‘Without Delay’ – Michela Ortu and Pierleone Porcu

Posted on 2021/09/21 - 2021/09/21 by darknights

Tired of being an island within the island: We are breaking the silence!

SOLIDARITY WITH THE RECALCITRANTS!
NO REPRESSION WILL DESTROY WHAT WE ARE.

‘Down the mask. – The time is always ripe to get rid of injustice when injustice exists. – Do you wait for the man to be back on his feet before raising him up again? – That will be the moment to give him help? – Or when he is lying down? Or when the assailant is on top of him? Or when he asks you for help?’
Carlo Cafiero

What is our struggle. What is our life.

In the present totalitarian democratic regime, the multitudes of excluded thrown to the edges of this global society are rendered invisible, useless, left to themselves because they are considered the inevitable “waste” of the highly specialized technological/capitalist production. And just as many are those who, exploited and oppressed, are suspended on the edge of the abyss and plodding on the slopes of the system that makes them chronic medical cases and infantilises them in the oppressive network of laws and assistance-dependency for life by the booming business of the “tertiary sector” that makes them outcasts of blackmail and misery, distrustful of each other, in the contest for crumbs.

The most striking outcome of this incessant seesaw of economic, social, moral, cultural, sentimental etc. obscenities is that, between compulsory servitude and involuntary servitude, the most widespread practice between exploitation and oppression becomes the breakdown into individual categories, dispossessed of oneself and crumbling among millions of particles upon which hordes of vampires parasitize and fatten themselves to the point of their total cancellation.

Thus, under the weight of authority, religions, unbridled consumerism and subservience to the bitter end, hosts of workers, unemployed, migrants and excluded of all kinds of give up fighting, they cowardly accept to barter their dignity and, slaves of their own ignorance and opportunism, albeit discriminated against and humiliated on the one hand in turn reproduce discrimination and constant humiliation on the other; completely dependent on and addicted to delegating, they even feel proud to claim the “subjects’ freedom” of being allowed to decide who should be elected in the government of the day; and having internalized authority to such a point, at every turn appeal to so-called State security, the institutions, the rule of law, the courts, the cops, judges, politicians, religious leaders, psychiatrists, social workers, voluntary work of every kind etc., in the illusory expectation and hope of being inserted by and into the system if thrown out, or become integrated if they are not yet settled.
Rather than react by violently rebelling against the blackmail, humiliation and abuses suffered every day on their skin and against the devastation and the poisoning of their territories, they give the bosses and rulers in power their life in exchange for work and security in exchange for freedom and, under the hallucinating expectation of an unlikely “class collaboration” with their oppressors, delegate, as well as to the politicians, the same bosses and capitalists, the changing of their own destiny, not giving a shit, among other things, if they themselves are contributing, with their so-called “work” to producing poisons, bombs, repression, destruction and death. To (try to) keep the cops at bay

Posted on 2021/09/21 by darknights

Source: Counter-Surveillance Resource Center

There are many guides out there that describe everything from the best ways of building timed incendiary devices, to dealing with DNA, to anti-forensic methods and how to secure digital information against search and seizure or government surveillance.

Some of them are over forty years old, others are newer, some of them still hold up while others need updating. We thought it wouldn’t hurt to have some suggestions, a brief “things to consider” article, that is reasonably up-to-date in regards to the enemy’s methods. Some lessons and experiences combined with technical info but in a format that hopefully doesn’t feel too rigid and authoritarian.

Sometimes it feels like there is a particularly repressive climate in the world or the region you live in but historically there is rarely more repression in one era than there is in another. The simple explanation is that the state is constantly waging war against its enemies, it is only more evident if one is affected by it directly or indirectly, as an individual, group or entire society. The exceptions may be situations such as world wars, but even then the mechanisms are different, and in our view it is usually possible to say that repression is constant. That is to say, it is not possible to think: I will be unaffected. Because sooner or later the spotlight will turn from yesterday’s enemy to you. Thessaloniki, Greece: Explosive attack on the offices of the Fifth Tax Office

Posted on 2021/09/20 - 2021/09/24 by darknights

When the enclaves of financial totalitarianism mortgage the lives of the proletarian grassroots to fill the coffers of the temples of capitalist barbarism, we have a duty to intervene. It is a matter of social conscience and sensitivity, class solidarity and revolutionary obligation that we too should not treat our lives as mere numbers in the bloodthirsty hands of the bosses. That is why we will remind the enemy that in this war, as long as there is injustice there will always be revolutionary retaliation.

