Responsibility claim for the burnt ballot box in Exarcheia

June 18, 2012

Responsibility claim for the burnt ballot box in Exarcheia, Athens on the night of the election of June 17th, 2012.

Everything around us seems to unwind in coercive binaries: memorandum/anti-memorandum, drachma/euro, fascism/anti-fascism. Perhaps even among our ranks it is necessary to take a position, to take a stance in this liminal conjuncture. Yet we don’t for a moment forget the only real binary: Revolution or consistency with the existent.

We refuse consensus, their dilemmas, social peace. Security concerns the profits of local and international capital; freedom concerns everyone else. The state and capital, the fascist and the banks are no invisible forces. They have names and addresses. They’d better begin to count down their days of plenty.

We look behind, in the past few years, at tough struggles. How can the barricades and the fires of February 12th fit in ballot boxes? How can the voices shouting “Enough!” fit in these boxes, voices raised by the few, the dignified proletarians at the times of wage fear and subordination? How can the struggles fit in those boxes, the struggles fought city after city, neighbourhood after neighbourhood, with the scum of GD? How can our brothers and sisters fit, those who are missing from our side, yet they are always next to us, even when in the cells of the regime?

At these liminal times, which have no space for reservations we attempt the unthinkable and we make the above ‘fit’. The 1000ml of petrol that we placed in the ballot box of the 18th polling station in Exarcheia at the June 17th elections are our 1000 votes, they are our 1000 challenges in an unpacifiable war.

The revolution first and always

P.S. A raised fist for the comrade Olga Oikonomidou*

Claim for expropriation and arson of polling boxes

07/07/2019

Our ears are ringing with the desperate calls from parties and other political actors to participate in the democratic electoral process. A small group of comrades were moved by the pathetic vote beggars and armed with determination, the will for direct action and our sledgehammers we participated in the democratic fiasco. We broke with the above the delegation regime that prevails as normality and formed our own terms of attack and sabotage in their celebration .

We therefore take responsibility for the invasion of the 33rd Athens polling station a few minutes before the end of the process, where we expropriated a ballot box. On our entry we frantically searched the police guarding the polling station, but as we found out while they were there they chose to play hide and seek (successfully, it is true). At the moment of our departure we left a gift of a (stolen by cops) tear gas canister to the deadbeat party clerks and the willing democratic garbage of the election committees. A few seconds later we consigned the inside of the ballot box to the only fate it deserves: fire.

This action is a warm welcome from our side to Kyriakos Mitsotakis and New Democracy, who have promised to finish us off. We are waiting for you…

*Olga Economidou was arrested on 14/03/2011, in Volos, along with another 4 CCF’s members, after a night raid by police’s special forces and Anti-terrorist squads at the house they where living. In December of 2014, she was sentened to 25 years in prison in the Fire Conspiracy Cells case.

She was previously tried for participating in street fights during the Polytehnio memorial demonstration, on 17/11/1998. She was prosecuted for “Volos case” (alleged bank robbery, while being dressed up like cops), for her involvement with explosives and guns, which were found on other people prosecuted for the same case (arrests in Pireus and Kallithea), for the 14 parcel bombs case, for the case concerning 250 attacks by CCF between 2008 and 2011, for the text in solidarity with Anarchist Squat Nadir (second eviction in October 2011) and for instigation concerning “Phoenix” project. She was also under investigation concerning “Ardire” case, which was launched on June 2012 by the Italian prosecuting authorities, which claim to have found and confiscated letters from her, in the houses of Italian comrades prosecuted for the case.

In 2016 she was sentenced to 115 years of prison together with 10 other members of CCF in the trial connected with the escape plan. Now released.

Thessaloniki, Greece: Responsibility claim for Parcel – Bomb to the President of the Court of Appeal Anastasia Anthopoulou by ‘Armed Response’

Posted on 2024/02/19 - 2024/02/19 by darknights

The work of the judicial officials is clearly aimed at torturing and impoverishing all prisoners and in general all those who unfortunately have to face their fate.

Judges, prosecutors, appellants, all together have for years created a closed group of torturers, of course with the help and complicity of the governments of the day.

