Six months ago, two of our comrades fell into the hands of the state. On 14/11/2021, an attack on the Piraeus traffic police with the use of Molotov cocktails. A few kilometres away, in the area of Faliro, a blockade was set up by cops who tried to stop a motorbike with our comrades on board which they refused to stop. The immediate reaction of the uniformed cops was to chase the motorbike and a few meters later to ram them with the police car at high speed and risking their physical integrity. Then after the comrades were arrested, they were taken to the GADA (police HQ) where they were held captive without the possibility of contacting a lawyer or family. Early the next morning they entered their homes trying to find some evidence that would show that they were related to the aforementioned attack. Of course, the police thugs only succeeded in their own way to pass the climate of terror to the families of the two comrades and collect useless evidence (empty beer bottles, two computers, a bottle of paraffin oil, a juggling pole and a 1940’s antique gas mask) which were turned into evidence. The following days were followed by a farcical media farce which brought the courtroom before its time. After several days in custody, the two comrades were found to be in custody with an overblown indictment where the prosecutor-investigator’s only concern was to achieve the objective with no room for defence. The indictment given to them is : attempted manslaughter, arson, arson by association, explosion-construction and possession of incendiary and explosive materials , without any evidence to support it and since then they have been detained in the Vlora-Korydallos hellhouses.
The main dispute of the whole case and the sucking of the state and media, was to highlight the application of the new provision of the penal code where now the possession of Molotov cocktails is a felony with the possibility of imprisonment, as it was in this case, with the cronies of this society celebrating. For us, this is not something that seems paradoxical; the Mitsotakis government has shown and stated from the beginning of its mandate that targeting and suppressing the antagonistic movement is one of its primary objectives. One of its main pre-election promises, moreover, was the ‘cleansing’ of the institutions of higher education, as well as the tightening of the penal code.Therefore, we are not falling from the clouds when, in order to show a supposed political consistency in their speech, they send people to prison, let alone anarchists, who always create problems in the world of power.
Our solidarity with every appointed-imprisoned comrade is undivided and uninterrupted.We will always be with the oppressed and those who choose to resist impoverishment by any means and in simple or complex ways. So from our side on Thursday 12/4 we tried to be mentally next to our comrades by closing Patission Street and attacking passing police cars and the squadrons that they approached with stones, fire extinguishers, paints.

On Saturday 9 April, 2022 following the call of the assembly of solidarity with the imprisoned, persecuted and fugitive militants, more than 200 comrades gathered at Exarcheia Square in solidarity with the anarchist prisoner Giannis Michailidis.
During the meeting, which lasted about an hour and a half, the text of the assembly was read, texts were distributed and fliers thrown. Then a march followed through the streets of the dependencies, without the presence of the police or any other problems.
The response to the meeting and the march was another message to the State that the anarchist comrade Giannis is not alone. He has with him the movement of solidarity with the political prisoners that will always give all its strength to break the regime of exclusion that the State and capital have in store for them. The “indefinite” detention regime imposed on the comrade is another example of this brutal repression of the enemy within.

Athens, Greece: Text of two imprisoned comrades
Comrades, we are writing to you from the penitentiary hellholes of Korydallos and Avloras, two more detention centres, both of which aim at our physical confinement and remorse of our political conscience. By making our case public, we would like the reason for our detention and evidence of the practices of the EΛ.ΑΣ National Police used against us to come out.
In the early hours of 14 November 2021 we didn’t stop during a check carried out by a DIAS cops bikes team in the area of New Faliro. Immediately a chase was launched against us by a civilian vehicle that did not bear the characteristics of the service. As white people, we did not receive a plethora of bullets, but in the area of Moschato, the car rammed us while we were moving and threw us on the road (with a high risk of being fatally injured). Our arrest was linked to an attack on the Piraeus traffic police earlier that night, which took place more than three kilometers from the checkpoint (the checkpoint was being controlled by fixed units outside the stinking Skye channel). We were taken to the ΓΑΔΑ, (Athens Police HQ) where we refused to give fingerprints, which, as well as genetic material, were ordered to be compulsorily taken a day before we went before an interrogator in an attempt to identify us with the evidence found in the attack and with previous cases. With invalid evidence against us, it was decided to remand us in custody on the pretext of identical clothing, as shown by video footage from the department.
This case is a fiasco and a desperate attempt by the police to win a major victory and legitimize the new criminal code in the eyes of the public. A decisive role in this is played by the state disinformation media, which first ran to prejudge us, using against us evidence with no legal basis – they talked about a yafka house(safe-house), an explosives manufacturing plant and spread false news about the first Molotov cocktail detention in Greece, thus exaggerating the work of the police and the necessity of the changes in the criminal code. The changes to article 272 and how they relate to the changes to 264 and 270 are intended to spread terror in the anarchist/anti-racist movement, to anyone who resists or questions the sovereignty of the state and its partners. As anarchists we are not surprised by this case and how it has developed so far, we do not believe in bourgeois justice and have no illusions about who it serves. On April 6th was held the hearing of the re-examination court on the precautionary measures for Gianluca and Evelin, anarchist comrades accused of “possession of deflagrant and explosive material, attempted manufacture of improvised explosive devices and possession of deflagrant material with the aim of attacking public safety”, arrested on March 16th on a warrant from the public prosecutor’s office of Genoa and later transferred under house arrest.
Today, April 8th, the comrades were notified of the result of the hearing: the arrest order against Evelin was “annulled for lack of serious evidence of guilt”, therefore the comrade is released from house arrest, while it is confirmed for Gianluca, who remains under house arrest, without any change in the specific restrictions (no communication with persons other than close family members, no leaving the perimeter of the house even to buy food, no receiving correspondence, etc., and periodic checks by the police).