The case of 52-year-old Konstantia Eleftheropoulou, which has seen the light of day in recent days, is unfortunately not the only one, however provocative it may be. She herself was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2017. Since then, she has been fighting for her life through non-stop treatments, reaching the point of stabilizing her condition. This year, however, after a relapse in her health, Konstantia needed to undergo intravenous brachytherapy, a specialized treatment that is not administered in a public hospital but only in a private clinic. Unemployed and uninsured like most of us, she was faced with the impossibility of accessing the treatment as the cost of the operation, including hospitalisation, exceeds €15,000 (perhaps the equivalent of a ministerial dinner). But Konstantia was not alone in facing her inability. Her public appeal for support and help found hundreds of people in solidarity at her side, who gave everything they could to help, so that one of us could survive collectively against the homicidal state mechanism that has made health a commodity, a class privilege and a luxury.

The case of Konstantia could be a small beacon of hope against the growing dystopia that statism wants to impose against the interests of the exploited. A small class victory of life in the face of generalised proletarian death. Because for us every life of our ally counts. But there are no words to describe the despicable turn in the state management of the case by the exploitative mechanisms. The tax office blocked Konstantia’s account, freezing solidarity contributions due to a previous unpaid balance, postponing indefinitely the start of her treatment. Those who have deliberately degenerated the public health system to line the pockets of every megalomaniac, who have made a profession of economic repression through administrative fines in every aspect of daily life, are deploying every weapon to neutralize the social base in the face of their profits. This will not go away. Filled with hatred and anger for the state’s negligence and the authoritarianism of the voracious state totalitarianism, we take responsibility for the arson attack with low-powered devices on the premises of the Fifth Tax Office in eastern Thessaloniki, in the early hours of 17 September. Konstantia and every Konstantia is not alone in the struggle for life and dignity. And this struggle is not a struggle of begging for crumbs but a relentless fight for the obvious. For we have no one but ourselves.

This is not the first time that social and class solidarity has been suppressed, as every step of support from below is always met with the deliberate bureaucratic negligence of a mechanism that prioritises profits over our lives. Let us recall the case of the 3-year-old Panagiotis Vassileli from Mytilene in 2001. Little Panayiotis was suffering from a rare form of leukaemia, which required his immediate transfer to New York to undergo surgery and treatment at a cost of over 130,000,000 drachmas. And while the amount had been raised through a huge effort of social and class mobilization, the National Bank blocked the account, citing a 1931 law that freezes the money unless a fund-raising committee is first established. The result of this development was the death of little Panagiotis who recoiled in the face of the bureaucratic apathy of the dictatorship of financial totalitarianism. Our attack on the Fifth Tax Office is a first warning in every direction: open Konstantia’s account immediately, before you gather your ashes in the face of yet another state murder. If Konstantia’s health suffers a new relapse, the sole responsibility this time will be the incurable disease of state totalitarianism. We have no illusions about the inflated promises of the political staff and the tearful statements of support from the media circles that wash away the image of state crime when a complaint sees the light of day. With faith and commitment to the forces of our own class, we are fighting this unequal struggle against all forms of exploitation and power. And if we die, we die with our heads held high and full of dignity. We send a special message of practical solidarity to Konstantia Zafeiropoulou: this battle is ours too, until the end, until victory.

Immediate unblocking of Konstantia Zafeiropoulou’s account

Exemplary punishment of those responsible for the power games on her life

Free access to health care must be a non-negotiable social good

Volos, Greece: We have not forgotton those who left at the hands of the state

Posted on 2021/09/20 - 2021/09/20 by darknights

Eight years have passed since the day the Golden Dawn nazi murderers killed Fissas. But fascism is still out there and lurking. It is still pressing on supposed ignorance and poverty. Always with the system and capitalism as its ally. In the current situation with the pandemic and the criminal management by those in power, the fascist groups are back on the streets, amidst fermentations that are taking place in the nationalist area. The struggle against fascism is a struggle against fear.

Anarchists are not asking for victories or defeats against the fascists through the civil courts. Fascism is being crushed in our everyday life, in the squares and in the streets.

FOR A WORLD WITHOUT EXPLOITATION, BUT OF SOLIDARITY AND FREEDOM

AND THIS YEAR WE WILL BE IN THE STREETS TO HONOUR PAVLOS

Berlin, Germany: Molotov cocktail attack on police station in Tiergarten district

Posted on 2021/09/20 - 2021/09/20 by darknights

Some see an injustice in the institutions of the executive. Here, the officers hit a left-wing sit-in too hard in order to allow a right-wing march to pass, there they would act too gently against lateral thinkers, migrants would be deported to “unsafe” countries of origin, and if an officer’s trigger leads to death, he should be brought to court for his irregular actions, since he must have acted out of personal rather than professional motivation.

