Shattered windows of two Carrefour supermarkets, accomplice of the Israeli state (Milan, Dec. 7, 2023)

MILAN NIGHT DECEMBER 6-7

Hammering on the windows of two Milanese supermarkets of the French company Carrefour, on Via Pier Lombardo and Via Marcellino Ammiano, respectively. This action is aimed at targeting one of the many entities complicit with Israel.Carrefour recently entered into a contract with the Israeli company Electra Consumer Products and delivered food parcels to the IDF. Its corporate policy makes it co-responsible for the massacres and ethnic cleansing carried out by the state of Israel and its army.

Anarchist action directed against the oppressors knows no respite.

Athens, Greece: If you were invisible, would you rob a supermarket? by ALIENATION_2.0

Athens,  If you were invisible, would you rob a supermarket? by ALIENATION_2.0

At noon on Saturday 4/11, an expropriation took place at s/m My Market on Agia Sophia Street, in one of the most central parts of the Vyrvna  neighbourhood.

Supermarkets have always been one of the businesses that never miss an opportunity to turn every crisis into an opportunity to multiply their profits on our backs in a variety of ways. Either by draining their workforce with meager wages and flexible hours, or by imposing exorbitant mark-ups on all their products, with priority given to basic necessities further hampering our quality of life.

We live to work, we live to rent, our salaries end on the 1st week of the month and in this condition the state tries to convince us that the “household basket” and the crumbs it called market pass constitute social policy. In the same vein, the “social policy” of humiliating compensations and accommodation in camps and stadiums with which it tried to convince the affected residents of the Thessalian plain that their lives will be restored. In the same situation, the entrepreneurs of the supermarkets, as modern-day black marketeers even took advantage of the lack of drinking water in the wider area of flooded Thessaly city by selling bottled water even more expensively. While the populations affected saw mud and debris, bosses studied balance sheets, turnover and profit margins.

EVERYTHING IS OURS BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS STOLEN

So we grabbed dozens of essentials from My Market (oil, cleaning products, toiletries) and left collectively without paying a cent. These products have already been given to people in Thessaly who really needed them, strengthening the hundreds of movements of solidarity that have been expressed throughout this time by the self-organized movement towards the affected. This small movement of expropriating and sharing what we need is inspired by the overall movement of counter-attack and recovery required to take back everything that we are deprived of daily and really need.

We don’t expect anything from anyone. We are collectively organizing against the continued devaluing of our lives. Fight for life and dignity.

We call for the proliferation of similar direct actions.

EXPLOIRATION_2.0

PS We decided to film our movement and share it to break the orchestrated silence of the media and to inspire similar initiatives…

Milan, Italy: Demonstration alongside Alfredo Cospito on 115th day of hunger strike against 41 bis and hostile life imprisonment

Demonstration alongside Alfredo Cospito on 115th day of hunger strike against 41 bis and hostile life imprisonment (Milan, Feb. 11, 2023)

Last night [Saturday, Feb. 11] demonstration in Milan alongside Alfredo Cospito against 41 bis and hostile life imprisonment.

The demonstration started from Piazza XXIV Maggio attempting to reach Porta Romana, just before the end of the demonstration the rapid response units at the head of the procession deployed preventing them from continuing. The participants managed not to get blocked in the street and, defending themselves with what the street furniture offered, managed several times not to get closed by the increasingly agitated and fierce cops.

By the end of the day there were about ten detentions, now all released, a few dented cops, some Eni-Enjoy cars [vehicles of Eni’s car sharing service] damaged and shattered windows of real estate agencies, supermarkets and banks.

During the demonstration Alfredo Cospito was being transferred to San Paolo Hospital in Milan.

This morning, however, news broke that the Cassation Prosecutor’s Office in its indictment filed ahead of the hearing set for next February 24 asked to annul the decision of the Supervisory Court that had confirmed 41 bis for Alfredo.

Stay tuned for upcoming events!

Patras, Greece: Responsibility claim for attacks on supermarket chains

Posted on 2022/12/08 - 2022/12/08 by darknights

At dawn on Monday 5 December, we attacked supermarkets of large chains in the city of Patras, with sledgehammers, causing damage. We chose the supermarkets:

Sklavenitis on the El. Stratiotou

Sklavenitis in Notaras

Market In on Souda Street

It is known to all that accuracy and the unbearable cost of living are not “sky-high” concepts that “happened” to be created by the war in Ukraine and the revaluations it brings, as the Greek state sells as a narrative. On the contrary, they are the result of an increasingly deepening crisis that capital has been in for at least 15 years. In the midst of this crisis, and the opportunity it presents to the world’s rulers, wealth is being redistributed, geopolitical balances are being redistributed, new energy hubs are being created and overall competition is intensifying. In this context, the effect on everyday life for the vast majority of society is more brutal than ever. More and more impoverishment and misery, the imposition of a working dark ages and modern slavery.

