Call for International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners 2023 // 23 – 30 August

Posted on 2023/08/05 by darknights

The world is on fire. The climate crisis is getting worse and worse. Instead of masks against Covid-19, people now have to wear masks against smoke from forest fires. At the same time huge areas getting flooded due to heavy rain caused by the ongoing pollution of the environment. Nothing of that is caused by individual decisions of the people. It is not cause by buying the wrong product in the supermarket. It is caused by the systematic exploitation of nature and humanity. Governments and big corporations are the ones steering us into a climate catastrophe that, at this point, seems to be unstoppable.
Governments and big corporations that created a world where wealthy people are more important than others. This was especially visible while the global media had nothing better to do than talking for 5 days about a missing submarine filled with 5 rich people, while hundreds of others are dying in the mediterranean sea during their try to get chances for a better life.

Extreme right, conservative and authoritarian politics are increasing all around the world. Some use it to start Wars and kill thousands of people, some build fences and guard what they think is their property and others use it to arm up in the digital world. Surveillance is increased and the states are leaping more and more into our private spaces, analyzing our private conversations and collecting data about us with a depth of detail we could never have imagined. The tools of the states to crush resistance, crush even the idea of fighting the system, are sharpened with every minute. Many anarchists, anti-authoritarians, environmental activists, and antifascist around the world face repression because acting anonymous in a digitalized world is as difficult as never before.

With all the obstacles put into our way during the struggle for a better world, anarchist ideas and values remain important. In times of crisis methods of collective organizing, mutual aid and the principle of solidarity start to shine. The system will fall apart and we should get ready to take back a world that was stolen by companies, yacht owners and the war industry. A world that was meant for everyone. And while our friends are put behind bars and states try to hide them in the darkest corners of their prisons, we will not hold still but fight till they are free again.

Let’s break out together!

That is why we are calling again for International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners. Do some action of solidarity! Write letters, organize speeches or film screenings, make our comrades visible on the streets with a banner drop or a graffiti and let them show that they are in our hearts and that we are fighting together.

Let’s remember those who fought against this injustice and payed with their lives.

No one is free, till all are free!

Germany: Code Name Jenny / Deckname Jenny

Posted on 2023/08/04 - 2023/08/04 by darknights

“Code Name Jenny” is a highly topical political feature film. We are putting the film on the net for free. It is a gift for all people who like political films. And for all people who fight for a better society.
“Code Name Jenny” was made by independent filmmakers at the self-governing Berlin film school “filmarche”. The film music was made by the wonderful band: “Guts Pie Earshot” and “Nomi & Aino”.

A film that was not interfered with by any production. It was made by critical filmmakers and activists, without money. Filmed at resistant locations in the city of Berlin, where no other camera can get to.
Spread the link to the film. Do screenings. Don’t pay money for screenings or only a contribution to political projects. Discuss the film. Invite us if you want political discussions or want to know how such a film can be made as a no budget film. If you have money and want to support another film, please contact us (there is a good idea!).

A shift to the right in Europe. Drowned people in the Mediterranean. Fortress Europe is growing against refugees. The climate is breaking down. And the wars are getting closer.
Jenny’s gang is no longer watching. And acts. But when Jenny’s father finds out about their militant ambitions, he has to face his own past as a member of a German urban guerrilla group. And now things get tight for all involved…

A story between love and betrayal, hope and resignation, resistance and friendship.
Shot from an anarchist, feminist and queer angle, subversive and self-deprecating, but always lovingly partisan… and intergenerational. That’s it.

Those July days still linger in the wind EN/IT

Those July days still linger in the wind

Many of us did not experience that July 2001 firsthand, others did, and those of us who were there do not forget the beatings, the charges and the murder of Carlo, but today as at the time neither do we wonder.

Similarly, even those who did not live through those years grew up with contempt for both the police and the foam-clad rabble in the middle of July who mimicked police riot gear and, with ridiculous “declarations of war” to the powerful, led an entire generation astray.