Especially in recent years with the Mitsotakis government, they have been leading the country in the path of the junta and repression. The decisions made in the courtrooms and in their offices are clearly vindictive and inhumane for the people. The scum who bear the “title” of president, supreme court of appeal, etc., are the ones who give the orders to seize the homes of people with health problems, the elderly, and those facing financial crisis.

They are the ones who judge at will how long people will sit in prison, regardless of evidence and proof, because they only like to make vengeful decisions at their own so-called discretion and administer their own “justice”, without considering anyone or anything.

They think they are in a higher class of people and that they can play with everyone’s lives. Their direct connections to high level cops and politicians place them in a context of self-empowerment and corruption with no checks and balances from anyone. They sign and arrange laws for their corrupt “friends”, they give orders for surveillance of people for personal gain.

A huge chapter is about prisoners and the constant tightening of sentences, of course with some exceptions that only serve “their own”. Extensive sentences, the various provisions that are imposed overnight as it suits them, lead prisoners to the daily battle for survival in miserable conditions.

When it comes to people of their own clique, by cover-ups and short procedures, they are relieved of any responsibility. A typical example is the disaster in Tempe, where all the scum – responsible for the tragedy – continue their lives as normal. The then Transport Minister Karamanlis and his appointed minions, with the help of judges and prosecutors, have been absolved of all responsibility. The ‘famous’ friends of the Mitsotakis government, the rapists and pedophiles, Lignadis, Filippidis etc., are partially acquitted or are given the benefit of the doubt, so that they can continue their perverted work by being acquitted. On the contrary, for all those who do not belong to their debased rotten circle, the application of their laws transcends all vindictiveness. Athens, Greece: Claim for attack on house – offices of the company ERGOMAR of the well-known businessman Dimitris Marinelis by ‘Conspiracy Vengeance’

Posted on 2023/11/26 - 2023/11/26 by darknights

We take responsibility for the attack on the house – offices of the company ERGOMAR of the well-known businessman Dimitris Marinelis, at 12 Ious Street, in Kifissia.

The reason for the attack is to target the corrupt role of construction companies. It is a common secret that the cabal of politicians and big bosses, dividing state resources and European funds between them, thus embezzling large sums of money at the expense of the Greek people.

For years now, with direct assignments to their own minions, they manage to obtain huge sums of money – kickbacks with the well-known over-budgeting of projects and materials needed for their implementation. It is the construction companies that are responsible for many accidents at work – accidents, as in order to make as much profit as possible, they reduce the necessary safety measures for workers.

ERGOMAR of Dimitris Marinelis has undertaken the construction and maintenance of large state and private projects, cooperating with the largest companies in Europe and the country, such as AEGEAN, GERMANOS, COSMOTE, VODAFONE and many others.

Also, most important of all, is the company’s involvement with the fiasco of the Kalatrava roof, which, on the one hand, with its implementation, huge amounts of money went into the pockets and on the other hand, the amounts of money that were constantly granted for the maintenance of the roof, ended up in the well-organized party of corruption, since the maintenance was never done, thus putting thousands of people at risk.

Nothing is finished in the face of state and capitalist barbarism, we stand with fortitude and dignity against them.

Remember well that none of you will be immune and we can visit at any place and time we choose. By any means we choose.

You will not sleep soundly thinking that your scams will go unpunished.

P.S.: Regarding the mainstream sites that made constant references to the fascist garbage Konstantinos Bogdanos, journalist and former MP of the ridiculous Mitsotakis government, that 6 months ago he was staying in this area, we know very well where he was staying and where he is staying now ( besides, in the past he had received a visit in the afternoon hours, resulting in the burning of his vehicles ). When the time comes, we will visit him and not for property damage, but for actions befitting such scum.

Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for incendiary attack on a Volkswagen dealership

Posted on 2023/05/14 - 2023/05/17 by darknights

The future dystopia of a fully controlled life by smart cities, 5G, where your fridge communicates with your mobile phone or a street lamp, and supermarkets offer you everything you ask for in the (anti)social media is already here. Everything is increasingly connected and everything is being monitored. It’s a future where people will be controlled by the artificial intelligence of big capital – big data and machine learning. Whatever information capital collects is shared with the state. Technology means repression, blackmail and total social control.

