Tasikmalaya Regency Pipe Bomb Case Begins + Komar is Gate Arrested (Indonesia)

Posted on 2026/03/10 - 2026/03/10 by darknights

10.3.26 : On February 26th, the trial began for another section of the comrades of the Chaos Star Case (Adit, Opal, Pem, Herdi and Hugo [informant]). This case is about a pipe bomb that exploded which destroyed a police post in Gentong, Tasikmalaya Regency in December 2024. The action was claimed by the Free Association of Autonomous Fires. The communique can be found in the Blessed Is The Flame chronicle and was also published on Dark Nights. The action was declared in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito, Nikos Romanos and all anarchist prisoners.

The comrades are being threatened with up to 25 years in prison. The anti-terrorist unit, Densus 88, tortured the comrades badly, including trying to damage their sight. The prosecutors maintain they have everything for a conviction, as well as the words of a snitch, Hugo. On early February 15 police officers from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Java Regional Police Headquarters went to Kebon Waru prison because Hugo reported that there was a threat to his life. These are the police that paid him as he coldly smoked cigarettes during the torture of our comrades and gave his “evidence”. All the comrades remain imprisoned in Kebon Waru.

On March 8th, we received the latest information that our comrade Ainun K “Komar” (a Chaos Star prisoner) was supposed to be released from the detention center in Bandung, but was immediately re-arrested by the Surabaya City Police (Polrestabes Surabaya) on suspicion of incitement through the Instagram account @blackbloczone. This new kidnapping comes as Komar has already been imprisoned for five months on the same charge in West Java. The Surabaya police are using the new laws which require less evidence and judicial process to revenge our comrade. Many of the imprisoned comrades are due for release but the tactics of the police bastards have to be confronted. What is particulary ridiculous is the accusation against Komar, is that he is responsible for the mass insurrection which took place in Surabaya, which completely humiliated the police and lead to their facilities being widespread destroyed. Release Komar now!

Fuori Alfredo dal 41 bis
Iniziative a Carrara e a Pisa, 14 e 18 marzo 2026

Rome, Italy: Claim of responsibility for sabotaging the railway line against the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics

Claim of responsibility for sabotaging the railway line against the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics (Rome, 13 February 2026)

Rome – Claim of responsibility for sabotaging the railway line against the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics

Fire to the Olympics! No travelling today!

On the night of the 13th February, at various points and railway junctions, we set fire to and damaged the cables along the tracks, effectively blocking several high-speed lines.
These actions are our contribution to the warm welcome and best wishes for this edition of the Winter Olympic Games.

We participated in massive road and port blockades during the months of mobilisation for Palestine, we invaded stations and attacked the police whenever possible. But today we chose to act under the cover of moonlight, in a small group united by affinity and the desire to live up to the slogans shouted in recent months: let’s block everything!
Because we believe that, in addition to participating in large mobilisations and the conflict they can generate, it is necessary to spread autonomous action, so as not to let them be defused, recuperated and directed by the professionals of “militant” politics.

The powers that be are preparing for war, and we anarchists, revolutionaries and conscious individuals would like to do the same. The railway infrastructure is a key hub for the movement of military forces and materials, and the agreement between RFI and Leonardo, aimed at implementing military logistics on the peninsula, is the clearest example of this. Attacking RFI is therefore a concrete act of anti-militarism and a gesture of solidarity with all those who today suffer the atrocities of war and colonialism.

The Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics are no exception: rivers of money fueling construction speculation, happy to arm rivers of concrete to build disposable facilities and change the social “intended use” of entire working-class neighbourhoods. A big business that, behind the glossy and prestigious image of the major sporting event, hides hectares of larch forests razed to the ground to make way for ski slopes and mountains irreversibly disfigured by the associated ski lifts.

Finally, this action expresses our anger at the presence at the Games of ICE agents, the anti-immigrant squads now sadly notorious for murders, round-ups, abuse and violence perpetrated against undesirables and internal opponents in the United States, which reminds us that every police force and every fascist group is there to be used against its own population when “reasons of state” require it.

Only a few ingredients are needed to take action against the world of exploitation, oppression and devastation: a little study, caution and determination in equal measure, a few accomplices, a few litres of fuel… and anything is possible! Good luck!

Statements by Anna Beniamino, from Rebibbia prison, and Juan Sorroche, from Terni prison, and greetings from Action for Palestine Ireland on the occasion of the “Sabotage the War and Repression” initiatives on February 7 and 8 in Viterbo

Some contributions from inside and outside prisons for the initiatives
“Sabotage war and repression” on February 7 and 8 in Viterbo

On February 7, about 150 people took to the streets in Viterbo for a radical demonstration that showed how it is possible and necessary to link the issues of war and repression: with the resistance of the Palestinian people, against defeatism in Ukraine, against repression as an expression of war policies on the home front, against 41 bis as a war prison, and in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito. These issues were explored in greater depth the following day, again in the city of Viterbo, at a very rich militant conference. Here is the text announcing the two initiatives:
https://ilrovescio.info/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Sabotiamo-la-guerra-e-la-repressione-corretto-al-23.12.pdf

While waiting to publish further material as it becomes available, we are circulating letters from Anna and Juan from the prisons where they are being held as contributions to the conference on February 8. We are also publishing a greeting from Ireland, as partial testimony to the internationalist nature of the days of struggle and discussion on February 7 and 8.

