Athens, Greece: ‘Provocateur Faction’ takes responsibility for the incendiary attack on the house and police guard of the Supreme Court President Ioanna Klapa

Posted on 2025/04/12 - 2025/04/12 by darknights

“Injustice is not anonymous, it has a name and an address”

Bertolt Brecht

In the early morning hours of June 27th [2024] we attacked the house and the police guard of the President of the Supreme Court, Ioanna Klapa, in the Papagos area. That summer evening found the cop who happened to be on duty instead of carelessly gazing at Instagram photos or playing slots (in earlier watches this seemed to be how those on duty spent their time) screaming from the Molotov cocktails that burned him and then being rushed to the emergency room by his colleagues, badly injured. And Klapa, instead of sleeping, fearfully putting out the fire in the entrance and garden of her house.

But why did we choose to attack Klapa while her house was being guarded?

First of all, it was an operational choice with three political considerations. It was not a matter of mere desire or convenience but of collective recognition of the need to attack, yes, using the element of surprise, but on a guarded target. In a field where, in theory, immediate engagement reflexes have been designed and provided for by the police guard to protect the high profile person. In this area there is not room for much analysis. Their preparedness and the proud spirit of the Greek police corps went out the window. Although their operational planning was disgraced, we, to tell the truth, acknowledge that we did not achieve anything particularly great. Life the next day went on as usual, a world of squalor and rot remained the same and the violence of apathy, misery and deadlock still lingers. We had no illusions that we would achieve the most decisive blow to the mechanisms of bourgeois justice and the police. To be a substantially dangerous pole in the social war, however, you have to sharpen the violent responses quantitatively and qualitatively. This is a finding that is eloquently described even by renowned academics and in particular by the jurist Manoledakis: “The overthrow of a political power, and especially today when the state has a perfected huge mechanism for eliminating its opponents, cannot be done on paper or with wishful thinking. In order for the ‘political criminal’ to reach his goal, he must willingly or unwillingly violate a multitude of legal value so that his crime always appears complex. The state is a legal value entangled with other legal values (human lives, personal freedoms, facilities, services, etc.). To reach it you have to go through these values”. So we recognized the importance of such an action and achieved a goal that was both realistic and decisive. To wound their confidence and arrogance, to wound the security they feel in the quiet of their homes and their service cars. We have succeeded, and literally. The burn scars of the security guard will be there to remind him and his colleagues when they notice them that they are in fact vulnerable no matter how much they may think otherwise.

Here lies the second aspect of the rationale behind our attack and the conditions under which it was carried out. The central outcome of our operational planning was to completely destroy the service vehicle and injure the cop, which is what happened. If to some ears this sounds too violent and alienating to their humanistic, pea-brained little minds, then we are speaking and addressing those who read this text and either consciously and with clear political and ideological commitment advocate revolutionary violence by all means or those who instinctively rejoiced and chuckled when they heard the news of a cop being injured that day. To all of them we say that this act was another contribution to the feud we have with the bollocks of the Hellenic Police. We owe this feud and its continuation to our dead. It is a deep and conscious choice with the first and foremost weapon being the determination that defines the need to avenge our dead.

Greece: On the eve of the Tempi disaster an Anti-Terrorist operation has been unleashed *updated*

The anti-terrorist attack on the eve of the Tempi*

An anti-terrorist operation has been carried out since this morning in various regions of Greece. Houses have been raided and at least eight people have been brought in. They are talking about arrests as they link it to the bank bombing in Petralona. It is “interesting” that they are linking all eight to the same case. Journalistic reports are non-existent as everyone is reproducing the paper the GADA is sending them.

Source: athens.indymedia

DN: Since Tuesday morning 27th February, a major operation of the Anti-Terrorism unit is underway. At least eight people have been brought to the GADA after operations in various areas of Athens and in two prisons in the region. One person arrested apparently has been in prison formerly for bank robbery and armed actions.

According to the same information, the arrests are related to the bomb attack that took place on 25th January at a bank in Petralona. Searches are also being conducted at the homes of the arrested persons. Searches of the prisons were conducted as the cops are accusing there being communication between the accused and people in prison.

