Indonesia is an archipelago of cancerous exploitation which the UK is complicit in to the tune of 2.86 billion dollars. British Petroleum, has been devastating the West Papuan landscape for 20 years, paying the local army to murder and torture the indigenous resistance as they go,in order to obtain “natural gas”. The commodity the UK imports in largest quantities from Indonesia is Nickel. Nickel mines have razed Sulawesi forests, unleashing mass poisoning of water sources through its chemical processing.
This metal is particularly necessary for electric batteries the UK consumes for the plague of e-vehicles as part of its totalitarian ‘green’ transition. The urban centers of Indonesia are littered with gigantic slums of ‘surplus’ human material, excluded from the world economy. The desperate struggle for survival under this regime makes ideal conditions for recruitment to the modern slavery of the sweat-shops which manufacture and export Nike trainers. On the attempted Far-Right attack on an East Bristol pub (UK)

Yesterday, 25-30 members of Bristol Patriots attacked our fundraiser at the Red Lion in Easton.

They arrived together in vans and cars and tried to force their way into the pub. Due to the quick thinking of people there, they were shut out. There was a great community response as more people from the surrounding area showed up to protect the pub. Eventually, they were hugely outnumbered and forced out the area by police for their own protection.

Jesús Sengere conocido por su declaración durante el juicio del motín de Quatre Camins, a preguntas del fiscal: “¿A cuántos funcionarios usted agredió?” Jesús respondió: “Pues le pegué a todo lo que se movía. Con 25 años de cárcel en régimen FIES 1 CD, a pulso sin salir. Jesús junto a Solís contarán sus experiencias vividas en el proceso del motín del 2004 en la prisión de Quatre Camins, juicio contra lxs carcelerxs y el subdirector médico condenados por torturas.

Charla a cargo de Honorio Gómez Alfaro, conocido como Pope, estuvo preso en las cárceles españolas durante 25 años. Resiliente al abandono sanitario tras los muros. Compartirá palabras de compromiso y resistencia dando voz a los presos para que no sufran la misma situación.

The International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners[1] takes place every year between 23-30 August to commemorate the murders of the Haymarket martyrs in Chicago, 1886, who died for freedom, labour rights and dignity.

This year at BASE we’re holding a fund-raising dinner and letter writing event along with a talk by ex-prisoner Toby Shone, who will speak about the international week, the background of Operation Adream*, his own prison experience and the importance of solidarity, as well as the continual need for revolutionary action.

Two years since Toby was snatched[2] for attending an International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners letter writing event at BASE, he’s back. The Counter Terror Police South-West and the National Security Division couldn’t keep our comrade out of our arms for long.

Too many anarchists and activists remain behind bars. Everywhere the authorities are cracking down against dissent and protest. When freedom is outlawed, only outlaws will be free! Come and sign cards, write
letters and learn about the anti-prison struggle and the cases of imprisoned anarchists.

Don’t forget about those in prison and if you want to take part, you can show up for a solidarity banner photograph (bring a mask!) after the event, so we can send it to prisoners. Vegan food. Fundraiser for the Anarchist Defence Fund[3].

Si bien nuestra agitación y confrontación anticarcelaria es constante en la cotidianeidad, desde hace ya más de 20 años que el 11 de junio es una fecha en la que anarquistas de todo el mundo reforzamos la visibilidad y
complicidad a través de múltiples formas con nuestrxs compañerxs encerradxs en las mazmorras del capital cargando extensas sentencias. Pero debemos enfatizar que si bien la cárcel busca la aislación de quienes contiene, esto solo tiene éxito en la medida que nosotrxs lo permitamos. Por ello, y usando la fecha como mera excusa, año tras año se levantan distintas iniciativas en espacios anárquicos espontáneos y
permanentes apostando por prácticas que traspasan el engaño de lo virtual, llevando las consignas a las calles, a la cara de nuestrxs enemigxs y a los corazones de nuestrxs compañerxs.

Desde la Angry les instamos a sumarse a las distintas acciones en este contexto (¡todxs podemos aportar en algo!) y les invitamos particularmente al turno especial que realizaremos este miércoles 11 de junio donde además de compartir en distintas instancias tendremos un espacio para escribir cartas a presxs, buscando de esta manera traspasar los despreciables muros de la cárcel para llegar directamente a nuestrxs compañerxs secuestradxs por el Estado.

INTERNATIONAL DAY IN SOLIDARITY WITH LONG-SENTENCED ANARCHIST PRISONERS

At a time when the long arms of power seek out and strike hard at our comrades and surroundings, it is up to us to respond to these blows with greater strength and determination. And one of our most dangerous weapons is anti-prison solidarity. Those concrete acts of support for those who, accused of going on the offensive against this world of bars and cages, have themselves been locked up in the prisons we seek to destroy. But the prison is not only sustained by concrete walls, closed spaces and gendarmes; it is also sustained by the annulment of the wills of those it imprisons, and by intimidating through fear those of us who declare ourselves in open war against all forms of authority.

Therefore, on this new 11th of June, a date that has managed to establish itself as a day of anarchic anti-prison solidarity, we invite you to meet, inform ourselves, discuss and nourish ourselves about the different ways to confront the imprisonment of our comrades and to make our solidarity one more trench of combat against prisons and the society that needs them.

DÍA INTERNACIONAL EN SOLIDARIDAD CON LXS PRESXS ANARQUISTAS DE LARGA CONDENA

En momentos donde los largos brazos del poder buscan y golpean con fuerza a nuestrxs compañerxs y entornos, queda en nosotrxs responder a esos golpes con mayor fuerza y determinación. Y una de nuestras armas más peligrosas es la solidaridad anticarcelaria. Aquellos actos concretos de apoyo hacia quienes, acusadxs de pasar a la ofensiva contra este mundo de barrotes y jaulas, han sido encerradxs ellxs mismxs en las prisiones que buscamos destruir. Pero la cárcel no se sostiene solamente en muros de concreto, espacios cerrados y gendarmes; también se sostiene sobre la anulación de las voluntades de quienes encierra, y de amedrentar a través del miedo a quienes nos declaramos en guerra abierta contra toda forma de autoridad.

Por ello en este nuevo 11 de junio, fecha que se ha logrado instalar como un día de solidaridad anticarcelaria anárquica, les invitamos a encontrarnos, informarmos, discutir y nutrirnos sobre las distintas maneras de hacer frente al encierro de nuestrxs compañerxs y hacer de nuestra solidaridad una trinchera más de combate contra las cárceles y la sociedad que las necesita.
