Portland, Oregon, U$A: Solidarity Action With Atlanta and the Atlanta Forest Defenders

“On 1/20/23 anarchists in Portland, Oregon went after the UPS shipping center in Portland in retaliation after a comrade was recently murdered by the Atlanta Police.

Anarchists broke somewhere between 10-15 large windows and started multiple small fires within the building. UPS is one of the biggest companies currently donating to the Cop City Project in Atlanta.

On 1/18/23 Atlanta police attempted a raid in the forest that was being protected by forest defenders and once they showed up they opened fire and killed a forest defender.

We want to express our love toward Tortuguita who was also known as Cami, as well as to all their comrades and loved ones.

Atlanta police stole a comrade and friend to many people from us on 1/18/23. few broken windows will never undo what the Atlanta police did but hopefully continued actions can bring the change that Cami wished for and hoped to see one day.

We call for more actions directly toward the companies that are donating to and funding the Cop City project in Atlanta. Forest defenders have a right to stay in the forest, and groups will continue to retaliate until the Cop City Project is cancelled.

On the night of January 20th 2023, 30 mournful anarchists took vengeful action against our enemies for the murder of Cami/Tortuguita in the Atlanta Forest two days prior. We shattered dozens of windows along the glass facade of a Bank of America building in downtown Oakland, destroyed the ATM’s, and repainted the walls with people’s messages of love, memory, solidarity, and rage at the assassination of our comrade before lighting the place up with molotov cocktails.

Bank of America is an enemy of the people and life itself. They currently fund the construction of cop city in Atlanta, the same project that threatens the forest that Tortuguita died defending. They deserve no place in our landscape. We destroyed quickly but tirelessly. Like the peasants in the Jacquerie, the Luddite wreckers, or the Haitian revolutionaries, we seek liberation in the most obvious way: the destruction of what we know is the cause of our suffering. And if we destroy much, it is because we have suffered much. “Vengeance! Vengeance!” is our war-cry.

To our enemies who seek to liquidate our lives and the earth: you will not murder us with impunity! We will strike back, each time more fiercely than before. The more you take from us, the more we have to fight for—the less we have to lose.

Turin, Italy: Incendiary attack on a telecommunications repeater in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito on hunger strike to the bitter end

We learn from the media that on the night of January 28, a telecommunications repeater located in Turin on Via Revigliasco (in a hilly area close to the city) was set on fire. According to various media reports, the fire – which occurred around 4:30 a.m. – resulted in the damage of about 2,000 meters of cables, interrupting service not only for some telephone companies but also for other companies, such as Iren (electricity and gas provider), and for some security systems that use the facility.

The inscription ” Out Alfredo Cospito from 41 bis” was left at the site, in reference to the anarchist comrade imprisoned in the Bancali prison, who has been on hunger strike for more than 100 days against the 41 bis regime (in which he has been imprisoned since May 5) and the hostile life sentence (which is likely to be the final sentence for the comrade at the end of the Scripta Manent trial, which has reached its last trial hearings). Currently, other than the writing found by the repressive forces, no claim or communication regarding the attack appears to have been released.

Thanks to the fires that ignited the beginning of the new year, which inspired and encouraged us, on the night of January 22 we placed flammable material and set fire to the primers against 3 vehicles of PosteItaliane, Italgas and EnjoyEni.

This action is meant to ardently respond to the international call to mobilization for anarchist and revolutionary prisoners.

The attacks that have ignited revolt and empowered anarchist claims around the world in recent months have shown how the conflict has not died down and how at every latitude of the globe there is someone willing to go out of their way to strike at the state and its collaborators.

Berlin, Germany: Fire for Green Capitalism – Solidarity with Alfredo Cospito

In the night from Thursday (the 19.01.) to Friday an electric car charging station at the Engelbecken in Berlin Kreuzberg was set on fire. It happened in a night full of international actions to show solidarity with our comrade Alfredo Cospito. It is reported that he will soon be force-fed, against which he clearly and forcefully opposes. In a letter to his lawyer he writes:
“[…] Life is meaningless in this grave for the living.”

This act is also an act against green capitalism, which is sold as a holy solution to today’s capitalism. This is, of course, nonsense and continues to reinforce mechanisms of oppression that are already inherent in the system today. Among these can be named colonialism, from which many countries in the global South suffer because capitalist companies from the global North plunder the resources there. Because, in order to satiate the rush for an electric mobility, tons of rare earth, minerals and raw materials have to be extracted and thus countless human lives are stolen, families torn apart, communities ruined, ecosystems destroyed. Furthermore, consequences of destructive capitalism, to a lesser extent, are also felt near us. We think of, the people who have defended Lützerath to the end and welcome those who have resisted with all means. Mülheim, Germany: Lützerath is Everywhere! Strabag Vehicle Torched

The small hamlet of Lützerath has made it to worldwide fame after its occupation, although this place had been doomed for a long time. The fight against the eviction and the brutally enforced capital interests of RWE, Strabag and Co. was magnificent, although the destruction of the place could not be prevented. Lützerath is currently the symbol of resistance against the deadly energy policy of the government at the federal level and in NRW (North Rhine-Westphalia). Heraklion, Crete, Greece: Arson Attack Against the Tax Office

After several hours the fire brigade managed to extinguish the fire but the damage to the logistical infrastructure and the building is estimated at tens of thousands of euros.

You who are reading these lines, stop for a moment and ask yourself if your life is a life worth living as a human being. If the answer is no, then you ought to seek out those responsible for dictating your life and undermining your dignity. Evictions of first home owners at the crack of dawn, with armed forces of cops carrying out the vile entreaties of their bosses, taxes, sky-high rents, inflated electricity bills, food and fuel shortages, meagre wages, uninsured work, half pay and bonuses that get returned to the hands of the bosses, cut pensions and a broken health care system. All of this adds up to a suffocating daily life in which you have no time to live.

There are many voices of reaction and more, but all kinds of exploiters make sure to silence and suppress them as much as they can. Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for breaking of windows at a store of Sklavenitis & the town hall in Kaisariani

On Friday 13/01 we chose to attack the store of Sklavenitis and the town hall in Kaisariani causing material damage to the facades of the buildings.

The bloodthirsty bosses are transferring the crisis of capital onto the shoulders of our class. The more they oppress us, the richer they get. The bleeding of our lives, working every day in miserable conditions and not knowing if we will make it through the month with rents, electricity, water and supermarket prices skyrocketing, fills us with rage.

The state sends its minions to murder Roma for 20 euros and evict us from our homes for debts of a few hundred euros. The same, following in the footsteps of other European countries, is passing the new prison code, which makes the lives of prisoners even more miserable. At the same time we see that the resistance of the prisoners to this policy is being fought by the state with revengeful transfers, such as those of Th. Chatziangelou and K. Dimalexis. The state apparatus is heading towards murder and aims at the extermination of the comrades. Their apparent indifference to Th. Chatziangelou, who was on hunger and thirst strike since 19/12, while now (on the day of writing) he continues his hunger strike, was only a choice of theirs. His fraudulent transfer to the Korydallos hospital does not fool us and we know that it is a tactic for our complacency and not a retreat.

The attempt to silence and weaken insurrectionary, anti-authoritarian movements is a standard tactic of the state. Our response must be forceful and unyielding. We will not allow ourselves to be oppressed and robbed of our lives for the self-preservation of states and capital that work against us.
