Greece: Responsibility Claim for the Attack on the Offices of the Israeli Shipping Company ZIM by ‘October 7 Group’
“And now their are masses of people who are rising and breaking their shackles and chains. Eternal memory to you, oh brother, in the honorable struggle you have fallen.”
Armed with these verses, which come from our own 1940-49 era here in Greece and guided by the unity of the revolutionary achievements that are currently taking place in Palestine, we carried out an arson attack* on the offices of the Israeli shipping company ZIM at dawn on Wednesday 17/01.
The Israeli company ZIM, since its establishment in 1945, has been actively involved in supplying the murderous Israeli army with military equipment for the Palestinian front. A process which continues even today, unhindered and frequently from the port of Piraeus. ZIM is one of the heavyweights of Zionist capital as it ranks among the ten most powerful shipping companies in Israel. Also, its targeting by the revolutionary Houthi guerrilla movement of the Yemeni people has exposed its active role in the genocide of the Gaza Strip.
A little over a hundred days. Days that are obscured by the sounds of artillery and buildings being demolished in an instant. Nights haunted by the explosions of aerial bombardment. Periods of time where minute by minute, street by street, house by house another magnificent chapter of the Palestinian resistance is written. Another magnificent chapter in the history of the Peoples’ Resistance against their occupiers, against their timeless oppressors.
On October 7, 2023, the combined action of the armed resistance organizations of the struggling Palestinian people achieved an unthinkable blow against one of the most powerful militaries in the world, the Israeli occupation forces. An occupation that has already counted seventy-five years of violence, persecution, arrests and imprisonment without trials, torture, executions, killings, murders of civilians and the continuous expansion of Israel into Palestinian territory in violation of all treaties. Aggressive expansion, with constant escalations, which has led millions of Palestinians to be uprooted or to live crammed into strips and patches of land under inhumane, suffocating conditions of military enforcement, surveillance, control, deprivation of basic human rights, basic goods and health care, on a thin line between life and death.
In this suffocating context, the Palestinian people manage to organize themselves, overcoming immense difficulties and attacking the occupier who tries to break their resistance. The Palestinian Resistance organizations continue operations and achieve daily blows against the Zionist occupation forces. Even at this very moment, when the Israeli army has penetrated deep into the Gaza Strip, as it is attacking the West Bank and striking mercilessly and indiscriminately, slaughtering tens of thousands of Palestinians. For all its overwhelming show of force, the Zionist state of Israel is failing to achieve its key objectives, with international and domestic pressure to end the war and find a diplomatic solution mounting and political time running out for a viable way out for the far-right Netanyahu government. Berlin, Germany: Against environmental destruction, oppression and war – fire for CEMEX concrete plant
Inspired by a series of actions and sabotages against “the world of concrete” in France (2), Belgium and Switzerland, we visited the CEMEX concrete plant on Schleusenufer in Berlin-Kreuzberg in the early hours of December 27 and used fire to stop several concrete mixer trucks and bring the conveyor belt and a technical building to a standstill.
A master among the climate killers
The wasteland of concrete and asphalt continues to spread. In Germany alone, up to 30 hectares of living soil are buried under the most sought-after building material every day. Roads, squares, commercial areas, industrial plants and houses; huge parts of the earth’s surface are already sealed and infrastructure projects such as dams, freeways, bridges, airports etc. consume several billion tons of concrete every year.