At the same time, the ecological war for plutocratic resources called green energy is nothing but a new form of slavery on other continents, allowing Western capitalism to be as independent as possible from Russian gas or oil-producing countries. All this is another new great stage of capitalism – green capitalism. It is the exploitation of the climate crisis and biological extinction by capital and the state.

When the New Democracy government came to power, it began an unprecedented upgrade of the repressive apparatus in numbers and technical equipment. The cops are used as a solution to every “problem”: the pandemic, the universities, demonstrations and protests of all types, the gentrification of Athens. The cops are the number one remedy for everything.

All of the above are condensed in the memorandum of understanding between the government of the New Democracy and Volkswagen with the aim of turning Astypalaia into the first smart island, a laboratory that leads the inhabitants to become guinea pigs of the dystopian future. The contract began in September 2021, and aims to gradually replace the island’s conventional vehicles with electric ones. The project is being portrayed by the mainstream media as a technological leap that will benefit the environment and residents. In reality, of course, the memorandum of understanding is nothing more than another way of increasing profitability and repression at the expense of the natural environment and the inhabitants. VW will be able to test autonomous vehicles on the island on terms outside the strict EU legislation, gaining the upper hand against competition. At the same time there is talk of installing hundreds of wind turbines on the island, turning it into a hub for electricity generation and completely destroying the natural environment. Finally, one of the first moves of the project was the donation of electric vehicles from VW to the murderous assault battalions of the cops and the coast guard.

The cooperation between the bloodthirsty New Democracy government and VW is not unprecedented. VW has a long history of supporting fascist and oppressive regimes. From Nazi Germany in the 1930s, to the military dictatorships in Brazil and Argentina, to Franco’s Spain, VW has always been and continues to be at the forefront of capital profiting on top of harsh oppression.

For all these reasons, at dawn on May 10, we visited the VW dealership on Alexandras Avenue. Our intervention resulted in the destruction of several new electric vehicles and the destruction of the front of the dealership, without endangering passers-by or residents of the area. We consider it an integral part of anarchy to recognize those who profit on oppression, misery and exploitation and it is our duty to return the violence they cause.

We dedicate our action to the prisoners of the social war, Fotis, Iasona, Panos and Lambros, who are being prosecuted for the attack on the Piraeus traffic police.

Solidarity with our wounded comrades Boris and Serge from the militant ecological defence on the territories of the French state.

Solidarity to Mónica Caballero and Francisco Solar whose trial against them starts in a few days.

Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for the attack on the head of the Prison Control Inspectorate by Direct Action Cells – ‘Cell Katerina Goulioni’

Posted on 2023/04/28 - 2023/04/28 by darknights

The Direct Action Cells take responsibility for the attack with a low-powered incendiary/explosive device at the home of the head of the Inspection and Control Corps of the Detention Facilities and Deputy Prosecutor of Appeals Spyridoulas Presveias at 13 Solomou Street in the area of Glyfada, in the early hours of 1/4.

We are sending a clear message to prison prosecutors, prison wardens, prison officers, wardens, directors, social workers who choose to treat prisoners as second-class citizens. Who choose to play dirty political games on their backs. Who become agents of the Ministry of Civil Protection in order to advance themselves and their careers. Gather round because you will find us in front of you. The prosecutor we targeted is at the top of the institution responsible for the internal control of prisons and is directly responsible for all the injustices suffered by prisoners, especially after the passage of the new penal and new prison code.

