Chile: Molotovs Against Police in Memory of Kyriakos X. and Kevin Garrido and in Solidarity with Marianna M.

Posted on 2024/11/27 by darknights

As part of the call for a Black November in memory of comrade Kevin Garrido, a group of young anarcho-nihilists set up barricades and clashed with police near a secondary school in Chile during the first weeks of November. At the scene they threw molotovs for black memory, in solidarity with the prisoners of social war, in solidarity with the comrades of “INBA”, who were hit by fire while making Molotov cocktails in the toilets of a secondary school in Santiago, Chile. Also, among the molotovs thrown there is a call for solidarity with comrade Marianna M. and in memory of comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris.

The propaganda read:

“MEMORY AND REVENGE FOR OUR DEAD!

Black November for Kevin Garrido

Down with the cages of civilized society

Free our imprisoned comrades in Chile and the world, Joaquín García, the prisoners of the July 6 case, Monica and Francisco, Aldo and Lukas, Ayekan and every prisoner of war, in the streets!

Solidarity with the comrades of INBA, action and mutual aid!

Solidarity and action with comrade Marianna M. who is hospitalized in Athens.

Kevin Garrido, Kyriakos Xymitiris and each of our dead present!”

(Information and photos were collected from social networks)

This is how he described himself:

“Free rave crew, Dub/Junglist hippie kid, been living with the middle-finger up to the state since the age of 6. Fight The System / Fuck Gun Control – FTS FGC. Started a 7 year sentence in 2016 for drugs, money laundering and constitutent parts of a Colt 1911a, got recalled for being inside an exculsion zone (my home town), got parole then 10 days later recalled for firearms and explosives, not charged then 2 days before release after serving 5 years of the 7 year sentence was charged and remanded, then given an extra 14 years 3 months after 9 month remand time deducted for a submachine gun, hand grenade and ammunition. This brings my total hostage time to over 15 years in decrepit hell-holes, the latter being a 2/3 sentence, even though no violence was committed.

Love and respect to all wishing for freedom and total destruction of the state.

SOLIDARITY FROM LONDON

On October 31, anarchist comrade Kyriakos X. is killed by a bomb explosion while handling it in an apartment in Athens. The explosion seriously injures anarchist comrade Marianna M., who, along with other anarchist comrades, faces prosecution under charges of forming and participating in a terrorist organization.

On November 18, comrade Nikos Romanos is also arrested in connection with the same events. Nikos Romanos held his friend and comrade Alexis Grigoropoulos in his arms as he took his final breath on December 6, 2008, assassinated by the bullet of a special state officer.

In the years that followed, the Greek anti-terrorist agency repeatedly targeted Nikos and other anarchists, imprisoning them with fabricated evidence in an effort to suppress the blooming anti-authoritarian social movements. Nikos Romanos spent years as a political prisoner, held hostage by the state, before being released in recent years.

To Produce or Not to Produce – Kevin Tucker

To Produce or Not to Produce
Class, Modernity and Identity

Class is a social relationship. Stripped to its base, it is about economics. It’s about being a producer, distributor or an owner of the means and fruits of production. No matter what category any person is, it’s about identity. Who do you identify with? Or better yet, what do you identify with? Every one of us can be put into any number of socio-economic categories. But that isn’t the question. Is your job your identity? Is your economical niche?

Let’s take a step back. What are economics? My dictionary defines it as: “the science of production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services.” Fair enough. Economies do exist. In any society where there is unequal access to the necessities of life, where people are dependent upon one another (and more importantly, institutions) there is economy. The goal of revolutionaries and reformists has almost always been about reorganizing the economy. Wealth must be redistributed. Capitalist, communist, socialist, syndicalist, what have you, it’s all about economics. Why? Because production has been naturalized, science can always distinguish economy, and work is just a necessary evil. It’s back to the fall from Eden where Adam was punished to till the soil for disobeying god. It’s the Protestant work ethic and warnings of the sin of ‘idle hands’. Work becomes the basis for humanity. That’s the inherent message of economics. Labor “is the prime basic condition for all human existence, and this to such an extent that, in a sense, we have to say that labor created man himself.” That’s not Adam Smith or God talking (at least this time), that’s Frederick Engels. But something’s very wrong here. What about the Others beyond the walls of Eden? What about the savages who farmers and conquistadors (for all they can be separated) could only see as lazy for not working?

Are economics universal? Let’s look back at our definition. The crux of economy is production. So if production is not universal, then economy cannot be. We’re in luck, it’s not. The savage Others beyond the walls of Eden, the walls of Babylon, and the gardens: nomadic gatherer/hunters, produced nothing. A hunter does not produce wild animals. A gatherer does not produce wild plants. They simply hunt and gather. Their existence is give and take, but this is ecology, not economy. Every one in a nomadic gatherer/hunter society is capable of getting what they need on their own. That they don’t is a matter of mutual aid and social cohesiveness, not force. If they don’t like their situation, they change it. They are capable of this and encouraged to do so. Their form of exchange is anti-economy: generalized reciprocity. This means simply that people give anything to anyone whenever. There are no records, no tabs, no tax and no running system of measurement or worth. Share with others and they share in return. These societies are intrinsically anti-production, anti-wealth, anti-power, anti-economics. They are simply egalitarian to the core: organic, primal anarchy.

But that doesn’t tell how we became economic people. How work became identity. Looking at the origins of civilization does. Civilization is based off production. The first instance of production is surplus production. Nomadic gatherer/hunters got what they needed when they needed it. They ate animals, insects, and plants. When a number of gatherer/hunters settled, they still hunted animals and gathered plants, but not to eat. At least not immediately.

