‘Staring down the barrel of an artificially intelligent gun’

The Palestinian’s lining up at the checkpoint near Hebron are being watched by the occupying army of the the IDF, but the child in the line looks up hesitantly at another eye, one that is not human, that of the camera, of the artificial intelligence powered gun that watches his every move.

If the repressive control of the wall that devides up the occupied Palestinian region is not enough, now they are watched over by automated weaponry supplied by Israel’s very own designer, developer, and manufacturer of AI weaponry Smart Shooter. The IDF claim that the gun only fires non-lethal projectiles such as tear gas or plastic bullets. We do not need to be reminded that the Israeli military’s word means nothing, the countless Palestinians that have died rising up against the occupying forces are testimony to what non-lethal means, just as any police force around the world, that are all resembling their own armed forces more and more.

The Smart Shooter gun relies upon facial and gesture recognition, that if it is deemed an agressive act or any act out of the ordinary is recorded, the automated weapon will fire on its own accord. This is the insanity of a techno-prison world we have arrived at now, where the prison that has been built around Palestine will now be guarded by all kinds of automation and robots. A kind of digital dehumanisation is occuring in the existence we occupy, where all actions, all decisions are being removed, even that of life and death.

The Israeli far-right state is no stranger to its use of technology to repress those who resist it. The Israeli security forces have used drones to drop tear gas on rioters and protesters several times on the border, even recently in the brutal repression on the Temple Mount. The same military tech company Smart Shooter have supplied them with an armed drone system to hit stationary and moving targets while flying, named SMASH Dragon. With “One Shot – One Hit” precision, the SMASH is also based on Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning technologies, SMASH is also designed to interconnect with other operational resources to form a micro-tactical network that delivers real-time situational awareness. It can incorporate various types of assault rifles, sniper rifles, 40mm, and other ammunition. The Great Reset Phase 2: War

Welcome to the second phase of the Great Reset: war.

While the pandemic acclimatised the world to lockdowns, normalised the acceptance of experimental medications, precipitated the greatest transfer of wealth to corporations by decimating SMEs and adjusted the muscle memory of workforce operations in preparation for a cybernetic future, an additional vector was required to accelerate the economic collapse before nations can ‘Build Back Better.’

I present below several ways in which the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine is the next catalyst for the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset agenda, facilitated by an interconnected web of global stakeholders and a diffuse network of public-private partnerships.

1. The war between Russia and Ukraine is already causing unprecedented disruption to global supply chains, exacerbating fuel shortages and inducing chronic levels of inflation.

As geopolitical tensions morph into a protracted conflict between NATO and the Sino-Russia axis, a second contraction may plunge the economy into stagflation.

In the years ahead, the combination of subpar growth and runaway inflation will force a global economic underclass into micro-work contracts and low-wage jobs in an emerging gig economy.

Another recession will compound global resource thirst, narrow the scope for self-sufficiency and significantly increase dependence on government subsidies.

With the immiseration of a significant portion of the world’s labour force looming on the horizon, this may well be a prelude to the introduction of a Universal Basic Income, leading to a highly stratified neo-feudal order.

Let human imagination prevail over artificial stupidity

THE MYTH OF PROGRESS

Our era is based on the myth of progress, a myth that imposes the attainment of every possibility offered by technological development, without considering the consequences that might result from it. Industrial society, in order to solve the current catastrophe and the irreparable consequences of technological development, is giving us digitisation, automation, artificial intelligence, smart cities and objects as the only solutions. Further irreversible damage can only come from technological society, so the starting point must be to radically question it.

A STRANGLEHOLD ON FREEDOM

We only have to look around us to realise that the deterioration of living conditions is progressing at the same speed as the arrival on the market of new technological gadgets. We saw this with the global spread of the Covid-19, when the deep contradictions of this model of society became evident. During confinement, for many people, work, school and sociability took place ‘at a distance’ and digitally. All this happened at a disconcerting speed. Our contacts and movements have been tracked through apps, smartphones and drones. Under the guise of health and safety, the stranglehold on individual freedom was tightened even further.

THE 5G NETWORK

While people were confined to their homes, in many cities the preparatory work for the 5G network was intensified. But what is it? The 5G network is not just a way of using the internet faster. It is much more important. The 5G network is the essential infrastructure for the realisation of the ‘smart planet’: a world of hyper-connected devices that collect and process data and information about the environment and people, a world of machines that are able to solve and constrain all human dreams and needs along predetermined paths. This network will irreversibly transform our perception of the world and the way we live in it. It will invade every aspect of our lives: from work to school, from life in cities to the management of people’s health, from the way we wage war to the exploitation of people and the environment in distant countries. Athens, Greece: A presentation from 325 for the event at the Libertarian Hangout of Pikrodafni EN/GR

Telephone presentation about 325 #12 – ‘Against the Fourth and Fifth Industrial Revolutions’ by a comrade from the 325 Collective at the event (https://athens.indymedia.org/event/84890/ ) held at the libertarian hangout Pikrodafni in support of the Solidarity Fund for Prisoners’ & Persecuted Fighters.

