Don’t forget to turn off the light on your way out

The modern world has held us hostage non stop, ever since childhood, venting the merits of security and making us forget the copious dose of servitude we must accept in return for progress through a series of increasingly poorly kept promises.

As the horizons that present themselves at the forefront of civilisation’s advances continue to darken – the ravaging of wilderness, the increasing domestication of the living, the artificialisation of beings – the present world continues its frantic race, making it ever more dependent on energy infrastructures and the products they consume and produce: oil, uranium, electricity.

In the space of less than two centuries, the production of electricity and the increasing electrification of spaces has continued to expand and colonise every part of our lives.

Initially, only a few businesses and industries used electric energy. Then the technique gradually spread to domestic use. Today, we carry and use more and more accessories in our daily lives at every moment, in our pockets or on our wrists, and they give rhythm to the slightest moment of our existence to the point of their use being completely normalized.

What is clear is that a technique that was once marginal and reserved for a few industries has taken on an exponential and diffuse dimension, imposing its reign in the span of a few generations.

If getting out of the digital web seems an increasingly complex challenge to realize, trying to escape from a world in which all relationships are subject to electricity is even more so. Metz, France – Boris hospitalised: call for action and solidarity

Via & Translated by Act for fredom now!

Our friend and comrade Boris has been in an induced coma in the burns unit of the Grand Est hospital in Metz since the morning of Saturday 7 August 2021 following a fire in his cell. His condition is life-threatening, his respiratory tract being highly damaged by smoke and ash. A  first skin graft operation will be carried out as soon as his state of health allows it.

Right away, a journalist from Lorraine Actu, Antony Speciale, rushed to take up the version of the facts provided by Fadila Doukhi, regional delegate of the Force Ouvrière prison union.

Priority was given to the vultures of the media of course, the prison did not even bother to inform the family until late in the day, long after publication in the news columns. Not surprisingly, the guards were congratulated for their responsiveness to this event, which had been directly produced by a year’s imprisonment.

Today, it is difficult for us to understand what happened. Boris is naturally unable to express himself and, it seems, we will only have access to accounts from the screws and the administration aimed at offloading all responsibility on their part. If there is one open secret that has been going around in the world of children for decades, it is undoubtedly that which the fox confided to the Little Prince: «It is only in the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye». Would it be mere coincidence that the heart that pronounced this phrase in the middle of the last century, while not wearing the military livery, slipped easily into the journalist’s rags, for example to denounce the «republican crimes» of Spain of 1936-37 in the major nationalist newspapers? Or that as a fervent admirer of a Marshal reconciling the Frrrrench people under his rule after the debacle was rewarded with a nomination to the provisional committee of the Rassemblement pour la Révolution nationale [National Popular Rally, collaborationist under the Vichy regime] (1941)? As some pointed out later on another occasion, the most important thing in matters of official trifles is not so much to be able to refuse them as to not deserve them. On 31st October [2020], therefore, his pathetic heirs of Master 2 Security and Defence of the University of Assas were not wrong in adopting the name of Saint-Exupéry for their sixteenth promotion, recognizing in him the alliance between «literary genius and military spirit: honour, respect, courage and love of country.». Apparently, it seems the essential can sometimes leap to the eyes all the same! But let’s move on.

At this unquestionably particular time, what could an organ that despises the spirit of the barracks as much as State terrorism discern on the other hand? At first glance, between a deadly pandemic justifying authoritarian measures of all kinds, strengthening of the technological prostheses from work to school right to all relationships, the environment becoming increasingly devastated and artificial under the incessant blows of industry, or the absence of utopian horizons – that «unrealized but not unrealizable dream» as was defined by someone famous «athoricidal projectile thrown upon the pavement of the civilized» — it is true that times seem more favourable to the clouds of domination than to the social tempest. And that there would almost be enough to lose the memory of the time before, as if covid-19 had swept it all away.