In this crisis, the state and capital are attempting ever harder, more totalitarian changes in their functioning, imposing ever harsher conditions on our lives, creating the necessary conditions and situations for the further plundering and exploitation of our lives and the natural world for the sake of their profitability.

The Greek state is certainly moving in the same direction. Only in the last 10-15 years we can mention the memoranda, the neglect and dismantling of the public health care system for the benefit of private interests, the continuous subsidizing of banks from state funds, costs that fall on the backs of society, financial scandals in every sector, bills for the exploitation of the environment, the dismantling of the remaining public character in education and health, the anti-labour bill – the infernal Hantzidakis bill, the tightening of repression and criminal treatment especially of those who struggle and so much more. Thessaloniki, Greece: Responsibility claim for hammer attacks in solidarity with anarchist comrade Giannis Michailidis

Posted on 2022/07/10 - 2022/07/10 by darknights

On Friday night, July 8th, we carried out a raid with hammers on the policed, touristic and “gentrified” centre of Thessaloniki on Tsimiski Street. We chose to attack a central store of the AB Vassilopoulos chain, which, apart from its constant stance on the implementation of the most neoliberal dictates in the labour regime of the chain’s branches, has taken the current intensity of the capitalist crisis as an opportunity to make a fortune at the expense of society by blowing up the prices of basic goods. We also attacked a branch of elpedison, which, respectively, is ensuring a rapid increase in its profits in the context of the current crisis, bringing poor households to their knees. Finally, we hit a Eurobank branch by breaking its ATMs.

This raid was carried out in solidarity with the anarchist hunger striker G. Michailidis. The comrade is on the 47th day of his hunger strike and while his health condition is getting worse day by day, the state and the judicial mechanisms continue to prolong his vindictive detention. The comrade has been entitled to be released from prison since December and yet every request for his release has been repeatedly rejected. Thus, while a state murder is in full swing, the establishment media are concealing both the struggle of G. Michailidis’ struggle and his just demands, as well as the movements of the solidarity movement, reinforcing the state’s death policy, paying off their political debts for the Petsas list*.

We are going through a period when dozens of people are committing suicide, unable to pay the electricity bill, unable to cope with the unbearable cost of living and meeting their basic needs, and the first homes of poor families are being auctioned off, those who are fighting to defend university asylum are beaten, migrants are murdered by the security forces at the borders, political prisoners barricade their own lives in order to claim their rights. At the same time, the state and capital demonstrate every day in the most violent way that they are not only indifferent to the social base, but that the bleeding of the social base, together with the repression of those who resist, are necessary conditions for ensuring their domination.

We therefore stand against the “preventive detention” of G. We stand against the G. Michailidis’s “preventive detention”, which demonstrates the real intentions of the state: the vengeful and exhausting treatment of those who struggle and at the same time the preventive terrorizing of those who will inevitably be radicalized in the face of the oppression of their lives by the state and the bosses. That is why we have to realize that the struggle of G. Michailidis’ struggle is a struggle of the whole society and we must show our solidarity by every means, from marches and rallies to occupations and attacks. Because the defense of political prisoners and their struggles should and can be another stone, a driving force in the direction of the struggle for the total overthrow of the capitalist system.

IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF THE ANARCHIST HUNGER STRIKER GIANNIS MICHAILIDIS

IN THE FACE OF THE DETERIORATION OF THE COMRADE’S HEALTH WE WILL RESPOND WITH VIOLENCE AGAINST THE VIOLENCE OF CAPITAL AND STATE DEATH POLICY

Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for attack two branches of Lidl

Posted on 2022/06/17 by darknights

On 8/4 and 19/5 we chose to attack two branches of the multinational company Lidl. These targets were not chosen at random. A few months before, in an attempt by an elderly woman to squeeze, without paying the price of products for her living, she was bullied by security guards – protectors of the bosses’ profits. In a period of constant impoverishment of the lower classes of the population, and over-inflation of the bosses’ profits, the class gap seems to be constantly blurring. The poor are getting poorer and the rich are getting richer. The steady decline in wages and the simultaneous increase in the cost of living (food, electricity, rent, fuel) leave us with no other answer than to attack the devaluation of our lives. Within the framework of the counter-attack we include both the frontal confrontation with the bosses and the act of expropriation. An act politically coloured, embedded in a context of taking back what belongs to us. Precisely because we understand it as a political choice we cannot separate it from a context of solidarity supportive of the individuals who choose or are pushed down this path. At the same time we are outraged by the care of a legal framework that leaves its own people (Noor1 shipowners, Floros Energa) in the clear but at the same time it is also unacceptable in its severity to the persons that it pushed into these choices. In the frontal assault on the people of our class, we do not choose to bow our heads, but rather we advocate direct action, solidarity and resistance by any means to the oppressors of our lives.
