Paris, France: Fire involving a crane at the Baudrière construction site in Montreuil

Posted on 2025/10/26 by darknights

It was in lower Montreuil, in a seemingly quiet neighborhood, that an inexplicable and unexpected tragedy occurred during the night of Wednesday, October 22 to Thursday, October 23. Passersby noticed a sudden glow: the cab of a crane was on fire, causing chaos and widespread panic.

The firefighters were slow to arrive. This gave the fire time to cause considerable, irreversible, and unspeakable damage. Although relatively invisible from the street except for the blackened windows of the cabin, the significant impact of this fire was revealed to us by a source close to the investigation. The cabin, burned out from the inside, is now completely unusable.

The vehicle in question was located on the Imava construction site at 65 bis rue Voltaire, the real estate developer that evicted the squat known as La Baudrière in August 2022. This construction site is currently at a standstill.

Shortly afterwards, we received a text containing an interview with an expert on the event in question. Will it shed light on this very dark affair? We sincerely hope so.

Berlin, Germany: Update on the legal situation of Rigaer94 EN/DE

Posted on 2025/07/20 - 2025/07/20 by darknights

There hasn’t been a legal update by us in the past 10 months. Now a lot of stuff is happening again and we are not sure how this will all turn out. What we are sure about is that the enemies of the house are continuing their actions in order to destroy the house. We will not stop fighting them. Here is a brief overview of the legal status of the house right now and the changes which have been going on.

What is the current situation?

Since most of the remaining rent contracts were canceled last summer, the vast majority of the flats are right now without those rent contracts. There are just five rent contracts remaining in the whole house. It seems like our enemies are trying to get rid of the rent contracts bit by bit, in order to create a legal base for a complete eviction of the house.

Court cases that happened in the last months (or didn´t)

  1.  On September 4th 2024, there should have been an appeal about some of the rent contracts from 1992 in the back house and against the people who were added to these lawsuits, as a result of the raid in October 2021. Before that, the Amtsgericht dismissed those eviction lawsuits against the rent contracts. The court date was postponed because the so-called lawyer of Lafone, Bernau, sent some documents too late to the judges to include them. Since then there has been no new date scheduled for this. You can find a more detailed description here.
  2. The lawyers of Lafone lodged a disciplinary complaint against judges of the 66th chamber of Landgericht II, accusing and suing the judges for allegedly delaying the trials. This disciplinary complaint was declined. We can only laugh at both our enemies fighting each other.
  3. As we published last year, in three proceedings about two apartments in front house as well as one room in the attic of back house, the legitimacy of the letterbox company Lafone was not questioned by the judges anymore. The apartments in front house still did not get eviction orders, though for one of them a person is supposed to pay their alleged ‘rent debts’, about 20.000€. For the room in the attic on the other side, the judges actually seem willing to issue an eviction order. Since we published this information, all those decisions were confirmed by the Kammergericht – therefore, the highest court in Berlin now seems to accept the legitimacy of this letter box company.

Leonid Medved is the “Owner” of Lafone

Part of this change is also that Leonid Medved is now officially listed as owner of Lafone (and therefore R94) on Companys House. He is described as an “individual person with significant control”. It is said that he directly or indirectly holds 75% or more of the shares in the company. (PDF) Medved became registrable as shareholder on 06/04/2016, but the entry note was just published on 25/04/2025. With this first listing in an official document of the company we now have proof of what we have known for a long time.

Info on upcoming eviction court cases

There are a lot of trials regarding our house coming up in September. Besides attempting to get eviction titles for the squatted flats and those who had rent contracts since 1992, Lafone is trying to get rid of the remaining renters of front house by cancelling their rent contracts.

On 17th of September, all of the rented flats of front house will have appeal hearings. The first lawsuits that attempted to cancel those rent contracts were rejected years ago. Aditionally, some of the trials against people who were added to the lawsuits following the raid in October 2021 will happen that day in the same court room. These hearings will happen at Landgericht II.