Forgotten the brief start of an insurrection in Greece a little more than ten years ago, which had at the same time marked a possible in the heart of old Europe and shown the limits of lack of revolutionary perspectives that go beyond a simple riotous extension? Forgotten the possibilities opened up three years later by the various of uprisings on the other side of the Mediterranean, drowned in the blood of civil wars, crushed under the military boot or suffocated by religious and democratic sirens? Forgotten the uprising in Chile of barely a year ago, so powerful in its acts combining expropriations and massive destructions in the face of the military, but retreating at the last moment so as not to cross the threshold of the irreparable unknown, in a territory still traumatized by a ferocious past? Forgotten these recent North-American riots against the police, for once capable of overcoming the old divisions by starting to question one of the pillars of domination, without however succeeding in undermining all the others, if not through the enraged action of few minorities? Forgotten even the famous movement of the yellow vests, undoubtedly deeply linked to the demand for a better State, while being able, in the very name of its reformist postulate to regain a spontaneous taste for riot in the face of the one in place, or that of sabotage against various power structures through self-organization in diffuse small groups? Nonetheless a promising example of identification of the enemy’s structures, which did not content itself with toll booths, tax centres or radars but had, for example, also pushed exploration to the relay antennas, to the homes of elected officials or the electrical systems of industrial and commercial areas. Athens, Greece: A presentation from 325 for the event at the Libertarian Hangout of Pikrodafni EN/GR

Posted on 2021/07/22 - 2021/07/23 by darknights

Telephone presentation about 325 #12 – ‘Against the Fourth and Fifth Industrial Revolutions’ by a comrade from the 325 Collective at the event (https://athens.indymedia.org/event/84890/ ) held at the libertarian hangout Pikrodafni in support of the Solidarity Fund for Prisoners’ & Persecuted Fighters.

I want to start off by saying that I regret not being there in person, to see the faces of the comrades in attendance today because we are increasingly existing in a reality that is being dominated more by the screen and devices that have become artificial substitutes for what is real, the human face to face communication, something really lacking in the present we are in. So maybe one day we will see each others faces, our expressions of complicity, exchange some conspiratorial words. We are living in times now where ‘the movements’, well the remnants of I would call it, are struggling to find a new energy, a new path, a new trajectory through these times of pandemic, the blatant repression and control inflicted on us all, not just ‘the movements.’ This is why I am speaking to you now, as a comrade with deep concern about what is coming across the horizon at us faster than it has before, to build connection internationally, to spread ideas that can transform into action, because we are anarchists, not philosophers, academics, leftists or activists, we are those who do not see a separation between ideas and action, transforming our everyday into the attack.

The 325 project with its publications since 2004 was born from a DIY ethos, with insurrection, crime, autonomy, anti-prison and anti-psychiatry themes evolving into an ‘insurgent zine of social war & anarchy’ in later issues. From the outset there has been an increasing concentration on an international perspective, but especially with the development of technology, the destruction, death and control it inflicts.

Recently in the last 3 issues, #10, #11 & the recent issue this presentation focuses on, Issue #12, have come to concentrate on an anti-technology perspective, even given name to such an accelerating shift within the state, capitalism and the technological-industrial system, as the 4th & 5th Industrial Revolutions and within it the threat of the Technological Singularity.

The recent issue of 325, is a coming together of international anarchist individuals and collectives concentrating on the similar theme, analysis of the new realities that are the 4th & 5th Industrial Revolutions. A definition I feel is required here for both. The 4th Industrial Revolution (also known Industry 4.0) is the ongoing automation of traditional manufacturing and industrial practices, using modern smart technology. Large-scale machine-to-machine communication and the internet of things (IoT) are integrated for increased automation, improved communication and self-monitoring, and production of smart machines that can analyze and diagnose issues without the need for human intervention. This will mostly marked by the breakthrough of emerging technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, quantum computing, biotechnology, the internet of things, the industrial internet of things, decentralized consensus, cashless society, cryptocurrencies, fifth-generation wireless technologies (5G), 3D printing, and fully autonomous vehicles. All of these as most of you are probably aware are already permeating through our present society, which shows the 4IR is already under way. Genova, Italy – Two Repeaters Sabotaged With Fire by Anarchists For The Destruction Of The Existent