Justice for Anarchist Prisoner Toby Shone!
Anarchist prisoner Toby Shone is being held in the Category B facility HM Prison Parc, a privately run prison in South Wales, despite being in reality a Category C or D prisoner who was eligible for Release on Temporary License (ROTL) on 21 January 2022, according to paperwork he received on 26th March 2022. ROTL is home leave from prison in preparation for release. Category B prisoners are not eligible for home leave.
Despite being found Not Guilty of political offences in court and with no evidence linking him to the website and publication 325.nostate.net, Toby is being held without legal process and without possibility of
redress as a Category B, High Risk prisoner where he is not eligible for ROTL (home leave). A probation official told Toby previously that his categorisation is a consequence of his anarchist beliefs, and the fact that he is considered by the authorities to act on those beliefs. This decision has been taken at a level above the Offender Management Unit (OMU) which is the unit Toby personally deals with.
His beliefs are also the reason that police are pursuing a Serious Crime Prevention Order against Toby which will allow the police to monitor and control all aspects of Toby’s life and monitor his associates for five
years. The Order means he can be imprisoned again for an additional five years should he breach the Order which is so intrusive, it would be

Anarchist prisoner Giannis Michailidis has been imprisoned for more than 8 and a half years in the cells of democracy and 3 years in fugitive status in two different periods. His consistent commitment to the anarchist struggle, his unrepentant stance in front of the executioners of bourgeois justice, his practical questioning of the world of power and bourgeois legitimacy has put him in the crosshairs of the repressive and judicial mechanisms for years.
Giannis was prosecuted on the basis of a trumped-up charge of the mass revolt of the prisoners of Korydallos prison against the violent seizure of the then hunger-striking anarchist prisoner Dinos Giagtzoglou.
A persecution that targeted, without any evidence beyond solidarity texts, all the political prisoners of that period in order to put them in a new regime of hostage-taking, discontinued leaves, transfer from rural prisons, etc. Faced with the risk of prolonging his imprisonment and being transferred from the rural prisons where he was being held Giannis chose freedom, making an escape that allowed him to walk the paths of freedom for which he has fought consistently and at great cost throughout his life. Q: Listeners have probably already had the opportunity to learn about the events that you have lived throughout your long imprisonment in Spanish jails from reading your biography. Let’s start now with the case that led to your current detention in France. What facts does this case refer to?
A: Yes, I have a 10-year sentence set by the Paris Criminal Court on November 8, 2019, for armed robbery and kidnapping. This sentence was recently reduced, a week ago, to five years. And my release date is scheduled for May 16, 2025, so three years from now. This is due to a calculation of the credits for sentence reduction made by the Mont-de-Marsan Prosecutor’s Office, starting from 30 years instead of 25 as the legal limit for the accumulation of sentences in the Spanish system. Well, if this limit had been established by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, if this limit had been enforced, I would have had to be released immediately. Instead, she changed her mind, because she decided that French law should now be applied. A doubly wrong analysis, as my lawyer has already told you in a letter. Technically, it is explained in this way only to understand, in fact, if article 132-23-1 of the French penal code says that convictions pronounced by the criminal jurisdictions of the European Union must be taken into account, on condition that they do not aggravate the situation of the convicted. The legal limit of 30 years of accumulation in French law would therefore be “valid”, in quotations, if I had been sentenced to life imprisonment. This limit would be reduced to 20 years if my sentence had been 30 years, but it is 25 years! So the deliberate error of the prosecutor is obvious.