I want to start off by saying that I regret not being there in person, to see the faces of the comrades in attendance today because we are increasingly existing in a reality that is being dominated more by the screen and devices that have become artificial substitutes for what is real, the human face to face communication, something really lacking in the present we are in. So maybe one day we will see each others faces, our expressions of complicity, exchange some conspiratorial words. We are living in times now where ‘the movements’, well the remnants of I would call it, are struggling to find a new energy, a new path, a new trajectory through these times of pandemic, the blatant repression and control inflicted on us all, not just ‘the movements.’ This is why I am speaking to you now, as a comrade with deep concern about what is coming across the horizon at us faster than it has before, to build connection internationally, to spread ideas that can transform into action, because we are anarchists, not philosophers, academics, leftists or activists, we are those who do not see a separation between ideas and action, transforming our everyday into the attack.

The 325 project with its publications since 2004 was born from a DIY ethos, with insurrection, crime, autonomy, anti-prison and anti-psychiatry themes evolving into an ‘insurgent zine of social war & anarchy’ in later issues. From the outset there has been an increasing concentration on an international perspective, but especially with the development of technology, the destruction, death and control it inflicts.

Recently in the last 3 issues, #10, #11 & the recent issue this presentation focuses on, Issue #12, have come to concentrate on an anti-technology perspective, even given name to such an accelerating shift within the state, capitalism and the technological-industrial system, as the 4^th & 5^th Industrial Revolutions and within it the threat of the Technological Singularity.

The recent issue of 325, is a coming together of international anarchist individuals and collectives concentrating on the similar theme, analysis of the new realities that are the 4^th & 5^th Industrial Revolutions. A definition I feel is required here for both. The 4^th Industrial Revolution (also known Industry 4.0) is the ongoing automation of traditional manufacturing and industrial practices, using modern smart technology. Large-scale machine-to-machine communication and the internet of things (IoT) are integrated for increased automation, improved communication and self-monitoring, and production of smart machines that can analyze and diagnose issues without the need for human intervention. This will mostly marked by the breakthrough of emerging technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, quantum computing, biotechnology, the internet of things, the industrial internet of things, decentralized consensus, cashless society, cryptocurrencies, fifth-generation wireless technologies (5G), 3D printing, and fully autonomous vehicles. All of these as most of you are probably aware are already permeating through our present society, which shows the 4IR is already under way. Again this year we propose a moment of discussion and reflection between individuals and their realities engaged in the construction of critical analysis and paths of opposition to this techno world.
We will focus on the techno-scientific processes and developments that are accelerating under the pretext of this pandemic, the 5G network, the Great Reset, the cybernetic and transhumanist society, the need for resistance.

More than a year after the WHO declaration of pandemic and state of emergency, the planetary situation becomes clearer. One thing is certain, this “state of emergency” is made to last for a long time, the time necessary to accelerate certain processes, provided that in the meantime they have not decided to give another name to this “emergency” to continue. the process is even faster. A bit like the continuous variants of the Coronavirus, necessary to keep the general attention under pressure and, consequently, to force every decision on the agenda of the future from the new techno-medical paradigm.
In addition to the pandemic times that want to be long-lasting and above all permanent, becoming the new normal, other aspects of this program are now increasingly evident, which is being carried out internationally in very different ways depending on the countries and the various geopolitical blocs. Surely, in the first place, an unprecedented experimentation of genetic engineering (“vaccines” of recombinant DNA and mRNA) is being carried out on very large sectors of the population: a gene therapy of cellular reprogramming and modification that allows, in addition to the control of bodies, the grafting of many other techno-medical practices for each individual from birth to death.
The digital society is invading all dimensions and social aspects: from the way of working, studying, living spaces, to the way of conceiving health, one’s own body and the world. We will no longer be surrounded by the elements and emotions that make up all bodies, but by artificial elements that will irremediably project us into the world of mechanical automatisms.
The race towards the world of machines is enabled by the new 5G network, which besides being harmful by its very nature will be precisely that first fundamental step that will give way to the internet of communicating bodies, where objects will be so omnipresent with our bodies as to make it part of them in a single communicating whole, giving way to that cybernetic organism so dear to the transhumanists. These first aspects are allowing the innervation of much more, think of the new digital passes to travel between countries without having to go through the various medical-medical security oppressions and the microchips that will be implanted in the bodies.
