility of a historic moment is now”

On the history of the RAF and the question of the reconstruction of an anti-capitalist, social revolutionary, anti-patriarchal and internationalist movement in the present day.

“The possibility of a historic moment is now”

On the history of the RAF and the question of the reconstruction of an anti-capitalist, social revolutionary, anti-patriarchal and internationalist movement in the present day.

In her text in »nd.Die Woche« of January 18, 2025, Caroline Braunmühl presents an alternative position to the bourgeois attitude that attempts to depoliticize the history of militant and armed resistance by reducing its content to violence and negating a political conflict.

In my statement of December 2024, it was also important to me to present resistance to capitalism in the context of the relations of violence – exploitation, the rule of man over man, nationalism, militarism and war – and thus to conduct the debate according to historical reality and to counter the historiography of the rulers and their attempts at manipulation.

The aim of bourgeois historiography is to delegitimize and criminalize anti-capitalist resistance and its history. Its elites have a fundamental interest in maintaining the conditions of exploitation and oppression and in being able to continue to make profits. This is what the proclamation from the ranks of its elites in the 1990s, which has gone down in history, stands for: “there is no alternative.”

Caroline Braunmühl associates the RAF and other militant groups, such as the Rote Zora, with radical resistance against the “violence of socially dominant groups and individuals against socially subordinates – such as class justice, patriarchal violence or transnational relationships of exploitation, oppression and war, from which the economic elites in the Federal Republic of Germany have profited and continue to profit today.” She identifies the justification for militant resistance against violent relations and at the same time denies the legitimacy of targeted assassinations by the RAF in its history.

She criticizes my statement from a feminist perspective and for lacking criticism of the RAF.

I agree with her that a reflective picture of the history of the struggles with the ability to see their weaknesses is necessary. The main thing is to be able to draw conclusions for the struggles of the future.

The world of the dominant capitalist system is moving at an increasing pace towards social and global erosion: war, poverty, displacement and the destruction of the planet’s ecological basis for life. The bourgeois state – and this affects the entire capitalist center of Europe and the USA – is increasingly using right-wing and authoritarian means. It uses the construction of a “national community” to differentiate itself from migrants, Muslims, refugees and the poor. It uses racism, nationalism and rapid militarization both internally and externally. This has repercussions – some of which are also intended – on bourgeois society.

This is becoming radicalized by the deeply rooted racist, patriarchal and social forms of differentiation, exclusion and oppression within society. The world is unmistakably moving towards an infernal tipping point of social, ecological and military erosion.

Capitalism offers no solution to this. It would also be a contradiction in terms. The elites’ solutions to the crisis are now authoritarianism, fascism, war and the process of unifying bourgeois and fascist politics. This is nothing other than a journey into the possible abyss with clear parallels to the historical crises that culminated in the world wars of 1914 and 1939 – albeit with an extremely increased global destructive potential in modern times.

Anyone who wants to prevent this should focus less on the hopeless rescue of bourgeois democracy as a facet of capitalism and the associated retention of the fundamental relations of violence, but rather on social revolutionary alternatives that can only be achieved as a result of social revolutionary and emancipatory struggles.

Existential questions arise: In which steps, initiatives and processes can the reconstruction of an anti-capitalist, social revolutionary and internationalist left be achieved?

But also: What do we take with us into the future from the struggles and concepts of history, from the attempts to overcome the thoroughly violent capitalism and imperialism? How do we as revolutionary leftists discuss and write history from below and appropriate it for the struggles of today and tomorrow and against the propagandistic, depoliticizing and criminalizing historiography from above? Berlin, Germany: Message of Comrade Daniela Klette at the 30th International Rosa Luxemburg Conference

Posted on 2025/01/30 - 2025/01/30 by darknights

Political letter from RAF prisoner of war Daniela Klette from the Vechta Women’s Maximum Security Prison, at the 30th International Rosa Luxemburg Conference held on 11 January in Berlin on the topic: The last battle – how dangerous is capitalism in decline.

Dear participants of the Rosa Luxemburg conference,

Dear comrades,

I greet you today from the prison in Vechta. I was arrested almost a year ago after decades of living in illegality.