Also on 17.9., there will be a court case against the Kadterschmiede and Keimzelle. The last eviction lawsuit against Kadterschmiede and Keimzelle was rejected by the Kammergericht. Bernaus appeal against that was declined by the federal supreme court (BGH) in November 2023. In the end of last year, Bernau filed another eviction lawsuit against Kadterschmiede and Keimzelle, starting from scratch.

For all the court cases all the affected parties have to come. That means the accused, but also Lisa Close, the director of Lafone Investments, will be there. Let’s give her a proper welcome!

Call for participation in the court cases

We call for participation in solidarity  at the upcoming court cases. The courtcases will be public (bring ID if you want to go inside).

Genoa, Italy: Ex Latteria Occupata under seizure

Posted on 2024/12/05 by darknights

On the night of December 2, the carabinieri, under the usual order of PM Giuseppe Longo, seized the Ex Latteria Occupata and reported three comrades.
Ex Latteria, like others, is a place that has always opposed the exploitative and repressive logic of the state at war. A place of gathering, frequented by many girls and boys.
After the arrests on May 4th, the prosecutor still wants to tell the tale of defending decorum, that is, the normalized, racist, and alienating everyday life at the expense of every individual’s freedom.
This latest attempt to stifle anger and dissent will not work, you will find us in the streets.

THURSDAY, December 5th from 6:30 PM at Stradone Sant’Agostino
FRIDAY, December 6th at 5 PM at Piazza San Donato

Komotini, Greece: Update from the Defence Actions of the Evicted Anarchist Steki Utopia A.D.

Posted on 2024/02/11 - 2024/02/11 by darknights

A few hours after today’s eviction of the Anarchist Steki Utopia A.D., an open assembly was held in which a large number of people in solidarity were informed about the situation.

As a first move, a reflexive march of 60 people poured into the city centre, with a strong pulse and slogans. It should be noted that although the guards of the university were ordered to call the cops, the presence of police forces was non-existent throughout the protests.

The march ended outside the evicted hangout, where the next steps were discussed. We believe that the eviction of the hangout is a continuation of the state attack on the occupied law school and the arrest of 18 students, 12 of which turned into arrests.

The main persons responsible for the repressive operations are the rector Fotis Maris and the dean of the law school, Michalis Chrysomallis. Neither of them, however, has so far taken responsibility for organizing the above-mentioned actions.

We, for our part, on the one hand, call on the rectorate, if it has a trace of dignity, to stop shifting its responsibilities elsewhere, on the other hand, we assure that we will not choose the path of silence and we warn that nothing will be left unanswered.

OCCUPATIONS ARE THORNS, TO TAKE THEM YOU WILL BLEED

Milan, Italy: Sentence from the trial for the clashes and resistance to the eviction of Corvaccio Squat and Rosa Nera on November 18, 2014

Posted on 2023/07/06 by darknights

Sentence from the trial for the clashes and resistance to the eviction of the Corvaccio Squat and the Rosa Nera on November 18, 2014 in Milan

On Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, the anarchist occupations Corvaccio Squat and Rosa Nera – Occupied Anarchist Space, located on Via Ravenna in Milan’s Corvetto neighborhood, were being evicted with a huge number of trucks, cops, DIGOS, helicopters, and the like.

On July 3, 2023, the trial process for those resisting the eviction and the ensuing day of struggle that lasted well into the evening came to an end, with sentences of up to eight months.

Support the occupations, against all evictions: solidarity and resistance!

To put the facts in context, below is a text published in November 2014:

Corvaccio resists, Corvetto ignites
Communiqué for the evictions of the Corvaccio squat and the Rosa Nera anarchist space

An abnormal awakening for Corvetto on Tuesday, November 18: in Via Ravenna instead of cappuccino and brioche, breakfast with tear gas and barricades.

