Concerns Grow Over Whether the Prairieland Defendants Can Receive a Fair Trial, Based on Severe Trial Restrictions, Prejudicial Statements at Highest Levels of Government—Press Conference Monday at 8am
FORT WORTH, TX – Nine defendants will proceed to federal trial on Monday in a widely watched case that stems from a July 4, 2025 noise demonstration in support of detained immigrants at the Prairieland ICE Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas. Following a mistrial declared last week by presiding U.S. District Court Judge Mark Pittman for a defense attorney’s attire featuring civil rights leaders, jury selection is scheduled to begin again on Monday, February 23. The trial is expected to last at least three weeks. Defendants Savanna Batten, Zachary Evetts, Autumn Hill, Meagan Morris, Maricela Rueda, Daniel “Des” Rolando Sanchez Estrada, Benjamin “Champagne” Song, Elizabeth Soto, and Ines Soto were indicted in November on a variety of charges including riot, discharging a firearm, attempted murder, material support for terrorism, and conspiracy to conceal documents.

A press conference will be held at the southeast corner of Burke Burnett Park, across the street from the courthouse, on Monday, February 23 at 8am.

Posted on 2026/02/23 by darknights

Monday, February 23, 2026 – The anarchist prisoners from the Bandung cluster of political expression hunting have undergone their verdict reading session at the Bandung District Court. Adit and Naufal were found guilty and sentenced to two years in prison, with time served deducted from their sentence. Meanwhile, Rhexcy, Jalus, Tebe, and Jihar were also found guilty, receiving a sentence of one year and four months, with time served deducted.

Now, six comrades from the Chaos Star Case have completed the lengthy trial process, and there are still several more anarchist comrades from the Chaos Star Case awaiting their trials, following in the footsteps of these six comrades.

Rome, Italy: Claim of responsibility for sabotaging the railway line against the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics

Claim of responsibility for sabotaging the railway line against the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics (Rome, 13 February 2026)

Rome – Claim of responsibility for sabotaging the railway line against the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics

Fire to the Olympics! No travelling today!

On the night of the 13th February, at various points and railway junctions, we set fire to and damaged the cables along the tracks, effectively blocking several high-speed lines.
These actions are our contribution to the warm welcome and best wishes for this edition of the Winter Olympic Games.

We participated in massive road and port blockades during the months of mobilisation for Palestine, we invaded stations and attacked the police whenever possible. But today we chose to act under the cover of moonlight, in a small group united by affinity and the desire to live up to the slogans shouted in recent months: let’s block everything!
Because we believe that, in addition to participating in large mobilisations and the conflict they can generate, it is necessary to spread autonomous action, so as not to let them be defused, recuperated and directed by the professionals of “militant” politics.

The powers that be are preparing for war, and we anarchists, revolutionaries and conscious individuals would like to do the same. The railway infrastructure is a key hub for the movement of military forces and materials, and the agreement between RFI and Leonardo, aimed at implementing military logistics on the peninsula, is the clearest example of this. Attacking RFI is therefore a concrete act of anti-militarism and a gesture of solidarity with all those who today suffer the atrocities of war and colonialism.

The Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics are no exception: rivers of money fueling construction speculation, happy to arm rivers of concrete to build disposable facilities and change the social “intended use” of entire working-class neighbourhoods. A big business that, behind the glossy and prestigious image of the major sporting event, hides hectares of larch forests razed to the ground to make way for ski slopes and mountains irreversibly disfigured by the associated ski lifts.

Finally, this action expresses our anger at the presence at the Games of ICE agents, the anti-immigrant squads now sadly notorious for murders, round-ups, abuse and violence perpetrated against undesirables and internal opponents in the United States, which reminds us that every police force and every fascist group is there to be used against its own population when “reasons of state” require it.

Only a few ingredients are needed to take action against the world of exploitation, oppression and devastation: a little study, caution and determination in equal measure, a few accomplices, a few litres of fuel… and anything is possible! Good luck!

Athens, Greece: Intervention at the offices of “Efimerida ton Syntakton” (EFSYN)

Posted on 2026/02/22 by darknights

This text was published in the course of an intervention at EFSYN in Athens, Greece and translated by the Berlin Assembly in memory of Kyriakos Xymitiris and in solidarity with the persecuted in the Ambelokipi-case.

We are intervening at EFSYN’ in order to publicize the following texts. This intervention follows our presence and the distribution of these texts in the area of Ampelokipi and on Arkadias Street in order to show our solidarity with the residents of the apartment building.

At the same time, we went to the spot where our comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris lost his life.

TEXT FOR THE APARTMENT BUILDING ON ARKADIAS STREET

On 31/10/24, my comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris and I were in the apartment at 4-8 Arkadias Street. During the processing of explosive materials, an explosion occurred that took the life of my 36-year-old comrade, caused my own very serious injury, and resulted in damage to the apartment building. Since then, I have been detained in Korydallos women’s prison under horrendous conditions, having to confront the loss of the person closest to me, my own injury, and very serious accusations.

