Spoleto, Italy: Spontaneous demonstration for Alfredo Cospito on hunger strike

Posted on 2022/11/15 by darknights

On the margin of the planned gatherings held outside the prisons in Terni and Spoleto, some of the comrades took part in a demonstration through the streets of Spoleto.

Given the massive deployment of forces present in the acropolis of the old city centre, to protect the happy continuation of the holiday for tourists, the demonstration moved through the streets of the lower part of the old city chanting slogans against 41 bis, repression, war, in support of revolutionary action, in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito on hunger strike, the anarchists Juan Sorroche and Ivan Alocco who joined in his battle, and the communist prisoners in 41 bis, distributing various leaflets. The demonstration first surprised the repressive forces, who took half an hour to deploy the anti-riot police, who, after another half an hour or so, forced the break-up.

The comrades remained compact and firm on their positions, despite a few attempts at intimidation and a lot of paternalism. We stayed together for a while longer to protect each other and in the end the cops left in dribs and drabs.

Alfredo out from 41 bis!
With Juan and Ivan on hunger strike!
Close 41 bis!
Freedom for everyone!

Rome, Italy: Claim of sabotage act against rail lines in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito on hunger strike

Posted on 2022/11/15 by darknights

On the night of November 6, we sabotaged high-speed rail and other train lines in several places in the city. Writings against 41 bis were left at the site. The goal of this action was to give visibility to the struggle of Alfredo and the other prisoners on hunger strike.
The action, despite being successful (we verified that there were heavy delays to circulation the following day) was silenced by the media.
We recognize the state and its institutions responsible for Alfredo’s condition and health, and these attempts to invisibilize his struggle will not stop us: we will continue to stand by Alfredo because his struggle is our struggle.

NOT A STEP BACKWARD!
GET ALFREDO OUT OF 41BIS!
CLOSE THE 41BIS!
WITH JUAN, IVAN, ANNA AND ALL ANARCHIST PRISONERS!
LONG LIVE DIRECT ACTION!
LONG LIVE ANARCHY!

Rome, Italy: Shattered windows and smashed ATMs in solidarity with Alfredo, Anna, Juan and Ivan on hunger strike

Posted on 2022/11/15 by darknights

On the night of November 12, on a street in Rome, we smashed the windows and ATMs of Unicredit, Benetton and Banca Popolare di Milano and threw firecrackers at RAI in solidarity with anarchist comrades on hunger strike. To Alfredo, Anna, Juan and Ivan goes our boundless solidarity.

A conspiratorial salutation to the Mapuche people in struggle.

Against 41 bis, against life imprisonment without parole and against any jail.
For anarchy.

Greece: Anarchist prisoner comrade Giannis Michailidis starting a hunger strike as a sign of solidarity with the 11 fighters and hunger strikers from Turkey

Posted on 2022/11/15 by darknights

Hunger strike of anarchist GIannis Michailidis as a sign of solidarity with the 11 fighters and hunger strikers from Turkey

On 7th of October, the 11 fighters from Turkey Ali Ercan Gökoğlu, Burak Agarmış, Hasan Kaya, Sinan Çam, Şadi Naci Özpolat, Halil Demir, Anıl Sayar, Harika Kızılkaya, Hazal Seçer, Sinan Oktay Özen and İsmail Zat started an indefinite hunger strike with the main demand of a fair trial.

From today, Saturday 12 November and for one week I am starting a hunger strike in support of their difficult struggle. Their trial starts this Wednesday 16 November in the courtroom of Korydallos prison.

I also want to send a signal of solidarity to the anarchist comrade Alfredo Cospito who has been on hunger strike since 20 October against the torture regime of article 41-bis, but also to the anarchist Anna Beniamino and the anarchists Juan Sorroche Fernandez and Ivan Alocco who are on hunger strike alongside him.

Giannis Michailidis

Does the enemy lie to the right? A discussion about the current series of attacks on Green offices in the Federal Republic of Germany

Posted on 2022/11/15 by darknights

Does the enemy lie to the right? A discussion about the current series of attacks on Green offices in the Federal Republic of Germany

The following text was prepared and published by the new German-language website “Aufstand! “, the birth of which we had communicated with the translation of their introductory text, and refers to an uninterrupted series of attacks and defacements against the offices of the governing coalition party “Die Grüne,” the Greens, that are taking place all over Germany; the latest attack in chronological order dates back to November 7, 2022 when, during the night, the windows of two offices of the Greens and an office of the Social Democrats of the SPD in three different districts of Berlin were attacked with hammers.

