A Basket of Thoughts – Italian Anarchist Massimo Passamani Solidarity With Hunger Strike

Posted on 2025/11/17 - 2025/11/17 by darknights

In the twilight zone of sorts I find myself in- neither free nor fully imprisoned – I have decided to give up my daily work release from prison for the next week, as a gesture of solidarity with the Palestine Action comrades on hunger strike in British prisons, a strike my friend and brother Stecco has also joined. I know that my staying in prison instead of going to work will not bother the prison administration in the least. But my message is not addressed to prison management – whom I have nothing to say to and nothing to ask of but to those who are fighting against the genocide of the Palestinian people, alongside its indomitable resistance.

What I can offer, along with this small gesture, is a basket of thoughts, a handful of words with which to express what is in my heart.

The strength that comes to me from British prisons which, in turn, reflects the tenacity of that resistance which Zionist prisons and administrative detention centers are unable to bow, despite the isolation, the torture, and the rapes has not only the form of a commonality of ethics and ideals, but also the intensity of the emotions I feel in reading the hunger strike statements. $hile: After more than three months, the trial against brothers Lucas and Aldo Hernandez comes to an end

Posted on 2025/11/13 - 2025/11/13 by darknights

From: La Zarzamora

Via: Informativo Anarquista

On Monday, November 3rd, the trial against Aldo and Lucas Hernandez came to an end, with both being sentenced to 21 and 12 years in prison, respectively, after more than three months of hearings, in which the authorities attempted to use all their power to achieve an exemplary punishment for both brothers.

On July 21st of this year, amid protests and multiple solidarity actions, the lengthy trial against Aldo and Lucas Hernandez began at the Center for (In)Justice in Santiago. The prosecution, made up of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Chilean Gendarmerie, initially demanded intolerably excessive sentences, ranging from 20 years in prison for Lucas to 90 years in prison for Aldo Hernandez.

Subsequently, after the verdict was read on October 3, the prosecutors requested a sentence of 32 years and 1,100 days for Aldo and a sentence of 18 years and 800 days for Lucas, while Aldo’s defense requested a sentence of 26 years and Lucas’s defense requested a sentence of 12 years. Finally, on November 3, Aldo was sentenced to 21 years and Lucas to 12 years.

The sentences, set out in a document of more than 400 pages, referred to three incidents: 1) the attack on the General Directorate of the Gendarmerie in December 2021; 2) the raid on a residence in Loncura; and 3) the raid on a residence in La Victoria.

Aldo Hernandez was found guilty of the attack on the Gendarmerie Headquarters but acquitted of the crimes of minor injuries to prison guards and the crime of receiving stolen goods. He was also found guilty in relation to the items found in the raid on Loncura ( incident 2) but was acquitted of all the crimes he was charged with in relation to the raid on the home in La Victoria ( incident 3). Lucas, for his part, was convicted of most of the crimes related to the residence in the La Victoria neighborhood, but was acquitted of the crimes of manufacturing weapons and manufacturing explosive devices. Italy: Luca Dolce – Hunger strike in solidarity with UK prisoners and Palestinian resistance

Posted on 2025/11/12 by darknights

Yesterday, November 4th, I received news of the start of a hunger strike called by tens of political prisoners imprisoned in the United Kingdom for their struggles in solidarity with and for the liberation of Palestine.
In recent months, I read about comrade Teuta “T” Hoxha’s hunger strike, and was able to follow her story and that of comrades Casey Goonan and Malik Muhammad. I had time to ponder in case, as I expected, another chance presented itself to join a struggle which I feel an affinity for, which I feel deeply is my own.
The struggle against prison and the military techno-industrial system is essential for a struggle of broader scope, of revolutionary and internationalist resistance.
I am joining in the hunger strike, starting on November 8th, and will carry it out with an eye to the tactics and approach proposed by the comrades who initiated it. If it continues indefinitely, I will go on while paying attention to my body’s limits, deciding for myself whether and when to stop and continue the protest by other means.
I will take the time I need to share further thoughts as the protest continues. The reasons for this struggle, the actions for which these comrades are now imprisoned, speak for themselves.
I stand by their side with serenity and resolve.
Currently, I do not know whether the Palestinian comrade Anan Yaeesh, imprisoned in Melfi, is still on hunger strike. Regardless, my solidarity with him, Ali, and Mansour is vivid and strong.
With humility and respect, I close these lines by quoting the Kurdish comrade Sakîne Cansiz:
“On the other hand, facing the enemy on your own is also a special thing. Revolutionary will gathers in you. You can feel within yourself conviction, determination, the pure desire to fight. It is the most beautiful part of revolutionary struggle. Nothing distracts you, and you demolish the enemy with the strength of your personality. It is something to do with you, but also with the enemy’s image reflected in you. In your defense, it recognizes its impotence.”