This explosion obviously was not part of any plan, nor did it happen due to carelessness. This tragic development was the consequence of defective material, something that unfortunately could not be foreseen.

The anarchist political space to which we both belong fights for a world of equality, solidarity, and self-organization. For a world where monthly survival does not cause anxiety, where interpersonal relationships are not based on competition, and where a life in dignity is not a matter of luck. And when this anarchist political space chooses to attack those who impose poverty, exclusion, and insecurity with such means, it takes all necessary measures, often putting the acting subjects themselves at risk, in order to ensure the safety of unrelated people.

Beyond protecting people’s physical integrity, our political spectrum targets those who oppress and exploit us. It sets its sights on the powerful of this world. Those who eat with golden spoons while we make do with the absolute necessities, those who live off rents while we beg that there not be yet another increase, those who reap profit while we work twelve-hour a day. Those who spread death through wars, misery through high prices, fear through racism, extermination through long and uninsured labor. Those who impose uncertainty, insecurity, danger even when you simply take the night train to Thessaloniki or try to cross the border for a life with dignity.

We struggle so that all of this does not remain unanswered. To win back the right to live. To put a stop to injustice, exploitation, oppression, cover-ups. Within this struggle we risk much, we are targeted, we receive violence and repression, we endanger our safety, our freedom, and sometimes even our lives. Not because we are indifferent to life, but because we care about the life of our struggle and then we feel responsible for many people. Thus, we consciously set social solidarity as a priority.

My comrade adopted this stance in life, and that is why he decided to struggle with all means. And if he was still here, he would be the first to try to help the residents of the apartment building, not because he would regret the means he chose to struggle with, but because for him, as for all of us, solidarity and mutual aid are a deeply human feeling, a driving force that pushes us to action.

“We are not terrorists, nor criminals. It is precisely because of our love for life, because we rejoice in the human spirit, that we became fighters for freedom against this racist and deadly imperialist system.”

Germany: HAMBI (RE)BUILDING DAYS

Posted on 2026/02/20 - 2026/02/20 by darknights

The megamachine must expand constantly or else collapse. So it came to be that the Hambacher Forest, already a leftover from a much vaster ancient woodland, was almost completely destroyed by the expansion of a huge coalmine, the largest in Europe. Only a small portion of the habitat was spared, owing to fierce resistance centred around numerous occupations of the forest, starting in 2012.

The Hambi has been a focal point for anti-capitalist and radical ecological struggle in Europe. The autonomous zone opened up here is comparable in size to the ZAD of Notre-Dame-des-Landes and Exarcheia in Athens. Hambi also served as a key predecessor for many other land struggles in Germany alone, of which Lützerath and the Dannenröder Wald are but the two best known examples.

All the sites of resistance explicitly mentioned here, however, have since been evicted. Yet Hambi remains autonomous to this day, a lawless place where we can do what we want. Rather than being crushed outright, Hambi has mostly been forgotten about – both by comrades and broader society – since the supposed coal-exit was announced. It would be a strange conclusion for this struggle to wither into irrelevance.

The Hambi was never “saved”. Instead of being logged directly, it was sentenced to the slow-death of having its ground water stolen by a toxic pit which continues to expand. There are plans to further exploit the region by turning it into an eco-yuppie tourist resort, complete with a yacht harbour. And in times of militarisation and increased resource scarcity, the state is only an election away from forgetting about the coal-exit and finishing off what remains of the woodland. Trento, Italy: Claim of damage to the headquarters of AXA Insurance

Claim of damage to the headquarters of AXA Insurance (Trento, 16 February 2026)

AXA = GENOCIDE

During the night between Sunday 15 and Monday 16 February, under cover of darkness, we damaged the headquarters of AXA Insurance in Trento.
AXA derives enormous profits from the ongoing genocide in the occupied territories of Palestine, as it directly invests more than €170 million each year in companies that produce weapons, a large portion of which also deal in white phosphorus and depleted uranium weapons. Essentially, it contributes to supplying weapons of mass destruction to an army of fanatical Zionist murderers led by an unscrupulous colonialist elite. What could possibly go wrong?
A month ago, we learned of the sentencing of our comrade Juan to five years in prison for a terrorist attack (280bis) against the POLGAI police academy in Brescia, a school that also trained the Zionist militias who are now applying to Palestinians what they learned in Italy. Just one day later, Anan Yaesh, a Palestinian partisan detained in Italy on Israeli orders, was sentenced to five years and six months, also for terrorism, on charges of organising the Tulkarem self-defence brigades, a Palestinian resistance group formed in the same refugee camp.
In a spiral of internal war that the state wages against the proletariat, even more so if they fight for freedom, our task remains to identify the enemy in our own house and act accordingly. Even more so when the racist and murderous ICE militia peeks into our “home”, welcomed with open arms by all those incompetents who hide behind the issue of remigration.
We also report the victory of the British group Palestine Action which, despite having around thirty members in prison on the usual charges of terrorism, managed, with more than 50 days of collective hunger strike, to terminate a deal worth more than a billion euros between the Israeli military giant Elbit and the British government. Various prisoners joined their hunger strike in solidarity, including our comrade Stecco, a prisoner of the state in Sanremo prison.