All this is not without consequences. Concrete is considered the climate killer par excellence. Almost 10 percent of the carbon dioxide that this system currently blows into the air comes from the cement industry. That is almost three times as much as air traffic. At the same time, concrete production consumes enormous amounts of resources. Sand in particular, which is essential for production, is already in short supply, which is why coastal areas and sometimes entire islands are being dredged worldwide. With devastating effects on the surrounding ecosystems. The increasing sealing of soils also has catastrophic consequences. Urban areas are heating up more and more, while rainwater can no longer seep into the ground. Groundwater reservoirs are not filling up as before, which will lead to water shortages in many places in the long term or has already done so. Drought and aridity are the result of this on the one hand, while flooding and erosion are occurring elsewhere due to increasingly frequent heavy rainfall. More than that, every additional meter of concrete destroys habitats and food sources. The loss of natural ground areas and the lack of vegetation lead to a decline in biodiversity, which has an impact on many animal and plant populations and will result in the extinction of individual species. Statement from Fauda (anarchist group in Palestine)
An important and decisive war has begun in Occupied Palestine. We spent the eighteenth day of the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation while more than 4,900 Palestinians have been martyred in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and more than 15,000 people injured. Since the beginning of this war, the Fauda movement has used all its field and media resources to confront the fascist Zionists. Our young people in the West Bank, every day and night, are struggling and fighting the Israeli army and the security forces of the treacherous Palestinian Authority (PA) complementing the Zionist project in the West Bank.
We declare to every Zionist who has been occupying our land that we will resist until the last moment of our lives. And even if this war ends, we will be like active bombs which move in your settlements and rob you of your normal daily life. You will never be at peace in our land. We will not leave you alone as long as you occupy our land. Get out of it and get on with your lives. We request all free people in the world to burn the Israeli flag and march towards Israeli embassies in all countries. Do your duty and be the voice of the Palestinians and the voice of all the innocent children and women who are being killed under the barbaric and brutal bombing of the Zionists. We tell all our enemies in the Zionist apartheid regime that we have a lot of surprises for you. And know that we will be on the lookout for you from the north to the south of Palestine, whether inside the occupied territory in the West Bank or even in the Gaza Strip.
We are anarchists. We are legends. We don’t forget. We don’t forgive. Expect us.

Berlin, Germany: Some thoughts on the breaking out of the largest prison in the world by Rigaer94 EN/DE/ES
Since a couple of weeks, we have heard from many about the necessity of expressing themselves regarding what is “happening now in Gaza”. Arguments that seem to almost suggest that a new war has started are common even in radical or anarchist circles. Since the break out from Gaza took place, the Palestinian struggle for liberation has been suffering in Germany from being reduced to Hamas’ actions. The German State, political parties, and even sometimes our comrades, are very concerned about how far or close one can be towards Hamas’ ideas. But very little about the historical roots of an asymmetric war that has lasted more than 70 years is brought into discussion by these positions. An ongoing massacre of Palestinian people has been happening since the days of British colonialism, assisted by the establishment of an apartheid regime in an artificially created settler society.
Today, the need to condemn constructed horror stories, even when they have been already denied in the hegemonic media, still prevails in Germany. Instead of listening to voices from Palestine or their exiled communities, there is little resilience to the orientalist discourse that the state and the media are pushing, constructing the image of “the Arab” as the ultimate evil. This dynamic has been present in all so called “Wars on Terror” since 9/11, but it originated long before. Individuals and collectives, who have never been sympathizers of Hamas, today find themselves backed up against a wall, expected to follow the directives of a white german movement. First they must publicly declare their distance from Islamist ideas before being given the space to speak about their own political ideas about liberation from the colonial and fascist oppression of Israel.
The level of violence displayed in Berlin in the last few weeks cannot be explained merely as a reaction to the break out of Gaza. Students can be slapped by a teacher in school, people are facing brutal police violence in the streets, and demonstrations are systematically banned. Although anti-Semitism finds its greatest expressions in this territory, and we see it as our responsibility to fight the multiple expressions of white christian supremacy – be it Aiwagner, AFD, Reichsbürger or others – the German state deflects attention from this by accusing others. The idea of imported anti-Semitism is and remains a way for Germany to find a new demon of history and to push anti-Semitism from itself to Palestine in a historically revisionist way. The results are evident today. With the usual racist agitation, by constructing the idea that Palestinians are anti-Semitic by nature, the German state is trying to divide our class along ethnic and religious lines, as a smokescreen for the division between us and the gun-grabbers who are currently earning a lot of money from Rheinmetall shares.
