Berlin, Germany: Volcano Group – Shutting down fossil-fuel power plants is DIY. Have courage!

Posted on 2026/01/12 - 2026/01/12 by darknights

We sent the following statement yesterday, January 3, 2026, to Spiegel, taz, RBB24, RBB Fernsehen, and Radio Eins. Due to political calculations, our statement has not been made public to this day, except for a brief broadcast at 5:30 a.m. on Radio Eins. Afterward, all quotes disappeared following our intervention. This is not in the interest of those politically responsible at Stromnetz Berlin, the city of Berlin, the business community, the police, and other political forces. The media outlets contacted are acting accordingly to prevent any substantive discussion.

Stromnetz Berlin initially downplayed the damage caused by the fire at the cable bridge. While Stromnetz Berlin was likely able to compensate for the sabotage of the power plant in approximately 50,000 households by purchasing expensive electricity, the question of why this was not possible for approximately 40,000 households in Nikolassee, Wannsee, Zehlendorf, and parts of Lichterfelde is something Stromnetz owes the public an answer for. The ball is now in Stromnetz Berlin’s court.

We would like to express our sincere apologies once again for the inconvenience caused to the less affluent, more vulnerable members of the population. They were not the intended target of this action. We ask the public for mutual aid and solidarity. In particular, we request assistance for those requiring care and their families, the destitute residents of these neighborhoods, people who are isolated and those overwhelmed by the situation.

As already mentioned, our sympathy for the owners of the many villas, the real estate companies, the embassies, and other elite wealthy individuals in the area is limited. The rich and their self-centered, antisocial lifestyle are currently destroying the planet.

The sabotage of the gas-fired power plant is, among other things, a necessary measure against the expansion of fossil gas power plants in Germany. In our statement, we outline the connections between wealth, an imperial life-mode, and the destruction of our livelihoods, which we all must oppose.

We ask the residents of Bremer Straße to maintain confidentiality. For further verification: There were approximately 64 pipes under the cable bridge, most of which were carrying high-voltage cables. We connected these with four construction stakes to ensure a short circuit.

INTRODUCTION

Volcano Group: Cutting off the power of those in power

NEW YEAR’S GREETINGS 2026. HAVE COURAGE!

We can no longer afford the rich.
We can begin the end of the imperial life-mode.
We can stop the plundering of the earth.

In the greed for energy, the earth is being drained, sucked dry, burned, ravaged, razed, raped, and destroyed. Entire regions are rendered uninhabitable by the heat. They simply burn up. Or habitats disappear beneath the waves during floods or due to rising sea levels. Shutting down fossil fuel power plants is DIY. Have courage. We know we must stop this destruction. We know we are not alone. Don’t give up hope for a world with space for life, instead of greed for money, power, and destruction. Last night, we successfully sabotaged the gas-fired power plant in Berlin-Lichterfelde. This caused power outages in the wealthier districts of Wannsee, Zehlendorf, and Nikolassee. Power outages were not the goal of the action; the fossil fuel industry was. We apologize to the less affluent people in southwest Berlin. Our sympathy for the many villa owners in these districts is limited. We explain why in our post below. Our action for the public good is socially beneficial. We also address this issue in more detail in our letter regarding the action.

The attack on the gas-fired power plant is an act of self-defense and international solidarity with all those who protect the earth and life. The infrastructure that serves the “technological assault” and promotes the destruction of the earth can be sabotaged. Fossil fuel energy production can be stopped. Smart city metropolises, like Berlin, can be prevented. Stromnetz Berlin, a building block of this catastrophic vision of a smart city, has been hit.
For us, it goes without saying that we ruled out any risk to human life at all times.
Our detailed explanation is attached.

NEW YEAR’S GREETINGS 2026. HAVE COURAGE!

Greed for power, greed for energy, greed for destruction.

In the greed for energy, the earth is being drained, sucked dry, burned, ravaged, razed, raped, and destroyed. Entire regions are rendered uninhabitable by the heat. They simply burn up. Or habitats disappear beneath the waves during floods or due to rising sea levels. Several thousand inhabitants of Tuvalu in the Pacific are already seeking refuge in Australia.

Last year, the CO₂ concentration in the atmosphere rose to 423.9 parts carbon dioxide per million, a value that surpasses all previous records. At the same time, climate scientists agree that the massive transatlantic ocean currents will collapse sooner or later due to global warming. This collapse of the ocean currents, which has so far afforded the North a mild climate, is only one part of the catastrophe that awaits us. The extent of this devastation is simply ignored, abstracted, and discussed at global climate conferences until the scale of the destruction disappears into tables and declarations of intent.