Freedom for Anan, Juan, Stecco and Palestine Action.
Freedom for Palestine and for all the oppressed people of the world.
Until next time, who knows…

Italy: Statements by Anna Beniamino, from Rebibbia prison, and Juan Sorroche, from Terni prison, and greetings from Action for Palestine Ireland on the occasion of the “Sabotage the War and Repression” initiatives on February 7 and 8 in Viterbo

Statements by Anna Beniamino, from Rebibbia prison, and Juan Sorroche, from Terni prison, and greetings from Action for Palestine Ireland on the occasion of the “Sabotage the War and Repression” initiatives on February 7 and 8 in Viterbo

Some contributions from inside and outside prisons for the initiatives
“Sabotage war and repression” on February 7 and 8 in Viterbo

On February 7, about 150 people took to the streets in Viterbo for a radical demonstration that showed how it is possible and necessary to link the issues of war and repression: with the resistance of the Palestinian people, against defeatism in Ukraine, against repression as an expression of war policies on the home front, against 41 bis as a war prison, and in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito. These issues were explored in greater depth the following day, again in the city of Viterbo, at a very rich militant conference. Here is the text announcing the two initiatives:
https://ilrovescio.info/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Sabotiamo-la-guerra-e-la-repressione-corretto-al-23.12.pdf

While waiting to publish further material as it becomes available, we are circulating letters from Anna and Juan from the prisons where they are being held as contributions to the conference on February 8. We are also publishing a greeting from Ireland, as partial testimony to the internationalist nature of the days of struggle and discussion on February 7 and 8.

Contribution by Anna Beniamino from section AS2 of the Rebibbia women’s prison (Rome) for the conference held on February 8 in Viterbo.

First of all, thank you for asking me to contribute to the conference on War and Repression. I will try, starting from the perspective that is, despite myself, clearer here: repression and the ‘local’ repercussions, in prisons, of global policies of war, economic austerity, and the militarization of society.
I am aware that there are no theoretical recipes or detailed, definitive analyses, but only a simple and solid certainty that any real, non-virtual struggle implies reaction and repression.
The problem is ‘only’ to take this into account, to be ready and not to be paralyzed by fear of it, to build solidarity and awareness of one’s own means and ends, with continuity and tenacity. Especially in these times when preventive repressive work is spreading across multiple levels, both covert and overt.
Starting in 2022, when Alfredo was transferred to 41 bis, I wrote several times about differentiated circuits and regimes as well as, long before that, inside and outside prison, about struggles and repression, in ordinary and “extraordinary” terms; I refer back to all this and to my latest notes for the Roman assembly against 41 bis.
Essentially, I believe that the discussion should be resumed… because it is never over, nor have the ethical assumptions that supported it fallen away, so as not to leave a well-established discussion unfinished, not to leave a comrade alone, not to waste an opportunity in which a single battle has shown how we can be together, “irredeemable” and positively recognizable outside the narrow area of the anarchist movement in its content, so as not to leave alone the comrades who are now facing the various trials connected with the mobilization, because credibility is also built on continuity and consistency, because the mask has been removed from one of the pillars of bipartisan rhetoric on “mafia and terrorism,” because the “fight against terrorism” is now a global smokescreen and the current context of militarized capitalism and blatant neocolonialism in the procurement of resources and the opening of trade routes lends itself well to the reception of an anti-authoritarian, anti-militarist message of solidarity among the oppressed. Revisiting Social Revolution in the Aftermath of 2020 (USA)

Posted on 2026/02/20 by darknights

“Our task as anarchists, our main preoccupation and greatest desire, is to see the social revolution come about: a terrible upheaval of men and institutions which finally succeeds in putting an end to exploitation and establishing the reign of justice.

For we anarchists the revolution is our guide, our constant point of reference, no matter what we are doing or what problem we are concerned with. The anarchy we want will not be possible without the painful revolutionary break. If we want to avoid turning this into no more than a dream we must struggle to destroy the State and the exploiters through revolution.”
–Alfredo Bonanno, Why Insurrection?

Few anarchists today have any speak of social revolution. Many laugh off or roll their eyes at the mention of it or worse, talk about realism and reform. The few who talk talk about it as if it were a religious desire or an otherworldly force. But what is social revolution, and what is anarchy without the social revolution? A desire, a goal, an over arching project of our entire lives – without it, what are we, what are we doing, and why?

The anarchist movements in the U.S. today are largely a reactive force, always waiting for another movement or uprising to come along to attach ourselves to. Emptying anarchy of its content, anarchists are content to be the militant auxiliary or informal organizational vanguard of social movements or simply sit back and look for forms of anarchy in other peoples and places so we can rest assured that anarchy is a latent impulse in all peoples, that we are less alone than we really are and that it’s a simple matter of time before everything falls into place. If I were to sum it up, I would say that there is a great confusion about what it means to be an anarchist and what it is anarchists aspire to.