In the years that followed until today we continue to experience the product of those days in Genoa. The same dynamics recur today: on the one hand there are echoes, albeit different, of words that are bursting but lacking in concreteness; on the other hand, as opposed to these new “declarations of war,” there is the continuous concerted effort with the enemy to grab a few crumbs, a few accreditations that increasingly pave the way for that “beggar’s mutualism”-which is nothing but the privatization of the beggars.

Once again we ask ourselves “other possible worlds” or anti-capitalism?

From all those who choose other possible worlds divides us a gulf, sharp and deep between opportunism and combat, between mediation and social revolution.

“We do not forget the murder of Comrade Carlo Giuliani, just as we do not forget those who forgot, exploited or sold out on the altar of political and electoral interests. We do not forget the concerted protests, the attempts to divide the “movement” before the Genovese revolt, the delusions afterwards.

Let us not forget those who enriched themselves between Europarliamentary seats and institutional positions.

Let us not forget those who first used, then divided and exploited, and finally sold out the 2001 Genoa revolt.”

Carlo lives in the struggles of those who, like us, daily put up battles that have anti-capitalism as a fundamental point without expiring in the search for the phantom “new possible worlds” nor in the annual ritual commemorations: each of us must give something, so that some of us do not have to give everything.

“A dance with time. Greetings, year seven”

Posted on 2023/07/20 by darknights

Greetings from nowhere.

“Freedom is secured not by the fulfillment of one’s desires, but by the removal of desire.”

– Epictetus

My journey into clandestinity began 7 years ago today. It was July 10, 2016, the sun was heating up the city and for most of the people I met that day it was just another Sunday. For me, that day was both an end and a beginning. Giving up my old and beloved reality of life, replaced by the great unknown variable. Leaving the old behind me, welcoming the new. A painful and overwhelming start of the journey… From then on I was confronted with the unknown every day, resembling a person who has lost their sight from one day to the next and now has to focus on their other senses. I wandered around, looking for anchor points, and after long months, with patience and persistence, finally regained my bearings. My life was back on track, or so I thought… What had to come was coming. The next big shock hit me and once again life held its instruction manual in front of my nose; leave the old behind, welcome the new. Clandestinity is a rigorous study full of hardships, but the fruits of it will be a lifetime harvest for me.

A year ago, I stood again in this clearing to call out to you. To let you know that I am well. To let you know that I sincerely love you and carry you in my heart day after day. Today, one year later and 7 years after the beginning of the journey, I am somewhere else, as I will be tomorrow. But the bond between us remains. I had to leave you behind physically. But spiritually and emotionally you have been my silent companionship for 7 years. Thanks to you I always find the strength and courage to welcome new things into my life. To then, when the time comes, leave it behind me again.

Still on the run, mentally ready for the task of securing freedom –

With love and in solidarity

Your friend and comrade from nowhere

At Daggers Drawn… – announcing new publications at rupture distro

Posted on 2023/07/13 - 2023/07/13 by darknights

This text, since it publication, has inspired many anarchists in their projects, proposals and practice, but it is with no sense of nostalgia that we have reprinted this booklet, rather because we realize that its central questions and critiques are more relevant than ever: how to identify the enemies of freedom, those in the ivory towers, those on the streets, those within our struggles?

“Published in May 1998 by NN editions, a publisher started only seven months earlier by some anarchists who had participated in the weekly newspaper Canenero, this booklet, has been translated into Spanish, Portuguese, English, French, Dutch, German. Since then, it has nourished reflections, offered suggestions, strengthened tensions, raised doubts, as well as provoking much irritation (the concept of ‘the existent’ in particular, in its bursting totality, has proven rather indigestible for those who aspire to administer the State in any way). In its small way, At Daggers Drawn has contributed to the spread of an autonomous, insurrectional anarchist perspective. A perspective that is inherently irreducible to “small reformist steps” and not seduced by “a revolt for a few intimates to the sound of pyrotechnics and poorly crafted slogans”. Forged in the rejection of the false choice between citizenist reformism and vanguardist armed struggle, these pages assert the immediate necessity and possibility of an insurrectional poetry carried out by all. This should not be confused with pathetic political propaganda, nor with boastful and self-referential communiqués.

