On 24.02.22, anarchists in Glasgow dropped a banner in solidarity with the 3 comrades who were arrested in Greece on 08/02, and are now being charged under the anti-terrorism law for the constitution of the armed group “Organisation Anarchist Action” following an attack on the Foundation for National and Religious Reflection (IETF).
POWER TO THE 3 ARRESTED COMRADES IN GREECE – KEEP THE FIRES BURNING
On 8/2 in the early morning hours, comrade Thanos Xatziagkelou and comrade Georgia Voulgari were arrested on the occasion of an arson attack at the Foundation for National and Religious Reflection and in the afternoon of the same day, comrade Panos Kalaitzis was arrested with a unique connection between his friendly and comradely relations with the former. In the following days the charges were upgraded to formation and membership of the Anarchist Action Organization and on Friday 11/2 the prosecutor ordered their pre-trial detention.
As a reflexive and minimal response we proceeded with coordinated attacks with hammers on :
1 atm in Agia Sofia Street in the Centre
2 atm on Agios Dimitrios Street in the Centre
1 atm in Triandria
1 atm at the War Museum
1 bank in Neapoli
1 supermarket and 1 atm in Neapoli
For us it is known that the state suppresses the internal enemy when it returns a share of the violence of power and criminalizes friendly and comrade connections.
At the same time it covers up gender violence, child rape of the holy mafia and the prominent rapists of the economic elite. It tortures in the hellholes of the police stations, drowns immigrant women, murders workers and imprisons fighters.
In this social war the position we have taken is clear and it is the sharpening of action against the state and capital and the attack on every structure of domination.

Letter of Panos Kalaitzis
On Tuesday 08/02 at 19.00 I was arrested by the anti-terrorist squad outside my comrade’s house in Ano Polis. The reason for my indictment was the arrest that same morning of Thanos Xatziagkelou and Georgia Voulgari accused of placing an incendiary device in the Foundation for National and Religious Reflection. I was taken to the General Police Directorate of Thessaloniki, where hours later I was informed of my arrest on felony charges and membership of the Anarchist Action organization. I remained in custody for two days in the basements of the GADTH, on Friday 11/02 I passed through the interrogator and the prosecutor where I was notified of my pre-trial detention.
Being now in the throes of a comic process that is taking place against me, I declare myself unequivocally and categorically innocent of all the charges against me. I am currently in custody without a shred of evidence linking me to any participation in the charges against me, without a single mention of my name in the statements of the anti-terrorist police in connection with the activities of the organisation. The only attempted connection is through the house I rented next to the shop I ran with my associates as well as next to my comrade’s house (where I actually lived), which I reserved as a quarantine and recovery space from covid-19.
I am making an effort to stand up to this conspiracy that has been set up to deprive me of my freedom. I am trying to keep my mind alert and clear so that I can resist this injustice that wants to strangle me. I am trying to stand up to this arbitrariness that sees my life as a pawn on an invisible chessboard.
Against those who take human relationships and use them as they want and as it suits them to compose whatever puzzle they design.
I’m going to make it.

In the early morning hours of Tuesday 8/2, armed forces of the SWAT (EKAM) and anti-terrorist squads storm a house at 12 Alkinoou Street in the Upper City (Άνω Πόλη) and arrest us. This was preceded by the arson of the IETP (Foundation for National and Religious Reflection), an action for which we have not abdicated responsibility from the first moment to the extent that each of us is responsible. With hoods on our faces and chains on our hands we were kept for 28 hours in isolation in the offices of the anti-terrorist police and then we met the first comradely glances in the courts. Chained between people with no faces, with our heads held high and smiles brimming with pride for what we are, for what they are persecuting us for.
The regime of exclusion has continued inside the detention cells of the ΓΑΔΘ (Thessaloniki Police HQ ) , where every time we have attempted to intervene in the public sphere of movement we find ourselves locked in our cells, a condition that the anti-terrorist police have tried to dress up under arbitrary orders for general detention of all. A condition that must be cut at the root, as our accounts with the hooded anti-terrorist squads are our own. War has rules and an act of revolutionary violence is part of our war. However, we must from now on highlight the entire moves of the anti-terrorist police who, when they attempt to crush people and ideas, frantically look for three people to uphold and set up the criminal case of Article 187A, which deals with the establishment of a terrorist organisation. We are taking our own firm steps at the same time as the anti-terrorist police are rushing ahead in delirious optimism. When the hours begin to count down to the complete loss of freedom from the teeth of confinement, each moment acquires its own distinct existential meaning. A smile, a touch, the warmth of a comrade’s voice in a cold phone call, the chants outside the interrogation are the flames which burn your heart, reminding you that nothing ends. Battles have casualties. The war itself has casualties. But nothing was given to us, nothing was given to us bloodlessy because we extended our hand. Nothing was won through prayers.