“Did you eat anything that was bad for you?” inquired Bernard.
The savage nodded, “I ate civilization.”
Aldous Huxley – The New World

OPPRESSION: AN ENDEMIC EVIL OF OUR EXISTENCE
– BRIEF HISTORY –

State or pseudo-state oppression dates back thousands of years, and has had very precise stages that begin with the birth of the first cities, which then evolved into city-states, kingdoms, empires.
Those who chose to live outside these “organizations” could live as they wished.

With the French revolution was born the first modern government, centralized, homologating that cancels uses, customs and habits in spite of the directives of parliament.
Revolts and resistances to this change were fierce and equally fierce were repressed.

The industrial revolution arrived, the mother of all revolutions.
With it came the foundations of capitalism, which evolved into what it is today.
Unlike the states, capitalism knows no boundaries as well as the riots against it throughout the 800 and most of the 900 interested Europe and the United States.

In the present day, science comes into the picture, as a partner of state and capital.
Technological advancement is another tool evolved by capitalism, generates profit and opens new doors to industrial development.
From carriages to cars, from rural agriculture to mechanized agriculture, from wars with bow and arrow to wars with drones.

Scientists have always been ready to lend their help to authority and repression, refining the means of propaganda such as radio, TV, press, internet and arming the states with deadly and destructive weapons.

Companies such as Ansaldo Nucleare, Piaggio Aerospace, Leonardo, IIT, ENI are the pride of the Italian state as regards the development of war, technology and energy.
But for us anarchists are the personification of evil and as such must be destroyed for the abominations of which they are guilty.
Each of these companies are synonymous with war, devastation and repression. Continue reading “Genova, Italy – Two Repeaters Sabotaged With Fire by Anarchists For The Destruction Of The Existent” →

-The dilemmas of the contemporary «anarchist movement» versus the instituting character of the «social movements.»1.

«Vulgarly it is held that the «great mass» could not remain without religion; the communists extend that claim.»

Max Stirner, My Enjoyment of Myself, in The Only One and His Property.

«To see what we have in front of our noses requires a constant struggle.»

George Orwell, In front of your nose.

Contrary to what all the verbal diarrhea of post-modern neo-Leninism claims about the so-called «social movements», the novelty of these movements does not lie in the replacement of trade unions and traditional political parties, but in the motivational structure of the subjects involved; That is, in the convergence of perceptions around multiple factors (economic-socio-cultural) that nourish the collective longing for the welfare state and the labor society and, through processes of social mobilization, constitute a new institutional force that serves as a platform for the different fascisms -whether black, brown, red or whatever color they are given in order to persuade the «masses»- and paves the way for populist leaders.

Meanwhile, the social scientists (neo-Marxians and/or proto-populists) juggle a thousand and one times to semantically accommodate «institutionalization», giving the concept a one hundred and eighty degree turn so that it is grammatically instrumental for them; that is, hiding the intentions of co-optation of the struggles and forced integration to the «new» domination.

In this way, they reconceptualize «institutionalization» and define it as a «mediation» (between the so-called civil society and the regime) that redesigns the forms of participation, the mechanisms of representation and the devices of legitimization, enhancing the «transforming» character of social mobilization in total «recreation of the movementist tradition»2 . In the words of the merolico mayor Boaventura de Souza Santos: showing the emancipatory horizons that they recreate as agents of social change, by participating in the construction of hegemonic ideas that drive the politicization of reality3 .

Despite this evidence, the critique of the instituting maneuver of «social movements» has been mute in our tents. The shameless silences in the face of these instituting vessels -which suffocate individual breathing in the forced gasps of the movementist ritual-, have contributed to the theoretical-practical confusion that today plagues our circles, facilitating the imposition of alien programs and the adoption of the logic of the enemy (diametrically opposed to our desires for total emancipation). Instead of drawing a crucial dividing line, which establishes the definitive separation of the instituting struggles and punctuates the consistent action of contemporary anarchic grammar, an ambiguous discourse, loaded with vague expositions and excess of positivity, has been encouraged. Nancy/Besançon, France: Some information on the situation of Boris

Posted on 2021/07/07 by darknights

On April 10, 2020 during the first confinement, fellow anarchist Boris set fire to two cell phone antennas of the four telecom operators in the Jura region, also hosting police and gendarmerie communications.