[…]

It is well known who the authour of this text is: no one. Born from long and continuous discussions, writing, re-writing, additions, changes, suggestions and corrections, At Daggers Drawn should belong to anyone who recognises themselves in it, just as it always should be. Like everything that is the work of no single individual, it belongs to everyone in general.”

– From the introduction of Ai ferri corti, ed. L’oro del tempo, 2015

At daggers drawn: an expression that can be traced back to a variety of historical anecdotes, commonly defining a very specific moment of a violent conflict – the crudest, in the greatest physical proximity and the closest to its end. For those choosing to not look away, nor accept, nor reproduce the miserable and tragic existent that authority imposes, conflict seems inevitable.

As power, its promises, its progress, its blackmails, keep scaring and seducing even those who speak of freedom from authority, we are still faced with the same frustration. We find, over and over, and closer and closer, anarchists making choices based on logics of convenience, efficiency, political strategy and the spotlights of the spectacle, rather than defending, no matter what, anti-authoritarian ethics. So yes, conflict also against the false critics, those who talk about freedom, but when “necessary” throw away our ideas and practices for the sake of favourable alliances, popular acceptance and a chance at a by-all-means-necessary “victory”.

So what these pages declare is permanent conflict: anti-authoritarian ethics are under permanent attack, from all sides, and if those who carry them in their hearts do not defend them, even when it’s exhausting, uncomfortable and inconvenient, their existence in space and time and memory will be relinquished to where authority wants them…

It is with the same passion and urgency that shook us the first time we read these pages that we announce a new print run, in English and German.

Italy: Fifth International Meeting 28 – 29 – 30 July 2023 THREE DAYS AGAINST TECHNO-SCIENCES

Fifth International Meeting
28 – 29 – 30 July 2023
THREE DAYS AGAINST TECHNO-SCIENCES
at Altradimora, strada Caranzano 72, Alessandria (AL), Italy

FRIDAY

12.30 p.m. lunch

15.30
Presentation of the meeting by Resistenze al nanomondo – Bergamo

16.00 – 19.00 Speeches followed by debate

Towards the biolaboratory world
The international attention focused for many months on the Wuhan biotechnology laboratory did not serve, as many have thought, to find a scapegoat in the dangerous Chinese research – especially when zoological narratives of Pangolins and Bats were disproved by the very drivers such as Fauci – rather, we were facing a new biotechnological dimension. The numbering of the security level is only to be seen as a detail where the biolaboratory with all its consequences and side effects, understood as new chimeras and biological weapons towards society as a whole, goes. A society to be surrounded first and then penetrated to the depths, where the biological alarm bell sounding will get mixed up with the bell announcing school recreastion, as it did with nuclear power. This time there is no atomic fallout to be averted, because the new biotechnological dimension with the living being at its centre is about to normalise. We are already in confidence, otherwise there would be no call for moratoriums and a techno-science on a human scale, this can never be given, because it does not exist.
Costantino Ragusa, Resistenze al nanomondo

