$hile: We Remember the Courage and Decision of Comrade Tortuga for Attacking Power To the Very End

Posted on 2025/08/12 - 2025/08/12 by darknights

14 years have passed since the morning of Wednesday, June 1 in 2011 when the comrade Luciano Pitronello, known as Tortu, was gravely wounded after attempting to place an explosive artifact in a branch of Santander Bank in Santiago de Chile. This action, though failed in its execution, turned into an inflection point, not only for his life, but also for the anarchist space that surrounded him and of which he was a part…

The Context of the Offensive and Repression

Luciano acted in a moment of high tension. Since the death in action of comrade Mauricio Morales in 2009, who tried to attack the nefarious Gendarmerie School, a repressive offensive was unleashed against anarchist spaces in Chile. The cruelest point of this persecution was on August 14, 2010, when the government of Sebastián Piñera executed a media and police frame up known as the Bombs Case. 14 comrades from different social spaces and squats were arrested, while another comrade went on the run to avoid prison.

Many spaces closed, and the anarchist environment suffered a retreat. All this was due to the fact that, for years, there had been various direct attacks against power claimed by anarchist groups.

In that context, Luciano’s act was not a desperate gesture, but a clear signal: the anarchist offensive against power was still alive. With his action, he not only sought to strike the symbols and structures of capital, but also to show solidarity with the comrades imprisoned in the bombs case, which was later dropped. Patras, Greece: Solidarity actions for anarchist comrade Andreas Floros

Posted on 2025/08/11 by darknights

A few days before Andreas’ apology, we carried out acts of sabotage and wrote slogans on several banks and ATMs in the city of Patras, as a minimal symbolic gesture of solidarity with him.

Andreas was accused of forming and joining the “terrorist” organization “Conspiracy Vengance” and since April 26, he has been held in pretrial detention at the Amfissa prison. On May 16, his trial began at the Lukareos Court of Appeals in Athens, where the court decided to acquit him, thus ending his detention, as he is now outside the prison walls.

As an anarchist, Andreas is targeted by the authorities because of his long-standing and ongoing participation in social and class struggles in the city of Patras. He has chosen to stand against every oppressor and alongside every oppressed person, against every authority that dominates our lives, and to fight for a free world.

The conspiracy built by the Patras state security and the anti-terrorist service, and ratified by the prosecutor and investigator, with well-known tactics such as upgrading charges, anonymous phone calls, the use of conversations with imprisoned detainees to create profiles and criminalize friendly and comradely relationships, reveals at its core the central and timeless policy of the state to attack and suppress anyone who struggles. For this reason, we recognize the prosecution and attack on our comrade as a targeted attack on the entire anarchist and anti-authoritarian movement.

Obviously, the media played an important role in the prosecution of Andreas, as they took care from the outset to reproduce the police press releases and comment on them, deliberately adding characterizations and false information to the detriment of our comrade. In this way, they created an image of Andreas as a “hardened criminal,” distorting his political identity, while at the same time reinforcing the fear that already exists in society and glorifying the role and work of the police. All of the above contribute to his early social condemnation.

Finally, for this symbolic act of solidarity, we chose as our target one of the foundations of capitalism, power, and oppression. Because banks and capital, together with states, contribute to the complete destruction of the world in order to maintain the capitalist system, which alienates, crushes, destroys, and takes away everything we have to survive. It is time to take it all back.

Athens, Greece: Update on the court decision of anarchist Andreas F.

Posted on 2025/08/11 by darknights

On Friday 18/7, the court ended the “Revenge Conspiracy” case in which the anarchist comrade Andreas Floros was on trial. After the prosecutor’s acquittal, the court unanimously declared the comrade innocent due to doubt concerning membership and with no doubts at all on any other charges, and Andreas was released from Korydallos prison a few hours later.

Over 70 people were gathered in solidarity inside and outside the courtroom, which was tightly cordoned off by all the special forces of the police, breaking the deafening silence of every kind of court with slogans of solidarity, standing by Andreas and every persecuted person.

The acquittal comes after 15 months of being held hostage in Amfissa and Korydallos prisons for Andreas, who from the first moment of his arrest denied any charges in the otherwise bleak scenario of the anti-terrorism. Once again, it was proven that the anti-terrorism, relying on the legislative framework of 187A, is organizing persecutions against anarchists and individuals in struggle. In this way, they have repeatedly attempted to spread fear around anyone who dares to question and stand against the dominant dictates of the exploitation system.

In a case with many parameters that had to be taken into account by the world of solidarity, we witnessed vengeful methods, not only against our comrade but also against the other defendants in the case aimed at supporting the anti-terrorist scenario and ultimately imposing exhaustive sentences on most of them. In a court in which any coherent evidence leading to the support of 187A was not even supplied by the very service that had led to the prosecution, the terrorist once again became the Trojan horse so that the scenarios and methods of the state and the MME could be validated .

