With these words that carry the ballast of the innocuous, and the impotence of not being able to embrace you with exorbitant roars and hypnotic, nameless, denying flames, which cross continents and borders.
We sit down to write from our cages with a deep sense of pain, rage and fraternal admiration.
The machinery of global domination considers you so dangerous and unyielding that they have made it a priority to slice away the most threatening portion of your existence. Your zest for life, your pride, joy and lucidity. Because they fear. Because you managed to represent an indomitable threat that was never diluted in words.

From the state captivity of Santiago, Chile. We shout with the brutality of a thousand floods!

$hile/Abya Yala: Communique from different territories of Abya Yala for Alfredo Cospito almost 90 days into his hunger strike against the 41 bis punishment and isolation regime

Public communiqué of anarchist, subversive anti-authoritarian, nihilist anti-speciesist and anarcho-feminist affinities in the face of the current situation of comrade Alfredo Cospito in the Italian fascist prisons almost 90 days after the beginning of his hunger strike.

As comrades who support the anarchic struggle against prisons, prison society and the system of domination, we express through these words our unwavering support for comrade Alfredo Cospito, kidnapped by the Italian state in the prison of Bancali, Sassari, Sardinia; a center of extermination in which the nefarious regime of 41 bis has been applied to him, with the aim of destroying him as a subject and preventing him from maintaining any kind of contact with all his comrades inside and outside of the prisons.

Alfredo has been on hunger strike for almost 90 days demanding the end of the application of the damned regime, which extorts our comrades through the torture of isolation to induce them to give information or die, only in these two situations 41 bis ceases to be applied.

As like-minded comrades we repudiate the torture applied to Alfredo and other comrades, we know that they fear us because of our unrestricted commitment to end the system of domination, a commitment that does not end with torture, nor with prison, nor with death itself, and for this reason today Alfredo is risking his life firmly and without hesitation.

From the territory occupied by the Chilean colonialist state and from different territories of Abya Yala we tell you that the struggle of our comrade is also ours and that the consequences of a bad end to it will be seen and felt everywhere. Like a merciless and brutal volcano that with its channel burns to its wide margins that oppress.

Like a jaguar digging its fangs. Tearing skins, muscles and organs of any intruder.

Your energy floats over our aggressive steps. And your eternal escape impregnates us with the boldness in life that had your animalistic footprint.

Compañero, ancestor and guide. Wherever your enormous existence drained of corporeality roams, here we embrace it from confinement.

Caged by the same bars that imprisoned you, and pointed by the same canons of plastic and miserable understanding of life, its essence and its beauty, which judged you. We smiled at you looking at the clouds and their shapes.

* William C. Rodgers, Bill Rodgers, ‘Avalon’, co-proprietor of the Catalyst Infoshop in Prescott, Arizona, US. He was arrested with 6 others December 7, 2005 as part of the FBI’s Operation Backfire. The FBI were working on information provided by Ferguson, an informer accused of being part of the same ELF cell as Rodgers was accused of being part of. His charge was one count of arson for a June, 1998 fire set by the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) at the National Wildlife Research Center in Olympia, Washington. He was found dead in his jail cell on December 21, 2005.

9 years later, more present than ever! From this time capsule called prison, we remember that afternoon of December 11, when we learned that an animal of our race dared to bite with the joy of very few. And that in his daring the armed tamer who guarded that symbolic institution of power, responded as what he is.
An enemy to the death. Like any uniformed man.
We do not victimize you, savage warrior, wherever your serene gaze may be. We smile knowing the pleasure that shook your heart at the door of that beautiful confrontation with the suffocating reality, with your submachine gun as one more part of your determined and agitated being.

We celebrate your impetus and embrace your example of life. Not as a metaphor or anecdote. But as a daily path and choice.
You are not and were not a hero, you would hate to have seen yourself that way.
But you are a reference of how to counteract the inactive death, of the idea of the duel to death with the existent and its false critics. That many use as a slogan and few embrace until they burn.

Chile: 4 comrades arrested for the incendiary attack on the meat company “Susaron”

On November 3, the BIPE (Brigade of Special Police Investigations) of the PDI arrested 4 comrades accused of the incendiary attack carried out by the ” Grupo de Respuesta Animal” on September 18, 2022 against trucks of the meat company “Susaron” in the commune of Quilicura.

The investigation would have allowed through surveillance cameras to track the car where they were moving, in addition to triangulating the signal of cell phones in the house where they had gathered before and after the incendiary attack.

Two comrades were also charged with possession of ammunition in the homes that were raided and the four were charged with arson.

The three comrades were taken to Santiago 1 prison/company and the comrade to San Miguel Prison.

Active solidarity with the arrested anti-speciesist comrades!

Santiago, Chile: Incendiary Attack on the Medialuna + Grupo Antiespecista Emilia Bau – Nueva Subversión Claim

On September 12, in anticipation of the imminent national holidays, anonymous individuals decided to set fire to the Medialuna1 located at the foot of the Renca hill, causing considerable damage.