In Mesopotamia, the cradle of our now global civilization, vast fields of wild grains could be harvested. Grain, unlike meat and most wild plants, can be stored without any intensive technology. It was put in huge granaries. But grain is harvested seasonally. As populations expand, they become dependent upon granaries rather than what is freely available. Enter distribution. The granaries were owned by elites or family elders who were in charge of rationing and distributing to the people who filled their lot. Dependency means compromise: that’s the central element of domestication. Grain must be stored. Granary owners store and ration the grain in exchange for increased social status. Social status means coercive power. This is how the State arose.

In other areas, such as what is now the northwest coast of the United States into Canada, store houses were filled with dried fish rather than grain. Kingdoms and intense chiefdoms were established. The subjects of the arising power were those who filled the storehouses. This should sound familiar. Expansive trade networks were formed and the domestication of plants and then animals followed the expansion of populations. The need for more grain turned gatherers into farmers. The farmers would need more land and wars were waged. Soldiers were conscripted. Slaves were captured. Nomadic gatherer/hunters and horticulturalists were pushed away and killed. Athens, Greece: Claim of responsibility for the incendiary attack on the NTUA rectorate

Posted on 2024/11/21 - 2024/11/21 by darknights

Power means total denial of freedom. Imposition is the quintessential means used by those who decide to dominate. So we are talking about a world that was built on this fundamental aesthetic choice. This choice of the ruling class calls upon its servants to implement it. The rectorship of NTUA (National Technical University of Athens) is yet another cog in the machine, one of the threads in the institutional fabric of the state, whose ideological role is sterilization, increased productivity, and the creation of an “excellent” specialized worker who only raises their head when it comes to a better career choice. In short, the ideological role of the university in the neoliberal urban state is to present “governance of science” as the only way societies have to organize themselves. The means by which the university fulfills this role is the monopoly on knowledge, or rather the cultivation of the illusion that it indeed monopolizes knowledge.

In reality, the excellence of NTUA lies in master’s programs in collaboration with TERNA, research on military drones, a close collaboration with police for evictions and arrests, targeting, prosecutions, and the imposition of fines on students. The latest chronological reference point, and after failing to achieve their goal with the successive eviction operations in 2023-24, is the issuance of an ultimatum for all occupied spaces on 31/10/2024. The state and social cannibals rush to stifle any attempt to build an alternative to the prevailing social decay by evicting spaces and intensifying repression, thinking they are terrorizing us. But we do not bow our heads, because we know we are right. The early manifestations of this counter-proposal are the squats, and as long as you do not let us build our own reality, we will destroy yours. After all, the goal is not to build on the existing foundations, but on their ruins. However, destruction does not come on its own.

Fire has always been a weapon of society. So we take responsibility for the incendiary attack on the administration building of NTUA in Zografou, on Friday 08/11/2014.

[URGENT] Athens, Greece: Anarchist Comrade Nikos Romanos arrested by anti-terrorist cops

Posted on 2024/11/18 - 2024/11/21 by darknights

Word comes to us from comrades in Greece that anarchist comrade Nikos Romanos has been arrested by anti-terrorist cops during an operation today in Athens and has been taken to the GADA (Athens Central Police Headquarters). All we know so far is that he has been arrested in connection with the same case involving the explosion at an apartment in the neighborhood of Ampelokipoi in Athens on 31st October.

Strength and complicity comrade, you will not be left alone!

Athens, Greece: [URGENT] Transfer of comrade Marianna to Korydallos – Call for gathering in Korydallos

Posted on 2024/11/15 - 2024/11/15 by darknights

The anarchist comrade Marianna, just one day after her second consecutive surgery and while remaining hospitalized as a multiple trauma patient for 15 days at Evangelismos Hospital, was transferred to Korydallos on Friday morning.

The pressures from the scum of the anti-terrorism unit, who operate in perfect collaboration with the investigator handling the case, resulted in the comrade being discharged and taken to the women’s prisons of Korydallos, where there isn’t even a hospital and thus no possibility to provide her with the appropriate care for her injuries.

We make it clear in all directions, whatever happens to our comrade, it will have consequences and will not go unanswered.

We call for a solidarity gathering for our imprisoned comrades Marianna M. D.Z. and D., on Monday, November 18 at 18:30, at Korydallos Prison, with a pre-gathering at the Korydallos Town Hall.

Incendiary attack against 23 Enjoy cars and an Eni Plenitude van (Assago, Italy, October 31, 2024)

During the night between Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st October in Assago, province of Milan, 23 electric cars of the Enjoy car-sharing and a van belonging to Eniplenitude, of the Eni group, were set on fire.
While the massacre in Gaza continues a year on, Eni continues to enrich itself doing big business with Israel as is shown by the acquisitions of off-shore natural gas deposits along the coasts of Gaza carried out by the Italian multinational immediately after October 7th 2023.

UK: Twenty three hens liberated in memory of Barry Horne

Posted on 2024/11/13 by darknights

4th November, UK.

received anonymously via email:

“23 years later and we are still thinking of Barry Horne. Those who take action for liberation are never forgotten.

Barry gave his all and fought like hell. If you don’t know about some of the things he was involved in; from fighting to save Rocky the dolphin, to raiding Interfauna, to smashing fancy wine bottles at a vivisectors conference and so much more! You need to go learn some history and get inspired.

We thought of you Barry as we broke our way into a ‘free range’ egg farm and the stench stung our eyes. We thought of all the fire inside you that fueled you to fight so hard for animal liberation, right till your last breath. May that fire burn as bright for all of us and spur us on till we win.

Fuck fur farms, fuck vivisection labs, fuck zoos, fuck oceanariums, fuck your ‘free range’ farms, fuck the hunts, fuck prisons, fuck all cages everywhere!

In his own words “If you don’t act then you condone. If you don’t fight then you don’t win. And if you don’t win then you are responsible for the death and suffering that will go on and on.””
