Athens, Greece: Arson Attack on the Home of the Snitch Dean of NTUA and a Riot Police Officer

In the early hours of March 25, we attacked with an incendiary device the building where the dean of the NTUA, Panagiotis Tsanakas, as well as a riot police officer, live in the area of Zografou. Our research on the chief snitch of the academic rabble of the Polytechnic brought us in front of a simultaneously special but poetically explainable coincidence. A snitch and a cop work and live together, a touching image to say the least.

Tsanakas is not simply the tsuchiki [contemptuous address for a person we consider vile and insignificant] of Hadjigeorgiou (rector of NTUA) but as the culmination of his “academic” work he has shamelessly handed over to the police a student who was writing slogans in favor of the Palestinian people on the school grounds. However, he has a deeper and more essential role in Hadjigeorgiou’s police-held monstrosity, of a rectory that allows/imposes the daily presence and the scolding of cops on campus in full compliance and obedience to the dictates of the ND doctrine for absolute control and essentially the necrosis of student and subversive struggles on university campuses. A rectorate that we have lost count of how many times has ordered the invasion of the repressive forces on the university grounds, with a particular “sensitivity” when it comes to those in solidarity with the struggle of the Palestinian people.

Of course, Hadjigeorgiou has an additional reason to fervently desire the presence of cops on the NTUA grounds beyond serving the government’s planning. He uses them as doormen and henchmen who guard the “shop” that he has built in future collaborations on NATO programs and Jewish arms industries. Just the day after the attack, we read that a way has been found through opaque procedures and individual opinions of legal advisors to declare unconstitutional (!) Article 2 of the Funding and Management Guide of the Special Research Funds Account (ELKE), which concerns the NTUA and explicitly states “…The history of the NTUA is connected to struggles for freedom and peace. For this reason, the NTUA is not allowed to conduct or participate in research for war purposes of any kind, with the exception of research for the country’s defense needs, and no research funded by international military coalitions is undertaken.” Let us recall that the above constitutes a conquest of the anti-war movement of the era of the bombing of Yugoslavia by NATO forces in 1999. Of course, as early as October 2023, in the midst of the genocide of the Palestinians of Gaza by the Israeli army, with the signatures of Hadjigeorgiou and Dean Panagiotis Tsanakas, a memorandum of cooperation between the NTUA and Intracom Telecom was signed. It is therefore obvious (unless you are a lobotomist) that the results of the university’s research in this collaboration are channeled to 2 subsidiaries of Intracom Telecom, Intracom Defense and Intracom Aviator, which actively cooperate with the Israeli army and its genocidal activities in the wider Middle East. In March, none of us shall die (March 2010, Daphne – Lambros Fountas, an anarchist guerrilla who fell in a clash with cops) – (March 2026, outskirts of Rome – Sara Ardizone and Sandro Mercoliano, anarchist comrades who were killed by an explosion)

In October, none of us shall die (October 2024, Ampelokipi, Athens – Kyriakos Xymitiris, anarchist guerrilla killed by explosion)

In May, none of us shall die (May 2025, Thessaloniki – Snizanna Paraskevaidou, fell in an explosion during an attack on a bank)

And the story continues like this. Through the battles of our own people, simple, everyday. Like Lambros, like Kyriakos, like Snizanna, like Sandro and Sara and so many more people who lost their lives in direct action.With determination, with our own rage and memory, we took to the streets at dawn on March 10, the date that the anarchist revolutionary guerrilla Lambros Fountas fell fighting under fire from cops in Daphne 16 years ago and we attacked a cop’s house in Kaisariani with an incendiary device.

We have every reason to target the state’s scumbags who act as security guards for the bosses and the ruling elite. With this move, we want to remind them and all cops that we will not leave their activity unpunished. They are the ones who target fighters, violently attack demonstrators, torture and murder people in cop stations, at borders, as well as people from the impoverished margins and our own class. Let them remember and know that we can also locate them in their homes, in their neighbourhoods, in their jobs and that they are not really safe anywhere in making this choice to serve the system.

It is a fact that the state invests in order and security by strengthening policing at every level of central government. In this way, it prevents any resistance from below on behalf of capital as much as possible, while at the same time strengthening military-police capital through funds for security forces and armament programs. This is a phenomenon that is parallel in relation to the international geopolitical situation. As the war intensifies abroad (Middle East, Ukraine) and the Greek state participates in it through the Greek-Israeli-American alliance, NATO and the EU, so does the repression at home. Cops of all kinds are positioned to control our lives. The same applies to every field of public space from universities to neighbourhoods, squares and other natural sites (see Exarchia Square, Strefi Hill).

