$hile: Words by Mónica Caballero in solidarity with Marcel Villarroel

Posted on 2023/09/21 - 2023/09/21 by darknights

For those of us who choose not to accept the discourse of the powerful, we know that the legal principles that underpin the legality of the State are not applied to everyone in the same way. Paper can hold a lot and can show us a vision far removed from reality.

The reality of power denies us that there are people punished for being openly hostile to its dominating forms, and that in pursuit of being the most implacable they violate their own laws. I do not pretend that the Powers That Be act correctly, but I will not lose the opportunity to evidence the use of their dirty tools against those who confront the oppressors.

As of today, Marcelo Villarroel is serving almost 29 years in prison in 3 periods and for years he has not been able to access prison benefits, all because of the sentences he has pending from the military prosecutor’s office. He still has 13 years to serve in prison before he can run for office.

The authorities deny the special treatment that Marcelo has, if he were treated as a common prisoner he would be on the street today.

Down with all the cages!

subversive and anarchist prisoners to the street!

Greece: Resistance Message of Imprisoned Member of Anarchist Action Organisation Th. Chatzianggelou for International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners

Posted on 2023/09/01 - 2023/09/01 by darknights

Thanos Chatziangelou ….and the ashes of the Bastille will spread to the furthest reaches of the earth

“See, how their indifference is killing us”

On a planet that increasingly resembles a slaughterhouse, there are people with steeled consciences, deeply buried in the concrete and iron of non-existence for their subversive intentions. People who have honoured their status, standing with respect and dedication in the passage of history. They confronted the lackeys of power face to face, not as spectators in the arena of the spectacle but as fighters. Sworn enemies of injustice and opponents of the status quo.

On a planet that increasingly looks like a prison, there are real prisoners with the flower of liberation rooted in their hearts. Prisoners of a silent unrelenting war against decadence and alienation that promises no security but thirsts for life. And every night they gaze at the stars as the walls of confinement rise. And each dawn grows taller with will and perseverance. Until the last dawn comes…

On a planet burning with rebellious hearts, there are still messages of resistance and optimism. Messages of complicity hidden under hoods, travelling to our ears through a machine gun click in the palaces of the uniformed memes in Chile, from a Molotov cocktail in the angry French suburbs, from a blast of anger and justice in the West Bank, from a sabotage against developmental frenzy in the Italian north, from the shattered windows of domestic consumerism.

Here where time has no power over our bodies and rage drowns you in a spit, the intensification of the international revolutionary struggle is our reminder of absolute freedom. It is our need and our desire. Whoever forgets the prisoners of the social and class war for an unrestrained world, forgets the war itself.

Unceasing solidarity with the unrepentant imprisoned revolutionaries who define life on the natural frontier of subversive law.

Strength and respect to the international revolutionary cells fighting in the present day justifying our captivity.

Chile: Mother’s words for comrade Zukato

Posted on 2023/08/07 by darknights

Dear Compañerxs:

To tell you that physically Zukato is stable, out of risk and advancing every day in his recovery. We are grateful for every show of solidarity during these days; from long accompaniments outside the hospital, the propaganda in the streets, in the territories and also in other brother towns. These actions and gestures undoubtedly transform rage and pain into hope.

The secondary struggle of our young people has been going on for decades, demanding dignified conditions to study where the repressive apparatus of the state has only criminalized them, instead of providing a solution and establishing minimum conditions. They have delivered letters, they have had meetings with the local power and nothing has been achieved, the small advances have been taken out in marches, hunger strikes and takeovers.

The costs have been extremely high for many of them. Today again they are calling to “resolve the petitions” because we all dream of a decent education, where high schools should be a protective factor and not a risk factor. They have also positioned themselves in a place against the system of misery and exploitation that we are inheriting from them, they have positioned themselves against repression, abuses, child abuse in sename centers, against prison and in favor of freedom.

They have much to teach us. While we, the working class, seem to put up with poor conditions willingly, the rich have never had to worry about their children not receiving a quality education, rather they are being trained to run the world they are left.

Sadly in this struggle today was my son Zukato. His speedy recovery, is impregnated with all the good vibes, prayers or thoughts that each of you sent him. We are not alone.

So let’s keep thinking, supporting his recovery from wherever and however we can.

Hold on Class solidarity!
Muchas gracias.

Chile: Words of solidarity for Zukato from comrade Koda from Santiago 1

Posted on 2023/08/07 by darknights

I want to send a fraternal embrace, love and all the strength for the family and comrade injured in the high school during a occupation, and that as a result of this the damn bourgeois press uses his image to make a moral feast against the social struggle against this repressive system and precarious, believing with all the right to spread an accident of an active and like-minded comrade.