In order to silence any resistance to the complicity between the german state and the Israel military and its Zionist authorities, the well-known narrative of guilt is utilized, unfolding it like a transparent mantle over the people socialized in the territory controlled by the german state.
Only now, after over 100 years?!
The sea of contradictions in which war is immersed weighs heavily upon us. Since over 100 years, we see images of Palestinian people being murdered by colonial forces. Since over 100 years, we see images of Palestinian people being displaced from their own territories. Since the II Oslo Accord in 1995, we have witnessed how the narrative artillery of peacemaking attacks all forms of self-defense and self-determination, characterizing them as barbaric, zeal-driven, or uncivilized.
We are sick and tired of seeing tons of rubble in Gaza, after decades of bombardments by the Israeli forces. And it is with this feeling that we observe the fences of the biggest prison in the world being torn down. People in Gaza have been subjected to constant violence, violence which we cannot even imagine being inflicted upon our own bodies but have normalized for others. After all, normalizing the oppression of certain people is a necessity of the colonial capitalist world we still live in. This beast needs the colonized to remain silent, to passively obey. The german “left” also loves victims to “care for” to redeem their guilt.
What disturbs some people in Germany today, is not the violence in and of itself, and not all deaths are equally disturbing. We internalize the valuation of the deaths we can put faces to, while we do not care about the faceless ones. We accept the fact that some can mourn for their beloved ones, and bury them, and at the same time we simply accept the disappearance of thousands and thousands. What disturbs some people, mostly the ones in power, is the fact that those expected to remain passive are taking action on a path to liberation, and this is when the system finally shakes. Through their actions, people in Gaza are forcing us in central Europe, to stop navel-gazing and to take a position on their reality. Today, people who should be pursuing the Western developmental ideal, throw in our faces a reality that is at times difficult for us to understand. This gets us out of our heads, forcing us to leave the place of those who dictate discourse, who say what is of interest and what is not, and demands that we draw attention to a reality that we all profit from. Or do we still think that our well-being and economic stability in this country is independent of the slaughter of others in the Global South? ‘Staring down the barrel of an artificially intelligent gun’
The Palestinian’s lining up at the checkpoint near Hebron are being watched by the occupying army of the the IDF, but the child in the line looks up hesitantly at another eye, one that is not human, that of the camera, of the artificial intelligence powered gun that watches his every move.
If the repressive control of the wall that devides up the occupied Palestinian region is not enough, now they are watched over by automated weaponry supplied by Israel’s very own designer, developer, and manufacturer of AI weaponry Smart Shooter. The IDF claim that the gun only fires non-lethal projectiles such as tear gas or plastic bullets. We do not need to be reminded that the Israeli military’s word means nothing, the countless Palestinians that have died rising up against the occupying forces are testimony to what non-lethal means, just as any police force around the world, that are all resembling their own armed forces more and more.
The Smart Shooter gun relies upon facial and gesture recognition, that if it is deemed an agressive act or any act out of the ordinary is recorded, the automated weapon will fire on its own accord. This is the insanity of a techno-prison world we have arrived at now, where the prison that has been built around Palestine will now be guarded by all kinds of automation and robots. A kind of digital dehumanisation is occuring in the existence we occupy, where all actions, all decisions are being removed, even that of life and death.
The Israeli far-right state is no stranger to its use of technology to repress those who resist it. The Israeli security forces have used drones to drop tear gas on rioters and protesters several times on the border, even recently in the brutal repression on the Temple Mount. The same military tech company Smart Shooter have supplied them with an armed drone system to hit stationary and moving targets while flying, named SMASH Dragon. With “One Shot – One Hit” precision, the SMASH is also based on Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning technologies, SMASH is also designed to interconnect with other operational resources to form a micro-tactical network that delivers real-time situational awareness. It can incorporate various types of assault rifles, sniper rifles, 40mm, and other ammunition. According to reports, the concept has completed live-fire testing and is at an “advanced stage of development.” Continue reading “‘Staring down the barrel of an artificially intelligent gun’”