Urgent warning from ABC Indonesia / Palang Hitam

Posted on 2025/11/09 - 2025/11/17 by darknights

ABC Indonesia / Palang Hitam issues a warning there’s a fake fundraising campaign on gogetfunding.com for Indonesian anarchist prisoners under the name Palang Hitam. ABC/PH want to make it clear that, as of now, all new emails/blogs/accounts related to Palang Hitam are fake, except for the old ones. Here’s the old/real contact info for Palang Hitam [Warning these accounts should be considered seized by cops – New account infos will be updated here on Dark Nights or by International ABCs]:

Email: palanghitam@riseup.net

Instagram: @palang__hitam

Blog sites: palanghitamanarkis.noblogs.org

The anarchist prisoners are still in isolation, so it’s super hard to get in touch with them, especially Eat since he’s being accused of leading the “Chaos Star” group. So, ABC/PH is asking you all to cancel any donations made to that fake Palang Hitam fundraiser.

After the police arrested all the anarchist comrades and published the propaganda about the groups getting foreign funds, then there are opportunists who see a way to scam the money and disrupt the solidarity.

Fake Examples (Scammers): Instagram account: @palanghitam_id

Fake Examples (Scammers): gogetfunding.com/urgent-needs-of-indonesia-anarchists

The ABC/PH solidarity donation fund account will be given to those who request it via Dark Nights, or long-standing Anarchist Black Cross groups, who have the ABC/PH fund account already.

Palang Hitam / ABC

Thank you. Long live anarchy! Long live solidarity!

Indonesia: Update Situation of Bima Satria Putra (Pustaka Catut) and a Call for Solidarity!

Posted on 2025/11/01 - 2025/11/05 by darknights

This corrects an earlier info that Bima was transferred to Bandung West Java paramilitary police compound. It seems Bima was only placed in solitary confinement and his comrades couldn’t reach him. LBH Bandung received incorrect info about the supposed prison transfer. Bima’s comrades managed to communicate with him and confirm where he is:

Our friend, Bima Satria Putra, who has been held in prison alongside his friend since early December 2021 for their 15-year sentences due to weed possession, is currently being subjected to solitary confinement.

On October 18th, 2025, between the afternoon and evening, Bima was taken out of his cell by the officers in Merah Mata Prison, Palembang, Indonesia, where he’s been serving his sentence.

At the time of writing (October 30th, 2025, 10AM GMT+7), we are yet unable to ascertain what caused Bima to be taken from his cell, where/what else he has been taken or subjected to, and by whose orders. Moreover, the legal counsel appointed to assist Bima is being obstructed from access by the prison administration, and has been unable to reach Bima thus far. Mexico: Urgent – Imprisoned Anarchist Comrade Jorge Esquivel’s Life Is At Risk

Posted on 2025/10/30 by darknights

From Cruz Negra Anarquista – Mexico City:

In recent weeks, Jorge Esquivel’s health has deteriorated due to a lack of adequate medical care. He has requested medical attention within the Reclusorio Sur prison, but it has not been provided properly or promptly. This has led to weight loss and intense abdominal pain, significantly reducing his mobility.

Jorge has a history of serious gastrointestinal problems and even underwent surgery to remove part of his intestine before being imprisoned again by the state. His recovery process was interrupted by his arrest in December 2022. Since then, he has not received any treatment to improve his health.

Let solidarity be expressed to demand medical attention and proper treatment!

Solidarity and strength to Jorge Esquivel!

Eat’s Case Partially Submitted in Court – The Comrade was Tortured (Indonesia)

Posted on 2025/10/28 by darknights

The West Java paramilitary police have submitted the first part of accused anarchist comrade Eat’s case to the court. The details are not reported yet but it is known that the comrade is being made into a ‘leadership’ scapegoat for the fabricated “Chaos Star” frame-up and he is also accused of ‘leadership’ of the mass insurrection which happened in August 2025. Parts of the legal case are still being held back because the Special Detachment for Anti-Terrorism (Densus 88) is handling the “Chaos Star” case, especially concerning Eat. There’s an effort to charge Eat under the terrorism law. This is also why the investigation period against Eat was extended until November 20th 2025. The Prabowo Subianto regime has reopened the old documents about the FAI-IRF attack in Yogyakarta in 2011. What is certain is that Eat was tortured, like the other detained comrades. We have not enough information to confirm the severity of his injuries. What we can confirm, is that despite being tortured Eat did not give anyone’s name. Eat is already paralysed in one arm and also suffering from serious health condition. The paramilitary police and Densus anti-terrorist unit are cowards who beat and torture young people in handcuffs. All over the world we are rising up against police bastards, politicians, jailers, banks and corporations!

We demand the freedom of Eat and all the other detainees!

Torturer’s hands off the detainees!

Fire to the prisons!

Imminent Mass Hunger Strike Across UK Prisons

Posted on 2025/10/28 - 2025/10/28 by darknights

Solidarity to the prisoners and hungerstrikers of the Palestinian liberation struggle. Freedom for all the incarcerated. Destroy all prisons, jailers and police forever. DN.

Dozens of political prisoners in the so-called United Kingdom who have endured months of targeted abuse behind bars due to their support for Palestinian liberation are announcing their intention to launch a hunger strike.
Prisoners for Palestine representative Audrey Corno (who I interviewed last month) says it would mark the largest coordinated prisoners’ hunger strike in the UK since the Irish Republican Army/Irish National Liberation Army hunger strike in the occupied North of Ireland in 1981, when ten prisoners of war were martyred.

