On reaching the bottom, you can always dig. On statist and militarist drifts

Posted on 2024/05/07 - 2024/05/07 by darknights

A friend and correspondent of ours found this statement in a Telegram channel (this one: https://t.me/s/matrioskainfo?before=3540). We believe it should be publicized, and deserves a few words. But clear ones.

The support of various anarchist groups (in Germany, Eastern Europe and elsewhere as well) for a non-existent “Ukrainian resistance”-which is actually the armed force of a state-had already embittered and distressed us. But that now “the various anarchist groups in Germany” (on whose behalf do these people speak? ) are calling speeches at the demonstrations of Ukrainian nationalists and NATO ventriloquists, moreover, issuing the relevant communiqué at the “international” level; that they explicitly speak out against “the cease-fire” [sic], equating its demand with “cooperation with the Putin regime” [sic]; and that all this is happening at the very time when NATO states (i.e., our own) are shamelessly pushing for direct confrontation with Russia, all this becomes a real enlistment. If we then consider that, during the period-Covid, part of the “antagonist movement” in Germany went so far as to demand the obnoxious green pass at the entrance to many self-managed spaces; that, during that same period and in the same circles, anyone who did not vaccinate was branded a fascist; that those who solidarize with the Palestinians against the Israeli genocide have a hard time saying it – and, if they do say it, are attacked by self-styled “comrades” as “anti-Semites”… if we think about all this, a question arises: what the hell kind of antagonism is it that on decisive issues sides with “one’s” state and “one’s” ruling class? And if there are comrades there who-we are sure-do not share these statist and militarist drifts, are they saying so openly? If so, we would gladly publish their positions.

The times into which we are plunging no longer permit reticence. Against war, against peace, for social revolution.

International communiqué from German anarchist groups

Anarchist bloc at February 24 demonstration in Berlin

On Feb. 24 at 12 noon in Berlin, the Anarchist Bloc will join a demonstration to mark the second anniversary of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine. 12 noon, Unter den Linden (U-Bahn station).

“We, the various anarchist groups in Germany, invite you to join the February 24 demonstration in Berlin, on the anniversary of the beginning of Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, to express solidarity with the Ukrainian people who are fighting for their lives and for freedom from imperial domination and terror.

On this day, we want to call on the international community to actively protest politicians in their countries who are calling for a ceasefire and negotiations with the Putin regime. A ceasefire at this stage will only give Russia some rest and a foothold in the occupied territories so that it can strike back at Ukraine and other countries with full force. The object of the “peace” negotiations at this stage is the lives of the people in the Russian-occupied territories, people who are suffering from unprecedented repression and terror. The negotiations are preparing the ground for a new war.

We say NO to any cooperation with the Putin regime. We express solidarity not only with the anarchists/anti-authoritarians fighting on the front lines or engaged in humanitarian works, but also with the entire Ukrainian society that has been resisting and fighting the consequences of Russian aggression for two years.”

Hungary: How Putin’s friend started hunting anti-fascists in the EU

Posted on 2024/01/09 - 2024/01/09 by darknights

For the past 20 years, the neo-Nazi group Blood&Honor has been gathering thousands of neo-Nazis from all over Europe on February 11 for a “Day of Honor” in Hungary. The occasion is the attempt by Hitler’s soldiers, along with their Hungarian allies, to break out of Soviet-encircled Budapest and return to Nazi Germany. Of the 28,000 soldiers of the Wehrmacht, SS and Hungarian allies, only a few hundred broke through. Most were killed or captured by the Red Army.

Now neo-Nazis lead a 60km march every year from Budapest to the breakthrough lines with sad faces and memories of SS veterans who died in WWII.

Viktor Orbán’s far-right Hungarian government doesn’t really interfere with the march, and according to some reports directly assists some far-right groups in rewriting history. The organization officially organizing the march received about 2,700 euros from the Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources, and the organizers themselves produced several documentaries for Hungarian state channels, including one about the glory of Hungarian troops during World War II.

Russia: Radical Resistance 29.03 – 13.04.2023

Posted on 2023/04/18 by darknights

Bashkortostan

On March 29 the court ordered four guerrillas to be put under arrest who used flammable liquid to set fire to a relay cabinet located at the 3rd kilometer of the line “Karlaman – Priuralie” in Karmaskalinsky district of the republic. Among the detainees were a student of a radio engineering college, a furniture polisher, an unemployed man and a teenager.

According to the investigation, after the first successful arson, they decided to set fire to a second cabinet near Urshak station. There they were detained, wearing balaclavas and carrying flammable liquids.

A criminal case was instigated under articles “Act of terrorism” and “Preparation for a crime”, while the first arson was prosecuted under article “Intentional destruction or damage to property”.

Kemerovo

On 31.03 guerrillas burnt a relay cabinet, this time in Kemerovo. The RDPS movement claimed responsibility, reporting that the local media were ordered to cover up the incident. The guerrillas managed to get away.