It is this attitude that sees the police as a more or less neutral hinge between rebellious forces in society and those who strive to live in a peaceful, democratic and tolerant agreement. It is this attitude that imagines itself morally on the side of the good and innocent and ignores structural differences and privileges, which could be the reason why the cudgel is rarely aimed at their heads. This attitude leads to the abstruse reproach to the police squad: “Where were you in Hanau?”. This attitude represents a distrust of the individual, who could not live in a society with others without authority and the threat of repression. It is this attitude that makes you wonder if you won’t dial 110 in an emergency? It is this attitude that makes the narrative of the individual case possible.
It is this attitude that asserts that violence against the police is violence against people like you and me. This attitude allows the uniform or badge to be seen as a garment, an occupational utensil, rather than a globally legitimized expression of a function.

Cops all over the world have the function to detect the smallest rebellion against the system of capital, against the system of patriarchy, to press it into the logic of criminal law (i.e. to present it as non-political), to discredit it and to appropriate it. In the struggle for interpretive sovereignty, their goal is to control and crush this rebellion, with visible or subtle violence, depending on the balance of power and the form of government.
In this sense, the system of subjugating every element of our lives to the standard of norming and hierarchization according to property, body, religion, gender, origin, and attitude that prevails everywhere is manifested.
Their use cannot be judged in the categories of unjust or unjustified. The institutionalization of the police has never been about justice. The police are a system of domination and any narrative of humanity behind the uniform serves only to obscure social conditions. Genoa, Italy: News of the special surveillance against a comrade

Posted on 2021/09/20 - 2021/09/21 by darknights

The decision of the court regarding the appeal against the special surveillance measure against a comrade from Genoa was made in August; the request that this measure, applied with all possible restrictions, be removed from her was rejected and it was clear that, although the accusation of terrorism, the pillar of the accusatory hypothesis, was dropped, the special surveillance measure was maintained in its entirety for the same reasons, that is, her “adherence to anarchist ideology”, her “manifest expressions of solidarity with the militants of the Informal Anarchist Federation”, her “support for the detained anarchists”, her “incitement to direct action”, and her dissemination of counter-information material.

Still in August, always on the initiative of the Prosecutor’s Office of Genoa, other measures were arranged, as a corollary of the surveillance, aiming to limit even more her freedom, affecting her in the sphere of her affective relationships, since they add new constraints and new difficulties to the authorization, finally obtained after 7 months of waiting, to go and visit her family, which is domiciled outside the city of Genoa, that the companion has no right to leave. Moreover, her driving license was seized, with the absurd pretext that its possession could help her to commit crimes.
It is always the same refrain that continues to impose itself, a statement as monotonous as a broken record: the companion is an anarchist, therefore she is dangerous and this is confirmed by the fact that she is under investigation as an anarchist. In this way one could go on and on.

In this time of experimentation with instruments of social control extended to large parts of the population, anarchists have already gained a lot of experience in this matter and, for a long time, they have unmasked the lies of the narrative about the rights and freedom that one could have access to in civil and democratic society, if one gives in exchange obedience, delegation and legitimacy: it is quite obvious that the consequences of adhering to the social contract are mainly in favor of a few and to the detriment of the many.
The context may change, but the authoritarian drift of this time is not something new, it is the perfection of those instruments of social control that we already know, that is why the basic principles of the anarchist idea are still valid and they show the way: to preserve the value of the individual choice, to keep alive the spark of the criticism, to refuse the concertation with public institutions, of any level, to refuse the political representation of the movements and of the conflict, not to bend to the needs of the political realism.
We do not reaffirm them for sterile sectarianism, but because they are instruments of struggle that have supported thought and action, in the streets or elsewhere, en masse or in small numbers, facing, through theory and practice, the many, detestable scum that this dirty era throws back in our faces: the commodification of our lives, the plundering of the natural environment, the increasingly invasive authority and social control, the discriminations, the state violence, the surge of the logic of profit, which ravages humanity in a spiral of war, misery and slavery. $hile: Facing a new September 11. Words from comrades Luis and Ignacio from the Rancagua Prison

Posted on 2021/09/20 - 2021/09/20 by darknights

Luis and Ignacio Avaca Mansilla, are comrades arrested in May 2021 accused of sending a parcel bomb to the police station in Talca, an action claimed by “faceless entities, nothing and nobody that you know”.

Facing a new commemoration of September 11:

Let the best commemoration be actions!!!

(I): Memory and action.

This date is loaded with a historical meaning that many share, and, even if it is mainly the democratic left that seems to feel more appealed by this event, the anti-authoritarians and anti-capitalists who dissociate ourselves from that position have been able to commemorate it as well.

We ourselves remember it by ” mobilizing ourselves ” on the occasion. And it is undeniable that, for the current development of the confrontation, we have to take into account, critically, the previous experiences of struggle.