Contribution by Anna Beniamino from section AS2 of the Rebibbia women’s prison (Rome) for the conference held on February 8 in Viterbo.

First of all, thank you for asking me to contribute to the conference on War and Repression. I will try, starting from the perspective that is, despite myself, clearer here: repression and the ‘local’ repercussions, in prisons, of global policies of war, economic austerity, and the militarization of society.
I am aware that there are no theoretical recipes or detailed, definitive analyses, but only a simple and solid certainty that any real, non-virtual struggle implies reaction and repression.
The problem is ‘only’ to take this into account, to be ready and not to be paralyzed by fear of it, to build solidarity and awareness of one’s own means and ends, with continuity and tenacity. Especially in these times when preventive repressive work is spreading across multiple levels, both covert and overt.
Starting in 2022, when Alfredo was transferred to 41 bis, I wrote several times about differentiated circuits and regimes as well as, long before that, inside and outside prison, about struggles and repression, in ordinary and “extraordinary” terms; I refer back to all this and to my latest notes for the Roman assembly against 41 bis.
Essentially, I believe that the discussion should be resumed… because it is never over, nor have the ethical assumptions that supported it fallen away, so as not to leave a well-established discussion unfinished, not to leave a comrade alone, not to waste an opportunity in which a single battle has shown how we can be together, “irredeemable” and positively recognizable outside the narrow area of the anarchist movement in its content, so as not to leave alone the comrades who are now facing the various trials connected with the mobilization, because credibility is also built on continuity and consistency, because the mask has been removed from one of the pillars of bipartisan rhetoric on “mafia and terrorism,” because the “fight against terrorism” is now a global smokescreen and the current context of militarized capitalism and blatant neocolonialism in the procurement of resources and the opening of trade routes lends itself well to the reception of an anti-authoritarian, anti-militarist message of solidarity among the oppressed. Italy: “Operation City”, a crackdown on the mobilization against 41bis prison regime in Italy and in solidarity with anarchist comrade Alfredo Cospito

“Operation City”, a crackdown on the mobilization against 41bis prison regime in Italy and in solidarity with anarchist comrade Alfredo Cospito

From October 2022 to April 2023, a strong solidarity movement accompanied the hunger strike of Alfredo Cospito, an anarchist prisoner in 41-bis, the most afflictive prison regime in the Italian penitentiary system, a regime of extreme harshness and isolation, a tomb where one spends 22 hours in a cell, with hardly any possibility to communicate with the outside world (censorship on all communications and with only a one-hour visit per month with a family member or a ten-minute phone call, also a month).

Initiatives, demonstrations, direct actions have marked in Italy, and in many other parts of the globe, the steps of a heterogeneous movement that has grown to give strength to Alfredo’s protest. A protest which not only called for the transfer of Alfredo himself from the 41bis regime but also demanded the abolition of this legalized torture together with that of ostensive life imprisonment i.e., life sentences without the possibility of access to parole or benefits, with which the Italian State as of today condemns almost 1300 prisoners to die in prison.

A government that is strongly characterizing its policy on the tightening and embitterment of laws and sentences, obviously had no problem ignoring, and sometimes mystifying, that struggle that highlighted the State’s torturer’s true face and it certainly would not have given in, if Alfredo, after 6 months of struggle, had not interrupted his hunger strike. But the objectives of protest and mobilization remain on the table of causes worth fighting for. Obviously that same government, which probably would have left our comrade to die of hunger, did not delay in presenting the bill with investigations and trials in various territories and cities where the solidarity mobilizations of those months spread like wildfire.

Spoken contribution by Toby Shone for the Tattoo Circus, Bristol, 2025

Posted on 2025/12/01 - 2025/12/01 by darknights

This is from a talk by Toby at the Bristol Tattoo Circus, which took place a few weeks ago at a squatted venue in the city. After the talks and workshops there was bands, DJs and a benefit party. Free the prisoners!

Hello everyone,

Ok, we’re at Tattoo circus, my name is Toby Shone, I’m an ex-prisoner and anarchist. Tattoo Circus was started around 20 years ago in Italy as a way to fund anarchist prisoner solidarity campaigns.

I want to thank the organisers for inviting me here to speak, it’s very important as a released political prisoner to be able to come back into the community. Especially after living for a considerable amount of time distanced from the social movement. So overall, I want to communicate any lessons that can be told. Some of you already know me, so I’ll try not to bore you with what you know already, but for others I’ll just re-cap the case that I was involved in, then I’m going to simply give some anecdotes about my time in prison, and then speak about solidarity briefly.