A series of attacks on the offices of the governing party, the Greens, is sweeping through the Federal Republic of Germany these days. Sometimes windows are smashed, sometimes the facade is defaced with paint, sometimes there are communiqués, sometimes political slogans are left behind, sometimes not. All of these attacks have something in common: They are an attack against a party that in recent months has increased arms spending, exported weapons, supported wars, but whose policies have also further impoverished people, continued to poison and destroy the environment in which we live-especially through wind turbines, continued to operate nuclear and coal-fired power plants, built liquefied natural gas terminals, and so on. All of this with the arrogant smiles typical of those who are warm and full-bellied, dispensing people with the classic hypocritical advice from politicians who evidently live on another level outside of reality regarding what to do to save on shower, heating and electricity consumption. Meanwhile, these political Greens have not been sparing themselves, signing contracts for new colonial energy projects, further strengthening European borders, persevering with their murderous practices and continuing to promote investments in domestic militarization. The consequences of the Greens’ policies are proving once again (nothing to be surprised at) far more dramatic than the conservative policies of recent years. Faced with a predominant focus on the part of militant antifascism in siding against the populist right wing represented by the AfD (in fact among other things politically less influential than its leftist counterpart currently in power)-and at the same time, however, not hesitating in the face of broad “antifascist” alliances with Green organizations and their youth structures-, these “antifa” should certainly ask themselves the question whether, in fact, they are nothing more than a para-state bastion along the lines of the various communist and fascist thugs of the late 1920s. That then fundamentally this question should be asked by many among those who in fact only wish for a state with a slightly different and agreeable political form. Chile: 4 comrades arrested for the incendiary attack on the meat company “Susaron”

Posted on 2022/11/15 by darknights

On November 3, the BIPE (Brigade of Special Police Investigations) of the PDI arrested 4 comrades accused of the incendiary attack carried out by the ” Grupo de Respuesta Animal” on September 18, 2022 against trucks of the meat company “Susaron” in the commune of Quilicura.

The investigation would have allowed through surveillance cameras to track the car where they were moving, in addition to triangulating the signal of cell phones in the house where they had gathered before and after the incendiary attack.

Two comrades were also charged with possession of ammunition in the homes that were raided and the four were charged with arson.

The three comrades were taken to Santiago 1 prison/company and the comrade to San Miguel Prison.

Active solidarity with the arrested anti-speciesist comrades!

Spain: Update on our comrade Gabriel Pombo Da Silva (October 2022)

Posted on 2022/11/15 by darknights

In concrete terms, the situation of our comrade has not changed much. Here is a summary of the few new developments since the last communiqué appeared on the Internet last April. Up to now we have always said that legally one of the problems to be solved has to do with a deliberate confusion in the application of a specific Penal Code. That of 1973 (which corresponds to a sentence of 30 years with the application of the different redenominations accumulated in these decades), in force at the time of the conviction for the events of 1990. Or the 1995 code (which corresponds to a sentence of 20 years without the application of the aforementioned remissions), obviously more favorable in terms of calculation.

We recall that, theoretically, they should always apply the most favorable Penal Code, but we know that the “always” varies according to who you are… Gabriel is still who he is and his determination, constancy and clarity certainly do not play in his favor in relation to time. In any case, Penal Code of 1973 or 1995, he should have been released because he has been detained for many years too long.

