New York, U$A: Direct Action Against Magellan Aerospace

Posted on 2025/04/19 - 2025/04/19 by darknights

April 15, 2025

Last night, some people in NYC took direct action against Magellan Aerospace, a company which makes parts for Lockheed Martin F-35 jets and other death machines used by the American and Zionist regimes. Someone went inside the fence at the back of the building and slashed the tires of trucks at the loading area. Actionists also redecorated the building with paint. Free Palestine.

Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for the attack on the Hellenic Train offices

Posted on 2025/02/07 by darknights

February 28th marks two years since the deadly crime of Tempi. Two years later and the causes of the collision between a Hellenic Train passenger train and a commercial train remain unclear. Unclear precisely because the main perpetrators of this crime are the capitalist policies of the state and its capital.

57 people died and how many others were seriously injured, with the government trying to cover up the causes of the tragedy, defending once again the private capital of the big bourgeoisie. The latest developments that have come to light leave no room for misinterpretation and misunderstanding. Whether it is fuel smuggling or the transport of any flammable materials, Hellenic Train, New Democracy and capital are covering up their crime.

A cover-up that began to develop from the very first minutes of the crash, with the unprecedented mobilization of the New Democracy’s executive state, which ran to cover up in mafioso terms the permanent complex relationship of bourgeois power with parasitic capital and its interests.

The state administration, with particular zeal, took care to distort the site of the crash, moving and patching up the materials and the site itself, in an attempt to conceal key evidence that could prove what the freight train was actually carrying, the real circumstances of the crash and the real perpetrators of the crash.

Political orders given by “known-unknowns”, political and operational officials who were “absentees”, videos that disappeared or were tampered with, a political power system and a prime minister who “didn’t know, didn’t see, wasn’t informed”. A minister who resigned by immediately standing again and a communication campaign based on human error, dressed up with the audacity of political actors who used a fake 41% as an alibi, mocking the whole of society and the struggles of the victims’ relatives who are seeking justice. At the same time, Hellenic Train, which bought the railway network for a piece of bread, is lying about the contents of the train, blaming its workers.

Nevertheless, the essence of the Tempi crime was and remains one.

Against their profits are our lives. But against the violence of capital lies the violence of our class. This was shown then by the huge and historic rallies of the working class and the people, and it is shown now by last Sunday’s overwhelming rally in the Syntagma. The squares of all the cities were flooded with demonstrators while the devastating last words of the passengers, “I have no oxygen”, became the motto of hundreds of thousands of people.

The social anger that overwhelms the social majority was expressed in a powerful way that Sunday, disarming the state and capitalist mechanisms for good, reminding them that nothing will be forgotten.

Tasks which are none other than the continuation of the struggle against the capitalist system and profit.

The attack on the Hellenic Train headquarters on Friday night, 31 January, is part of our overall struggle. It is a symbolic counter-attack against the makers of capitalist crime and a gesture of honour to those who lost their lives. An overall reminder that we will continue to fight for decent living conditions, for public and free social goods, for our own lives.

The developments of the coming period will find us at the point where the heart of our class beats. Where everything is decided, in the streets of struggle. Where the social, popular, class forces will meet to declare and ensure that the state-capitalist crime in the Tempi will not be completed.

CAUSING MAYHEM WITH FIRE EXTINGUISHERS (in your own room of course!)

Posted on 2024/06/19 - 2024/06/19 by darknights

We love promoting new ways to express your art (and defo not to cause enormous paint covering in speciesist businesses) so if you have been wondering about how you can paint places quickly, we have a great recipe for yo: How to fill fire extinguishers with paint!

Note that PalAction actually wrote an amazing guide which you can download at the end of the article. Whilst we give an overview of the steps to convert a fire extinguisher into a weapon of mass paintaction, it is not only inspired by their guide but you should actually follow their guide as it has all the details we cannot fit into a short post.

STUFF YOU NEED:

  • Extinguisher
  • Paint, water, funnel
  • Air compressor or high quality pump.
  • Hack Saw, rubber mallet.
  • A metal 1/4” BSP Taper Male Thread x 1/8” BSPT Female Thread Hex Bush.
  • A 1/8” BSPT Male Thread High Pressure Schrader Valve.
  • Barbed Hose Joiner, Barbe Hose Tail End Connector (check PDF for sizing)

LET’S GET THIS DONE!

1- Discharge the extinguisher. Ideally on some bailiffs, but if you can’t then remember foam and water extinguishers are full of shit, discharge in a bucket then empty into a toilet for fowl sewage disposal. CO2 and dust are “less” harmful.

2- Tie the operating leavers together. Then with force (or a rubber mallet) push anticlockwise on the leavers to release them. Unscrew full and pull valve and syphon tube out. Make sure you properly clean the innards of that fire extinguisher!

3- Remove the syphon tube filter. Either unscrew it if it lets you, or cut it out (as low as possible to not reduce length!

