The Direct Action Cells take responsibility for the attack with an incendiary device at the house of the MP of the New Democracy and journalist of SKAI, Babis Papadimitriou, in Metz in the morning of 6/7. Wanting to honour the real freedom of speech that is persecuted and silenced in the Western countries, we gave the name of Julian Assange to the cell that carried out the action. So that we can recall what it really means to silence freedom of speech with persecution, prisons, courts, when a journalist exposes the war crimes and massacres committed by capitalism.

Babis Papadimitriou belongs to this category of SKAI journalists who redeemed the worm work he did for so many years with a parliamentary seat in New Democracy. The Anglo-Saxon model followed by the SKAI television group in defending New Democracy, as Portosalte had said, has another parameter. The function of SKAI as a political reservoir for future executives and MPs of the New Democracy.

We have mentioned the illusion of security offered by the arrogance of a dominant position of a political official or a big journalist. So now Babis Papadimitriou has crawled out of his house in front of the television cameras to protest against the state’s inability to stop terrorists.

A TV puppet with a consciously argumentative speech, whose persona has been skilfully manipulated over the years by the shipowners who have him on their payroll and the political managers of New Democracy. The similarities with Aris Portosalte are many. After all, together they have marked a period when SKAI was outraged by plaguing the social resistance to the imposition of the memorandum programmes. As a journalistic duo they provoked the anger and disgust towards them from the majority of society. It is no coincidence, moreover, that at the news of the attacks on their homes the social reactions were jubilant from a multitude of people of our class. Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for incendiary attacks on the Secretary General of the Greek Police Officers’ Union and SKAI journalist Aris Portosalte by ‘Direct Action Cells’

LET FEAR CHANGE SIDES

The Direct Action Cells undertook the incendiary attacks on the homes of the Secretary General of the Greek Police Officers’ Union Evangelos Mantziorou on June 2 in Peristeri and the SKAI journalist Aris Portosalte on June 14 in Vrilissia. Our attacks were carried out in the context of our strategy expressed through the slogan “Fear must change sides”. For the last 1.5 years we have been trying with all our forces to target people who, from their position, staff the Greek capitalist formation. High-ranking police officers, big journalists, government officials, technocrats who plan government policy, judges, have been targeted. At the same time we have carried out incendiary actions against financial and political targets. Our action is aimed at sending a clear message to these puppet masters. Those who from their position participate in the savage attack that capitalism has unleashed on all aspects of our lives are in the crosshairs of the Direct Action Cells.

Their apologetic statements, the terror with which they jump out of bed when they hear the explosions of the devices we place in their homes, the condemnatory statements of the parties and the media, show that we are on the right track. The encouraging comments from our people, our class people, are our strength to carry on. Through our actions we are trying to keep alive the tradition and practice of direct action. To make it clear that our enemies have names and addresses. To prove that our momentum is greater when we become unpredictable and to call on other militants to follow our example.

The choice of the far-right neoliberal university student and his targeting was not the result of a victimhood and a source of disgust caused by his public presence. Aris Portosalte as a persona encapsulates the most extreme aspects of neoliberal discourse in the country and with his shrill voice he challenges and seduces the sympathetic ears of the neoliberal audience. His daily rants are not the opinion of a journalist, as he and those who deplored the attack on his house want to peddle, but the outgrowth of the political footprint of New Democracy in Greece at the cutting edge of its thought and speech production, the media. Like another harlequin, he has taken a leading role in the forefront of far-right propaganda and is doing the dirty work that the ruling party’s political cadres often avoid. ANOTHER WAR IS POSSIBLE: CLASS, ANTI-STATE, REVOLUTIONARY.

We take responsibility for the arson attacks that took place from March 2 to 14 in areas of Athens. Specifically

At dawn on Wednesday 2/3 we set fire to and destroyed a company van of AKTORA in Chrysostomou Smyrnis Street in Vyronas. On 1/4/2021 in Evia, the bodies of 3 dead workers were found hanging on the DEI poles and thrown lifeless on the ground at an AKTORA construction site. The murdered workers of the class war are not included in any official statistics, many times they do not even have a name, nationality, age. They are mere fuel and legalized collateral damage. Only proletarian organization and revenge can keep alive the memory of the murdered workers and our class hatred against their murdering bosses. Giannis Carlatiras, 43 years old, George Toskas, 55 years old, and Alex Brouka, 45 years old. stand next to the names of Antonis Dellios, Stamatis Diplaris, Giritlis Tzihat and many other local and migrant workers, all of them murdered on AKTORA construction sites, in our own accounts, in our own memory.