So, let fear change sides then. No matter how much the complicit and regime-based mass deception media cover you up by hiding our actions, we know the anxiety that these visits to your homes cause you. If you don’t pack up, we will come again. Our lives are not expendable. We want to show that you are the terrorists and dangerous to the public interest, not us who return the minimum percentage of your share of violence.

We express our solidarity with the Palestinian people who are fighting for their lives. Let us intensify the anti-war action against the war crimes occurring in Palestine, Lebanon and Iran by the Western bloc. We will not become meat for the murderers’ cannons because the local leaders, with Mitsotakis and Dendias as the first and best, rushed to ally with Netanyahu and Trump.

The choice to connect these contents through action on the day of remembrance of the anarchist guerrilla Lambros Fountas constitutes a connecting link between memory, action and continuity.

Czech Rep: This book is not evidence

I have finally been acquitted of several criminal charges brought against me by the police on the basis of dubious speculation. The acquittal ruling states:

“(…) the court finds that no evidence was presented that would lead to the identification of the perpetrator, and thus to the proof of the defendant’s guilt. The defendant’s guilt has not been proven beyond a reasonable doubt, as required by Section 2(5) of the Criminal Procedure Code. These doubts are fundamental, logical, and insurmountable, as the expert opinions confirmed that the perpetrator cannot be identified by any scientific method.”

What made this court case unusual was that the prosecutor tried to use my book “Tato kniha není (z)boží” (This Book Is Not a Commodity) against me However, the court ultimately ruled that this book does not constitute evidence.

The JUDGMENT IN THE NAME OF THE REPUBLIC states:

“During the presentation of evidence, it became apparent that some of the materials included in the criminal case file by the police, the prosecutor, and subsequently the appellate court are clearly unrelated to the offense in question or to the identity of the defendant. This concerns, in particular, certain publications, ideological texts, or other documents whose only common feature is that they could be linked to the defendant and his views. However, according to the trial court, these materials are not criminally relevant. They do not prove any specific intent, any connection to the act committed, nor do they relate to the objective aspect of the act under consideration. Their content is merely of a general political or critical nature, is not directed at any specific individual, and has no connection to the proceedings at hand. The court therefore finds that the aforementioned materials in the case file have no place in the evidentiary proceedings within these criminal proceedings. They are not forensic evidence, they are not circumstantial evidence, and they cannot serve as supporting arguments for inferring the perpetrator’s ideological profile. As the Constitutional Court has repeatedly ruled, criminal proceedings are not a tool for assessing an individual’s personality traits or political views, and such materials certainly cannot serve as a basis for a finding of guilt or a decision on guilt.” Continue reading “Czech Rep: This book is not evidence” →

Hello comrades, warm greetings from Bandung to Bristol.

We introduce ourselves as prisoners from what is known as the “Chaos Star.” This correspondence carries fragments of memory from years marked by chaos, surveillance, and arrests. We send this message from behind the bars of a prison in—so called—Indonesia. We are currently serving sentences related to the August 2025 unrest, the pipe bomb attack on a police post in December 2024, and the destruction of Bank Hana during the anti–TNI Bill protests in March and May Day 2025.

The unrest last August became the largest manhunt against activists and anarchists since 1998. This year, 703 political prisoners—although we reject that label—are still undergoing legal processes or are detained. We prefer to be called Anarchist Prisoners rather than Political Prisoners. This is an issue we want to critique. The label “political prisoner” places us within certain relations of power: we are framed as symbols of resistance, victims or survivors of a regime, or tools for legitimizing particular political agendas. Instead, we are Anarchist Prisoners. We reject the very foundation of politics itself. Our emphasis is on the autonomy of the subject and individual disobedience, without serving any project or representation tied to political agendas. By using the label Anarchist Prisoners, we assert a distance from the language of power and maintain a position outside the political field that seeks to regulate, define, and justify everything. Our ability to speak and communicate does not allow us to venture down the unbeaten paths of personal accountability for the risks we take. Any discussion along these lines remains inevitably tentative and inadequate. To truly seek freedom — in its authentic and complete form, not in the counterfeit versions bestowed and imposed by the state — means entering into the realm of risk inherent in the quest itself. In this realm, our choices — often wild and solitary — carve out a path of no return. Freedom is a quality that is experienced by putting oneself at risk.

