Σκοπός του εγχειρήματος “Ευλογημένη η Φλόγα” δεν είναι μόνο μια θεωρητική διάχυση της μαύρης αναρχίας, αλλά τη διάχυση της ριζοσπαστικής θεωρίας/κριτικής που πηγάζει από την ενέργεια της εξεγερτικης οπλισμένης επιθυμίας, αναγνωρίζοντας ότι η κοινωνική κατάσταση, στην οποία βρισκόμαστε και δεν επιλέξαμε, οδηγεί τις ζωές μας στην πτώχευση, στην αποξένωση των εγώ μας.Δεν υπάρχει διαφορά στο τι κάνουμε και το τι σκεφτόμαστε. 8 years after his assassination: Sebastián Oversluij “Pelao Angry” Presente!

We share this poster in memory of Sebastián Oversluij Seguel, killed in 2013 by a bank guard in the state-controlled region of Chile, when he was preparing to carry out a bank expropriation.

On December 11, 2013, during a bank expropriation, Sebastián Oversluij “Pelao Angry”, a fellow Anarcho-Nihilist Antispecist, who upon entering the bank branch armed with a submachine gun was shot down by William Vera, the filthy Mercenary/Guard of the Banco Estado de Chile, in the commune of Pudahuel, Santiago.

There are people who are a safe harbor to land in. Marilu had all the characteristics, although thorny and ironic in the discussion and in certain cynical anecdotes of the miseries of the movement, she knew how to be welcoming, always and in any case, without fear or difficulty. In her telling and recounting, far from the rhetoric of some of her writings that linger in a certain hagiographic complacency in painting portraits of comrades and episodes of the 80s, she gave her best in the daily concreteness, with the simplicity of those who have known and lived the most varied experiences. Thus surfaced the revolutionary wave and the times of backwash and the companions of a life of militancy (term now a bit ‘retro, but full of meaning on her lips): from the old anarchist partisans from Carrara described in an anti-rhetorical form, in the act of digging up their infracycles treasures to help the young people of AR, to the ” comrades ” of the Roman squats of the 90s to support in the occupations; from Horst Fantazzini in the few periods of freedom between one jail and another, greedy for life and adventure, to Gianfranco Faina, an intellectual in struggle and on the run; Fernando Del Grosso, a partisan from Abruzzo, who told of not giving himself peace until he reached all those responsible for the death of his brothers slaughtered by the Nazi-Fascists. All this mixed with memories of a trip to Nicaragua to support the struggle and the stories of the Bangladeshi stallholder to help with his problems of being an illegal immigrant in the metropolis, the posters of Casa Pound under the arcades of Piazza Vittorio to tear down (“and if no one helps me I’ll go”, and she really did! ) and the frequentation of the chorus of women singers of the popular tradition and struggle, the flamenco shoes shown with pride and the heart medicine “forgotten” in the drawer, her presence at any parade, making fun of the dismayed look on the guards’ faces when they saw this lady in a camel-colored coat and half-heeled shoes surrounded by young punks, the same smile with which she whispered, twenty years ago in the streets of Genoa, “we’re going together” taking under her arm the comrades she saw weighed down by “overly” loaded backpacks.
The same density of stratified experience immediately caught the attention of those who crossed the threshold of the old house in Piazza Vittorio for the first time, also of lived and crumpled nobility, between the Bangla market and the Chinese stores, open day and night for the comrades. On the walls were oil portraits of a frowning nineteenth-century ancestor (Marilu came from a noble and “fascist” family of Ferrara, of which she was the refractory daughter) and posters of the fight against special prisons; the photos of dead comrades and the lace tablecloths worn to welcome the living ones, the peach stones carved in the shape of a ring “Horst’s gift when he was in jail” and the ” diary” with the phone numbers written in pen on the wall (“so when they come for the next search, even if they take away the diary I’ll have them”), behind the heavy frame that enclosed the aforementioned noble frown.

It was clear that there were no stereotypes of movement applicable, but solidarity and indestructible bonds were always valid, despite galleys and ideal shipwrecks; pride was valid, in narrating her and her comrades’ experiences of struggle, the pride of narrating something well done, a job completed to the end.
In this sense, above all, she was enlightening and luminous in revealing, almost in a fairy-tale way, the hardness of the blows she received and the beauty of resistance, freeing those who came into contact with her from the heavy weight we carry on us, in order to travel light.
It would have made a mockery of the infamous presence of the police, up to the occasion of the last farewell to her, the last anecdote of an anarchist watched by living and dead, as if a funeral could be a seditious demonstration. Or perhaps, in these dark times, the dead are considered more alive than the living?