But the hunger for energy is insatiable, devouring the earth’s crust and our lives, among other things, to feed artificial intelligence, which then spouts stereotypes and absurdities, confusing, disorienting, and/or manipulating us. Meanwhile, language, expression, and vitality are increasingly reduced, mutilated, and limited with each new “training” of the AI on previous data.

We feed our data to the so-called “clouds,” which are nothing more than gigantic, energy-guzzling data centers and server farms. These also consume our drinking water and churn out numbers that bombard our screens with useless, supposedly important spam until we’ve forgotten how to look our neighbor in the eye. Having become dependent on these small devices, we’re always ready to send an emoji and feed “Big Brother,” whose algorithm registers our deviations from the norm and answers our search queries before we’ve even finished thinking. We sit among our friends while the feeds devour us, sinking into our devices instead of having real conversations. We’re managing our own surveillance, and it’s totalized. [The tech companies are in the hands of the powerful men we give them[. We consume the colorful images that the machines filter and serve up to us, starving from loneliness and alienation in front of our screens. We are becoming ‘swiping zombies,’ knocking each other over in traffic. We are prisoners in a digital system that, increasingly, deprives us of our right to exist unless we submit to its rules and relocate our lives to social media, chat, and artificial realities. We can’t receive money, book tickets or buy anything with cash. Without access to the digital world, we are increasingly excluded, losing touch with what seems normal. We fear what will happen to us, and instead of switching off our devices and removing the power of those who track, monitor, observe, and manipulate us, we bury ourselves even deeper in our screens. We are blinding ourselves to the knowledge for the dissemination of which Edward Snowden risked his life. We are turning a deaf ear to the cries of Indigenous peoples and farmers who see the planet’s life support system burning before their very eyes. On the contrary, with every post we feed the fire that is encircling us and driving temperatures to new record highs every year. One day we will simply sit in front of glowing screens or inert devices, dying of thirst and hunger. It’s no longer hard to imagine. Leipzig, Germany: Incendiary attack on a Tesla dealership

Posted on 2024/05/27 - 2024/05/27 by darknights

[On the night of May 12/13 in Leipzig, several Tesla cars were set on fire in the Schomburgkstrasse parking lot of a Tesla dealership. Two Tesla cars were completely destroyed, and two others heavily damaged, with damage amounting to 120,000 euros. The Saxony Regional Criminal Police’s Center for Defense against Terrorism and Extremism (PTAZ) was in charge of the investigation. The day before the attack in Leipzig, 2,500 demonstrators marched in Berlin from the forest towards the Tesla factory in Grünheide, with clashes with the police. On May 16, a press release was published on de.indymedia, translated from the German].

Disrupt Tesla – Electric cars burned west of Leipzig

When the dust had slowly settled in Grünheide and the cops left, we set out on the night of May 12-13 to use incendiary devices to take several Teslas from a car dealership in the west of Leipzig out of circulation.

Unfortunately, apparently technical errors meant that only a few vehicles were hit and the damage was therefore limited.

We see this action as an opportunity to take action against green capitalism. The different means we choose should complement each other and not compete with each other.
Whether in Grünheide, Leipzig or in the countries where raw materials for electric cars or other smart bullshit are mined, we oppose both the “old” fossil and the “new” green world!

Greetings to the resistant forests, cities and villages!

Cologne, Germany: Sabotage arson attack against RWE coal train

Posted on 2023/01/19 - 2023/01/19 by darknights

In the night of 12.01.2023 we set out in deep solidarity with our friends in the Zad Lützerath to sabotage the coal railroad in the Cologne city forest.

With two strategically placed incendiary devices we hope to have stopped the delivery of the coal at least for a small moment.

RWE deserves nothing but our deepest hatred!

Even if the cops occupy the whole Rhineland they can’t watch us everywhere.

The night belongs to us!

Our action is part of a militant campaign for the preservation of the autonomous zone and against the global climate destruction.

Fossil energy production and its exploitation of the planet must be stopped at all costs.

We greet all those who oppose climate destruction and oppression throughout Germany and the world.

Freedom for all!

For a militant climate movement!

Hamburg, Germany: Responsibility claim for the arson attack on a truck of the company Strabag in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito and the fighters in Lützerath

Posted on 2023/01/12 - 2023/01/14 by darknights

January 5, 2023

In memory of the hunger-striking anarchist Alfredo Cospito we set fire to trucks of Strabag in the Schanze on the night of Jan. 5.
Strabag does not only build jails. At least since the struggle for the Dannenröder forest, they have also often been the target of attacks because they actively destroy nature. Our fire should also give strength to those fighting in and around Lützerath. Day X has already been proclaimed.