I am facing years of legal proceedings on charges of participation in armed expropriations. In addition, ‘justice’ is pursuing another trial against me on the charge of participating as a urban guerrilla fighter against capitalism and imperialism.

I was 17 years old when the Vietnamese liberation struggle crushed American imperialism. This incredible victory was achieved with worldwide solidarity – despite the napalm, despite the huge military machine that stood in the way of the liberation movement, and despite the massacres of the Vietnamese population perpetrated by the US army with the help and complicity of the West, especially Germany.

I was 16 years old when I was informed that a man on hunger strike against the torture of isolation had been murdered. It was Holger Meins who actively resisted the conditions of confinement and was murdered by the prison system, through deliberate malnutrition – during state forced feeding – and a complete refusal to provide medical assistance.

It was the era of liberation projects and anti-colonial struggles in many countries: like the Black Panthers against racist oppression rebelling in the USA, or the FSLN in Nicaragua against the dictatorship. I was already beginning to understand what humanity had to expect from capitalism and imperialism. Yes, I saw myself as part of the global movements fighting against exploitation and oppression, against capitalism and patriarchy, and against war and militarism.

Justice is now negotiating my guilt in the legal sense. For me, there is no question of guilt, but there is the following question, which has mobilised and continues to mobilise millions of people: how do we overturn the correlations that reproduce world war, displacement, exploitation, patriarchal and racist oppression, poverty and total ecological destruction?

The powerful of the world, struggling to maintain their power, are preparing for total war. Society is characterized by ever-increasing poverty, militarization and a growing shift to the right. Capitalism is heading towards ecological collapse: the state of the world today makes it abundantly clear that the questions about how to overcome these conditions were and remain legitimate and are now more necessary than ever to be answered. These questions concern us all and can only be answered collectively and by mass movements. I would love to be with you and work collectively on these issues, but state repression and the state’s will to condemn all resistance from below does not allow it.

No one who is imprisoned as a member of subversive and revolutionary movements is persecuted simply because of their alleged or actual actions. We are condemned to years of misery in prison because of the state’s insistence on delegitimizing the history of revolutionary struggles and preventing the struggles of the future. This happens to me, just as it happened to Mumia Abu-Jamal and Leonard Peltier in the US, to the captured anarchists in Greece – Marianna, Dimitris, Nikos, Dimitra – and many other political prisoners worldwide.

In this sense, the legal proceedings against me are proceedings against liberationist, radical and anti-capitalist resistance. My trial is about to begin shortly. I would be very happy if those of you who can attend it, so that it becomes clear that this trial is not a trial against me, but against all those who are engaged in the question of overthrowing capitalism. Every form of solidarity is welcome!

I wish you every success and, yes, I hope you have a lot of fun at this year’s Rosa Luxemburg conference!

Solidarity, fighting and warm greetings to all of you.

Daniela Klette

Athens, Greece: Letter from anarchist comrade Nikos Romanos from Korydallos Prison

Posted on 2024/12/05 by darknights

Monday, November 18, was the day when time stopped for me once again. Hooded anti-terrorism officers, handcuffs, holding cells, television cameras, news bulletins, journalistic scripts, police theories. Behind this familiar pattern and the communicative storm of guilt, there is another reality.

They are the wounds that resurface and multiply, shattering families, destroying human relationships, annihilating dreams, hopes, plans of a life condemned once again to the death of frozen time.

Because the language of truth cannot be hidden, I repeat, I deny the indictment in its entirety. An unfounded, baseless, exaggerated, and unsubstantiated indictment that arises abusively, creating more questions than it actually answers. Following the established political logic of the anti-terrorism law, which creates a category of defendants that exists outside the legal system, since everyone is guilty until proven innocent. The language spoken by the system has already issued its verdict. I became a wandering trophy for all kinds of exploitation. An exhibit in the showcases of the museums of lies and oblivion. With the label of “terrorist” hanging on the annex “guilty of all times,” for observation by usually naive, but mainly scared and peace-loving visitors.

For those who gamble with human lives in the dice of a vulgar and shameless political game, for those who believe that the power they hold gives them the ability to crush souls for their own reasons, I will reiterate the obvious.

