On Tuesday night, we placed incendiary devices at a construction machine of the company Hentschke Bau GmbH in Berlin-Adlershof. Already a few years ago, comrades claimed responsibility for several attacks on the infrastructure of this company, which is also responsible for the construction of the prison in Zwickau. The ruling ideology says that it is necessary to keep people in constant fear so that they do not resist patriarchal and colonial oppression and docilely join the capitalist routine so that they can ultimately be shaped and standardized. All the more encouraging are the signs of those who, even in the moment of almost total isolation, confront fear and do not fall silent in their struggle for a world of solidarity, mutual aid and self-organization. As we take it from the words of the Italian prisoner Alfredo Cospito, who has been on hunger strike for over 6 months since last October to fight against the 41bis regime imposed on him:

“I simply cannot live under an inhumane regime as 41bis means, where I cannot freely read what I want, books, newspapers, anarchist magazines, magazines of art and science as well as literature and history. The only way to escape the regime is to give up my identity as an anarchist and sell it to someone else to take my place. A regime in which I cannot have human contact, in which I cannot pick a handful of herbs or hug a loved one. A regime in which the photos of our parents are stolen. Buried alive in a tomb, in a place of death. I will continue my struggle to the extreme, not because of an “accusation,” but because this is not life.”

Although the hunger strike has ended and we are happy to know Alfredo is alive, this does not mean that we will stop fighting against the prison society. On the contrary, his struggle for dignity, as well as the numerous attacks in which comrades themselves risked their freedom, wrote words of solidarity and in this way connected with each other worldwide, have inspired us. The prime minister Giorgia Meloni, with her usual victimhood, went so far as to suspect conspiracies about the coincidence of the start of the hunger strike with the launching of her government.
Another lie circulating is the one about a phantom alliance between anarchists and the mafia, deduced from wiretaps between Alfredo and the only three people he is allowed to see in the prison yard. The State, which decided to lock an anarchist up in 41 bis for the first time, is now instrumentalising the fact that that anarchist speaks to the only human beings he can meet. Sociability groupings which, by the way, are decided centrally by the ministry in Rome! In truth, it was with the creation of the DNAA (Direzione Nazionale Antimafia e Antiterrorismo) that the State wanted to set up a war machine against revolutionary insurgency, a machine that had as its weapons the exceptional tools that hitherto only applied to the anti-mafia. We are witnessing a complete reversal of the facts: those who merged completely different realities into the bureaucracies of the judicial and penitentiary administration are now crying ‘bonding’.

Similarly, we are aghast when we hear again the president of the council Giorgia Meloni assert that she will not negotiate with anarchists. And not just because everyone in Italy knows that the State only negotiates with the mafia. Statements like these denote that those in government have completely lost touch with reality. It is the anarchists who, since time immemorial, have never wanted to deal with institutions.

Anarchists who, as is well known, have no leaders, no ambassadors, no recognised interlocutors. So they have nothing at all to negotiate about. Anarchist conflictuality does not arise from the instigation of a jailed ‘leader’ and is not moderated in exchange for the survival of a comrade held hostage by the executioners of repression. Our conflict arises from visceral class hatred fuelled every day, not by political sophistry, but by exploitation, blackmail, misery, and the injustices of this society. Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for the explosive attack on the house of the First Counsellor of the Italian Embassy – “Carlo Giuliani” Vengeance Cell

Since 20/10 Alfredo Cospito has been on hunger strike against the prison regime imposed on him by the Italian state, under the name 41 bis. Alfredo Cospito has been a prisoner since 2012, having taken responsibility for the shooting of Roberto Adinolfi, director of Ansaldo Nucleare, an action carried out by the Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front (FAI/IRF). Since then the comrade remains unrepentant and continues to be committed to the cause of social liberation. For this reason, the Italian state decided to impose the 41 bis regime on him from 5 May, a prison within a prison where he will be in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day, with one hour of pre-trial detention and meeting with other prisoners, who will be decided by the prison management, imposing full control over him, including which of his fellow prisoners he will associate with. Communication with friends and relatives will be limited to one hourly meeting per month, behind glass, or a 10-minute telephone call where the relative will have to make it from a police station or another prison. His right to possession of books and printed materials is also restricted, as is his correspondence. The exemption regime imposed by the Italian State on political prisoners and detainees through the 41 bis is now promoted for the entire consideration of the sentence and not the 4 years for which it was originally valid.