Spyridoulas Presvias as the head of the Prison Inspection and Control Corps (ΣΕΕΚΚ) is the person whose responsibilities concern the most authoritarian parts of the anti-crime policy. He was appointed by the (former) secretary general of anti-crime policy Sophia Nikolaou, a failed New Democracy politician and declared enemy of prisoners, who a few years ago did everything in her power to murder the communist revolutionary Dimitris Koufontinas. In recent years, and after her appointment as its head, the ΣΕΕΚΚ, in addition to conducting investigations and files within the prison, has been upgraded to a body that can take legislative and administrative initiatives to further repress prisoners within the prison. This agency and the upgrading of its repressive tools is part of the broader planning of the New Democracy government for prisons as reflected in the new penal code and the new penitentiary code and a number of other repressive moves they call anti-crime policy. The state may talk about a “war on crime”, but in reality the policies that follow these declarations do not reduce crime, nor do they work to promote the cohesion of society. On the contrary, these policies are the intensification of the war through the systematic class, social and political exclusion declared by the ruling classes against the social base. And the prisons constitute the ultimate point, the absolute domination of this exclusion over the bodies of those who end up in the concrete tombs of bourgeois democracy. Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for attacks on Airbnb, hotels and cameras in Exarcheia

Posted on 2023/04/28 by darknights

In a virgin forest, a wild mountain, a quiet clean sea, a beautiful neighbourhood, the capitalist sees a “fillet”, a new field of investment and profitability. There is nothing in the world we live in, in the world of state power and the capitalist organization of the economy, that does not have a certain exchange value, that is not valued in money. Such is the nature of capital that it is driven to perpetual expansion as a condition of its survival and reproduction. Everything in nature and society is a target and a field for exploitation. In a miniature version of this process, the neighbourhood of Exarchia has recently been subjected to one of the strongest attacks in recent decades by the State and Capital. Like many other neighbourhoods in the centre of Athens, Exarcheia is still an ‘unexploited’ field for various kinds of big investors. A neighbourhood in the centre of the city, in the midst of its facade, that has been “left behind” in terms of infrastructure, big investments and profit supply to the capitalist machine.

But it is also a special neighborhood. It is different from the other – several other – downtown neighbourhoods that remain ‘underdeveloped’ and undeveloped and for which the same future of ‘development’ is foreseen. It is the neighbourhood of movements, of struggles, of politicised youth, of radicalism, of anarchists. The state has every reason to allocate many of its forces and resources to subjugate, refine, clean up, normalize Exarcheia and offer it, under its auspices, as a pawn to investors. The state knows that, traditionally, Exarcheia is the reference point of radical movements, the “headquarters” of the internal enemy. In recent years, and with particular intensity during the New Democracy government, the state has been attempting to fight what it imagines to be the final battle for the neighbourhood.

This is not, of course, a choice detached from the big picture of state policy. At the juncture of the last few years, the state seems to have considered – and, moreover, proclaimed – that it is the historically and socially appropriate moment to end the deep-rooted domestic revolutionary tradition, political radicalism, anarchists, movements, what its right-wing managers call the “ideological hegemony of the left”. In the era of economic crisis, high inflation and the coming recession, war and geopolitical upheavals, the Greek state is being shielded in the face of an unstable future. Athens, Greece: Taking responsibility for the attack on the central MAT riot cops’ den in Goudi area

Posted on 2023/04/15 - 2023/04/15 by darknights

We take responsibility for the massive arson attack that took place at the central premises of the riot police in Goudi on Tuesday 28 March. Our action comes as a minimal response to the orgy of repression unleashed by the New Democracy government against the mass and militant protests against the state-capitalist crime in Tempe.

The government’s law and order doctrine is the other side of neoliberal policies, class inequality, poverty and privatisation. In the run-up to the election period, attacking the law and order doctrine, attacking the forces of repression, causing unrest targeting, among others, the pigs of the police, is a priority in order to defeat in practice this political doctrine that has left dead and wounded in its wake.

The incendiary attack on the central riot police headquarters was a signal of solidarity with those who took to the streets and clashed with the uniformed watchdogs of the State. To those who lost their own people to State-capitalist crime. To those who are thinking of taking the step to move from abstract condemnation, denunciation, peaceful protest, to a political strategy of which revolutionary violence is an integral part.

Against the organised violence and terrorism of the State, with their guns pointing at us and sometimes going off – always by accident – with their truncheons breaking our bones, with their tear gas suffocating us. Organized revolutionary violence that seeks small and large cracks to make itself felt, to fight back, to make fear change sides, is the only solution.