4- Unscrew the pipe from the valve assembly. In its place, screw the Hex Bush with a few layers of PTFE tape. To the Hex Bush, screw the Schrader Valve (that’s where you’ll pump the air in!!!!)

5- Fill the extinguisher with a mix of Matt emulsion and Water at equal parts. Please measure the volume of watered down paint and ensure you only fill up to the volume of the fire extinguisher and no more.

6- Screw the Valve assembly. Ensure that the leavers are fully engaged and tied/taped. Use your air compressor or pump to depressurise the system to the middle of the green zone on the pressure gauge. That should be around 14-15 BAR which will be perfect for your arts and crafts.

7- Release the operating leavers, either untie, un tape or whatever else. This will then hold the pressure inside, if you don’t do this you’ll end up covered in paint in the next step!

8- Unscrew the air compressor pipe, then with an adjustable spanner wind the Hex bush anticlockwise to disconnect it.

9- Modify the hose nozzle. Please read about this on PalAction’s PDF. Once the hose is good, screw it into the operating valve. You can tighten it a tad with a spanner.

10- Insert the pin and secure the extinguisher by taping that pin in place. Only remove it when you’re up to no good painting your room!

Rome, Italy: Wild demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian population

Posted on 2024/02/05 by darknights

Wild demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian population (Rome, Jan. 27, 2023)

Demonstrations in solidarity with the Palestinian population and against the genocide in Gaza were to be held in various cities on Saturday, January 27. The one planned in Rome, with a concentration in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, like many others was not held as it was banned.

Despite this, we learn from the media that in the evening anarchist comrades took to the streets. A spontaneous, unannounced demonstration was held in the streets of the Torpignattara neighborhood. Starting from Piazza Malatesta, dozens of demonstrators moved to the area near Via della Marranella, then crossed Via Casilina, continuing into the next blocks of the neighborhood. A number of anti-war murals and in solidarity with the Palestinian resistance were left along the route. In particular, the windows of a BNL branch and a McDonald’s were covered with writing.

Some police and DIGOS patrol cars arrived after some time. On at least one occasion, following the arrival of an armored riot control van, the repressive forces were subjected to substantial throwing of firecrackers and bottles, so – given the difficulty in making a charge immediately – they had to distance themselves. Two protesters were subsequently detained by police, taken to police headquarters and released after a few hours with charges.

Internationalist and revolutionary solidarity with the Palestinian people and the oppressed around the world!

North London, UK: Anarchists and Antifascists covered a Barclays bank with red paint and slogan in North London in solidarity with the people of Palestine

Anarchists covered a Barclays with red paint and slogan in North London in solidarity with the people of Palestine. Barclays Bank holds over £1 billion in shares, and provides over £3 billion in loans and to companies whose military technology…

This is a small action, but as anarchists and Anti-fascists we believe that everyone should take whatever action they can, small or big to fight Israeli fascism and the genocide of the Palestinian people.

Berlin, Germany: Free Sonnenallee from SPD & Greens – smash!

Posted on 2023/12/03 by darknights

On the night of Monday, November 20, we simultaneously attacked the SPD office in Hermannstraße in Berlin Neukölln and a Green Party office in Wrangelstraße in Kreuzberg as an action against the genocidal war in Gaza. With our small group action, we are participating in the weeks of resistance on the streets, a resistance that has fought for its rights through riots. You gave us “rights” because we gave you riots!

The resistance in Germany against the war is far from being symbolic. The German state and German capital have staked a lot on the outcome of the war. And not because of their alleged task of combating anti-Semitism. The two governing parties, the SPD and the Greens, have played a prominent role in this. They have also played a role in creating the racist narrative that has meant massive repression against the residents of Neukölln for many years and has led to a general de-“legalization” in recent weeks. Demonstrations were violently broken up, migrant political organizing was confronted with bans, skin color and certain clothing and colors became even more reason for brutal attacks in schools and on the streets.

On a global level, the SPD and the Greens stand for Western imperialism and despite their repeated attempts to interpret it otherwise, a capitalist offensive by Israel and its Western allies is taking place. German involvement, interests and investment in this war and in Israel’s occupation is obvious. The US Rammstein Air Base in Rhineland-Palatinate, for example, is essential for the deployment of US drones in the Middle East and in August of this year, Israel sealed the largest ever arms deal (3.5 billion US dollars) with Germany with the approval of the US. There is much more than guilt behind the German state’s “special responsibility” for Israel.

Against the Israeli occupation of Palestine and the police occupation of Neukoelln.
Free Sonnenallee from SPD and Greens.

PS: We were pleased to find our two targets already damaged. That didn’t stop us from adding even more visible damage with hammers, spray paint and paint bottles.