I was arrested in the November 2020 Operation Adream case, and I was imprisoned for three years in conditions of solitary confinement and monitored for a year in line with UK-wide anti-terrorist restrictions by the National Security Division and Counter-Terror Police. From the evidence I’ve seen, it indicates that there is an ongoing investigation by the anti-terrorist units into the social movement in the South West region, and we can conclude that it’s also taking place across the country. I think it is certainly not for us to have to justify our harmlessness, but to really think about what it is going to take, long-term, for the type of social changes we’re aiming for. Italy: Anna Beniamino – Contribution from Rebibbia prison ahead of the national assembly on October 11 in Rome, in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito, against 41 bis

Posted on 2025/10/26 by darknights

Anna’s scattered notes as a contribution to the October 11 assembly in Rome against 41bis for Alfredo

There is no shortage of analysis of the authoritarian turn currently underway, a real turn, albeit perceived in these parts as a low-intensity phenomenon, amid the cynicism of the powerful and the indifference of their subjects, sedated by the bread and circuses of the digital age.
The ‘Cospito case’ has been and continues to be one aspect of this shift: Alfredo has been held hostage, under 41bis, as a warning of this repressive crackdown, but it is not an extreme case, a distortion of the system. Rather, it is a tangible sign of the lowering of the threshold of punishability for political and social opposition and the consolidation of preventive repression strategies, from the tabula rasa on active components to the outright annihilation of speech and the silencing of critical thought.
Analyses of the repressive context and of whether or not to focus on the discourse (41bis – Alfredo in 41bis – anti-anarchist repression – repression simply) are not uniform, I believe, but hopefully converge on the need to oppose it, a need that is non-negotiable and cannot be misunderstood as a mere remnant of indignation at a legal distortion.
“Necessity” in the sense that we must maintain awareness, as a manifestation of vitality and planning, that the struggle is an existential dimension, not a ritual deadline on micro or macro issues. Whether it concerns specific and limited issues, such as a campaign to show solidarity with a single comrade or a situation under repressive attack, or macro issues such as the current state of widespread war, the genocide of a people, or the technological restructuring of forms of exploitation of man by man and of nature, we must first of all be aware that this is not a matter of external, superficial adherence, but of an intimate reason for struggle.

Having made this “light” introduction…
Although the authoritarian shift in Italy is being led by a handful of showmen controlled by the interests of global capitalism, such as the current holders of government positions, it is a fact that they are succeeding in carrying out a concerted effort to reduce the scope for protest, tightening prison and legislative conditions in the name of security and the specter of the democratic stability of institutions. Of course, this is not only the result of the new actors on the parliamentary stage; it was already well underway in the 1980s, with repressive strategies launched against the revolutionary component, from which much has been taken in rhetorical and propagandistic form, more indigestible than any reheated dish (if before the “bad teachers” were Toni Negri, now they are mathematicians such as, mind you, not Theodore Kaczynski but… Piergiorgio Odifreddi, to give a small example from recent days). And those who are not obtusely sedated by the institutional narrative, on either side, should grasp the meaning of certain continuities, where the only function is subservience to domination, to capital.
It is no coincidence that, amid this deluge of propaganda and television talk show rhetoric, the battle cries of any regime remain unchanged: in addition to the criminalization of public squares, anarchist press, grassroots trade unionists… even pacifist environmentalists, there is an obsessive search for enemies, political opponents, and terrorists to be destroyed.
If there is a lack of ready-to-use material, given that we live in relatively peaceful times in terms of social opposition, in addition to new or very new material (complete with the criminalization of non-conformist immigrants and keyboard warriors turned into dangerous Islamists), old or very old material is dusted off or kept warm, sought after by entire countries and continents or walled up alive for half a century. Counterbalancing the inconsistency of the initiatives of struggle and solidarity is the constancy and inevitability of the state moloch. It is quite significant that the long repressive memory is counterbalanced by a revolutionary amnesia (to use the definition of some comrades in reference to the German movement grappling with a repressive backlash that culminated in the arrest of Daniela Klette) of everything that has been a heritage of struggle and critical thinking.
Amnesia is not random but is one of the effects of a strategy of tabula rasa on the defeated enemy. “Carthago delenda est” [DN: ‘Carthage must be destroyed’ meaning ‘It must be destroyed’] and let’s throw salt on its ruins. Today’s tyrants prefer luxury resorts built on human bone meal and artificial intelligence that trains young Palestinians to be happy waiters or odalisques [DN: harem slave], but it is a model applied at both the micro and macroscopic levels. It is precisely this feeling of tabula rasa that leads to having to rebuild from scratch every time and in every place, struggling in increasingly restricted and claustrophobic communication bubbles, illusory comfort zones among like-minded people who comment and criticize the moves of others like spectators at the edge of the ring… rather than feeling part of a movement in struggle.