Cellular mRNA redesign platforms, towards a humanity on a scale of gene therapies, digital identity and QR codes
The era of vaccines is opening, which would better be called the era of gene therapies with genetic engineering technologies from recombinant DNA to synthetic mRNA and nanotechnology for a cellular redesign platform. Universal vaccines – actually gene therapies – for influenza, vaccines – actually gene therapies – against cancer, these and others to be taken up also at a preventive level for a restructuring of medicine in a predictive and preventive key on a genetic basis. We will be responsible if we fall ill because we have not followed the new dictates, not an increasingly deadly society.
We will review Europe-wide vaccination campaigns for Sars-Cov 2 and other future decreed pandemics. But that’s not all, after testing it on women in African countries with their subsequent sterilisation, the trial of the contraceptive vaccine starts, opening up a further transformation: a vaccine to produce an immune response against a bodily process – pregnancy. Genetic modifications of DNA, infertility, increasingly early cancers will not only be health consequences, but will represent a profound transformation of future generations: infertile, sick, weak, ready to be hijacked into genetic engineering and artificial reproduction biolaboratories. To close the circle from the Green Pass we are coming in a big hurry to the Digital Identity that will travel with the 5G network, so at the next scanner check the QR will tell who fails to fit their parameters…

Milan, Italy: Sentence from the trial for the clashes and resistance to the eviction of Corvaccio Squat and Rosa Nera on November 18, 2014

Sentence from the trial for the clashes and resistance to the eviction of the Corvaccio Squat and the Rosa Nera on November 18, 2014 in Milan

On Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, the anarchist occupations Corvaccio Squat and Rosa Nera – Occupied Anarchist Space, located on Via Ravenna in Milan’s Corvetto neighborhood, were being evicted with a huge number of trucks, cops, DIGOS, helicopters, and the like.

On July 3, 2023, the trial process for those resisting the eviction and the ensuing day of struggle that lasted well into the evening came to an end, with sentences of up to eight months.

Support the occupations, against all evictions: solidarity and resistance!

To put the facts in context, below is a text published in November 2014:

Corvaccio resists, Corvetto ignites
Communiqué for the evictions of the Corvaccio squat and the Rosa Nera anarchist space

An abnormal awakening for Corvetto on Tuesday, November 18: in Via Ravenna instead of cappuccino and brioche, breakfast with tear gas and barricades.

It is 7 a.m. when the neighborhood, already alert and on the alert for the much heralded “eviction emergency,” notices the approach of a large number of pickup trucks. They head for Ravenna Street and close with vehicles and men two entire blocks with the clear intention of evicting Corvaccio and Rosa Nera. The former is an occupied house in which little less than a dozen rebels have lived for more than two years, while the latter an an anarchist space that for almost eight months has been hosting concerts and aperitifs in support of the prisoners, meetings, screenings and assemblies on various issues of struggle, and where at low speed a drumming class, a screen-printing workshop, a gymnasium and a documentation center are also coming to life.

The fierce press campaign, which for a week now in all newspapers nationwide has been painting those two spaces as the nerve centers of a phantom “black immovables,” turns out to be insubstantial in comparison to the relationships of trust and commonality, which day by day are growing among the neighborhood’s occupants, who are now accustomed to taking to the streets to resist the evictions together. (2011) ‘The Sun Still Rises’ – Conspiracy of Cells of Fire

Posted on 2023/07/04 by darknights

Knowledge chooses its project,
each project is new and chooses its moments,
each moment is new, but simultaneously emerges from
the memory of all the moments that existed before

— The Interior of the Absolute

1. The Beginning

The Fire Cells Conspiracy revolutionary organization didn’t begin its activity from out of nowhere. It wasn’t as if a straight line had cut through space and time. It was a future crying out from the past. The Conspiracy comprised a collective synthesis, connecting the backgrounds and viewpoints of all who participated in it and drawing valuable conclusions from past experiences of subversive projects and attacks we took part in.

It represented our desire to take a step further, not to climb some ladder of informal hierarchy that fetishizes violence and its methods, but to simply advance, move forward, and explore new perspectives, making the shift from a “bunch of friends” to an organization, from the sporadic to the consistent, from the spontaneous to the strategic.

Along the way, we assumed a critical stance toward the past, but we never went out of our way to be hostile. We are anarchy’s misfits, born from its potent moments and gaping voids. Additionally, the goal of critique and self-critique is not to put an end to something, but just the opposite: it’s an aspiration to evolve something. The fact that we’re not going to elaborate a corresponding critical review right now doesn’t mean we’re afraid to recognize our mistakes. Rather, it’s because that kind of examination is better served by distance and cool nerves than by impulse.