St. Petersburg

02.04 A bomb was detonated in a cafe in St. Petersburg, killing Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin), a military correspondent and propagandist for Putin’s regime. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the explosive device detonated by remote control detonated between 300 and 450 grams of TNT equivalent. Responsibility for the action was claimed by “the St. Petersburg column of the National Republican Army,” associated with the tg-channel Rospartizan.

Cafe Patriot was founded by Yevgeny Prigozhin, and then handed it over to the patriotic movement Cyber Front Z. It organized a “creative evening” for Tatarsky.

Daria Trepova, an FBK supporter and participant of anti-war actions, was indicted. She is charged under Part 3 B of Article 205, Part 4 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code (terrorist act committed by an organized group, deliberately causing human death; illegal carrying of explosive devices, committed by an organized group). According to the investigation, on April 2, Trepova, “following the instructions of persons acting from the territory of Ukraine”, brought a statue stuffed with explosives to the cafe and gave it to Tatarsky.

Daria was detained in a rented apartment in the Vyborg district of the city. During the interrogation she stated that she was used undercover, that she did not know what was inside the statuette. She also stated that the fulfillment of the task of gaining Tatarsky’s trust and passing the statuette was a condition of getting a good job in Kiev. Partisan ’22: Russia’s Anti-Putin Underground

Posted on 2023/03/26 - 2023/03/26 by darknights

When Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, anti-Putin Russian partisans began to launch sabotage operations against Kremlin infrastructure inside their country.

After almost one year of war, these cells in Russia have grown exponentially. From Moscow to Vladivostok, there have been more than 80 confirmed anti-government attacks in the past 12 months.

Russia & Ukraine: Radical Resistance 15.02-26.02.2023

Voronezh

On 15.02. trains on the Lipetsk line “changed the schedule” at night. The reason – partisans destroyed signalling systems units.

Moscow region .

On February 16, 02 in Yuzhnoe Chertanovo several guerrillas smashed the windows of a Mercedes car with Z-symbols parked in the yard, cut the car up, presumably with an axe, and poured blue paint over the interior.

No one was detained as a result of the action.

Krymsk .

On February 16, the small town of the military airbase in Krymsk was without communication. Guerrillas destroyed the mobile and Internet communications station in the area. Expensive equipment was burned down.

Kaliningrad

On 18.02 eight young guerrillas, all between 15-17 years old, set fire to a relay cabinet, which resulted in a standstill on the railroad.

Unfortunately, all the participants were detained by the police. A criminal case has been opened for intentional destruction or damage to property. The authorities claim that the group was led by 15-year-old Ruslan and that the young guerrillas were acting “on orders from Ukraine”. Such statements by the authorities are made quite often, especially when it comes to very young or very old partisans or people belonging to the lower social strata. What is behind such claims in each particular case, and whether anything is worthwhile at all, we are likely to find out only when the Russian regime is destroyed.

Irkutsk Region

On 18.02 an unknown person tried to set fire to the administration building in Bokhan. Unfortunately, the administration building of the settlement did not burn down, as it was made of brick and lined with metal siding. The attempted arson was noticed by a security guard when he was watching the video surveillance cameras. He called the police, and forensics gathered the remaining evidence. Looking for the arsonist

Cherkessk

On 20.02, unknown offenders tracked down Arbitration Court judge Salpogarov and deputy head of the Treasury of the Russian Federation Elpakanov by car, attacked them with bats, threw them on the ground and beat them up. Elkanov was taken in a serious condition to the hospital. Salpagarov “received less serious injuries.”
The attackers are being sought and hopefully they will not be found.

Bolzano, Italy: Statement at the appeal trial for the Brenner demonstration

Posted on 2023/02/08 by darknights

Today, Feb. 3, the last hearing prior to sentencing in the appeal trial for the anti-border march (Brenner, May 2016) was held at the Bolzano court. This is the statement read in the courtroom, signed by some 20 defendants:

Statement at the appeal trial for the Brenner demonstration

If there is a place where words do not express mere opinions without consequences, this is certainly the court. In a few days, in this courtroom, it will be decided whether and for how long our future will consist of bars and prison.

This is no reason to keep silent.

In the repressive doggedness that the various public prosecutors’ offices in this country have long reserved for the anarchist movement – of which the 130 years in prison dispensed in the first-degree verdict in this trial is a good example -, in these days it is reaching its zenith. The state seems determined to condemn to death fellow anarchist Alfredo Cospito, now on his 107th day of an all-out hunger strike against the torture of 41 bis and against hostile life imprisonment. Alfredo’s determination, on the one hand, and institutional ferocity, on the other, decisively overshadow for us the outcome of this trial and our individual fates.

In a country marked by a long trail of real massacres carried out by state apparatuses with the manpower of neo-fascists-this is not only a historical truth, but even a judicial one-, to be convicted of “political massacre” are … two anarchists (Alfredo Cospito and Anna Beniamino), for “a massacre without massacre attributed without evidence.” The most odious falsification of the anarchist idea and practice, taking Alfredo to the grave for living of 41 bis.

