Last night, we set fire to fuse boxes, supply cables and a ventilation system belonging to Micro Resist Technology on the grounds of the Wuhlheide Innovation Park. While Germany is once again unrestrainedly mobilizing for military strength and war capability with a turnaround, special funds and compulsory military service, we are targeting the heart of the technological mega-machine with our sabotage and, with microchip production, are also hitting one of the most sensitive points of civil-military cooperation. This attack is intended as a contribution to the protests against National Veterans Day next Sunday – fire and flame instead of glory and honor for militarism, soldiering and fatherland!

Tiny giants at the intersection of technology and war

The web of capitalist domination is tightening ever tighter around us. Technological progress is the engine that drives the destructive mega-machine and allows it to penetrate ever further into the most intimate areas of our existence. Inanimate objects made of plastic and metal, which, equipped with sensors, microphones, lenses, microchips etc., are increasingly becoming prostheses for social interaction, replacing genuine, empathetic relationships and causing our cognitive abilities to atrophy. At the same time, we are being tracked at every turn by social media, voice assistants, artificial intelligence, “smart” devices, facial recognition and many other surveillance tools, whereby everything we do is being increasingly incorporated into the capitalist value chain. Big data becomes big money. The implementation of such technologies in our everyday lives shapes our existence and the algorithmic calculations derived from them increasingly decide and determine our future. Once we have become accustomed to them, these mechanisms have such an all-encompassing effect that it is almost inconceivable for most people today to escape their digital grasp. For many, even the thought of it triggers anxiety. What remains is an army of slaves to the machine, dependent, controlled, externally determined and not even aware of this relationship.

However, this is only one side of the technological attack. Technology can and should not only manipulate our thoughts and actions, it should also kill. Almost all relevant technologies can be traced back to military research and development in order to gain advantages on the battlefield. Not only against hostile nations, but also in the social war against the exploited, superfluous and precarious of the population. From nuclear power to the internet, from cybernetics to artificial intelligence – our everyday lives are permeated by things that have a military logic at their core. In extreme cases, this can mean that apps that playfully accompany us through the day today feed and train the same machines on the basis of which an AI-controlled drone will determine and destroy its target tomorrow. A practice that is sometimes used by the Israeli military in particular through AI programs such as “Lavender” in their unleashed campaign of destruction against the Palestinian population of Gaza and with the friendly support of their Western accomplices. What seems like an episode from a dystopian science fiction movie is the gruesome reality of technological “achievements”, which are summarized under the term “dual-use” and are inherent in most technologies. Companies such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, Siemens, Telekom and Tesla are just some of the best-known players operating at the interface between civil and military applications. Companies that produce highly specialized key technologies such as microchips/semiconductors, without which none of the modern technical devices would work, are far less well known. On the night between 30/04/2024 and 21/04/2024¹, with 6 incendiary devices we permanently disabled at least 16 Amazon vans in a company parking lot in Berlin/Thyssenstraße.

Notoriously, May 1 is the international day of struggle of the working class. Our gasoline barbecue is meant to incite the struggle against the oppression of people and nature and fuel the inevitable clash between exploited and masters.

The dismissal or even socialization of large technology companies and global players such as Amazon, Tesla, Apple, Facebook or Google is inconceivable and cannot be a prospect for the exploited. We believe that reforming these companies or making them more “socially acceptable” is futile because their power is too great and the ideas and concepts of humanity inherent in them are diametrically opposed to our idea of freedom. We believe that the desire to scrutinize and control every human thought, every social relationship and even the smallest step in work processes is a threat to life itself. If then even these smallest dimensions are to be controlled and adapted to a predetermined appearance, it is violent domination in its purest form! Often it is the megalomaniac white men who seek to shape and exploit the whole earth according to their patriarchal ideas. All this is called progress, although in reality these patriarchs are only trying to direct society in an all-powerful way toward their abstruse authoritarian visions of the future! Jeff, Elon, Mark, Bill and the like, rest assured that you will not rest!

These large corporations plan to dominate, surveil, and exploit people more and more intensively. Their digital networks, algorithms and technologies have become indispensable and permeate all areas of our lives. They affect our existence, our daily lives, our feelings, our thinking, our communication and our social relations. The technological onslaught thus also targets everything that has so far resisted capitalist exploitation. A dystopia that tends toward its fulfillment: endless amounts of data are collected, selected, evaluated and analyzed so as to ensure continuous and real-time analysis of social and relational processes. They must be monitored in order to predict developments and (ir)regularities. Small changes and shocks in the fragile economic market can affect supremacy in the race to maximize profits.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) represents the symbol of the link between the repressive organs of the state and capital. Not surprisingly, AWS has also specialized in armaments. For example, offering a new type of data center that will be used to gain military advantage anywhere in the world: the so-called AWS – Modular Data Centre (AWS – MDC), which is basically a modular database system placed in a container. It provides access to many of amazon’s cloud-based services and can be easily expanded with additional modules (containers). It can be downloaded anywhere, which is a clear military advantage: of course, Amazon limits the availability of AWS – MDC to U.S. government customers eligible for “Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability” (JWCC). In this case, it is the U.S. Department of Defense that will be able to acquire cloud computing capabilities and services directly from commercial providers of such services (including Mircosoft, Google, Oracle, etc.) at the desired speed and at all classification levels, from core to tactical.

The struggle against the exploitation of people and nature is a struggle against the wars of the rulers, their military, their armament industry! For the social revolution!

There are endless arguments and possibilities for attacking companies like Amazon and Tesla. That is why we look forward to an exciting week of action against Tesla.

State or pseudo-state oppression dates back thousands of years, and has had very precise stages that begin with the birth of the first cities, which then evolved into city-states, kingdoms, empires.
Those who chose to live outside these “organizations” could live as they wished.

But for us anarchists are the personification of evil and as such must be destroyed for the abominations of which they are guilty.