Athens, Greece: What happened in Perama area

In the early hours of Saturday 23/10/21, 7 bike cops were chasing a car they thought was stolen. In it were three young guys, which the cops recognized as roma. A bit later, there were 38 fire-shots, aimed not at the tires of the car (in their supposed attempt to stop it), but higher; in a clear attempt to injure/murder the passengers of the car. All shots were fired by the cops. The three young guys were unarmed. Nikos Sampanis, the 18-year-old co-driver was instantly killed, as he was hit with 2 bullets on the chest. A 16-year-old is injured and still in hospital and the 14-year-old driver ran away amidst gunfire. The cops were initially arrested and were charged with the felony of manslaughter and attempted manslaughter.

A few minutes after their *arrest*, Spyridon Georgiadis, Minister for Development and Investment, tweeted his congratulations to the murderous cops. The Citizen Protection Minister, Takis Theodorikakos, paid them a visit in jail. For “symbolic reasons” as he stated.

From the very first moment, mass media in Greece focused on the fact that the murdered young man is a “roma”. Additionally, they falsely reported that he had a heavy criminal record. This was proven to be a blatant lie. In fact, the notorious police reporter Nina Karamitrou posted a photo of a man with dark skin holding a gun, presenting him as the dead Nikos. The photo was fake. The cops’ attorney, A. Kougias, characterized the roma community in Greece “a plague”. Al. Kougias is a well-known lawyer from criminal cases but also a defense lawyer in cases of the Greek mafia. He was also the defense attorney for the cop that murdered 16-year-old A.Grigoropoulos in 2008.

The greek reality is that the roma community is constantly targetted by the authorities and subjected to racism and discrimination in the greek society. The roma community is a typical case of a marginalized community.

Yesterday evening the investigator and prosectutor decided to release from custody with no restrictive measures all cops with felony charges. Once again, minutes after the decision, the Citizen Protection Minister, Takis Theodorikakos, expressed his “satisfaction on the decision of the independent judiciary”.

«I’d like to point out that in all the most serious cases the institutions have proved to be compact: magistrates, prefects, police and all the other forces intervened without hesitation making the face of the State even more determined before the delinquent acts that were being carried out». The words which former Minister of Justice Alfonso Bonafede used in parliament to claim the March 2020 massacre in Italian jails can be actually applied to everything that has happened over the past two years.

Millions of people were finally able to observe the true face of the State. First they locked us in our homes for three months, then it was the turn of night curfew, of regional closures, of so-called semi-lockdown (when we could go out of our homes, yes, but only to go to work). Finally we arrived at the so much awaited «restart».

Economic recovery at all costs is certainly not a «return» to freedom and happiness for individuals but a demand for total self-abnegation towards the needs of the market. There is a red thread linking dramatic episodes such as the Mottarone massacre [on 23^rd March 2021 a cable car crashed to the ground from the summit of Mottarone, a mountain near Lake Maggiore in northern Italy, killing fourteen passengers], six deaths a day at work, attacks on porters on strike and imposing the green pass on all workers: this red thread is called the restart of the capitalist economy. The only thing they are interested in is that the economy doesn’t stop again, that there are no outbreaks at workplaces. Never must the car stop again, they’d rather cut the brakes. Thessaloniki, Greece: Responsibility claim for the arson attack on a drug dealer’s house

The most important aspect of the revolutionary war against the tyranny of the state and capitalism is the recovery of moral values, the barrier to universal decline and the redefinition of the word dignity. The head is mechanically lifted from the neck, but it is the soul, faith and determination that are the tools that stand up to the enemy. We are two worlds violently and universally reckoned. And if we are inferior in strength we are always superior in quality. For our stature begins with our eyes and reaches to the full-lit stars.

In the real dimension of the revolutionary struggle, words without deeds are prayers without perspective. And the world is not changed by wishful thinking. The real rupture is in the actual field of military conflict with every mechanism of subjugation, the state and capitalism. Moving from subversive theory to practical aggressive propaganda, we translate into practice the words of the militant formation of the Organization Anarchist Action, taking responsibility for the arson attack on the house of a well-known and unexceptional drug lord at 147 Kassandrou Street in the centre of Thessaloniki in the early morning of October 13, the day when the trial-parody of comrades N. Matarraga and G. Kalaitzidis on the pretextual charge of physical and moral instigation in the execution of the drug lord Habibi in Exarchia.

In our crosshairs is another police collaborator who is trading death and decadence at the expense of the social base. The immunity enjoyed by this particular scumbag is eye-opening as his house and the showcase shops he occasionally maintains to launder money from the black coffers by arranging his business and merchandise, are located in a well-policed zone (of military-political-diplomatic interest) around the Turkish Consulate where one can meet from simple security guards to ranking agents and diplomatic attachés. It is this immunity that we want to challenge, this security and complicity that we are challenging in practice through an arson attack in the heart of the police compound.