September 11 evokes this. Apart from what exactly happened on that day, it reminds us of the difficult times that were inaugurated, of the diverse expressions and experiences of resistance to the dictatorship, of those who came before us: guerrillas, prisoners, the fallen, the tortured ….. And of the irreducible struggle that continued during the democracy, of which we are participants together with all the prisoners at war.

Against the complicit oblivion and indifference with this social order, we exercise our memory, an offensive memory that does not drown in labels, but gathers all the historical tradition of conflict exercised in this territory, in dictatorship or in democracy.

We do not forget, much less forgive, and that is what is manifested in each attack against authority, its accomplices and its executioners. Continue reading “$hile: Facing a new September 11. Words from comrades Luis and Ignacio from the Rancagua Prison” →

Italy – I could but I don’t want to

Translated by act for freedom now!

——————–

I could but I don’t want to

I could convince myself that all nuclear power plants are reliable. But I don’t want to. I still keep Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Chernobyl, Fukushima in mind… As the earth becomes contaminated for ever, the usual characters in power tell us that there is nothing else to be done.

I could consider wars as something necessary to defeat enemies that seem invincible. But I don’t want to. All the deaths caused by conflicts between the States have only strengthened their domination on individuals through genocides, massacres and famines.

I could brood over freedom of choice. But I don’t want to. In the world of progress for the rich and regression for the poor, what is called freedom of choice would be more appropriately called freedom to consume as much as possible it seems to me. Besançon (Doubs), France: It’s not just their techno-surveillance tools in our lives, it’s the lice too

Posted on 2021/09/20 - 2021/09/20 by darknights

Source: Indymedia Lille, 15 September 2021

As 5G is deployed, the fight against this controlling society continues apace. Attacks against telecommunication antennas or companies involved in them also continue: in France, more than a hundred sabotage actions have been carried out since March 2020. Enough to piss off this capitalist society and the state that protects it. The repressive wave knows no truce, and the cops use all the technological surveillance tools at their disposal to try to repress and stifle any hint of revolt.

Since last year, about thirty people have been raided, indicted or imprisoned for sabotaging cell towers. This is the case of Boris, a fellow anarchist who was sent to prison in Nancy in September 2020 for burning two of them in Jura, and is now in the hospital following a fire in his cell. In a letter written from prison, he mentions the devices used by the cops and gendarmes to spy on his daily life during the investigation: imsi catcher suitcases, cameras in front of a home, GPS under the cars of people close to him, live listening and geolocation, GIGN undercovers (from Versailles) following him around and staged in hideouts, requests for placing microphones in a home and in the wall of a park where he regularly met friends, discreet seizures of beer bottles left in public spaces,…

In Besançon, a few months after Boris’ imprisonment, at least two people have been approached by the cops since the beginning of 2021. If we don’t know what happened to the first one, the second one has been approached several times. A classic move; blackmail for papers combined with, as is often the case, isolation, precariousness, possible legal problems, or simply the fact that these people gravitate towards the periphery of anarchist militant circles.

It all starts with a first meeting: they are offered a job, money or accommodation in exchange for information. They are told that they will be able to speed up their administrative procedures, and that they will be slowed down if they refuse. Under pressure, this person thus put his finger in the gears and agreed to go to regular meetings with plainclothes cops in a park near the police station.

His missions were the following, while the investigation against Boris was not closed and he was still under investigation for “criminal association”:

– To participate in collecting information about people designated as close to him, to locate the relationships between them and to identify vulnerabilities/pressure tactics, to be on the lookout for future actions of support/solidarity.

– going to militant places and events (outdoor struggle assemblies, canteens) to identify the presence of particular anarchists, understand the links between groups and individuals in the same city, identify political connections between different cities.

– identify certain profiles and attitudes: potential saboteurs, people who are more vehement or charismatic than others (in their own image, the cops are always looking for a leader!)

This kind of situation is very disturbing and cannot be ignored. The manipulation of cops has no limits, and the use of informants has always been part of their methods to map subversive and anarchist networks and try to glean sensitive information.

We can’t say it often enough: it’s useless to think you’re a double agent, it would be known by now if it worked. Talking to the cops is playing their game and exposing yourself to further pressure. Talking to them means informing them, even in a harmless way, for example by divulging details that are not meant for them. Talking to them means putting others at risk.

To talk to them is to collaborate. To talk to them is to betray those close to you and to lose any bond of trust while ruining your militant life.

The eyes and ears of the state will never cease to intrude into our intimate and political lives, with technology as well as with human intelligence.

In the face of this, let’s be careful everywhere and all the time without becoming paranoid, by finding ways to build and deepen relationships of trust and affinity, while learning in general not to speak lightly, including among ourselves.

Anarchists from Besançon,

September 2021