Let us realize that the organization of class revolutionary anti-violence was not, nor is it, a secondary dimension of workers’ action. It is on organised proletarian counter-violence, on the destruction of capital’s proletarian elements and the targeting of its cadres, on the wildcat strikes, that not only any “bargaining power” of the exploited masses is based, but also their very unity in the fields of class warfare. It is the resistance and attack of the workers against the bosses that unites the Class, not the bargaining for the material conditions of its simple survival.

In the midst of declared war and class lockdowns, trade union slogans have been reduced to “health protection measures, masks, tests and vaccinations”, legitimising automatic conscription and therefore universal devaluation of labour power in the name of public health. War, every form of war organised by states, is an automatic devaluation of the class not only in terms of wages and rights but also in simple material and biological dimensions. War means extermination, destruction, death, and when it is officially declared, the generalized appeal to peace simply digs our hole. It can only seem dystopian to claim individual military helmets and safe passage routes to work in the event of an actual military conflict. A working class disciplined to the dictates of the state and capital is a working class vulnerable, easy prey to their warlike designs. Greece: Direct Action Cells – Responsibility claim for a barrage of incendiary attacks in Athens and Thessaloniki

Revolution or Barbarism

In recent years our days have been filled with news of deaths, with numbers of dead, with the words of “experts” who command arrogantly and boastfully from the power they have been given. They are filled with unreasonable orders and outrageous government impositions. We do not intend to extensively analyze positions on the health crisis. The tragic shortages of medical personnel, equipment and infrastructure, the “stain” of 100 deaths a day, i.e. the dire consequences of decades of privatization of public health care. The provocative strengthening of the private sector, exemplified by the big pharmaceutical companies and health giants, whose profits have reached historic highs. The re-emergence of the ‘strong’ state model to restore capitalist equilibria. The strengthening of centralised powers and the emergence of a new caste of all-round technocrats, with the role of abdicating and covering up the responsibilities of the state apparatus and shifting the responsibility for the spread of the virus to the individual. These are just some of the points that shape the management of the pandemic by the capitalist states.

Throughout the pandemic, the key issues that have dominated the public debate have been around public health, mental health and the effects of incarceration, the social exclusion of increasing segments of the population, growing class inequalities, the wider capitalist division of available resources, the role of science and technology, civil rights and the diminished role of bourgeois democracy in emergency situations.

The health crisis has affected in a universal way the relations constituting the social reproduction of capital. The inability of the social formation to reproduce the formed conditions of capitalist production led to an ideological crisis of the applied model of neoliberalism, while at the same time, following the dictum that “for capitalism every crisis is an opportunity”, it served as a key tool for the organised transition to a new era. The capitalist restructuring under way is the huge-scale operation to rescue a system that is plunging into chain crises of a structural nature. It is also the attempt to move capitalism into a new phase, something that its apologists of all kinds openly admit. It is a given that the contradictions that are developing within societies, states and big bosses will be on a trajectory of bloody conflicts in the coming years. The emergence of a powerful bloc within the imperialist bourgeoisies, consisting of the owners of the great technological giants, with the decisive potential for extracting cultural hegemony, is shaping a historical intersection in which the passage to the new capitalist formation will universally determine the lives, habits and lifestyles of the social majority. In the new totalitarian capitalist world that is emerging, the possession of information (data) will be (to an even greater extent than now) only one of the many fields of profitability of these oligarchs, who, in addition to the sharp increase in their profits, will concentrate even greater powers in their hands. On the other hand, those who live within the hyper-connected metropolises will literally become fully exploitable commodities, as they will not only sell their labour power, but every field of social, personal, consumer, recreational interest will be a profitable process for capital, they will constitute an uninterrupted flow of data. Every click, every piece of information unlocked by the algorithms on their screens will fill the pockets of their provider with profit in an endless game of exploitation and total control of every aspect of human activity. Thessaloniki, Greece: Incendiary attack on the office of Leventis lawyer Th. Alexopoulos by Direct Action Cells – Anarchist Action Organization

On New Year’s Eve, in a suite of the luxurious MET Hotel, an anthropomorphic gang of golden boys, including the businessman in the catering industry Manos Papadopoulos (owner of Achillion) and the owners of Coca-cola in Greece Evagoras and Vassilis Leventis, bind the 24-year-old Georgia Bika and after drugging her, proceed to gang rape her. From the first moment she finds the strength and power to stand on her feet and with determination not to remain silent, denouncing the incident. One of the rapists (Vassilis Leventis) is arrested and released, with him a few hours later posing provocatively on social media holding the newspaper that records his exploits on the cover. Into the scene of decadence enters yet another extra of misery, the defense attorney for one of the rapists. Theophilos Alexopoulos, full of audacity, unfolds his manhood behind his professional capacity, finding Georgia Bika in the police station and verbally attacking her in order to intimidate her and prevent her from taking legal action.