During no phase of our brief, intense history did we lose our collective memory of the anarchist milieu we come from. We also feel we discovered something we have in common with comrades who began the struggle before us, engaged in their own battles, were arrested and imprisoned, but never lowered their heads. We discovered the unrepentant passion for revolution that connects histories and realities of struggle from different decades in a shared context of individual and collective liberation.

In that context, we forged our own alphabet. Speaking the language of direct action, we openly raised the issue of creating organized infrastructure. As anarchists, we often distance ourselves from the concept of organization because we equate it with hierarchy, roles, specialization, “you must,” and obligations. However, words acquire the meanings given by the people who use them. As the Fire Cells Conspiracy, we stormed into battle over the meaning of revolutionary anarchist organization. France: ‘La rage, partout’ Responses after the umpteenth police execution

Rage, everywhere

Le Monde / Thursday June 29, 2023

The night of Wednesday June 28 to Thursday June 29 was marked by major tension and damage in many Paris suburbs, with urban violence spreading to other French cities such as Toulouse and Lyon, following the death in Nanterre of Nahel M., a 17-year-old teenager killed by a police officer for refusing to obey orders.

Although calm in the early evening, the situation then became tense in the Hauts-de-Seine suburb, already the scene of clashes between residents and police during the night. More than a dozen cars and dumpsters were set on fire, and barriers were placed on the road, as Le Monde journalists observed. The walls of one building were tagged with the words “Justice for Nahel” and “Police kills”.

At 2 a.m., small, highly mobile groups were still clashing in the Pablo-Picasso district. Police forces had withdrawn and were no longer visible in a part of the housing estate that had come under the complete control of the rioters. The fire department has also retreated, according to our local reporter Luc Bronner.

Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin had announced the mobilization of 2,000 police and gendarmes in Paris and its inner suburbs for Wednesday evening, 800 more than last night.

Incidents were also reported in several towns in the Hauts-de-Seine district. In Clamart, a tramway train was set on fire, according to a police source.

Around twenty communes in Seine-Saint-Denis reported incidents, according to a police source, sometimes in normally quiet towns such as Dugny. According to this source, each time there were groups of less than a hundred highly mobile people on the scene. The Préfecture de Police reported 35 arrests shortly before 2 a.m.

In Essonne, a group of people set fire to a bus at around 9 p.m. after removing the passengers in Viry-Châtillon, according to police sources. Clashes also broke out shortly after 8 p.m. in the Mirail district of Toulouse, where several vehicles were set on fire, with police and firefighters receiving projectiles, according to a police source.

In several areas of Dijon, the authorities reported the burning of rubbish dumpsters and the firing of fireworks. In Lyon and the surrounding area, as well as in Vénissieux, Bron and Villeurbanne, the police were targeted by firework mortars. A fire probably caused by pyrotechnic fireworks broke out in a building in Villeurbanne, leaving four people slightly injured, the fire department said. “Some apartments” were destroyed by the fire and ten households, or 35 people, were rehoused. Four people were also hospitalized with mild poisoning. In Vaulx-en-Velin, the police station was targeted before the police intervened.

Elsewhere, tensions were reported in Roubaix (Nord), Amiens and Nice, according to a police source. Some incidents, as in Saint-Etienne, Lille and Rennes, took place on the edges of rallies in support of Soulèvements de la Terre, the recently disbanded environmental movement.

The security post at the entrance to the Fresnes prison estate (Val-de-Marne) was attacked with fireworks by rioters on Wednesday night, Agence France-Presse (AFP) learnt from a police source.

Videos consulted by AFP show around twenty hooded youths attacking the guard post at the entrance to the estate with firework mortars and various projectiles.

France: All fire, all flame. Interviews with former members of the Revolutionary Cells (RZ) Germany, 1973-1993 FR/EN