It is 7 a.m. when the neighborhood, already alert and on the alert for the much heralded “eviction emergency,” notices the approach of a large number of pickup trucks. They head for Ravenna Street and close with vehicles and men two entire blocks with the clear intention of evicting Corvaccio and Rosa Nera. The former is an occupied house in which little less than a dozen rebels have lived for more than two years, while the latter an an anarchist space that for almost eight months has been hosting concerts and aperitifs in support of the prisoners, meetings, screenings and assemblies on various issues of struggle, and where at low speed a drumming class, a screen-printing workshop, a gymnasium and a documentation center are also coming to life.

The fierce press campaign, which for a week now in all newspapers nationwide has been painting those two spaces as the nerve centers of a phantom “black immovables,” turns out to be insubstantial in comparison to the relationships of trust and commonality, which day by day are growing among the neighborhood’s occupants, who are now accustomed to taking to the streets to resist the evictions together. UK: Wales, and West Utilities Attacked (Solidarity with the Cardiff rioters)

Posted on 2023/05/30 by darknights

Source: Act for freedom now!

THEN
A reminder to those whose memory fails them…..

On Saturday 13th June 2020 large numbers of people defied lockdown restrictions to resist the eviction of Glenfrome Road. GRC Baliffs attempted to clear a big traveller site on the old gas works site in Bristol.

Despite the large police presence, and the increased use of state power through the ‘Coronavirus Act’, the eviction went on for over 12 hours and solidarity was strong. GRC failed to evict the site.

NOW
The company that paid for the eviction was Wales and West Utilities.
They have just built a new £4 million Gas Haulage Depot on the Glenfrome Road site, and its up and running so we thought we’d pay them a visit.

In the early hours of Friday 26th May, shots were fired with a slingshot over the perimeter fence of Wales and West Utilities, taking out two large first floor windows… A small reminder that we hold grudges, and that there are many ways to resist.

Wales and West Utilities talk of ‘sustainability’ (the site is part of their “commitment to biodiversity”) and new gas tech… Bristol City Council have helped fund the site. Wales and West own 35,000km of gas pipeline.

Near the depot (unconnected to us) we noticed some graffiti: “Power to the Peaceful!” but we don’t buy that concept…. and have no time for “pacifism”……. in the face of ecological collapse…. we call for rage and rowdy responses. Not peacefulness…

The police were not peaceful when they used grenades at Saint-Soline against those who resisted the mega-basin. Solidarity with Serge Duteuil-Graziani who is in a coma and sustained major head injuries due to the grenades.

The police were not peaceful when they killed Kyrees Sullivan and Harvey Evans in Cardiff this week. Solidarity with the Cardiff rioters!

Many companys with a shiny public image like Wales and West Utilities
pay baliffs to do their dirty work…. Evicting people is big
business, and there will be many more in Bristol this summer.
There were beautiful riots when the ‘Police Crime Sentencing and courts Bill’ (PCSC) was passed (strength to those inside or awaiting trial!).

This action is a reminder that the bill doesn’t just effect those resisting, it also criminalises people’s way of life if they choose not to live in homes made of bricks.

For a summer of disobedience and anarchy!
See you on the streets!

Minneapolis, USA: Public Works Truck Lit on Fire in Response to Evictions

Posted on 2023/03/01 - 2023/03/01 by darknights

On the early hours of the 24th, in response to the eviction of indigenous elders, land defenders and allies from the roof depot in East Phillips, a Minneapolis public works truck near the depot was lit on fire.

Why light a truck on fire?
The city of Minneapolis continues to ignore the most vulnerable people who live here. The roof depot is an abandoned building which the city wants to demolish and use to expand the public works facility. If the depot is demolished in its current condition, it will unearth plumes of arsenic into the air. East Phillips is one of the most diverse neighborhoods of Minneapolis and is already experiencing pollution and environmental racism.

The community of East Phillips has made their demands for environmental justice known for over a year. The community wants the property converted into an urban farm. Despite overwhelming public response, the city is pushing forward with their plan. A burnt-out truck is a small price to pay to protect the health and safety of our neighbors.