From the bloodied pedestrian street of Messolonghi, the interrogation offices, the gray corridors of the prisons, the court benches, the slow death of confinement. From the choices I made with all my soul, choices etched in real blood, at great cost and with unyielding knees, I do not yield an inch.

It is part of the history of a generation of people who revolted and on whose backs, large parts of the political system washed away its sins by hanging it out to dry on the lines of repressive and media cannibalism.

But now I am not in prison because I made conscious choices that carried corresponding risks. On the contrary, my life is sold as a political product, on the shelf of the communication supermarket, with the price of the bag charged to me, waiting for prospective voters to shop piece by piece until the next time.

It is truly sad for me (and not just me) that I will be called upon to prove that I am not an elephant, having an impending sentence hanging over my head that will condemn me to live again, for an indefinite period, as a prisoner.

I have lived half of my adult life in prison. I will not passively accept this such an unfair statistic, consisting of much pain and countless loneliness, to cover me in concrete and bars.

I will not accept extreme measures like pre-trial detention without a legal and political battle to win back my life.

In this hasty and necessary initial statement, I want to thank from the depths of my heart those who stood by me with selfless love. The fight for my vindication and my definitive release from this unjust indictment now begins.

In conclusion…

Honor to those who in their lives have appointed and guard the Thermopylae. Never moving from duty; just and upright in all their actions, but with sorrow and compassion; brave when they are rich, and when they are poor, still somewhat brave, again assisting as much as they can; always speaking the truth, but without hatred for the liars. And more honor is due to them when they foresee (and many foresee) that the Ephialtes will appear in the end, and the Medes will finally cross.

Chile: A death in action is an eternal call to struggle. Letter to the comrades of Kyriakos and Marianna. EN/ES

Posted on 2024/11/07 - 2024/11/07 by darknights

A death in action is an eternal call to struggle.
Letter to the comrades of Kyriakos and Marianna.

Kyriakos has left us, he died in an apartment last Thursday. Marianna is seriously wounded in the Evangelismos hospital. Both anarchist comrades present in different scenarios of the struggle. We receive the news with sadness and closeness because the last breath of her life could have been eventually also the last of several of us. Our feelings cannot be more than immense affection and admiration because we know that those who walk the path of the anarchist offensive are valuable and unique in their qualities, contradictions and contributions to the struggle.

Our era is marked by the naturalization of war and death in the service of conflicts between powers, turning loss into a figure, forgetting names and identities. On the other hand, in this, our war against power, we do not forget any face, we do not forget any name. From now on, every 31st of October will be a day in which we, the anarchists of the world are summoned to take a step forward and take up arms against the states, capital and authority, internationally braiding the horizon of anarchy and freedom through attack. None of our dead will be a reference to an old history, they are the present of action and combat.

We can already imagine comrades what they must be facing:crude press statements, lurid images, inaccurate theories, repression and surveillance. Faced with this, the urgency to confront the coarse and lies: it is the precise moment to tell our story and defend it proudly and fiercely.

Recently some thirty young fighters suffered an incendiary accident while they were participating in a day of street fighting at a high school in Santiago de Chile (INBA). Several of them are still in vital risk. The response from the surrounding area has been concise: many people have come forward to donate blood, there have been instances of solidarity to collect money and there have been several expressions of propaganda in the streets, while at the same time resisting the police harassment in the hospitals where our young comrades are fighting minute by minute to live and recover.

We are telling you this because we feel and we understand the pain that unexpectedly looms and floods everything, wounds that in the heat of the hours seem to transform, seem to turn into a labyrinth with no way out. But it is here and in these moments where we must go out to meet the uncontrollable and rabid flight for freedom, without restraint or confusion. Transiting through the genuine, the precariousness and the hard-won, we have learned the bad habit of persisting even when the obstacles seem colossal, consolidating through facts that our only defeat will be not to try.

Incendiaries, nonconformists, restless, unyielding, tireless, irascible: Let us push and give body to our desires to subvert the existing order through the use of all methods of struggle within our reach. We greet with affection and affectionately to your families, comrades, friends and close ones, know that from Chile to Greece we we show our solidarity in these difficult moments.

Anarchist comrade Kyriakos Present!
Strength and courage to comrade Marianna Manoura.
Solidarity with the arrested and persecuted.
Forward the anarchist urban guerrilla.
