In the early hours of Saturday morning, we headed to the Eurobank bank at the junction of El.Venizelos and Iasonos streets, where 2 ATM machines were broken and then an attack was carried out on a police car and a vehicle of the OPKE, who arrived at the scene, by throwing empty bottles and stones. The above actions were taken as an act of vigilante action. We have no illusions, nor do we expect any vindication from the judicial organs of the state apparatus in the upcoming trial of the cops-torturers of Vassilis Maggos. It is time for fear to change sides. With this act we call for a generalization of the confrontational actions of the anti-authoritarian space in memory of Vassilis. Athens: today 16/1/23, at the appeal trial court found not guilty.

Anarchist comrade Charis Mantzouridis was found not guilty today after being held in pre-trial incarceration for 14 months.

Because we’re the ones who hang out at night, conspire in our meetings and constantly think of ways to act. When we are hit, we have an obligation to make our presence felt, to show a signal of resistance, to give a breath of life to what we call solidarity.

We are hit in many ways, at work where the need to survive is exploited, on the street where a person may think a person is vulnerable and become abusive or an immigrant is dangerous and let out their racist rant, in the marches with the mats attacking, but we have shown that we have aggressive characteristics too and we will be confronted, in our social and political spaces where the power with the bullshitocracy thinks it will suppress us. But we will not let that happen.

We experience violence in various forms every day, we have learned to resist through our relationships, collectively and individually we are determined and we will win.

The road to anarchy is rough, if it doesn’t happen today, it will happen tomorrow, if you and I don’t see it, the next ones will see it, but we will not give up, that is the only certainty.

And when one is imprisoned, that is when one is confronted with power in all its glory, that is when the system thinks it has a victory to show its masters. But no. Because inside and outside the walls that separate us we continue to act. For each other, we are side by side, fighting to change what oppresses us, what we will no longer tolerate.

FEAR CHANGES SIDE

On Thursday night 12/1 we organized and carried out an ambush against cops of the DIAS group in the area of Zografou. The way the ambush was set up and the intensity of the attack we carried out, resulted in the serious injury of a cop and the total destruction of a motorbike -only this one arrived at the scene- of this particular group. The high strength of firepower used was proportional to the impunity of this group, which already counts 2 murdered Roma in the last 16 months and dozens of incidents of “police arbitrariness”. This was a powerful response to the crescendo of police repression orchestrated by the New Democracy government, which has given the police force free rein to beat, torture and shoot in cold blood, knowing that none of them will be punished and their crimes will be covered up by the lies of journalists, the impunity of the bourgeois justice system and the cover of the political leadership.

We say to the cops in the ranks and to their superiors. For the wanton violence you have used, we will punish you with our own hands. Your colleague’s cries of despair are proof of your weakness when faced with organized forces of revolutionary violence. Panic, pain, fear, insecurity, these are the emotions we offered you during the ambush against you. Draw your conclusions from them because your sense of omnipotence ended with a bang in a dead end at Zografou. With this action we want to pass the message that with organization, planning and discipline we can hit the forces of repression by causing fear and material costs to both animate and inanimate material.

The law and order doctrine that the New Democracy government has been applying since the first moment of its election has left behind dead, wounded, tortured and raped. The constant impunity of the cops is not an accidental fact but the essence of this doctrine. The last link in a huge chain of incidents is the cold-blooded execution of the 16-year-old Roma Kostas Fragoulis, because he ‘dared’ not to pay 20 euros for petrol. The trial of Revolutionary Self-Defence has ended

Comrade Vanggelis Stathopoulos was acquitted of the charges of membership of a terrorist organization, possession of weapons as a terrorist act, theft (O.Π.Α.Π.) and aggravated weapons possession.

Found guilty of simple possession of weapons involving a taser, an iron fist and a pocket knife, of the 19 years of imprisonment he was sentenced to in the first instance, he was sentenced to 10 months. A mitigating factor of subsequent good behaviour was recognised and the sentence was suspended.

Comrade Dimitris Chatzivasiliadis was found guilty on charges of forming and joining a terrorist organisation, possession of weapons as a terrorist act, theft (Ο.Π.Α.Π.) and simple possession of weapons. He was sentenced to 14 years’ imprisonment instead of the 16 years of the first instance.