As he himself explained from the prison where he is now incarcerated for ten months: “The time is ripe for the acceleration of flows and data, for the connectivity of everyday objects to control, listen to, trace, and spy on more and more, to make the human being more and more a slave to the machine. This is what domination calls “progress”, “civilization”. In reality, this project of society has everything of dystopia. Faced with this digital grid, there are not 36,000 solutions. It seems to me necessary to go beyond the stage of criticism and to act here and now, by linking ideas to actions (…). I am part of those who, at the first resounding of the state and sanitary order, refused to lock themselves up at home and went out to attack directly one of the pillars of domination” (Why I burned the two antennas of Mont Poupet, June 2021)

Incarcerated since September 2020 in the prison of Nancy-Maxéville after months of investigation and on the basis of DNA found on site, Boris went on trial last May 19 in that city. Tried in camera, without his lawyer who had asked for a postponement and without the companions in solidarity banned from court under the pretext of covid standards, the garbage in robes sentenced him to 4 years in prison, 2 of which are firm, plus a hundred thousand euros in damages. He immediately appealed this judgment, the date of which has just fallen.

Boris will be tried again before the Court of Appeal of Nancy on September 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm, and everyone can continue to express their solidarity with him, in the warmest manner they deem most appropriate…

On the other hand, as soon as he returned to prison after this conviction, Boris went to the pretrial (internal prison court) where he was given three weeks of solitary confinement, two of which were suspended, for an altercation four months earlier with another inmate, which had already been settled between the parties concerned without any need for the dirty mediation of prison authorities. Despite this week of solitary confinement and the slowness of the mail, his morale remains good. In this respect, we can also point out that the outgoing mail of the companion continues to pass through the office of the judge, whereas the investigation is closed since the beginning of April, a bureaucratic trick on which each one will be able to draw his own conclusions.

Finally, in Besançon itself, the cops don’t seem to be letting go of the case (an investigation is still open for the burning of the premises of an SFR antenna in this city at the same time), and at least two people have been approached by plainclothes pigs in recent months to try to scrape together information on Boris*’s relatives. An update will follow on these facts…

Solidarity is the attack
Freedom for all!

To get his prison number and write to Boris, you can send an email to besakattak at riseup.net, while his warrants in jail are still insured by Kaliméro, a solidarity fund for prisoners of the social war.

Anarchists in solidarity with Boris,
July 6, 2021

* Attaque note. We will also remember the pressure from the gendarmes towards one of the people searched on September 22, 2020: a summons to… retrieve a GPS beacon that they had discreetly installed under a car.

Burning the centers of the technological virus On the necessity of cutting the networks of domination

Posted on 2021/07/07 - 2021/07/07 by darknights

In solidarity with Boris(https://actforfree.noblogs.org/post/2021/06/25/prison-of-nancy-maxeville-france-why-i-burned-the-two-antennas-of-mont-poupet/), we have translated the publication which the police found in his house during a raid, and used as evidence against him.

From Infokiosques (https://infokiosques.net/spip.php?article1786)

Contents :

– Wann, wenn nicht jetzt? [When, if not now?] published in the anarchist weekly Zündlumpen no. 64, May 8, 2020 (Munich)

– Sabotages against digital normality, published on May 12, 2020 on Sans Attendre

– Incendiary walks along the railroad tracks in Munich, April 17, 2020, published on Sans Attendre

– Burn, antenna, burn! – a small (non-exhaustive) chronicle of sabotage from April to May 2020

When, if not now?