Three days after the bombing, the new organisation ‘Conspiracy Vengeance‘ had claimed responsibility. The same anarchist group had also claimed responsibility for the grenade in the car of a prison officer now serving in Korydallos prison & for the attack on the house – offices of the company ERGOMAR of the well-known businessman Dimitris Marinelis.

We will provide more information as we receive it.

* DN Note:

On 28th February 2023, a head-on collision occurred between two trains south of the Tempe Valley in Greece, about halfway between the Greek towns of Tempi and Evangelismos in the Thessaly region. The collision involved a passenger train and a freight train, killing 57 people. It was discovered that the passenger train had been allowed to proceed on the wrong track and pass signals at danger despite the presence of the freight train on the same track. Protests and riots occurred throughout Greece following the accident. Beginning on 2nd March 2023, railway workers of Hellenic Train and the Athens Metro went on strike to protest the dangers related to the crash. Following the accident, Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis resigned, taking responsibility for the crash and for his failure to bring Greek railways to 21st-century standards. I fthis was not enough it is still being covered upo to this day that the crash was the responsibility of many governments of the past, underfunding due to the extreme austerity measures placed on Greece after the 2007-2008 financial crisis, but also rampant corruption in infrastructure projects that continues even up to the present.

We would also like to point out that the Greek state and its security forces have a habit of unleashing military junta-esque anit-terrorist operations when they feel their backs are up against the wall, whether it is the rise in urban guerrilla activity or scandals that totally expose their true nature that everyone knows about, in attempt to distract from themselves.

*Update*

The Anti-Terrorist cops who conducted the searches of 4 prisoners cells and houses of other individuals have confirmed the repressive operation is connected to the organisation ‘Conspiracy Vengeance’. Six people have been arrested, along with the 4 already inside prison. Seizure of items at houses included assault rifles, hand guns and explosives. Mobile phones have been siezed in the cells of the prisoners.

The ten people are accused of participation and membership of a terrorist organisation, criminal support and provision of essential information, attempted murder, violence against officials and judicial persons, explosion, manufacture and possession of explosives, damage to foreign property and violation of weapons legislation.

Five particular attacks have been mentioned within the case already:

1. The sending a package with explosives to the Thessaloniki Courthouse, 12/02/2024.

2. An improvised explosive device at a bank branch in Petralona on 25/01/2024.

3. An improvised explosive device on 13/11/2023 in a building complex in Kifissia, where a company is housed.

4. Throwing a grenade on 08/07/023 at a car owned by a prison officer in Haidari.

5. Throwing a grenade and exploding an improvised explosive device on 24/06/2023 in the yard of a house in Larissa.*

The ten accused will stand before the judges to make a plea on Sunday 3rd March.

Already the journalist vultures are circling, the slime media machine is in overdrive especially about the parcel bomb that was sent to the Thessaloniki court that was intended for the President of the Court of Appeal.

Nothing is over, everthing continues.

DN Note

* This is an attack that has not been claimed, that the authorities are claiming was a failed attack.

Thessaloniki, Greece: Responsibility claim for Parcel – Bomb to the President of the Court of Appeal Anastasia Anthopoulou by ‘Armed Response’

Posted on 2024/02/19 - 2024/02/19 by darknights

The work of the judicial officials is clearly aimed at torturing and impoverishing all prisoners and in general all those who unfortunately have to face their fate.

Judges, prosecutors, appellants, all together have for years created a closed group of torturers, of course with the help and complicity of the governments of the day.

Especially in recent years with the Mitsotakis government, they have been leading the country in the path of the junta and repression. The decisions made in the courtrooms and in their offices are clearly vindictive and inhumane for the people. The scum who bear the “title” of president, supreme court of appeal, etc., are the ones who give the orders to seize the homes of people with health problems, the elderly, and those facing financial crisis.

They are the ones who judge at will how long people will sit in prison, regardless of evidence and proof, because they only like to make vengeful decisions at their own so-called discretion and administer their own “justice”, without considering anyone or anything.