“We are in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito, who has been on hunger strike since October 20, 2022 against his imprisonment in the 41-bis isolation regime and against life imprisonment without option of release. Alfredo’s detention conditions at the moment are slightly better than the previous weeks. He has lost a lot of weight and his health is relatively stable, but could become critical at any time. Two other prisoners in Italy, Anna and Juan have been on prolonged solidarity hunger strikes and Ivan Alocco, a prisoner in France is also supporting Alfredo through hunger strike. Toby Shone, who is in jail in England, is also supporting Alfredo by refusing to eat several days a week. (DN Note: Now out of Parc prison, under strict conditions, in a ‘semi-open’ detention structure.)

We are also in solidarity with Thanos Chatziangelou of the Anarchist Action organization, who was illegally transferred from Korydallos to Nigrita prison in Serres on Dec. 19. Thanos started a hunger and thirst strike that day. The comrade is involved in the recent mobilizations in prisons in Greece against the new harsh laws that are currently taking place in many places and in which many prisoners have participated in recent months. Does the enemy lie to the right? A discussion about the current series of attacks on Green offices in the Federal Republic of Germany

Does the enemy lie to the right? A discussion about the current series of attacks on Green offices in the Federal Republic of Germany

The following text was prepared and published by the new German-language website “Aufstand! “, the birth of which we had communicated with the translation of their introductory text, and refers to an uninterrupted series of attacks and defacements against the offices of the governing coalition party “Die Grüne,” the Greens, that are taking place all over Germany; the latest attack in chronological order dates back to November 7, 2022 when, during the night, the windows of two offices of the Greens and an office of the Social Democrats of the SPD in three different districts of Berlin were attacked with hammers.

A series of attacks on the offices of the governing party, the Greens, is sweeping through the Federal Republic of Germany these days. Sometimes windows are smashed, sometimes the facade is defaced with paint, sometimes there are communiqués, sometimes political slogans are left behind, sometimes not. All of these attacks have something in common: They are an attack against a party that in recent months has increased arms spending, exported weapons, supported wars, but whose policies have also further impoverished people, continued to poison and destroy the environment in which we live-especially through wind turbines, continued to operate nuclear and coal-fired power plants, built liquefied natural gas terminals, and so on. All of this with the arrogant smiles typical of those who are warm and full-bellied, dispensing people with the classic hypocritical advice from politicians who evidently live on another level outside of reality regarding what to do to save on shower, heating and electricity consumption. Meanwhile, these political Greens have not been sparing themselves, signing contracts for new colonial energy projects, further strengthening European borders, persevering with their murderous practices and continuing to promote investments in domestic militarization. The consequences of the Greens’ policies are proving once again (nothing to be surprised at) far more dramatic than the conservative policies of recent years. Faced with a predominant focus on the part of militant antifascism in siding against the populist right wing represented by the AfD (in fact among other things politically less influential than its leftist counterpart currently in power)-and at the same time, however, not hesitating in the face of broad “antifascist” alliances with Green organizations and their youth structures-, these “antifa” should certainly ask themselves the question whether, in fact, they are nothing more than a para-state bastion along the lines of the various communist and fascist thugs of the late 1920s. That then fundamentally this question should be asked by many among those who in fact only wish for a state with a slightly different and agreeable political form. Rome, Italy: 10 cars are not enough…

Posted on 2022/08/06 by darknights

Rome,  10 cars are not enough…

In the early hours of May 27, we carried out an incendiary action against the Enjoy carpooling vehicles belonging to the multinational ENI s.p.a. (national hydrocarbon company) in the Tuscolana-Cinecittà area of Rome. According to local newspapers, 10 cars were completely destroyed, while four others were seriously damaged.

ENI has always been one of the pillars of Italian capitalism, and its interests coincide with those of the State and, consequently, of the governments that succeed one another in administering it, whether they are of the right or the left, because its profits and infrastructures are strategic insofar as they strengthen the State in which they are located, being fundamental for the preservation of economic power, in the contemporary configuration of the capitalist productive system.

ENI is present in many countries where local and international conflicts are active for the control of energy resources: Libya, Mali, Nigeria, Kazakhstan (note that not a word was heard against the oligarch Putin when he sent his troops to quell the uprisings that broke out in that country), to name but a few. In these places, energy in the form of fossil fuels has been extracted from the earth for decades to feed the energy needs of Western industry, in a pattern that takes the form of true neo-colonialism. These extractive activities, it should be remembered, carry great risks for the environment and indigenous populations, especially in countries where controls and safety systems are consciously minimized in order to maximize profits, as in the case of the Niger Delta, an area severely devastated by continuous crude oil spills and the dispersion of gases and combustion residues resulting from extraction activities into the air.