Little brother Zukato I send you my maximum support, love and strength for this adversity, we know that this road will be full of adversities and that in spite of this we continue with our heads held high, that you are not alone comrade, here we are attentive to you and letting the morbid bourgeois and bastards know that you are not alone and that we will never leave any brother or sister alone.

Much strength brother!
Complicet and insurrectionary solidarity with our brother!

No one is alone. And knowing that our path leads us to an abyss, we continue to stand with our heads held high and always supporting each other.
Let’s not let go of the streets
Speedy recovery zukato!

When the state imprisons people, they disappear us. The whole process of becoming a prisoner is designed to strip the person of their personal autonomy. Individuality is something that must be removed and replaced with complete conformity, implemented through the oppressive control and restrictions of the prison environment. From the prison issue clothing, the degrading, routine searching of the person, to the uniform design of the cells, people are transformed by this state dominance into products to be handled within the warehouses that are prisons.

When the prisons disappear people, they segregate us. The restrictions and conditions are so much more severe than anywhere else within the Segregation Units of the High Security Prisons of the men’s prison estate. Deliberately so: intended to break the spirit of the men who, for various reasons, find ourselves detained within these punishment blocks.

These environments inflict solitary confinement upon their victims, often for an indefinite period of time. It can mean more than 22-hours a day locked in a cell in isolation and kept separated from all other prisoners during the brieftime allowed to shower and/or get locked in a cage outside like an animal for ‘exercise’ – and, in my case, it has continued for 13-years so far. Remember how it felt to have to stay at home during the Covid lockdown? Imagine how many more restrictions you could have survived, yet we must endure within segregation daily.

It would not be permissible to keep an animal in places like these, and there would be total outrage if a woman were to suffer such mistreatment, but men are seen culturally as tougher and much more deserving of this brutal inhumanity. From personal experience, I can confirm this differentiation of the sexes that comes through the bad politics of the chauvinistic and anti feminist approach – which portrays women as ‘damsels in distress’ in need of help, and men as warriors capable of toughness only seen in the ‘stronger sex’ – is absolute nonsense (and it is this concept that sets the foundation for the perpetuation of the culture of toxic masculinity and misogyny that this country is drowning in). No human could possibly survive such inhumanity undamaged. Continue reading “UK: ‘Human Beings’ By Kevan Thakrar” →

$hile: Words for compañero Punki Mauri by Joaquín García Chancks, Marcelo Villarroel & Mónica Caballero

Words for compañero Punki Mauri by Joaquín García Chancks

From the other side of the walls, I extend an affectionate and anarchic embrace to all those who participate in this already historic activity.

It is incredible the passage of time, it would be terribly false of me to speak of a closeness to anarchist circles back in 2009, I think I felt part of an anarchist collectivity, if you can call it that, shortly after, enough for the loss of a comrade to still be felt so close to the surface.

Mauricio Morales transcends, he is an inevitable reference for many -no matter how hard one fights to destroy that idealized and stereotyped image that this same anarchic “we” has been in charge of propagating through time- that is the truth, one cannot think of May without considering this date, one cannot whisper attack without thinking of Mauricio, one cannot conspire to attack without the palpable experience that sometimes things do not work out well; It is what endows history with reality, what makes us shake off all the theory and put our feet on the ground, the seriousness of what confrontation means, the knowledge that what may be so costly for us will not be so costly for Power…. To assume that no action will bring us an anarchic tomorrow, that the becoming is lived day by day, and that the only way to obtain a little bit of freedom is to embrace antagonism as a present, of theory and praxis, word and action, morality and attack. If we are to find something clear, almost undeniable in Mauricio, let it be this symbiosis.

Words by Marcelo Villarroel in subversive memory of Mauricio Morales

“I will seek at the risk of my life the best, the authentic freedom…”

Mauricio Morales.-

– From prison and 14 years after the death in action of comrade Mauricio Morales, a greeting of insurrectional memory and an eternal war cry for all those who walk the same path of struggle.

On the night of May 22, 2009, a powerful explosion shook the surroundings of the Gendarmerie School, a prison repressors’ factory, in the Matta neighborhood, in the south-central area of Santiago de Chile.

The explosion mortally wounded the Punky Mauri, who was on his way by bicycle to attack with an artifact, the main redoubt for the formation of penitentiary officers, seeking to strike with anarchic vengeance the place from where the most detestable beings that prison society can produce are mass-produced. U$A: Eric King Statement for June 11, 2023 EN/ES

Posted on 2023/06/04 by darknights

Greetings comrades. Let me tell you about this prison, the federal supermax ADX [in Florence, Colorado]. In this joint there are different levels and units with varying levels of physical isolation and communication, but there are things we all experience. Everyone is locked down at least 21 hours a day, at max 24. When you have inside rec you are by yourself in a room without a pull up bar. Outside rec cages are 8 x 10 foot dog kennels surrounded by concrete walls and a chain link roof — a cage within a cage. Unless you are in the pre-release unit (K-A) or long-term elder unit (K-B), you will never be in the same room as another person. And even in those units you only come around your ‘group’ — which is one to four other people — for inside rec. The other 22 ½ hours are in your cell by yourself. I have been in C-unit, the discipline unit and K-A; there is one other person in my group.