If this is the logic, then 130 years in prison can be doled out for a demonstration that caused, according to the same prosecution, 8,000 euros in damages. Consistency, as they say, is in the whole.

While there is talk of the Constitution, the rule of law and peace, reality tells us that the democratic governments of the West are leading us straight toward conflict with Russia, that is, on an inclined plane at the bottom of which is World War III, with the accompanying annihilation of terrestrial life.

The fury against dissent in general and against anarchists in particular is the home front of that war. The 41 bis is prison of war.

That is why Alfredo’s great courage and the solidarity he was able to muster are so frightening. They are part of that humanity that will never side with NATO bombs, just as our comrades in Russia do not side with Putin’s bombs.

While it is up to you to choose whether to join the chorus of repression that is nowadays more disproportionate, our thoughts and hearts are with Alfredo.

Rome, Italy: 10 cars are not enough…

Posted on 2022/08/06 by darknights

Rome,  10 cars are not enough…

In the early hours of May 27, we carried out an incendiary action against the Enjoy carpooling vehicles belonging to the multinational ENI s.p.a. (national hydrocarbon company) in the Tuscolana-Cinecittà area of Rome. According to local newspapers, 10 cars were completely destroyed, while four others were seriously damaged.

ENI has always been one of the pillars of Italian capitalism, and its interests coincide with those of the State and, consequently, of the governments that succeed one another in administering it, whether they are of the right or the left, because its profits and infrastructures are strategic insofar as they strengthen the State in which they are located, being fundamental for the preservation of economic power, in the contemporary configuration of the capitalist productive system.

ENI is present in many countries where local and international conflicts are active for the control of energy resources: Libya, Mali, Nigeria, Kazakhstan (note that not a word was heard against the oligarch Putin when he sent his troops to quell the uprisings that broke out in that country), to name but a few. In these places, energy in the form of fossil fuels has been extracted from the earth for decades to feed the energy needs of Western industry, in a pattern that takes the form of true neo-colonialism. These extractive activities, it should be remembered, carry great risks for the environment and indigenous populations, especially in countries where controls and safety systems are consciously minimized in order to maximize profits, as in the case of the Niger Delta, an area severely devastated by continuous crude oil spills and the dispersion of gases and combustion residues resulting from extraction activities into the air. Rome, Italy: Paper bomb (bomba carta) against the Belarusian embassy

Posted on 2022/03/26 - 2022/03/26 by darknights

On a cold night in March we threw a paper bomb (DN: Bomba carta, like a powerful firecracker, card outer and blackpoweder inside) at the Belarusian embassy, located in Rome in the Montesacro district, in Via delle Alpi Apuane.

We know that the press agencies assumed that it was a gesture related to the involvement of the Belarusian regime with the Russian one in the ongoing war in Ukraine. It’s not just that. It is undeniable the servility of the government of Lukashenko, dictator of the country since 1994, towards his friend Putin; despite this, it is clear to us that this, as always happens when States and their respective interests clash, is a war between powers to redefine new geopolitical balances, to share new/old spheres of economic, military and political influence. This war full of blood and sowing of death is the responsibility of Belarus as well as of Europe, NATO, Russia and the Ukrainian government itself. There are no possible sides in this kind of wars, if not on the side of those who defect, those who resist and those who counterattack the real enemies.

Lukashenko’s authoritarian regime, among other things, was responsible for the brutal repression of the spontaneous and decentralized uprisings in Belarus at the dawn of his umpteenth “re-election” in August 2020. After thousands of arrests, beatings, tortures, rapes and a few murders, when many of the most active protesters were in prison or forced into exile, the regime changed its strategy, allowing large weekly demonstrations in the capital Minsk alone, while at the same time crushing self-organized realities in the provinces. The myth of peaceful protest and the recuperative sirens of nonviolence did the rest: the belief that the mass demonstrations would have led Lukashenko to abdicate the throne ended up extinguishing the spark that had ignited the anger of so many.

The anarchist realities in Belarus for several years were already under the eye of repression of the regime and many fugitive comrades abroad have decided to return to the riots and fight, forming their own groups. Among them, Igor Olinevich, Dmitry Rezanovich, Segej Romanov and Dmitry Dubovsky are four comrades who were arrested on the orders of the Belarusian KGB in the fall of 2020 near the border with Ukraine, and who were then tortured to extract confessions. At the end of a mock trial they were sentenced to between 18 and 20 years in prison, for possession of weapons and for acts of terrorism, related to arson attacks against cars and offices belonging to the organs of repression. These are the highest sentences ever imposed so far in the history of post-Soviet Belarus.

This gesture of ours is dedicated to them, and to all the comrades who continue to fight inside and outside the prisons.
For the prisoners killed during the March 2020 uprising in Italian prisons, who still cry out for revenge.

For international solidarity!
For anarchy!