Solidarity with the anarchist hunger striker Alfredo Cospito who is fighting against the regime of isolation and torture 41bis

Solidarity to those who are in the streets of rage in France and who are revolting in the heart of Europe-capitalist castle.

Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for incendiary attack on a retired cop’s house by ‘Andreas Baader Cell’

Posted on 2023/02/26 - 2023/02/26 by darknights

We take responsibility for the incendiary attack on the house of retired cop Fotis Theodoros in Kaisariani, at 5 Manoliassas Street. We were very pleased to learn in the following days that a second retired cop lived in the same building.

The reason for this attack was the state murder of Kostas Fragoulis by the uniformed garbage of the DIAS unit. Once again, the agents of the state apparatus murder in cold blood, but this time, as last year with Nikos Sampanis, the race of the victim became the main issue in the political and social arena. We as anarchists do not need to analyse our position, it is clear. But we ought to recall that this is not a random incident but a manifestation of the wider war that is being waged unabated by the state and capitalism against the oppressed of this world and especially against those who dare to question their domination. We take a stand in this war and declare that we will walk through your homes and over your dead bodies.

<<Now it is not fitting that the flame of candles over a young grave but that whole states should be lit>> C.C.F. [Conspiracy of Cells of Fire] ( for the murder of A. Grigoropoulos)

Shortly after the murder of Kostas Fragoulis, the police released a text to all cops, explaining how to be careful and how to avoid or manage attacks either while on duty or in their homes. The attacks in Sygrou, Patras, Zografou and now here have shown once again how important our organization is and how willpower humiliates the stupid plans of the state. Here we have to mention that the target was chosen by chance and only because of its location, that is, within a stone’s throw from the YMET headquarters (riot cop unit) and apparently we approached-we left-we fled and nobody bothered us.

The 2nd main reason for the attack ( that is, apart from the targeting of the cops anyway) was, as the comrades in the attack in Zografou put it, the attack on the doctrine of “law and order” with which the New Democracy has been doing politics from the beginning and hopes to be transformed again into thousands of votes by their stooges. We don’t want to say anything else the rest is well known and well said, we prefer to put it into practice. Let the results of our actions speak!

Strength and solidarity to comrade Alfredo Cospito who is on hunger strike and the Italian state chooses to murder him.

Solidarity to all political prisoners.

Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for the ambush on the DIAS group in the area of Zografou

Posted on 2023/01/19 by darknights

FEAR CHANGES SIDE

On Thursday night 12/1 we organized and carried out an ambush against cops of the DIAS group in the area of Zografou. The way the ambush was set up and the intensity of the attack we carried out, resulted in the serious injury of a cop and the total destruction of a motorbike -only this one arrived at the scene- of this particular group. The high strength of firepower used was proportional to the impunity of this group, which already counts 2 murdered Roma in the last 16 months and dozens of incidents of “police arbitrariness”. This was a powerful response to the crescendo of police repression orchestrated by the New Democracy government, which has given the police force free rein to beat, torture and shoot in cold blood, knowing that none of them will be punished and their crimes will be covered up by the lies of journalists, the impunity of the bourgeois justice system and the cover of the political leadership.

We say to the cops in the ranks and to their superiors. For the wanton violence you have used, we will punish you with our own hands. Your colleague’s cries of despair are proof of your weakness when faced with organized forces of revolutionary violence. Panic, pain, fear, insecurity, these are the emotions we offered you during the ambush against you. Draw your conclusions from them because your sense of omnipotence ended with a bang in a dead end at Zografou. With this action we want to pass the message that with organization, planning and discipline we can hit the forces of repression by causing fear and material costs to both animate and inanimate material.

The law and order doctrine that the New Democracy government has been applying since the first moment of its election has left behind dead, wounded, tortured and raped. The constant impunity of the cops is not an accidental fact but the essence of this doctrine. The last link in a huge chain of incidents is the cold-blooded execution of the 16-year-old Roma Kostas Fragoulis, because he ‘dared’ not to pay 20 euros for petrol.