On 20 October, Audrey and Francesca Nadin, both of whom have spent time behind bars for direct actions against zionist weapons companies, delivered a letter to the UK Home Secretary “on behalf of the 33 people unjustly locked up as a result of taking action to stop the genocide in Palestine.”

They have five demands: an end to all censorship of their mail and communications; immediate and unconditional release on bail; the right to a fair trial; the removal of Pal Action from the proscribed “terrorist” list; and the closure of all Elbit Systems facilities in the UK.

The prisoners, who include members of the Filton 24 and the Brize Norton 5, have been detained without charge in multiple UK jails under the “Terrorism Act,” in some cases for over a year. Thus far, appeals for the prisoners to be released on bail have been unsuccessful.

Italy: Anna Beniamino – Contribution from Rebibbia prison ahead of the national assembly on October 11 in Rome, in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito, against 41 bis

Posted on 2025/10/26 by darknights

Anna’s scattered notes as a contribution to the October 11 assembly in Rome against 41bis for Alfredo

There is no shortage of analysis of the authoritarian turn currently underway, a real turn, albeit perceived in these parts as a low-intensity phenomenon, amid the cynicism of the powerful and the indifference of their subjects, sedated by the bread and circuses of the digital age.
The ‘Cospito case’ has been and continues to be one aspect of this shift: Alfredo has been held hostage, under 41bis, as a warning of this repressive crackdown, but it is not an extreme case, a distortion of the system. Rather, it is a tangible sign of the lowering of the threshold of punishability for political and social opposition and the consolidation of preventive repression strategies, from the tabula rasa on active components to the outright annihilation of speech and the silencing of critical thought.
Analyses of the repressive context and of whether or not to focus on the discourse (41bis – Alfredo in 41bis – anti-anarchist repression – repression simply) are not uniform, I believe, but hopefully converge on the need to oppose it, a need that is non-negotiable and cannot be misunderstood as a mere remnant of indignation at a legal distortion.
“Necessity” in the sense that we must maintain awareness, as a manifestation of vitality and planning, that the struggle is an existential dimension, not a ritual deadline on micro or macro issues. Whether it concerns specific and limited issues, such as a campaign to show solidarity with a single comrade or a situation under repressive attack, or macro issues such as the current state of widespread war, the genocide of a people, or the technological restructuring of forms of exploitation of man by man and of nature, we must first of all be aware that this is not a matter of external, superficial adherence, but of an intimate reason for struggle.

Having made this “light” introduction…
Although the authoritarian shift in Italy is being led by a handful of showmen controlled by the interests of global capitalism, such as the current holders of government positions, it is a fact that they are succeeding in carrying out a concerted effort to reduce the scope for protest, tightening prison and legislative conditions in the name of security and the specter of the democratic stability of institutions. Of course, this is not only the result of the new actors on the parliamentary stage; it was already well underway in the 1980s, with repressive strategies launched against the revolutionary component, from which much has been taken in rhetorical and propagandistic form, more indigestible than any reheated dish (if before the “bad teachers” were Toni Negri, now they are mathematicians such as, mind you, not Theodore Kaczynski but… Piergiorgio Odifreddi, to give a small example from recent days). And those who are not obtusely sedated by the institutional narrative, on either side, should grasp the meaning of certain continuities, where the only function is subservience to domination, to capital.
It is no coincidence that, amid this deluge of propaganda and television talk show rhetoric, the battle cries of any regime remain unchanged: in addition to the criminalization of public squares, anarchist press, grassroots trade unionists… even pacifist environmentalists, there is an obsessive search for enemies, political opponents, and terrorists to be destroyed.
If there is a lack of ready-to-use material, given that we live in relatively peaceful times in terms of social opposition, in addition to new or very new material (complete with the criminalization of non-conformist immigrants and keyboard warriors turned into dangerous Islamists), old or very old material is dusted off or kept warm, sought after by entire countries and continents or walled up alive for half a century. Counterbalancing the inconsistency of the initiatives of struggle and solidarity is the constancy and inevitability of the state moloch. It is quite significant that the long repressive memory is counterbalanced by a revolutionary amnesia (to use the definition of some comrades in reference to the German movement grappling with a repressive backlash that culminated in the arrest of Daniela Klette) of everything that has been a heritage of struggle and critical thinking.
Amnesia is not random but is one of the effects of a strategy of tabula rasa on the defeated enemy. “Carthago delenda est” [DN: ‘Carthage must be destroyed’ meaning ‘It must be destroyed’] and let’s throw salt on its ruins. Today’s tyrants prefer luxury resorts built on human bone meal and artificial intelligence that trains young Palestinians to be happy waiters or odalisques [DN: harem slave], but it is a model applied at both the micro and macroscopic levels. It is precisely this feeling of tabula rasa that leads to having to rebuild from scratch every time and in every place, struggling in increasingly restricted and claustrophobic communication bubbles, illusory comfort zones among like-minded people who comment and criticize the moves of others like spectators at the edge of the ring… rather than feeling part of a movement in struggle.