In recent years, all the devices around us have begun to take on a life of their own. Modern televisions record the conversations of those around them, modern refrigerators do the stock management and even modern ovens are no longer limited to being an electric fireplace: they have internet interfaces that are supposed to enable them to be switched on from “on the road” and through which they exchange data with their owners and other curious people at will. With smartphones, most people have long since bugged themselves voluntarily and in all their movements. So it’s hardly surprising that more than a few people are also willingly taking Amazon’s Alexa spying program into their homes. And while “technology enthusiasts” are excitedly building their “smart home” cage, the state and a handful of technology companies have even more extensive plans and visions. Voluntary (self-)surveillance within one’s own four walls was yesterday: the “smart city” of today and tomorrow includes an impressive repertoire of sensor technologies to not only meticulously record and monitor who is where and with whom, but also to control the movements and actions of the city’s inhabitants with subtle and less subtle methods, to direct and manipulate them. On closer inspection, this also seems bitterly necessary, because in the increasingly misanthropic environments of today’s cities, in which the highest priority is given to the transport of human livestock to offices, shops and factories, as well as to the transport of goods to satisfy false needs, any subversive potential must be silenced, or better yet, integrated into this illusion of life before it spreads like an epidemic and causes irreparable damage to this beautiful, perfect world.

Toulouse : Burning of a Tesla electric car, a Socorep vehicle and a Scopelec vehicle

Posted on 2021/06/24 - 2021/06/24 by darknights

We set fire to three vehicles during the night of June 16th to 17th, an electric car Tesla, a Socorep van and a Scopelec van with fire starters placed under the front wheels or on the rear wheel under the entrance of the gas tank of the vehicles.

– The Tesla because what it is made of comes from the worst extraction conditions in terms of rare earths, rare metals, plastics, metal and it is powered with electricity also produced thanks to the extractivism of uranium. This extractivism maintains many places and people under the neo-colonial dependence of the West while destroying the environment (see books “dossiers noirs” in collaboration with ‘l’association survie’ or other texts speaking of extractivism and neo-colonization).
That’s why this capitalism with a green varnish disgusts us, because it depends like the rest on an exploitation of the world for economic purposes and that its productions are absolutely not recyclable.

– The socorep van because it is a company of big buildings which participates in the extension of the cities and of the civilization while 40 000 houses are unused in Toulouse (only to speak about the houses) for so many people in the street and of sending back people exiled in their country of origin.

– The scopelec van because this company installs telecom networks and especially 5G, which participates in the addiction to technology and the society of the spectacle that puts so many people to sleep. Also this technology will connect more and more everyday objects and will allow an increased surveillance of populations and flows if it is maintained. Let’s cut off its vitality!

We want to put an end to the extension of this sickening civilization.
Let these flames spread and our anarchy with it!

Support with B. charged for the fire of relay antenna.

Toulouse, France: Fire of a van of Toulouse Métropole

Posted on 2021/06/24 - 2021/06/25 by darknights

In a night of this beginning of May, I set fire to a vehicle of Toulouse Metropole which depends directly on the town hall.
This action is part of the hostility towards those who want to govern us and against their disgusting local policies, whether it is the smart city ambitions of Toulouse with its hundreds of cameras deployed in the last few years, its deadly pro-technology ideology with the over-presence of airbus and aerospace which make it the national capital of these industries and which participate in the extension of civilization out of the earth.

It is also against the shitty social policies of this right-wing LGBTQphobic mayor with the presence of Jean luc Moudenc the mayor LREM/LR at the ‘demonstration for all’, or the anti-bivouac and anti-prostitution decrees of these last years with very explicit remarks of the deputy mayor security Olivier Arsac to the cops: “do not hesitate to violate the prostitutes to make them leave their territory”.

I hate you scum and my only hope is that the hostility against you intensifies.

For black, green and pink anarchy!
Support for anarchist prisoners and those who fight against oppression.

P.S. It would be nice to smash cameras, the locks of the boxes at the foot of the pylons are triangle sockets, and a fire starter is enough to do some damage. Don’t forget to come out covered.