We acted autonomously and encourage others to take matters into their own hands.
We stand in solidarity with comrades in Atlanta who seeking to stop the construction a cop training ground in the Weelaunee forest.

Defend the depot
Vive tortugita
Fuck 12

Berlin, Germany: Arson attack on a vehicle of the Greek Embassy

Posted on 2022/09/07 - 2022/09/10 by darknights

Attentively we have followed how the Greek state crushes demonstrations in the streets of Athens. The government of Nea Dimokratia and its judiciary have proven that in the hunger strikes of D. Koufontinas and G. Michailidis, they are ready to let prisoners die rather than give in one step. We know the videos of the lynching with the participation of police officers of Zak Kostopoulos. As well as the execution of N. Sampanis in Perama by DIAS is an expression of a ruthless regime, as is the murder of Vassilis Maggos in Volos. Blood drips from the hands of the Greek authorities.

The new junta thinks it is smart to take advantage of the August vacation period to begin construction of the metro station in Exarcheia. Their goal is to destroy every social base and occupy every place of resistance with troops. The evictions of squats in Thessaloniki and the police invasion of the university there have not escaped us either.

Everywhere the Greek state encounters resistance from parts of society. We want to support this resistance in order to bring down the project of ND. The system of ND, its judiciary and its cops, is the state of rapists. The release of rapists and the simultaneous attack on a feminist demonstration in July in Athens, symbolizes the values of Mitsotakis’ government.

At the same time, the killings at Greece’s borders continue. In league with FRONTEX and mercenaries, Greek authorities are responsible for the daily deaths at the gates of the European fortress. Continue reading “Berlin, Germany: Arson attack on a vehicle of the Greek Embassy” →

Thessaloniki, Greece: Poster for the evicted squat 111

Posted on 2022/08/06 - 2022/08/14 by darknights

Poster for the evicted squat 111 that will be stuck on the streets in the coming days. Below is the text of the occupation and comrades.

In the early morning of Friday 22 July armoured forces of repression entered squat 111 and then evicted it and sealed it with an armoured door, the measures of which seem to have been taken in advance. They confiscated material and, in collaboration with the ever-willing establishment, tried to create an impression, among other things, with sharp kitchen knives and beer.

What is ultimately a squat has been an internal preoccupation from the beginning of their history. It’s the walls; it’s the relationships; it all gets complicated and changed in the course of the scythe of history. All, however, are elevated to full-light stars that point the way to the struggle for freedom and life. Simple as that. These walls, stable and immovable until recently, have housed relationships that are strong but complex and fluid in nature. The paradox of the Argo demonstrates the contradiction of this essentialist conception of the detached and self-contained/moving nature of abiotic beings by linking them to their historical position and the perception of the living beings who observe them and yet are life-giving energies for them. Placing them in dialectical relation to the surrounding world. Squats, therefore, are value-wise equally their walls equally their history, their fixed and transient world. Perhaps one of the most important roles they perform beyond the production of public discourse, interventions of all kinds and intensities, events, is the sharpening of consciences. Our squat, our big house, certainly, although it has fallen short in many ways, if it was anything, was a ‘matrix’ of well-ordered steel consciences that, through word and deed, gave and give steadily from their post in the struggle for freedom. It hosted human and non-human animals, material and archival blossoms on the tree of the struggle for the liberation of nature, land, animals and people. The eleven was neither silence nor storm. The eleven was simply a part of the larger silence before the storm we vowed would come. A page in the tomes of movement history, a thorn in the flesh, another crack in the silence of alienation. “Never say you lost something, better to say you got it back.” Not to the state dregs, nor to oblivion, but to the inevitable end of beings. This knowledge to us non-owners, the natives of cities who have always lived trying not to be trapped does not frighten us. Neither wreckage nor loss frightens us. But we are not comfortable with anything less than everything. Continue reading “Thessaloniki, Greece: Poster for the evicted squat 111” →