The director of the Confederation of Chilean Rodeo, Roberto Concha, said about the attack: “We express our absolute condemnation of the arson attack suffered by our members in the commune of Renca, which caused serious material damage to a place where for six years there have been no Rodeo competitions due to the refusal of the communal authorities (…) This is a place full of Chileanness”.

Soon after, the “Grupo Antispeciesist Emilia Bau – Nueva Subversión”, claimed responsibility for the attack through e-mails to various counter-information pages.

Claim of the incendiary attack

On the night of September 12, days before the beginning of the patriotic festivities, we attacked the galleries and quinchas2 of a medialuna located at the foot of the Renca hill, enclosures that, under “sporting” and “Creole” motives, do nothing more than perpetuate the bad treatment and torture against animal life, as well as the livestock and fishing industry, hunting and vivisection centers.

According to the FEROCHI (Federación Deportiva del Rodeo Chile, founded in 1961 and which, in 1962, by means of an official document from the National Sports Council and the Chilean Olympic Committee, recognizes rodeo as a “sporting discipline”), more than 1,900 rodeos are held each year, demonstrating the systematization of these abusive practices. FEROCHI, the Federation of Horse Breeders, Chilean Huaso Clubs and Gil Letelier, among others, are organizations that are complicit in maintaining these high numbers. Therefore, we must not forget the necessary projection of anti-speciesist actions that seek to put an end to this reality. Santiago, Chile: Incendiary attack burns six trucks and a butcher’s meat packing plant + Claim leaflet

During the early morning of Monday, September 19, even with the patriotic feast in the air, a group of at least 6 anonymous encapuchados (hooded ones) completely overtake the Susaron butcher’s shop on Matta Avenue, Quilicura commune.

With firearms they managed to reduce the guard, and then spray and set fire to about 6 trucks of the meat company.

Before disappearing completely from the place, they throw pamphlets for animal liberation, while the flames begin to spread, setting the meat packing plant on fire.

About 70 firefighters arrived at the site to extinguish the fire, and then the incinerated remains of the vehicles were examined by the PDI. The Undersecretary of the Interior, Manuel Monsalve, said:

“Unfortunately, we have seen during the last weeks the call for several events linked to the defense of animal rights, with which surely most of us agree to protect the rights of animals, but I think no one agrees is with the exercise of violence (….) has no link the defense of animal rights, which is completely legitimate and I think it has earned a space in the agenda of the country, to the exercise of violence that Chile rejects and that we will criminally prosecute.”

JOIN US IN THE HAMBACHER FOREST FOR A GATHERING FOR ANIMAL LIBERATION!

In the factory farms and vivisection labs, our nonhuman comrades are already fighting back. The time is ripe – let’s share skills and perspectives on how to support their resistance! By “anti-speciesism” we don’t mean online activism, vegan capitalism or cop-hugging pacifism – we’re opening a space to plot against human supremacism, and we’ve no need for bureaucratic organizations of any kind.

Many animal rights groups have become a hotbed for fascist/homophobic/cissexist/macho/white supremacist/colonialist views and behaviour. Others promote liberalism, the state or single out human activists as animal “saviours”. We want to build on two years of anti-spe days explicitly pushing against these tendencies, uncompromising in our rejection of all forms of oppression and domestication. Let’s meet each other and make some trouble!

You can find us again in the Hambacher Forest, one of Europe’s largest autonomous spaces, still squatted after almost 10 years. (It’s a forest so be ready to camp).

We want the workshops to be more horizontal this year – you can help us by proposing your own! Some ideas we have so far:

AGAINST SPECIESISM, CIVILISATION AND THE REIGN OF IDEAS

Call for submissions for a new publishing project:

At the forefront of this call is a wish to deepen the conversation between anti-spe and anti-civ anarchists. Whereas these currents are normally kept separate, this doesn’t resonate with us at all – we want to better understand their shared potential. We also want to explore more deeply the topic which, for lack of a better term, might be described as “nihilism”, along with the critiques of ideology, rationalism and in general the civilised obsession with surrendering our lives to daydreams.

We warmly invite our unknown comrades to submit original essays, English translations of beloved texts, poetry, artwork and whatever else potentially relevant to the following topics: anti-speciesism, anti-civ anarchy, nihilism, egoism, gender chaos, rewilding, irrationality. Beyond these more specific concerns, we also wish to pose a riddle: How are we to affirm the here and now, with all its toxic overflows, not pretending to be somewhere else?

Elefsina, Greece: Intervention Against Animal Poisonings

As a minimal sign of rage against anthropocentric cannibalism and the culture of speicism, the following posters were put up in neighbourhoods of Elefsina, Mandra and Magoula.

Modern civilized societies are structured on the basis of anthropocentrism.

They have ample space for prisons, industries, the construction of huge modern psycho cells and other units for the perpetuation of exploitative relations in order to serve the interests of the householders and the bosses.

Any remaining elements of fauna and flora within it are therefore exterminated for the sake of a development that profits from the corpses of animals, human and non-human.

The current suffocating conditions within urban landscapes are coming to make it clear that any individual who goes against the imposed way of life will be suppressed.
