Prison transfers and updated addresses for the arrested Italian anarchists

Posted on 2026/06/29 by darknights

Here we share the current addresses of the Italian comrades from the last operation. It is importsant to note the solidarity account for donations and also because these are “fixed” directions of high security prisons where the comrades are supposed to spend their pre-trial detention.

Update 28/06:

Yesterday, June 27th, Stefano and Toni were transferred.

We share updated addresses:

Stefano Marri
Pietro Rosetti

Terni Central Prison
Strada delle Campore 32
05100 Terni (TR)

Andrea Toniolo
Francesco Benedetti

Rossano Central Prison
Contrada Ciminata Greco 1

There is still no confirmation about Nico and Arnau but we know they were also transferred yesterday.
Micol remains in the AS2 of Rebibbia.

Greece: Update on the transfers of the comrades charged in connection with the bank expropriation in Kato Tithorea

Update on the transfers of the comrades charged in connection with the bank expropriation in Kato Tithorea

Following the interrogation on Friday, May 15, before the investigating judge and the subsequent decision to order pretrial detention for six suspects, the comrade subject to this measure was taken to the Western Attica Criminal Investigation Department in Ano Liosia, while the other five suspects were transferred to GADA. On Monday, May 18, the comrade was transferred to the Korydallos women’s prison; the following day, Tuesday, May 19, one of the five comrades was transferred to the Korydallos men’s prison. Three days later, on May 22, three more comrades were transferred to the prisons in Trikala, Larissa, and Malandrino, respectively. This morning, May 26, the last comrade was transferred to the prison in Nafplio, after more than two weeks of detention at GADA.

The vindictive—yet predictable—scattering of our comrades across prisons throughout Greece, with the intent of limiting their communication and psychologically breaking them, comes as no surprise to us; after all, we are well acquainted with the mechanisms of the State and its collaborators.

“We do not fight for the liberation of political prisoners out of charity or humanitarianism. Through the struggle for their liberation, we reclaim the hidden history and the experience of the struggle. But above all, we reclaim the concept of the political legitimacy of counter-violence.” (Action Directe Prisoners’ Collective)

Indonesia: Update Situation of Bima Satria Putra (Pustaka Catut) and a Call for Solidarity!

Posted on 2025/11/01 - 2025/11/05 by darknights

This corrects an earlier info that Bima was transferred to Bandung West Java paramilitary police compound. It seems Bima was only placed in solitary confinement and his comrades couldn’t reach him. LBH Bandung received incorrect info about the supposed prison transfer. Bima’s comrades managed to communicate with him and confirm where he is:

Our friend, Bima Satria Putra, who has been held in prison alongside his friend since early December 2021 for their 15-year sentences due to weed possession, is currently being subjected to solitary confinement.

On October 18th, 2025, between the afternoon and evening, Bima was taken out of his cell by the officers in Merah Mata Prison, Palembang, Indonesia, where he’s been serving his sentence.

At the time of writing (October 30th, 2025, 10AM GMT+7), we are yet unable to ascertain what caused Bima to be taken from his cell, where/what else he has been taken or subjected to, and by whose orders. Moreover, the legal counsel appointed to assist Bima is being obstructed from access by the prison administration, and has been unable to reach Bima thus far. $hile: In response to the repressive onslaught of the state against the comrades imprisoned in Santiago 1 and San Miguel. Words from Monica, Joaquin, Marcelo, Juan and Francisco.

Posted on 2023/06/24 by darknights

Prison reality is constituted by a permanent tension where our convictions and the certainty of our position at all times come into play, inevitably.

This reality implies always bearing in mind that the jailer can dispose of our lives at any moment and that our strength lies precisely in having the certainty that we will face each of these adverse situations always with dignity.

Increased restrictions, transfers and sanctions are part of these impositions that today affect our comrades locked up in the prison-company Santiago 1 and comrade Itamar in the CPF of San Miguel.

The comrade today in the punishment zone is faced with threats of transfer and the crafty tricks of a jailer with pretensions of making a name for herself. It is necessary to emphasize that this situation is due to the fact that the comrade, together with other prisoners in Tower 5, has spread the word about the abusive practices of the jailers during the raids, in a clear attitude of struggle and confrontation.

The comrades, for their part, are fighting for their regrouping after they were removed from Module 1 with the excuse of dismantling it and were distributed among different units, and today several of them are in Module 88 of punishment. Chile: Update on the situation of political prisoners in the concessioned prison $antiago 1

Posted on 2023/06/24 by darknights

On May 31, 2023, we were informed by the relatives of the political prisoners located in the CDP Santiago 1 subject to preventive measure of preventive detention, that seven of them had been transferred from module 1 arbitrarily, without any explanation, considering that all of them had been designated to the maximum security module 1A of the penitentiary center by order of the Guarantee Courts for being cases of “public connotation”.

In view of this situation and the uncertainty regarding their location inside the prison, we were asked to visit them legally in order to know their situation.

On Thursday, June 1, we went to the prison to corroborate the state of health and the location of the political prisoners of Santiago 1, and with great difficulty we were able to see three of the seven accused who had been transferred.

We learned that the three were in different modules, they told us that they had passed through different modules, where the prison population refused to receive them due to overcrowding issues, directly denying them access or even, in some cases, forcibly removing them from the space once they were already inside. Despite this situation we were able to confirm that they are well, whole, firm and unbending. $hile: Transfers and dispersal of political prisoners in Santiago 1. Words by Claudio, Koda and Ambro.

Posted on 2023/06/24 by darknights

On Wednesday, May 31, we were removed from Module 1 by orders of the gendarmerie, whose objective was to disarm the maximum security module. 6 political prisoners were sent to module 11 where for obvious reasons of number of people they did not let us in, then they sent us to classification where they offered us only medium danger modules (under our “consent”) threatening us that if we did not sign they would give us a random module.