We say this without resorting to any rhetorical indulgence: the two anarchists found dead after the collapse of a farmhouse in Rome, Sara Ardizzone and Alessandro Mercogliano, are our close comrades, we are proud to have them as our comrades. The paid hacks, from whose trashy paper we learned of the incident, write about the detonation of an explosive artefact. The attempts to distance oneself, always aimed at ensuring a shameful sense of security, do not belong to us. We are used to never believe what is uttered by the propaganda machine, but if there is a glimmer of truth about the “leaked” information we cannot fail to dwell on the fundamental fact: Sara and Sandro died in action, died in the battle. Social war is not a stunt, a life style or a subculture. It is, first and foremost, a war. Sara and Sandro are a shining example of the inseparable bond between thought and deed which inspires the anarchism, revolutionaries until the very last moment of their lives, and in death. Bristol, UK: Transcript of a talk by anarchist comrade Toby Shone at BASE for International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners, August 2025

This is the rough transcript of Toby‘s talk at the solidarity event for anarchist prisoners on August 31st, 2025, at BASE social centre in Easton, Bristol, UK.

Hi everyone

Welcome to BASE social centre, I’m Toby Shone, I’m an anarchist ex-prisoner from the Forest of Dean. I was in the Operation Adream case, which was a co-ordinated international police operation which involved British, Dutch and German police, at least, we could say. I spent three years in various prisons in UK, mostly under 23 hour lockdown in conditions of solitary confinement. I also had 9 months in a secure bail hostel under anti-terrorist restrictions, and 3 months of bail conditions where I had to sign every day at a police station in the Forest.

I want to thank BASE for giving me this opportunity to talk. I’m not going to talk at length. And I want to properly thank all the comrades in Bristol who supported me during my imprisonment. The last time I was here for the International Week of Solidarity event, which was in 2023, I was out on license. As you probably know, the Counter-Terror Police South West had a surveillance team outside, and this event was a major reason cited by the National Security Division for my subsequent abduction back to prison. I have the surveillance report here from the police, so you can see the material on BASE, see the angle where the police took the surveillance photograph from, and see how the Counter-Terror Police South-West regard us. So it gives me great pleasure to be here with you all, to remember our prisoners and write them letters, to eat and exchange with everyone. It has a lot of meaning for me to be here and speak to you. Rome, Italy: Two anarchist comrades slain during apparent explosive accident

20.3.26: Two anarchist comrades, Alessandro Mercogliano and Sara Ardizzone, died yesterday in Rome apparently due to handling and managing explosives in a cottage in the Acquedotti park area. So far there is only mainstream news with the terror lust of the security services where they speculate like ghouls on the lives on the comrades. Postulating theories which mention the usual phrases like “known to the authorities” and casually blame the circle of “Cospito’s group”. It can surely be predicted that there will be a further scavenge by the media and police in tandem at the behest of the Meloni regime, for the “friends and accomplices” of our slain comrades. Alessandro Marcogliano had previous been convicted and sentenced to five years in prison in 2016, accused of participation in the armed group FAI-FRI.

Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the fallen comrades, never a moment of peace for the enemy. Our lives burn with the passion of a thousand suns.

Indonesia: Paramilitaries attempt to murder comrade Andrie Yunus – Statement from the Persaudaraan Pekerja Anarko-Sindikalis (PPAS-IWA)

Persaudaraan Pekerja Anarko-Sindikalis, part of the International Workers’ Association (PPAS-IWA), strongly condemns the attempted murder of Andrie Yunus, a human rights activist and Deputy Coordinator of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS). On the night of 12 March 2026, Andrie Yunus was attacked with acid, resulting in burns covering 24% of his body—including his eyes and face especially the right side, chest, and both hands. This act cannot be dismissed as an accident alone, as it was carried out in an organized and planned manner; targeting vital body parts; using tools that are not easily obtained and crucially: and most importantly, preceded by terror and stalking since the previous days.

Andrie Yunus is a worker who has dedicated his life to public interest advocacy and defending victims of human rights violations and state violence who lack access to legal services. Throughout this work, he has consistently called out the State—whose operations are rife with violence, exploitation, corrupt practices, and subservience to the interests of capitalists.

The acid attack on Andrie Yunus occurred immediately after he recorded a podcast on remilitarization and the judicial review of the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) Law. Approximately one year prior, he had forced his way into a meeting room at a luxury hotel where political elites were preparing to pass the same TNI Law—legislation that was later opposed by many groups for weakening the position of civilians in the limited job market.