This ease with which some scoundrels move, overwhelmed by the feeling of impunity that stems simultaneously from the privileges of patriarchy and the security they enjoy through the social and class status they enjoy, has always been a characteristic that has armed our thinking, our will but above all our conscious duty of revenge. We take responsibility for the incendiary attack with a low-powered device on the law office of pimp and rapist supporter Theophilos Alexopoulos at 74 Egnatia Street in Thessaloniki on the morning of 31 January.

The events through the perseverance and determination of Georgia, which stood alone against the wall of the Patriarchy, occupy the public sphere where the existence of a whole pimping ring that drugs and promotes young girls for the tastes and manliness of the economic elite is methodically revealed. A circuit that has the backing of the uniformed rapists and the bourgeois justice system to wash their faces based on their economic and social status and the political-economic interests they represent in both the legal economy and the black underground economy through the drug, arms, protection and trafficking mafias. Thessaloniki, Greece: Arson of the construction Praxis (Πράξις) that demolished the occupation of Biologica by Cores of Immediate Action (Πυρήνες Αμεσης Δράσης)

On the morning of New Year’s Eve, numerous repressive forces surround the facilities of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and begin the operation to evacuate the occupation of the Biologica. They invade the hangout(at Biologica) and after the end of the research, they start the demolition works of the area. The renovation project, which concerns the “Investment in education, the acquisition of skills and lifelong learning” and amounts to a cost of 1,320,600 euros, concerns the creation of a sterile waiting area.These are the real needs of academic education: sterile spaces in a landscape deliberately degraded, to create the empty man of tomorrow, a willing servant and ruler in the appeals and interests of capitalist reconstruction.

The repressive gang war of Rector Papaioannou against the squats that belong to the(ΑΠΘ)Aristotle University of Thessaloniki continues. After the evacuation of the Terra Incognita squat in the summer of 2020, the evacuation of the squat on Nikis Street in the past (buildings that remain sealed even today), the uniformed academy proceeds to evacuate and demolish a space inside the university campus that over 3 decades captured what freedom in knowledge, self-education, access without profit and price means.The academic community officially opens its arms to militarism and repression, with the rubbish of the rectory sending its excited thanks personally to Mitsotakis himself. This is the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki:a matrix of collaborators of repression in which the officials of the uniformed Republic are hatched. The government decides to proceed with the surprise of New Year’s Eve and to lay the veil of repression claiming the war fiesta. A few hours later, we go on the counterattack.We take responsibility for the arson attack on the building of the construction company Praxis, at 49 Kromnis Street in Kalamaria shortly before the change of the Year.Praxis is the contracting company that undertook the demolition work of the occupation. We will strike each one individually that accompanies the repression against the liberated territories and the world of struggle.

Our attack is the first reflexive action of practical solidarity in the world of struggle that defends to the end the squatters and the self-managed areas of struggle, solidarity and attack. A message of strength, support and complicity with each comrade and comrade individually who insists on denial, on questioning, on war. You will find us by your side in every moment of conflict, in every roadblock because we are not finished.We are preparing a new cycle of attacks in the war of attrition, organizing new Cores of Immediate Action. And in this war we call on every struggling initiative to take action, sharpening the confrontation quantitatively, qualitatively and operationally.

Thessaloniki, Greece: Explosive attacks on 2 houses of assassins in uniform by Direct Action Cells – Organzation Anarchist Action

On 22 October, uniformed assassins of the DIAS, detect a stolen vehicle in the neighbourhoods of Piraeus and pursue it. At the same time that the vehicle is trapped and immobilized, surrounded by numerous and armored police forces, the cops raise their guns and shoot in cold blood with 38 bullets 18-year-old Nikos Sampanis. Typically brought into the arms of civil justice are 7 cops involved in the murder, who under the blessings and praise of the Minister of Uniformed Killers himself, Theodorikakos, are released. The operation is a complete success. Score – one dead for one stolen vehicle.