They think they are in a higher class of people and that they can play with everyone’s lives. Their direct connections to high level cops and politicians place them in a context of self-empowerment and corruption with no checks and balances from anyone. They sign and arrange laws for their corrupt “friends”, they give orders for surveillance of people for personal gain.

A huge chapter is about prisoners and the constant tightening of sentences, of course with some exceptions that only serve “their own”. Extensive sentences, the various provisions that are imposed overnight as it suits them, lead prisoners to the daily battle for survival in miserable conditions.

When it comes to people of their own clique, by cover-ups and short procedures, they are relieved of any responsibility. A typical example is the disaster in Tempe, where all the scum – responsible for the tragedy – continue their lives as normal. The then Transport Minister Karamanlis and his appointed minions, with the help of judges and prosecutors, have been absolved of all responsibility. The ‘famous’ friends of the Mitsotakis government, the rapists and pedophiles, Lignadis, Filippidis etc., are partially acquitted or are given the benefit of the doubt, so that they can continue their perverted work by being acquitted. On the contrary, for all those who do not belong to their debased rotten circle, the application of their laws transcends all vindictiveness. Athens, Greece: Direct Action Cells Claim Responsibility for Arson Attack Against the Home of Judge Elias Kanellopoulos

Posted on 2023/11/21 by darknights

“We are guarded by thousands of fears: The fear of being buried alive in a prison, the fear of dying in action, the fear of being left alone without the cheers of the crowd or the fear of being isolated by our own comrades. Overcoming these fears would make us more lucid. Many struggles are built on these fears, they are products of these fears. Fear poisons us; compromise is its toxic fruit. Then, with eloquent words, comfortable theories, convenient long-term strategies, they make sure to embellish the whole humiliation by recommending wisdom and drawing us into political realism. Unfortunately, however, shit, no matter how pink you paint it, is still shit.” – Alfredo Cospito

The Direct Action Cells claim full responsibility for the arson attack on the home of judge Elias Kanellopoulos in the Cholargos area (a suburb in Athens). Our attack is an action of solidarity with the mobilizations of the prisoners in the prisons of the territory. It is also a continuation of the strategy of the personal targeting of those involved in the constant tightening of criminal repression and the repressive management applied in the field of prisons. From the architect of the new penal code, Lambros Margaritis, to the head of the Inspection and Control Body of the Prisons, Spyridoula Presvia, and now to Ilias Kanellopoulos, an appellant seconded to the Ministry of Justice, who was one of the close associates of the former Minister of Justice, Kostas Tsiaras, during whose days the new penal and penitentiary code was created and passed.

Our message is clear. The Direct Action Cells do not forget the people behind bars, the families who are suffering and tormented by the methods of the judges, the police and those prison officers who have the impression that they are untouchable. We do not forget the political prisoners who are paying the price for their choice of joining the revolutionary struggle. The explosions outside the homes of those who, in one way or another, choose to make the lives of prisoners a nightmarish reality, brings home, even if only on a symbolic level, the combative reality of the permanent anarchist threat.

As we previously stated, following the attack on the home of Lambros Margaritis:

“We are not finished with this particular issue. For us, any attack on the rights of prisoners that were won through painful struggles is taken very seriously, and in this regard we will try as hard as we can to keep it high on the priorities of the militant formations acting within the combative movement. We call on them to become a shield of protection for the rights of political prisoners in the prisons and to target those directly responsible for this anachronistic penal code that takes us back many decades.” Continue reading “Athens, Greece: Direct Action Cells Claim Responsibility for Arson Attack Against the Home of Judge Elias Kanellopoulos” →

Russia & Ukraine: Radical Resistance 15.02-26.02.2023

Posted on 2023/03/18 - 2023/03/18 by darknights

Voronezh

On 15.02. trains on the Lipetsk line “changed the schedule” at night. The reason – partisans destroyed signalling systems units.

Moscow region .

On February 16, 02 in Yuzhnoe Chertanovo several guerrillas smashed the windows of a Mercedes car with Z-symbols parked in the yard, cut the car up, presumably with an axe, and poured blue paint over the interior.