The cells are sparse. Concrete walls and double doors make any communication between convicts very difficult. Cells feature a low concrete beed, an oddly shitty mattress, a concrete desk, concrete stool, and in some units, a shelf above the desk. You never have solo interactions with staff — you are always double-manned with one of them carrying a steel baton, and you’re always cuffed behind your back. Depending on the unit, you can get 4–10 calls per month. I’ve made two ‘live-monitored’ calls in the past 10 months, but I’m being told that by participating in psychology programs I’ll earn a few calls per month. Time will tell. We’re allowed five visits per month, all non-contact in a concrete booth over the phone. All visits have to be scheduled in advance, which can be difficult with such restricted communication. I’m the only Anarchist here, but I’m definitely not the only political prisoner. Within this prison there is a group of prisoners the US government has attempted to bury. The general abolitionist community has consented to this, and it’s devastating.

The most restrictive unit in the most restrictive prison in America is H-Unit, which is for people on SAMS (Special Administrative Measures). These restrictions are placed by the Attorney General, and they are sickening. SAMS vary per captive, but all entail only being allowed to write to direct blood family and your lawyer. The FBI must read and approve all letters, magazines, and books. Calls are severely limited, live-monitored by the FBI, and reviewed by magistrate judges. These convicts get three showers per week. The vast majority of people on SAMS are Muslim and foreign born. Because their families are in Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan, or in Africa, it is nearly impossible to get visits, calls, or mail. These people will never see their families or home countries again. Their children will get married, have kids, grow old, and they will never know it. If that doesn’t make you sick, I don’t even know what we’re doing here. Continue reading “U$A: Eric King Statement for June 11, 2023 EN/ES” →

Émile Henry (Sept. 26, 1872 – May 21, 1894)

Posted on 2023/05/24 - 2023/05/24 by darknights

Source: La Nemesi

Émile Henry (Sept. 26, 1872 – May 21, 1894)

“Comrades, courage. Long live anarchy!” On May 21, 1894, the anarchist Émile Henry was guillotined. A few words for a comrade who dedicated his short and intense life, integrally and to the end, to anarchy. So many years have passed – well over a century of actions, dreams, revolutions – and the revolutionary will of this comrade continues to shine with the infinite wonderful facets of our ideal. Émile is immortal.

Aphorisms

Once, the cloister opened for souls weary or disgusted with the spectacles of the world, today we have no other refuge than in hospitals and prisons.

What do anarchists want? The autonomy of the individual, the development of his free initiative, which alone will be able to assure him all possible happiness. If the anarchist admits communism as a social conception, it is by simple deduction, because he understands that it is only in the happiness of all, free and autonomous as he is, that he will find his own happiness.

When a man, in today’s society, becomes a conscious rebel of his own action-and such was Ravachol-it is because he has done in his brain a painful work of analysis whose conclusions are imperative and cannot be evaded except by cowardice. He alone holds the scales, he alone is judge of the right or wrong of hating and being savage, “even fierce.”

I believe that acts of brutal revolt are right, because they wake up the masses, shake them like a violent lash, and show them the vulnerable side of the Bourgeoisie still all trembling at the moment when the Rebel goes up to the gallows.

Everyone has a special physiognomy and attitudes that differentiate him from his fellow fighters. Thus, we are not surprised to see revolutionaries so divided in the direction of their efforts. We wonder what good tactics are: they are everywhere proportional to the amount of energy brought to the action. But we recognize no one’s right to say, “Only our propaganda is the good one; outside of it there is no salvation.” It is an old residue of authoritarianism born of true or false reason that libertarians must not tolerate.

Do what you think is best and do it with love.

To those who say, “Hate does not breed love,” answer that it is love, alive, that often breeds hate.

Hate that rests not on low envy, but on a generous feeling, is a healthy and powerfully vital passion.

The more we love our dream of freedom, strength and beauty, the more we must hate that which opposes its future.

In the history of human progress there is only one party; it is the party of movement.

Socialists do not want to understand that the freedom of the individual is necessary to the true freedom of the people.

In the dedication of his book, From the Other Side, Alexandre Herzen specifies a truly revolutionary and effective attitude when he says, “We do not build, we demolish; we do not announce new revelations at all, we suppress the old lie.” This book by Herzen is full of flashes and revelations, but there is no lack of biting remarks in it either: it is a good book for the prison; and away from the street I like to take it as an echo: “The French cannot rid themselves of the idea of monarchical organization; they have a passion for police and authority; every Frenchman is in his soul a police commissioner; he loves alignment and discipline; everything that is independent, individual, irritates him; he understands equality only as leveling and willingly submits to the arbitrariness of the police as long as everyone submits to it. Put a chevron on a Frenchman’s hat and he becomes an oppressor, he begins to oppress anyone who does not wear that rank; he demands respect towards authority.”