From propaganda to praxis

Justice is a revolutionary affair and comes like the Sword of Damocles on your heads. As a minimum first retaliation for the previously announced murder of Niko Sampani, we take responsibility for the explosive attacks with low-powered devices on the houses of two bounty hunters in uniform, Lefteris Gatos at 19 Graziou Street and Dimitrios Daggli at 45 Olympiad Street, in the early morning hours of November 15th in Thessaloniki. Our attacks took place a few hours after a new outrageous event came to light: the arrest of yet another uniformed man for indecent assault on his 4-year-old daughter. We had made it clear that nothing goes unanswered, let alone a murder. And while incidents of police brutality are increasing by the day, passive waiting is not one of our characteristics. We go on the offensive again by publicly stating that as of today the bounty list has 19 more unpunished scumbags (with no guarantee that the above two will not be re-targeted in the future).

To cut the laughter…

Last July, we proceeded to put a public bounty on 21 hired killers of the Greek Police, showing you a small but not insignificant sample of our own factionalism in the face of your impunity. And we saw the fear and terror in your eyes when you took Tsairidis from channel to channel crying and begging justice for protection. A few months later, our deeds complement our words. As long as you are unpunished, you are unprotected. History itself has shown that murderers and torturers will always meet the punishing hand of revolutionary violence, of true justice. “The exploited people have nothing to manage themselves beyond the denial of their status as such. Only in this way will their bosses, their leaders, their variously adorned apologists be eliminated with them. In this ‘massive task of urgent demolition’, we must quickly seek, joy.”

ACTION REPLACES TEARS

Much was said, even more was concealed and little was done. On July 14, 2020, our eyes tear up at the news of the death of comrade Vassilis Maggos, tears that will become rage, rage that thirsts for revenge. Evamer, as he was known and remains in our hearts, was a rare blend of selfless fighter and rebellious youth. A friend – a comrade in every sense of the word, who, with a permanent smile on his face, was always willing to help his neighbour, to discuss and above all to ACT against the state’s power and social subordination. A person who more than once had faced the arbitrariness of power and the bullies of the cops as he struggled with his demons from a young age, growing up in the streets of denial and questioning. Much can be said and perhaps has already been said about comrade Vassilis, but little has been done. We pledge that this condition will change. His beating and subsequent torture by the garbage of the police after the demonstration on June 13, 2020, may not be directly responsible for his death, but everyone can understand the magnitude of the mental burden that was inflicted on him and led to his death. His indirect state murder was a predestined repressive move against the movement forces of Volos, of which Vassilis was a part, and which have been under an ill-conceived and crude industry of persecution for 13 years. It was a direct continuation of the repressive pogrom of those days, with beatings, chemicals, home invasions, filing cases against demonstrators and state terrorism. Moreover, his targeting was constant and continued after his death, with the cops taunting him with forensic procedures, not returning his cell phone to his family and charging him posthumously at the same time that the results of the fake investigation (and the names of his torturers) were kept secret. We have no illusion that justice will be done through the very institutions responsible for perpetuating social and class injustice. We know that the lengthy and covert judicial procedures are intended to cover up and launder the cops, as is the case in all cases of state arbitrariness. But what we can say is that nothing will go unanswered. We respect his family’s choice to take legal action, but for us this is not enough. It is everyone’s bet, therefore, to seek justice for Vassilis’ death and the events of last summer. It is a matter of putting a brake on police arbitrariness, and this cannot be done with comments on Facebook. Those who choose to take our comrade in their mouths would be well advised to turn their words into actions, those who shout about him in the marches should already be planning revenge actions, those who call him out by doing nothing just have a corpse in their mouths, and that is disgraceful, they had better shut up. Let each and every one of them take responsibility! That’s what he wanted and that’s what he did. Just like when he alone went and smashed the offices of the Neo-Nazis of Golden Dawn. The rest is just empty talk to justify their political non-existence and their superficial (if not hobbyist) involvement in the anti-authoritarian struggle. The road to a future world without power, exploitation and oppression is not flowered with rose petals and Vassilis Maggos will always remind us of this! Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for the arson attack on the house of Giannis Pretenteris by Direct Action Cells – Insurgent Violence Cell

Within the framework of the Direct Action Cells, as a Cell of Insurgent Violence, we take responsibility for the arson attack at the entrance of the house of Giannis Pretenteris.