No one was detained as a result of the action.

Krymsk .

On February 16, the small town of the military airbase in Krymsk was without communication. Guerrillas destroyed the mobile and Internet communications station in the area. Expensive equipment was burned down.

Kaliningrad

On 18.02 eight young guerrillas, all between 15-17 years old, set fire to a relay cabinet, which resulted in a standstill on the railroad.

Unfortunately, all the participants were detained by the police. A criminal case has been opened for intentional destruction or damage to property. The authorities claim that the group was led by 15-year-old Ruslan and that the young guerrillas were acting “on orders from Ukraine”. Such statements by the authorities are made quite often, especially when it comes to very young or very old partisans or people belonging to the lower social strata. What is behind such claims in each particular case, and whether anything is worthwhile at all, we are likely to find out only when the Russian regime is destroyed.

Irkutsk Region

On 18.02 an unknown person tried to set fire to the administration building in Bokhan. Unfortunately, the administration building of the settlement did not burn down, as it was made of brick and lined with metal siding. The attempted arson was noticed by a security guard when he was watching the video surveillance cameras. He called the police, and forensics gathered the remaining evidence. Looking for the arsonist

Cherkessk

On 20.02, unknown offenders tracked down Arbitration Court judge Salpogarov and deputy head of the Treasury of the Russian Federation Elpakanov by car, attacked them with bats, threw them on the ground and beat them up. Elkanov was taken in a serious condition to the hospital. Salpagarov “received less serious injuries.”
The attackers are being sought and hopefully they will not be found.

Athens, Greece: Claim of responsibility for the incendiary attacks against the homes of high-profile judges – Direct Action Cells/Sacco and Vanzetti Cell

Posted on 2022/11/13 by darknights

The Greek justice system doesn’t have a problem, it is the problem itself

Direct Action Cells claim responsibility for the following incendiary attacks:

At the home of the judge Panagiota Yioupi, at dawn on Friday October 14, in the Glyfada area.

Youpi is one of the many servile puppets of the gang that operates under the name of Greek justice. She presided in the trial of the child rapist and member of the Mitsotakis family, Dimitris Lignadis, who was released from prison after being found guilty of raping underage children. She is a judge who is part of the influential entourage of the drug-dealing shipping tycoon Vangelis Marinakis, having issued a series of provocative rulings in favor of his interests during her term as a judge in Piraeus.

Yioupi is relentless when confronted with the poor, handing out years of sentences with the same ease she would hand out toys at a children’s party. But she has a peculiarity, she turns into a sensitive and soulful person when confronted by people from high society, with political connections, access and financial clout.

  • At the home of the judge Myrsini Papachiou, at dawn on Saturday, November 5, in the Zografou area.

Papachiou occupies the highest levels of the cesspool known as civil justice. The throne that she sits on as vice president of the Supreme Court is built from the pain of shattered human lives destroyed by prison.

Our decision to target her, apart from her institutional role, is related to the fact that she is currently involved in the Novartis scandal, being a member of the special court that is currently trying state prosecutors and government officials from the former SYRIZA government, as defendants for allegedly orchestrating a conspiracy in this particular case. She is also a court tribunal member for the upcoming trial of a former SYRIZA minister in a case regarding TV licenses. In fact, in order for Papahiou to be a member of these tribunals, she was hastily promoted to the rank of deputy-president a few days before the selection of tribunal members took place. Without any desire to get involved in the shifting alliances and infighting of this rotten political establishment, we recognize that this court is acting as a white-washing machine for sections of the political elite who are involved in the Novartis scandal. An international scandal that demonstrates with surgical precision how capitalism works. Multinationals, big pharma and politicians were complicit in the criminal regulation of drug prices in the health sector. They were complicit in the dismantling of public hospitals, in the operation of an organized international state-economic mafia that exploited in the worst possible way one of the most basic services, that of health. The government’s systematic attempt to present this scandal as a frame-up goes hand in hand with its refusal to demand compensation from the company. Our choice to strike at one of the puppets that are part of the government’s white-washing is intended to highlight all of the above.