But this particular narco-mafia, like his whole gang, is not content with simply spreading decadence in proletarian communities and subcultural neighbourhoods. He is guilty of a series of abusive behaviours and sexist attacks against workers and non-workers who happen to be in the environment where he moves. Trash like this particular mobster should be deep in the earth facing only dirt only to be met and punished again by those who lose their lives thanks to their dirty wares. Desde los rincones más inquietos de la memoria nos autoconvocamos, tanto compañerxs que conocimos a Claudia desde una fraternidad rebelde como también quienes, sin conocerla, nos reconocemos en su experiencia de vida y de lucha, para continuar con el combate al olvido, aportando a no dejar que la historia se escriba por si sola, a sumarnos a aquel torrente de recuerdos que ha decantado en praxis y resistencia, multiplicándose y expandiéndose a través de bibliotecas, centros sociales, actividades, okupas, combates callejeros, acciones, lienzos, afiches, murales y panfletos.

Esta vez desde nuestra mirada, desde nuestro recuerdo, con rabia y dolor, con nuestras derrotas parciales pero también con las victorias a cuestas, pretendemos levantar, lejos de las verdades incuestionables, un ejercicio/praxis de memoria y volver a recorrer los pasos que llevaron ese 11 de septiembre de 1998 a la compañera Claudia López, la chica Claudia, con sus 25 años, a caminar hasta la población La Pincoya donde dejo su vida en la calle, asesinada por balas policiales. Tiros avalados por un Estado siempre al servicio del capital y los poderosos. De estos hechos y de esta realidad no hay duda alguna, a pesar de las infamias periodísticas o maniobras jurídico-policiales.

Que la chica haya estado esa noche en la Pincoya no obedece a la casualidad o algún momentáneo impulso rebelde sino a una decisión y a un camino trazado desde hace años en luchas y enfrentamientos callejeros, tanto en universidades como en distintas poblaciones, de igual forma en su activa participación en coordinaciones combativas, aunando fuerzas entre distintas experiencias autónomas y de luchas antiestatales.

A lo largo de estos años mucho se ha comentado respecto a la militancia política de la compañera, ésta sin lugar a dudas no puede ser comprendida desde categorías únicas y determinantes, más aun cuando eran tiempos que a partir de un acertado cuestionamiento a un marxismo dogmático por parte de quienes apostaban por revitalizar una práctica ofensiva contra el poder y el capital, se genera un acercamiento entre tendencias de un marxismo revolucionario; el anticapitalismo y la autonomía, con el anarquismo. USA: Looking Critically at the Brooklyn Center Riot – An Interview from Anathema

Originally published in Anathema, an anarchist publication from Philadelphia, the following interview talks about the realities of the Brooklyn Center riot that kicked off in the wake of the police murder of Daunte Wright in the spring of 2021.

This interview was conducted two months ago, which was already two months after the events this spring in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. The riot in Brooklyn Center took place in the context of the Derek Chauvin trial, almost a year after he murdered George Floyd. This interview was an attempt to reflect on one participant’s experience of the events in Brooklyn Center and consider what they tell us about how things might unfold in the future. For many of us, the George Floyd uprising has weighed heavily on our minds as we try to imagine next steps to take. What became clear to me in this interview was that between the George Floyd uprising and the Brooklyn Center riot — despite the direct influence and geographic proximity — was an expanse.

Although the Brooklyn Center riot was an outgrowth of the George Floyd uprising, it was also a reminder that the previous summer’s events would not be repeated. Now, after a relatively quiet summer, it seems all the more important to be looking toward the future rather than fixating our gaze on last summer’s uprising. In this interview, we explore some of the developments and unique characteristics of uprisings in the aftermath of the George Floyd uprising.

You were in Brooklyn Center in April. Can you describe what happened?

Yes, there was a police murder: Daunte Wright, 20 years old. He was basically trying to flee the scene where he got stopped. There was two nights of rioting — I am going to say rioting. Some people want to say “it’s not a riot, it’s a rebellion.” I am just going to say it was a riot.

People were throwing stuff at the cops. There was looting by car in the Brooklyn Center area, also in Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs. The first night the neighboring police station got shot up; someone shot the front doors of it. Someone else shot at a cop — maybe 3 days after it started.

All throughout people were calling for the burning down of the police precinct (that was the focal point of the riot). They never succeeded. People tried. The police set up a gate. It was similar to what happened in Portland at the courthouse. But they didn’t actually breach the gate.