In this life, everything is won through faith and dedication to the field of social antagonism. With consistency in the battles and a relentless tension, a persistence on the offensive horizon. Through my small contribution to the evolution of the class struggle, beyond my contradictions and mistakes, if there is something that characterises me it is social consciousness and the commitment to the revolutionary duty. These are the two things that, on some evenings, become a noose around your neck and do not let you sleep. Screams, sobs, and even silences awaken, and they anger you, they enrage you, they arm you. Responsibility, comrades. We have responsibility. For all those restless nights I feel proud, because all of those nights I chose for my eyes to look at the stars. I remain unyielding, unrepetant, and angrier than ever, because I defend my proud captivity against the dead freedoms of decay.

All my thoughts, love and support remain adamantly on the side of these two people that are imprisoned next to me, giving the most important struggle of all of us. The struggle against the absurdity of repression. As for me, I will remind you that the revolution against tyranny is an account that remains open. And revolutionary violence ought to be a non-negotiable, one-way street.

In the early morning of Tuesday 8/2 two people were arrested by the anti-terrorist police in connection with the placing of an explosive device at the entrance of the “Foundation for National and Religious Reflection” in Thessaloniki. During the day one more person was arrested. A case file is formed against them for allegedly forming and joining the “Anarchist Action Organization”.
As a reflexive and minimal sign of solidarity with the persecuted comrades on Wednesday night 9/2 we chose to break 2 ATMs, one of Eurobank in Theomitoros street in Alimos and one of Piraeus in Michalakopoulou street.
We are in an uninterrupted state of war with every power and its defenders and the garbage of the anti-terrorism department should get it through their heads.

Three anarchist comrades have been arrested in a large repressive operation by the anti-terrorist unit in the city of Thessaloniki, Greece. Four houses were raided, the cops are claiming that they found at the addresses, a significant amount of materials to create explosives, pistols, ammunition, fake police and ambulance uniforms, ID’s, a transceiver and a manual for information on the creation of incendiary explosive devices entitled ‘Manual for Direct Action’.
The comrades are accused for the formation and membership of ‘Anarchist Action Organization‘, regarding acts that took place in Thessaloniki, at least since 2016, as well as for ‘terrorist acts’: Explosion, jointly using explosives, the manafacture, supply and possession, jointly, of explosives, including being accused of endangering human life. Other charges include arson, possession of guns and damage to property.
The raid on the houses was initially to investigate the incendiary explosive attack upon the ‘Foundation for National and Religous Reflection’ in Thessaloniki, that occured in the early hours of yesterday.
The three comrades have already passed in front of the prosecuter in Thessaloniki & will be detained awaiting trial.

Update: From comrades of Tameio/Solidarity Fund for Imprisoned, Persecuted Revolutionaries of Thessaloniki
At dawn on Tuesday 8/2, two people were arrested after an operation by the anti-terrorist police, due to the placement of an explosive – incendiary device at the entrance of the “Foundation for National and Religious Reflection” at 37 Mouson Street in Thessaloniki, according to the media. Later in the afternoon another person is brought in, which turns into an arrest. On Wednesday 9/2 the arrested comrades were passed by a public prosecutor and a criminal case was filed against them, which attributes them to the formation and membership of the organization “Anarchist Action”. The charges against them are: joint explosion, manufacture, supply and possession of explosives and bombs that can cause danger to people, arson, manufacture, supply and possession of pistols, as well as explosives and explosive devices in order to supply organizations and groups and damage to foreign property using explosives. In the morning of 9/2 a solidarity meeting was held outside the Thessaloniki courthouse with a strong pulse and the comrades managed to hear us. The comrades and the comrade were given a deadline for their apology to the interrogator for Friday 11/2.