Thus, those accused and convicted under 187A, received long-term sentences in the first instance, starting from 15 years and reaching 37 years (estimated 20) for the anarchist Fotis Tziotzis, who, although he was imprisoned during the time the actions of the indictment took place, was convicted of “moral instigation” for all the actions and for “direction” of the organization. At the same time, no mitigating circumstances were recognized, even for the accused who “fell” under 187A.

In the face of this entire horror-narrative, for 15 months now comrade Andreas has maintained a consistent militant stance throughout the condition of confinement. He published texts both on his case and on broader social/class issues and participated in several events by telephone. Furthermore, a solidarity movement was set up with dozens of events and actions in several cities. The solidarity movement succeeded in reversing the terror regime that the police had tried to impose, especially in the city of Patras. The world of struggle found itself on the streets and stood against repression in an era of accelerating state violence and an imposed modern totalitarianism.

Andreas’s case encapsulates all the vengeful fury of the state and the police against those who unwaveringly stand by the oppressed and exploited, on the side of those at the bottom of this world.
To those who do not tolerate repression, fascism, sexism, war, death and poverty. To those who fight for a world of freedom, equality and solidarity.

Total mail blockade to anarchist comrade Alfredo Cospito persists.” Updates on the detention situation of anarchist Alfredo Cospito and the mail censorship to which he is subjected

Total mail blockade to anarchist comrade Alfredo Cospito persists.” Updates on the detention situation of anarchist Alfredo Cospito and the mail censorship to which he is subjected (Circolo Anarchico “La Faglia” July 2025)

TOTAL BLOCKADE OF CORRESPONDENCE TO ANARCHIST COMRADE ALFREDO COSPITO PERSISTS.

Update to early July 2025. In these days news arrives again regarding the particularly afflictive situation that the management of the Bancali prison, probably in concert with the Ministry of so-called justice, is imposing on our anarchist comrade Alfredo Cospito, particularly with regard to epistolary correspondence.

Recall that censorship of incoming and outgoing mail is a constitutive element of the 41 bis regime to which the comrade is subjected. For a long time Alfredo has received no letters, postcards, telegrams or communications of any kind. This is despite the fact that many of us are continuing to write to him, even with collective correspondence initiatives such as the one that took place in Foligno last May 31. In addition, the prison management has long since stopped notifying the prisoner of the notice of censorship, a document against which to appeal in order to receive the epistolary material placed under seizure. The mail simply disappears into thin air.

This behavior is in addition to a long series of persecutory dispositions aimed at the psychological and political destruction of his comrade: from denying him access to books already ordered and authorized, to CDs or headphones to listen to music, to reporting him to the bar association for his defenders guilty of shaking his hand and giving him a kiss at the time of the interview-that is, guilty of treating him as a human being.

All this in an already enormously afflictive context such as that of 41 bis, which provides for two hours of air per day in groups of a maximum of four people decided by the ministry, one hour of interview per month with a family member separated by glass or alternatively ten minutes of phone calls during which the authorized family member must go inside a barracks to call. As well as, as mentioned above, the censorship of correspondence and the inability to read books dealing with subjects deemed sensitive (and the great difficulties in finding any books in general).

We firmly denounce that this doggedness is evidently a state vendetta for the intransigence and determination with which the hunger strike of 2022-23 and the international solidarity mobilization were conducted, putting the spotlight on the shadowy zone that is 41 bis with unprecedented intensity, going to pickaxe that phony celestial aura that surrounds the anti-mafia-anti-terrorism structure.

Moreover, a doggedness that comes in the aftermath of Undersecretary Delmastro’s 8-month sentence for revelations of an official act, which matured precisely in the scoundrel’s attempt to smear Alfredo Cospito during his hunger strike.

The misery of these characters in the face of the consistency of an anarchist who never bowed his head jumps to the eye. On the one hand one who kneecaps a nuclear witch doctor, on the other who on New Year’s Eve high on cocaine in a moment of rare consistency shoots himself in the legs.

In the climate of world warfare these days, we reiterate that these incidents should be read as real policies of war against the enemy within. Great are the challenges that engage revolutionaries in such a historical period, but all the more so we cannot and will not leave anyone behind. For whoever forgets the prisoners of the revolutionary struggle, forgets the revolutionary struggle itself.

In view of the possible renewal of 41 bis for Alfredo Cospito in May next year, let us make sure that this, too, returns to being a battlefield fraught with contradictions for the state.

DFW Support Committee Denounces Abuse of Prairieland Defendants (USA)

Posted on 2025/07/14 by darknights

Dallas-Forth Worth, Texas — A week after the arrest of 10 protestors at a demonstration at Prairieland ICE Detention Center and the subsequent arrest of the spouse of an arrestee, Johnson County Jail is obstructing the defendants’ access to legal representation and retaliating against them for exercising their 5th and 6th amendment rights pursuant to the U.S. Constitution. These constitutional violations have occurred in conjunction with a far-reaching investigation that has included numerous instances of excessive force and intimidation by various police agencies, friends and family of the defendants reveal. Prairieland Defendants – 11 charged after July 4th shooting at North Texas ICE facility (USA)

Prairieland Defendants Support Group Releases Statement and Begins Fundraiser

Dallas-Fort Worth, TX — Today, members of the DFW Support Committee, a group supporting the 11 Prairieland Detention Center arrestees, released a public statement and legal support fundraiser. On July 4th, a group of people protested against the kidnappings and renditions of ICE at the Prairieland Detention Center. By the next day, 10 people were arrested and their loved ones and friends were scrambling to locate them and find out what had happened to them. On July 6th, the spouse of one of the defendants was arrested by the FBI and later charged with obstruction of justice. The police’s story did not make sense to the arrestees’ loved ones and friends, so they began organizing to free the arrestees. Recognizing a need to raise funds to support the defendants and to address the political context in which this is occurring, the DFW Support Committee is releasing a statement and starting a fundraiser for defendants.