Comrade Syde was sent only to module 16 where he decided not to stay so as not to leave us alone.

Of the 7 of us who were lifted only two were able to spend the night in a module (13 and 36) and the rest went to the punishments, a place where your life hangs by a thread.

We call to agitate, act and demand that our condition of political prisoners be recognized and that we be grouped in the same module.

We: Claudio, Ambro and Koda, who write these words have no knowledge of the situation of our comrades, we have heard rumors that those who came to the punishments lost all their belongings, we hope from the bottom of our hearts that they are safe and sound, otherwise, we hold directly responsible to

gendarmerie of chile.

Let’s fight and demand dignified conditions for the political prisoners.

Italy: Letter from Alfredo Cospito and update on the latest transfer to San Paolo Hospital on March 6

Posted on 2023/03/16 by darknights

Letter from Alfredo Cospito and update on the latest transfer to San Paolo Hospital on March 6

On Monday, March 6 (the 138th day of his hunger strike) Alfredo Cospito was again transferred from Opera Prison to San Paolo Hospital. Recall that the comrade had been an inmate in the Intensive Assistance Service (SAI) inside the Opera prison since Jan. 30, on Feb. 11 transferred for the first time to San Paolo Hospital, and then transferred again to Opera on the 27th of the same month (following the hearing on the 24th in the court of cassation), remaining there for a week, until this last transfer to San Paolo on March 6.

Following the outcome of the Feb. 24 hearing at the court of cassation (which rejected the petition to revoke his detention in 41 bis, further ratifying what had already been decided by the Rome supervisory court in its Dec. 1 hearing), Alfredo stopped taking the mild supplements he had been taking for some time.

Also in the same days as the latest transfer, on March 6, the opinion requested by the Ministry of Justice from the National Bioethics Committee on the possible medical intervention in Alfredo, that is, on force-feeding in case of loss of consciousness, was released. The CNB stresses that it has “no legal, political, moral or ethical legitimacy to formulate an ‘ad personam’ opinion” (and “consequently, the CNB’s response is of a general nature”), without even issuing an unambiguous opinion, thus dividing itself between the “pro-life” and the “pro-choice” (according to the latter, the Anticipated Treatment Arrangement should be respected in any case).

On March 1, during a press conference, Alfredo’s lawyer disclosed a hitherto undisclosed letter-statement by the comrade, plausibly dating back at least a month. We publish its full transcript here. Recall that to date, due to the systematic censorship inherent in 41 bis, it has not yet been possible to read the comrade’s first statement regarding the beginning of the hunger strike, dating back to October 20. The only statement published to date, other than this letter disclosed on March 1, was the one for the December 5 hearing in Turin as part of the Scripta Manent trial.

The state’s choice to annihilate the comrade poses the need to place, once again, no hope in the outcomes of the courts or in the opinions of the various structures deputed to express their views on the contradictions that have opened up in state bodies as a result of the hunger strike and with the development of the international solidarity movement. These are, especially with regard to the courts of the Italian state, structures and figures directly responsible for the very serious conditions in which Alfredo Cospito finds himself. The state, first with the transfer of the comrade in 41 bis on May 5 and later with the cassation ruling of the Scripta Manent trial on July 6, intended to give a warning to the anarchist and revolutionary movement. A warning that after the outcomes of the hearings of the Rome parole court on Dec. 1 and the court of cassation on Feb. 24 was expressed even more clearly, taking the form of a will to total annihilation against the comrade.

To the attempted annihilation against Alfredo and the constant mass-media campaign of slander the whole anarchist movement we respond with the clarity of our ideas and the tenacity of our practices.

Letter from Alfredo Cospito

My struggle against 41 bis is an individual struggle as an anarchist; I do not do or receive blackmail. I simply cannot live in an inhumane regime like 41 bis, where I cannot freely read what I want, books, newspapers, anarchist periodicals, art, scientific and literature and history magazines.

The only chance I have to get out is to deny my anarchy and sell me someone to put in my place. A regime where I cannot have any human contact, where I can no longer see or stroke a blade of grass or hug a loved one. A regime where photos of your parents are confiscated. Buried alive in a grave, in a place of death. I will carry on my struggle to the bitter end, not because of “blackmail,” but because this is not life. If the goal of the Italian state is to make me “disassociate” myself from the actions of the anarchists outside, know that I do not suffer blackmail. As a good anarchist I believe that everyone is responsible for his own actions, and as a member of the anti-organizational current I have never “associated” with anyone and therefore cannot “disassociate” myself from anyone. Affinity is something else. Continue reading “Italy: Letter from Alfredo Cospito and update on the latest transfer to San Paolo Hospital on March 6” →

Italy: Alfredo Cospito was transferred again to the Opera prison in Milan

Posted on 2023/03/01 by darknights

Alfredo Cospito was transferred again to the Opera prison in Milan (Feb. 27, 2022)

We learn that today, Feb. 27, anarchist comrade Alfredo Cospito, who has been on hunger strike for 131 days, was transferred from the prison medical ward located in San Paolo Hospital to the Intensive Care Service (SAI) inside Opera Prison in Milan, where he was already before being transferred to San Paolo on Feb. 11.

The February 24 hearing in the Court of Cassation, which upheld the order of detention under 41 bis, definitively ratified the state’s will to annihilate the comrade, which had already been defined in December with the outcome of the hearing in the Rome surveillance court. This latest transfer from San Paolo to Opera is perfectly in line with that will of annihilation. They intend to destroy a comrade and with him they believe they are giving a warning to the revolutionary struggle in this country. The intent, however, is in vain: the need to fight against the state and capital is ineradicable, the desire to overthrow this authoritarian social reality is inextinguishable.