We were not surprised by the condemnations of the bourgeois political parties, the ESIEA (Athens Daily Newspaper Editors’ Union), the government representative. Giannis Pretenteris has proved on every possible occasion that he is the most loyal watchdog of the corrupt economic and political elite that has been ruling this country with arrogance and impunity for all these years. Pretenderis symbolises a person – a role model for the bourgeois world. His position in the system, the posts and the tasks he has been called upon to carry out follow a double path that ends up on the same road.

The first one that makes his appearance in front of the cameras of the television channels. Fancy, dominant, powerful, subsidized, manufactured. Pretenteris is a shining example of a tireless propaganda machine called upon to represent state and capitalist interests and to shape a social ethic, the ethic of the system. This morality that always presents itself in the imperious guise of the social majority, in order to strike with the stick of the dominant class violence and to order with impudence – using techniques of psychological warfare – those who harm the interests of the powerful. Spreading fake news, constant attempts to manipulate citizens, slander, character assassination are on his daily agenda. At the same time, its ideological profile, which can be described as “modernist” in the standards of the hard neoliberal centre, is the official television representation of political power and the most unscrupulous economic interests. For Pretenteris there is one unbreakable rule: Whatever suits and serves the power system that supports him is ethical and legal. Whatever threatens its interests is illegal and arbitrary.

Pretenteris’ other path is dark. It is that of shady dealings with political and economic interests, of willing brokering all kinds of state and parastatal dirty tricks, of well-paid under-the-table deals on where to provide his required political support. It is the route of a loyal courtier who has pitched his tent outside the villas of the big business tycoons, the media owners, the contractors, the big political families, waiting with excessive servility for their dictates. The route of black money, offshore, extensive tax evasion, the mafia-like operations of the system that are laundered with no compensation by appointed journalists like Pretenderis.

Giannis Pretenteris, as a stooge of Lambrakis and Bobolas, made his first appearances on private television, on ANT1. He was one of the first to give voice and political legitimacy to the nazis of Golden Dawn in the 1990s, calling out Nikos Michaloliakos and giving the floor to Periandros Andritsopoulos and other henchmen of the then Golden Dawn to drip their Neo-Nazi poison in public. After all, when it serves state planning, bourgeois democracy reproduces its version of political pluralism and tolerance. Of course, as long as the opposing voice has given credentials of allegiance to the state and the capitalists that the deep core of their interests will remain untouched.

Giannis Pretenteris quickly jumps to MEGA1, while writing for the then Lambrakis-owned print press (VIMA, NEA2). He becomes a key commentator on the main newscast and has his own political show. His tireless insistence on the ideological and political defence of every act of state violence, every economic and political scandal, turns him and his show into a slogan shouted in the streets of the cities by the student movement fighting against the then Diamantopoulou law3 – framework: “Subversion is not a show, Pretraderis die to make a celebration”. Pretenteris had deservedly earned the dislike of those involved in social – political demands, as everyone was ground down by his propaganda millstone.

Alongside his daily defence of the memoranda and the policies being pursued in that period, he was again one of the first to give a television voice to the racist “residents’ committees”4, so that the racist poison found a response in the armies of the newly deprived of the crisis. We are sure that in May 2012 Pretenteris was looking at the election results with pride. He had contributed the most to the 7% of Golden Dawn, as the shipowner who now has him on his pay roll at IOM (International Organisation for Migration) also wished. Volos, Greece: Explosive attack at the AGET factory by Direct Action Cell ‘Vassilis Maggos’

ACTION REPLACES TEARS

In the early morning of Sunday 18/7, we attacked, placing an incendiary device on the transformers of the transformer of the power substation of AGET, located inside the factory. We proceeded with this action, thus paying tribute to our comrade Vassilis Maggos, exactly one year after his death. We do not forget and will not forgive the perpetrators of his beating and torture. The AGET plant is a scourge for the city of Volos, condensing the rage of the institutions of power against the environment and the society of Volos. They are the moral perpetrators of last year’s events that led to the death of our comrade, and this will not be forgotten until we see the ashes and ruins of the factory. In this context, we have offered several litres of petrol and many flames to those who daily give cancer to an entire city. The system has concealed the action because it feels and is vulnerable, confirming to us that fear has begun to change sides. It is everyone’s business to take life into our own hands in militant terms.

Tears for Vassili will become their nightmares.

And even if we never win we will always fight!