The committee’s statement has been released after the arrestees were subsequently charged by the US Department of Justice in a charging document that frames the protest as a violent ambush. Additionally, the spouse of one of the initial defendants was detained by the FBI. The statement categorically rejects this narrative and suggests instead that, “The glaring inconsistencies in the official narrative and the alarmist accusations are a clear attempt to bolster the Trump administration’s claims that the United States is on the verge of chaos, warranting a dramatic increase in militarized police action.”

In addition to the statement, the committee has launched a fundraiser for the defendants. This fundraiser’s description states that it is intended to “raise legal fees and living expenses for all those facing repression connected to the protest at the Prairieland Detention Center.” At the time of release, over $11,000 has been raised. DA PARI A PARI
Contro l’autoritarismo identitario

ON EQUAL TERMS
Against identitarian authoritarianism

We are some anarchist comrades who took part in the ‘Sabotiamo la guerra’1 assembly. With this writing we want to speak out on a bad episode that happened at our assembly (not the only one of this kind, but the most serious), but above all on a forma mentis and an ideology that now make such episodes systematic. If we present ourselves in such a circumscribed manner, it is because ‘Sabotiamo la guerra’ is precisely an assembly, made from time to time by those who participate in it, and we cannot speak on behalf of all its many past, present, and future participants. Having said that, let us begin to explain ourselves.

Filaki- Prison World (english subs) 2007

Posted on 2025/06/30 - 2025/06/30 by darknights

Documentary from Greece about the prison society, its role in social control and the ongoing rebellion against it…

The film focuses on the prison uprisings against the political repression and social war against the comrades in Greece as well as the hunger strikes against the Type-F prisons in Turkey which soon spread to engulf many of the prisons in Greece. These prisons are similar to the Type-C prisons in Greece, the FIES in Spain, the CSC in the UK and other punitive isolation torture regimes around the world.

During the afternoon R.Z. escapes again, for the last time. A detainee shouts to him, ‘How did you do it?’. R.Z answers: ‘From there at the top… you can’t find a way to escape from those walls, because there are other walls beyond… another prison. You must escape from the roof, and head towards the sun. They will never be able to build a wall between the sun and the earth’.

Information about the new prosecution and court case against Lambros & Panagiotis Vougiouklakis and Fotis Daskala (Greece)

Posted on 2025/06/26 - 2025/06/26 by darknights

This is an English-language translation of the following text by comrades Lambros and Panagiotis Vougiouklakis and Fotis Daskalas on Athens Indymedia.

Human dignity is a term we meet in the dictionary, and it defines the choice of a person to act based on solidarity, punctuality, consciousness and the uncompromising struggle against the enemies of freedom.

The history of all hitherto societies is the history of struggles for dignity, a social – class war. Free man or slave, patrician or plebeian, invader or resistance fighter, in one word: oppressor or oppressed, are in constant opposition to one another. A continuous struggle which is expressed either covertly, or openly.

The ruling classes of each age use justice and the legal system to neutralise those who, with their struggle, question the status quo of those above, those who choose to react to the unjust. Justice is but the expression of a power balance, and that is why it was always used to force revolutionaries into silence, to imprison the rebellious, to compel insurgents to renunciation.

Bourgeois justice is the natural result of a society of people who want to deceive as much as possible, since deception is the only path towards power and wealth. Fundraiser: Support Bristol Defendant Solidarity – UK

Posted on 2025/06/26 - 2025/06/26 by darknights

Bristol Defendant Solidarity (BDS) is calling for your support and solidarity in a crucial time of need.

https://chuffed.org/project/bds

For years, BDS has been a steadfast ally to those battling with the legal system due to their involvement in protest, resistance, and direct action. We also support those who have been arrested and targeted by violent, discriminatory policing or suffered other state repression.

Over the past few years, we’ve supported almost 100 people targeted following the ‘Kill the Bill’ demonstration on 21st March 2021. The community’s response was phenomenal: your support and donations have been a powerful display of collective defiance and solidarity. But we still need your help to enable us to provide consistent, ongoing and meaningful support to many defendants facing state retribution.

Four years on, the repression remains relentless. So too must our solidarity. KTB defendants are still facing court cases and serving lengthy sentences, while the police enjoy their impunity. Continue reading “Fundraiser: Support Bristol Defendant Solidarity – UK” →