With a slowness of biblical times, on July 5 came the good news: his sentence can be recalculated to 20 years (he should be given back many years of life). As always, things are not easy, the times of state justice are physiologically long and we must add the times of political revenge. Said, done: this good news actually corresponds to the pronouncement of the Prosecutor but the last word belongs to the judge who only has to confirm what his colleague said and then submit the new calculation to the other competent courts. It is not difficult to imagine how this judge is taking all the time he can (he has no formal deadline) and that he has not communicated anything so far. No wonder: if they had wanted to apply their own law Gabriel would already be free! Continue reading “Spain: Update on our comrade Gabriel Pombo Da Silva (October 2022)” →

Chile: Communiqué of the “Anti-prison Solidarity Network with Juan and Marcelo” 15 years after the so-called Security Case

Posted on 2022/11/15 by darknights

15 YEARS AFTER THE SO-CALLED SECURITY CASE: MARCELO VILLARROEL AND JUAN ALISTE WITH THEIR FISTS RAISED IN DIGNIFIED RESISTANCE TO IMPRISONMENT AS STATE REVENGE.

On October 18, 2007, a group of people carried out a robbery at a branch of the Banco Security located in the center of Santiago in Chile. In the retreat, two police motorists who were alerted and went to the vicinity tried to stop part of the assailants and clashed with them shooting one policeman dead and the other wounded, thus the expropriators escaped from the police encirclement.

After the events and the death of the policeman, the state operations would be unleashed in a matter of weeks against a universe of subversive autonomous comrades who would be exposed in all the mass media of power: Freddy Fuentevilla (in the street), Carlos Gutiérrez (in the street), Juan Aliste and Marcelo Villarroel (still imprisoned) were immediately condemned by the media, the fabricated public opinion and the rulers in power, while the carabineros began the hunt against them, who were already in hiding, raiding the homes of relatives in Santiago, Valparaíso, Iquique and carrying out multiple operations in Mapuche territory.

Months later (2008) they would be arrested in Argentinean territory (Freddy and Marcelo), convicted (for carrying a weapon of war), spending 22 months in prison and then expelled to Chile. Then Juan would also be detained in Argentina (year 2010) and immediately expelled to Chile. In this way, already in this territory, the comrades would have to face a political trial that would finally condemn Marcelo to 14 years in September 2014 for 2 bank robberies and Juan to 42 years for the death of the policeman, the attempted death of the other policeman and 2 bank robberies. So clear are the figures and reasons why our comrades today are still kidnapped by the state in the prisons of their democracy. Berlin, Germany: Fire of Solidarity for Alfredo Cospito by Autonomous Cell ‘Anna Maria Mantini’

Posted on 2022/11/13 by darknights

In the early hours of 31 October, we set fire to a van belonging to the GA-Tec company. This company for building and facilities management technology is 100% owned by the Sodexo group and runs prisons itself (in England and Chile) and is a big profiteer of the prison industry. The van burnt out in the Lichtenberg district, where a number of cars have been burnt recently.

Not only to cause damage to the company, but out of an inner motivation we could not help but make such an attack against our oppressors. The news that the comrade Alfredo Cospito is being tortured in the so-called “41bis” regime of justice by the Italian state leaves us anything but indifferent. Alfredo is not only to be muzzled, his existence is on the verge of extinction. We unite with his militant push. Together with his hunger strike, we break the total isolation. We also call on all other comrades to take direct action now and decisively shorten the reaction time of the anarchist international struggle. To snatch Alfredo Cospito from the regime of extermination and unleash a revolutionary force in the coordinated offensive. Not to live in prison or in the isolation regime means a great responsibility. In the struggle combined with hunger strikes, we cannot wait until the prisoner also has to go on thirst strike.

Militant campaigns triggered by hunger strikes can open up a substantial anti-capitalist perspective. Metropolises can be transformed into jungles where the infrastructure of the ruling classes could be completely destroyed if its inhabitants decided to do so. Prison profiteers, arms companies, police contractors, construction corporations – their glass facades, vehicles and data lines that are encroaching on the habitats of our class in increasingly dense urban centers or being used to try and protect themselves in their own sanctuaries. Just like how the GA-Tec/Sodexo van we attacked was engulfed in a high-rise precariat housing estate, it could become commonplace for the logistics of power as the intensifying class antagonisms and the militant campaigns of the anarchist milieu develop a common approach.

Solidarity also to Juan Sorroche and Ivan, who immediately joined Alfredo’s struggle and are also on hunger strike.

Freedom for them and also for Giannis Michailidis, Claudio Lavazza and Toby Shone.

Victory to the Mapuche struggle!

Death to the state, long live anarchy!