Serres, Greece: Responsibility claim for motor oil attack on local New Democracy president

Athens, Greece: Incendiary attack against machinery at a metro construction site in solidarity with Thanos Chatziangelou and Alfredo Cospito

On Monday, December 26, we set fire to 2 construction machines used at the construction site for the new metro line in May Day Square.

As soon as the time changed, we attacked the metro machines on Vikou Avenue in Galati. We realized that in the intense humidity in the air, there was a possibility of failure of the action. In any case, we decided to take the risk and the result was that 3 project machines were completely destroyed and probably some more were damaged, which was a positive thing for us.

What happened will in no way stop work on the metro, but it did result in 5 damaged machines which caused a good financial loss and sent a message of resistance. Perhaps our action caused a slight delay in the work process, but we will always prefer action to simply being a spectator to the absurd and sad reality.

It was easy to choose the target, not only for what it represents as a symbol but also for the practical use it contributes to the normalcy of cities. The subway, urban development works,bulldozers and other machinery are only an illustration of gentrification, progress, modernization, the destruction of nature and the imposition of the techno-industrial system. Hamburg, Germany: Responsibility claim for the arson attack on a truck of the company Strabag in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito and the fighters in Lützerath

In memory of the hunger-striking anarchist Alfredo Cospito we set fire to trucks of Strabag in the Schanze on the night of Jan. 5.
Strabag does not only build jails. At least since the struggle for the Dannenröder forest, they have also often been the target of attacks because they actively destroy nature. Our fire should also give strength to those fighting in and around Lützerath. Day X has already been proclaimed.

“We are in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito, who has been on hunger strike since October 20, 2022 against his imprisonment in the 41-bis isolation regime and against life imprisonment without option of release. Alfredo’s detention conditions at the moment are slightly better than the previous weeks. He has lost a lot of weight and his health is relatively stable, but could become critical at any time. Two other prisoners in Italy, Anna and Juan have been on prolonged solidarity hunger strikes and Ivan Alocco, a prisoner in France is also supporting Alfredo through hunger strike. Toby Shone, who is in jail in England, is also supporting Alfredo by refusing to eat several days a week. Thanos started a hunger and thirst strike that day. The 4 anarchists are being persecuted, under “anti-terrorist” law, for participating in an allegedelly “terrorist” organization named “comrades”. No one alone against the state! Chronicle of the prosecution

On March 8th and 9th 2020, after a state security operation three male and one female comrade are arrested. Τhe authorities’ sole piece of evidence was two cops having ‘visually’ identified the first arrested person on a video of the attack against the Mitsotakis* Foundation. The other three were arrested due to their friendly and comrade relationships. They now find themselves charged with an enormous case file which includes 55 attacks.

Based on the anti-terrorist Act 187A, they are charged with setting up and participating in an alleged terrorist organization under the name of “comrades” . The authorities are prosecuting the comrades based on attacks, actions and public addresses uploaded on counter-information platforms which had been signed using the term “comrades”. In this way, the police are attempting to bring any political action signed by “comrades” together under the umbrella of a collective terrorist organization.

A few words on the construct of the organization “comrades”, from the statement of the prosecuted female comrade in May 2020: /… / Behold then, the State, in its attempt to sell the ideological construct of “war against terrorism” fabricating organizations. They claim the terrorist organization they created by the name “comrades” to be a group that has acted since 2016 up to the present carrying out attacks in Athens. This reasoning goes beyond normality or reality in a way that can only be called ridiculous. In fact, the name of this infamous organization is but a sign-off used by the broader spectrum of anarchist/ antiauthoritarian groups for many years now. It was used, it is still being used and it will continue to be used. Anyone who searches can find hundreds of texts bearing the said signature all over Greece, most probably even abroad. This new stratagem, the use, that is, of a broader signature and its conversion into the name of a terrorist organization, is unprecedented and its only aim can be to “lump” together a wide, diverse and multi-faceted range of action on the part of the broader antiauthoritarian movement, as well as to terrorize all who belong there.