There is one right that overrides all others; it is the right to insurrection. Continue reading “Émile Henry (Sept. 26, 1872 – May 21, 1894)” →

Chile: Words by comrade Ambro for the anti-prison day held on May 6 in Villa Portales

Posted on 2023/05/24 - 2023/05/24 by darknights

Greetings to all those present, I would like to begin by thanking you for your attendance to the activity, and also to thank all those who made and make this event possible, once again demonstrating their faithful support and loyal commitment.

Support networks and gestures of solidarity are necessary and indispensable in the frontal attack against all that is established and authority.

My arrest occurs in the context of a new commemoration of the day of the young combatant, a new 29th where the night becomes an accomplice of the insurgent youth that armed with courage they confront the enemy face to face, seeking to keep intact the rebellious and combative memory through anonymous action, and it is precisely in this action where the statements, theories and convictions make sense, that is why I believe it is essential to keep alive this black memory and make it a permanent exercise.

It is in this context that every bullet, bomb or attack carries with it the hatred and rage accumulated over centuries of slavery and inequality, which cry out for vengeance.

I knew very well that anyone who rebels against the tyrant, who tries to alter the established order and who decides to take the path of direct confrontation is always very close to imprisonment or death. That is why when I was kidnapped by the sikarios of power, I immediately accepted my destiny and decided to go ahead without hesitation or regrets, in fact the decision was already taken since I assumed an anarchic and irreducible position. When I threw myself into freedom.

However, that does not mean that the reality shock was not hard, life inside the prisons was still something unknown and from the first moment it shows its teeth and claws. Continue reading “Chile: Words by comrade Ambro for the anti-prison day held on May 6 in Villa Portales” →

Chile: Words of Tomas and Mawvnkho before a new March 29th, day of the combatant youth

Posted on 2023/04/01 by darknights

Today again we hope you can feel the warmth of our words. We thank you for inviting us to share our feelings and reflections. Autumn has arrived and with it comes that mixture of nostalgia, rage, regret… among other emotions that well up in every young combatant and that day by day leads us to embrace our ideas and act coherently with them. If we are gathered here today, we agree that we must continue to nurture this historical and combative memory that we share among different warriors antagonistic to the system. Generations of fighters have made the streets and towns barricades of confrontation against the police, remembering Eduardo, Rafael, Paulina, Norma, Pablo, Araceli… And all those young fighters who committed their lives to fight against the dictatorship. More than 30 years have passed since their bodies perished but not their convictions, their ideas, their love for freedom. All these young people seeded rebellion and today we continue to learn from their successes and mistakes, every autumn we meet again, to observe ourselves, to contrast our realities, to analyze the disastrous context in which we live and although our present is very bitter we continue to resist. From different trenches our spirit continues committed to this struggle, for decades this flame has not been extinguished and every time a young rebel throws himself with his actions into the infinite abyss of the anarchic, subversive, nihil or insurrectional struggle it means that we correspond to those warriors who left us.

We cannot fail to remember through these words our everlasting compañera Luisa. Within these walls we always strengthen our fortitude with numerous memories and/or scenarios that our comrades live or have faced. Luisa is that weychafe woman who inspired and incited many young rebels to continue fighting, she moved us with her words as well as many times she was there with us in the midst of burning tires. In here our thoughts live a chaotic back and forth, but what has made us unbreakable has been the seed that people like Luisa have left us. Only in us is the way to not undermine, we decay, but we must continue standing. The seeds that Luisa left us are an inexhaustible source, as well as those left to us by her family who have never given up their struggle. Today we are transforming the prison into our barricade. The confrontation here is constant, not only with the prisoners, because sometimes the worst policemen are those who wear the cap in their hearts. Luisa urged us to learn from each of our experiences, to not leave or abandon each other, to leave superficial differences aside, because a huge machine is trying to crush us. In prison everything that we detest and repudiate is gathered and intertwined. In spite of everything we continue to use every tool at our disposal, attentive to every breaking point to slip away and break the isolation and silence. Every morning we remind ourselves of who we are, we will not let confinement rot our roots and rob us of our essence. We remember all our fallen comrades with love and rage. Permanently their spirit emerges wildly against every wretched institution, against every wretched authoritarian. None of you is forgotten, neither those who left us nor those who today are held captive in prisons around the globe. We embrace each one of you, as well as each family who lost their child in combat, each one of them lives in our restless minds and hands. Neither jail nor death will stop the permanent confrontation. In memory of all the fallen and their families.

With love, Tomas and Mawvnkho.
