15 YEARS AFTER THE SO-CALLED SECURITY CASE: MARCELO VILLARROEL AND JUAN ALISTE WITH THEIR FISTS RAISED IN DIGNIFIED RESISTANCE TO IMPRISONMENT AS STATE REVENGE.
On October 18, 2007, a group of people carried out a robbery at a branch of the Banco Security located in the center of Santiago in Chile. In the retreat, two police motorists who were alerted and went to the vicinity tried to stop part of the assailants and clashed with them shooting one policeman dead and the other wounded, thus the expropriators escaped from the police encirclement.
After the events and the death of the policeman, the state operations would be unleashed in a matter of weeks against a universe of subversive autonomous comrades who would be exposed in all the mass media of power: Freddy Fuentevilla (in the street), Carlos Gutiérrez (in the street), Juan Aliste and Marcelo Villarroel (still imprisoned) were immediately condemned by the media, the fabricated public opinion and the rulers in power, while the carabineros began the hunt against them, who were already in hiding, raiding the homes of relatives in Santiago, Valparaíso, Iquique and carrying out multiple operations in Mapuche territory.
Months later (2008) they would be arrested in Argentinean territory (Freddy and Marcelo), convicted (for carrying a weapon of war), spending 22 months in prison and then expelled to Chile. Then Juan would also be detained in Argentina (year 2010) and immediately expelled to Chile. In this way, already in this territory, the comrades would have to face a political trial that would finally condemn Marcelo to 14 years in September 2014 for 2 bank robberies and Juan to 42 years for the death of the policeman, the attempted death of the other policeman and 2 bank robberies. So clear are the figures and reasons why our comrades today are still kidnapped by the state in the prisons of their democracy. A complicit greeting. Francisco Solar’s words for the Week of Solidarity with the Anarchist Prisoners
Revolutionary, anarchic solidarity is a mutual relationship that requires in an indispensable way a clear and decisive positioning of war both from the prisoners and from the like-minded environments of the street. On this basis, this week of solidarity with the anarchist prisoners comes to strengthen this relationship based on combat, which is nothing other than the existing complicity that threatens every expression of authority.
To break with welfarism and victimhood is to stop seeing the prisoner as an unquestionable subject by the mere fact of his or her situation of temporary confinement. Therefore, it is also to break with practices that tend to hierarchize and become authoritarian. It is essential to keep this in mind at all times in order to strengthen the anarchic anti-prison struggle.
A complicit salute to all groups and individuals who make their own the war against authority, which is inseparable from the anarchic struggle against prisons. Their actions and attacks are an important respite from the oppressive prison life.
A complicit greeting also to all the anarchist prisoners locked up around the world. A special embrace for comrade Alfredo Cóspito who is in an exceptional situation of imprisonment that the Power intends to make it perpetual.
An end to the sentences of the military justice on Marcelo Villarroel!
Let the prisons explode!

Anti-prison solidarity and permanent anti-statism conflict
“Prisons are today, and always been, punishment weapons that the establishment uses against anyone putting at risk private property. The exploiters use repressive systems for this matter in order to carry on their privileges and keeping the order and laws they shelter on, their filthy status quo. (…) It is time to take action, on an everyday basis, along with our related comrades, for the destruction of the prison society and any social attempt to amend this filthy death system. Solidarity must never be an empty slogan, but an everyday action against the establishment and a constant support to our brothers and sisters kidnapped during this war to death”.
-Mauricio Morales, praxis anarchist.
Solidarity and action goes hand in hand, they are not empty words lost somewhere, and we forge a relationship with our imprisoned comrades on an everyday basis, a political and caring relationship that goes beyond the prison walls. This relationship is seen when we make actual support gestures, and when we feed into our rallying cry. These different gestures we make with numerous comrades inevitably crack the control systems that the establishment keeps against the prisoners. It is a milimetric crack, but it is crucial. It is known that the control and punishment imposed: the disastrous dynamics between some of the prisoners, coward wardens that lose their minds with a little bit of authority and forget that outside the prison they walk as we do. Anyway, it is necessary to keep on multiplying gestures, we are talking about visits, letters, assignments, propaganda, and action. We must get involved in the action for the anti-prison fight, know the resistance history of many of the fighters that here as well as in all around the globe, had left, and keep leaving their experiences as life lessons, since it is known that who are against the dominant social order and against the ruling class that allows this to carry on, and act against all of this: the prison, the underground movement, even death can knock our doors. This is why we must keep in mind the state maneuvers that may fall on the ones that decide to rebel against it. Continue reading “Chile: Tiempo de Luchar #1. Febrero 2020”