On 22 October, uniformed assassins of the DIAS, detect a stolen vehicle in the neighbourhoods of Piraeus and pursue it. At the same time that the vehicle is trapped and immobilized, surrounded by numerous and armored police forces, the cops raise their guns and shoot in cold blood with 38 bullets 18-year-old Nikos Sampanis. Typically brought into the arms of civil justice are 7 cops involved in the murder, who under the blessings and praise of the Minister of Uniformed Killers himself, Theodorikakos, are released. The operation is a complete success. Score – one dead for one stolen vehicle.
From propaganda to praxis
Justice is a revolutionary affair and comes like the Sword of Damocles on your heads. As a minimum first retaliation for the previously announced murder of Niko Sampani, we take responsibility for the explosive attacks with low-powered devices on the houses of two bounty hunters in uniform, Lefteris Gatos at 19 Graziou Street and Dimitrios Daggli at 45 Olympiad Street, in the early morning hours of November 15th in Thessaloniki. Our attacks took place a few hours after a new outrageous event came to light: the arrest of yet another uniformed man for indecent assault on his 4-year-old daughter. We had made it clear that nothing goes unanswered, let alone a murder. And while incidents of police brutality are increasing by the day, passive waiting is not one of our characteristics. We go on the offensive again by publicly stating that as of today the bounty list has 19 more unpunished scumbags (with no guarantee that the above two will not be re-targeted in the future).

Last July, we proceeded to put a public bounty on 21 hired killers of the Greek Police, showing you a small but not insignificant sample of our own factionalism in the face of your impunity. And we saw the fear and terror in your eyes when you took Tsairidis from channel to channel crying and begging justice for protection. A few months later, our deeds complement our words. As long as you are unpunished, you are unprotected. History itself has shown that murderers and torturers will always meet the punishing hand of revolutionary violence, of true justice. That is why our attacks on the political descendants of the junta’s torturers, a few hours before the anniversary of the ’73 uprising, are a tribute to the memory of the dead of the Polytechnic. The most important aspect of the revolutionary war against the tyranny of the state and capitalism is the recovery of moral values, the barrier to universal decline and the redefinition of the word dignity. The head is mechanically lifted from the neck, but it is the soul, faith and determination that are the tools that stand up to the enemy. We are two worlds violently and universally reckoned. And if we are inferior in strength we are always superior in quality. For our stature begins with our eyes and reaches to the full-lit stars.
In the real dimension of the revolutionary struggle, words without deeds are prayers without perspective. And the world is not changed by wishful thinking. The real rupture is in the actual field of military conflict with every mechanism of subjugation, the state and capitalism. Moving from subversive theory to practical aggressive propaganda, we translate into practice the words of the militant formation of the Organization Anarchist Action, taking responsibility for the arson attack on the house of a well-known and unexceptional drug lord at 147 Kassandrou Street in the centre of Thessaloniki in the early morning of October 13, the day when the trial-parody of comrades N. Matarraga and G. Kalaitzidis on the pretextual charge of physical and moral instigation in the execution of the drug lord Habibi in Exarchia.
In our crosshairs is another police collaborator who is trading death and decadence at the expense of the social base. The immunity enjoyed by this particular scumbag is eye-opening as his house and the showcase shops he occasionally maintains to launder money from the black coffers by arranging his business and merchandise, are located in a well-policed zone (of military-political-diplomatic interest) around the Turkish Consulate where one can meet from simple security guards to ranking agents and diplomatic attachés. It is this immunity that we want to challenge, this security and complicity that we are challenging in practice through an arson attack in the heart of the police compound.
But this particular narco-mafia, like his whole gang, is not content with simply spreading decadence in proletarian communities and subcultural neighbourhoods. He is guilty of a series of abusive behaviours and sexist attacks against workers and non-workers who happen to be in the environment where he moves.