Greece: Responsibility claim for anti-speciest actions

Posted on 2023/05/17 by darknights

On the occasion of the celebration of the great slaughter, there was an awakening of our reflexes to a ritual that takes place at regular intervals validating the rules of hierarchy of species where animals are inferior and are species to be exploited. By striking at butchers we strike at the institutions and laws that wash away crimes but at the same time we highlight how the everyday person, the trader, the customer, etc. also participates in this timeless holocaust. From this authoritarian mania, people from below do not escape by participating in customs or anti-customs calling themselves anti-authoritarians who contribute to the maintenance of the mass massacre by the domination. Being another proof that the state and power is primarily maintained by those who follow the rules, institutions and laws set by those from above and secondarily by the state and power.

For these reasons we chose as a minimal act of retaliation to strike shops and warehouses of dismembered corpses, conceived as food, because of sadistic anthropocentric culture. We chose to sabotage with simple means such as paint, glue, and leaflets by promoting it to every person who espouses the idea of anti-slavery to act accordingly in the spaces where they move.

Breaking down in practice the structures of control, discipline, and self-monitoring. We propose mass sabotage because anarchy without direct action is incomplete.

Authoritarians of all forms will find us before you.

Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for attacks on Airbnb, hotels and cameras in Exarcheia

Posted on 2023/04/28 by darknights

In a virgin forest, a wild mountain, a quiet clean sea, a beautiful neighbourhood, the capitalist sees a “fillet”, a new field of investment and profitability. There is nothing in the world we live in, in the world of state power and the capitalist organization of the economy, that does not have a certain exchange value, that is not valued in money. Such is the nature of capital that it is driven to perpetual expansion as a condition of its survival and reproduction. Everything in nature and society is a target and a field for exploitation. In a miniature version of this process, the neighbourhood of Exarchia has recently been subjected to one of the strongest attacks in recent decades by the State and Capital. Like many other neighbourhoods in the centre of Athens, Exarcheia is still an ‘unexploited’ field for various kinds of big investors. A neighbourhood in the centre of the city, in the midst of its facade, that has been “left behind” in terms of infrastructure, big investments and profit supply to the capitalist machine.

But it is also a special neighborhood. It is different from the other – several other – downtown neighbourhoods that remain ‘underdeveloped’ and undeveloped and for which the same future of ‘development’ is foreseen. It is the neighbourhood of movements, of struggles, of politicised youth, of radicalism, of anarchists. The state has every reason to allocate many of its forces and resources to subjugate, refine, clean up, normalize Exarcheia and offer it, under its auspices, as a pawn to investors. The state knows that, traditionally, Exarcheia is the reference point of radical movements, the “headquarters” of the internal enemy. In recent years, and with particular intensity during the New Democracy government, the state has been attempting to fight what it imagines to be the final battle for the neighbourhood.

This is not, of course, a choice detached from the big picture of state policy. At the juncture of the last few years, the state seems to have considered – and, moreover, proclaimed – that it is the historically and socially appropriate moment to end the deep-rooted domestic revolutionary tradition, political radicalism, anarchists, movements, what its right-wing managers call the “ideological hegemony of the left”. In the era of economic crisis, high inflation and the coming recession, war and geopolitical upheavals, the Greek state is being shielded in the face of an unstable future. London, UK: Vandalism at the Italian Cultural Center in London in Solidarity with anarchist Alfredo Cospito

Posted on 2023/03/01 by darknights

Vandalism at the Italian Cultural Center in London

It appears that on 24th February, something unfortunate happened to the Italian Cultural Institute in London.

At this sophisticated outpost of the Italian state, guests are invited to enjoy a current series of lectures, from handpicked academic experts, on the great social and political issues of the day, with the ambassador in attendance. The previous week, the audience was treated to a discussion of the energy transition, and next week the theme was to be Justice.

All this makes it so regretable that the building’s romanesque facade, with elegant white columns and heavy wooden door, seems to have been soaked in paint by some vandal[s] clearly without the capacity to appreciate such things.

Maybe it was some disbeliever[s] in capitalism’s ‘sustainable’ future? Unhelpful people looking to provoke, always making trouble for sensible plans.

It would be a particular shame if the act casts a shadow on next week’s lecture. A gathering of cultured and cosmopolitan persons to hear about such a delicate subject as Justice surely calls for a glass of Italian wine and a canape consumed in peaceful contemplation.

Could it be that the irresponsible[s] wanted to pour scorn on the Italian State for its massacres in the prisons during the 2020 lockdown? Or for its dependable and bloody role in securing the border of europe against the pressure of irregular migration?

But another troubling interpretation remains. After all, Alfredo Cospito, whose struggle by hunger strike against the notorious isolation regime of 41bis is in its last critical stages, had yet another appeal rejected later that same day, by the wise members of the Italian judiciary.

This struggle, having stirred a whirlwind of action sweeping beyond the walls of the prison, even accross national boundaries, is becoming so severe that it is SUPPOSED to have increased the security around diplomatic buildings of the Italian State internationally for some time now.

Whatever the truth, we can be sure that the impulses behind such an act can only contribute to the general atmosphere of indignation and lack of dialogue with power that Alfredo Cospito’s struggle, against the terms of life and death set by authority, seems to have enflamed everywhere.