41 bis is a regime of political, social and sensory extermination, aimed at the complete elimination of all contact with the outside world. The aim is none other than the physical and moral extermination of those who choose the path of revolutionary vigilante justice against the tyranny of the state and capital. The extermination or the forcing of them to renounce their action is the essence of the laws of bourgeois justice, the so-called “anti-terrorist” laws, which provide for special conditions, wards and detention centres, isolation, torture and exterminating sentences, intended primarily for revolutionary organisations and their members, as many as the states label terrorists.

This is where the double contradiction of state terrorism emerges. First, it labels as terrorists those who rebel against the class-imposed terrorism of the rulers, reserving physical and moral extermination through its mechanisms, and at the same time the same mechanisms do not recognise the status of political prisoner or political opponent in those whom they try to exterminate. The State, therefore, cannot do real justice because it cannot speak the truth. Bourgeois “justice” is nothing but a mechanism for imposing and perpetuating class power over society.

Since the 1960s and its own storming of the heavens, the archipelago of the revolutionary, antagonistic movement on Italian soil, with armed guarded marches, occupations of factories and houses, self-motivations, organization of armed feminist movements and revolutionary organizations has proved that nothing is unattainable. From the actions of the BR/PCC in the 90s and 00s, to the attacks of the FAI/IRF and comrade Alfredo Cospito, the revolutionary thread continues to be woven with acts of resistance and emancipation that actively declare that nothing is over, and that revolutionary projects and visions remain relevant and alive in the ranks of the oppressed. And it is this thread, the historical continuity and memory that the fascist Meloni government, and every government before it, wants to silence and eradicate. The Italian state, faced with the archipelago of the revolutionary movement in its territories, has been forced to develop a series of repressive and counterinsurgency tools for decades, of which the 41 bis regime is an evolution. To this day, with the life-long imposition of the 41 bis torture regime, the Italian state is clearly leading its political opponents, those who try to do justice for the oppressed, into isolation and torture. This weekend’s elections were very important for the fate of Europe. No, we are not talking about the miserable staging of the Italian round of elections, but about the referendums held in some occupied territories of Ukraine for annexation to the Russian Federation.

With them, the proxy and regionalized “world war” being fought between Russia and NATO takes a formal turn with important practical consequences. From the moment the Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye officially become part of Russia, Putin’s regime can claim that any Ukrainian attack in these territories will be read as an attack on Russia itself. The result is the order for general mobilization, the proclamation of martial law, and the transformation of its industry into a war economy to defend the homeland.

With this strategic shift, the Russian government moves away from the rhetoric of Special Military Operation – a neologism taken in inspiration from “international police missions,” “peacekeeping missions,” “humanitarian wars,” and other fanciful Doctor Strangelove sorties of the much-hated West – to the declaration of outright war. Demonstrating the farcical nature of any electoral mechanism, which always photographs the power relations between dominants and never an abstruse as non-existent “popular will,” Putin ordered partial mobilization even before knowing the referendum outcome, recalling the first three hundred thousand reservists.

From now on, all those states that have been arming the Kiev regime for months and that have enabled it to resist so effectively and to counterattack with unexpected successes become cobelligerent. Those who arm a state to which war is formally declared are also (almost) at war. Europe and the United States will now have to take responsibility for a conflict that they have fueled by all means, with the aim of bleeding the Russian enemy dry, hoping to achieve maximum results with minimum effort, i.e., by sending Ukrainian ascari1 to their deaths.

Rather than expire in the partisan readings of the court pen-pushers and opposing supporters, which as internationalists and enemies of every state we cannot but reject, reiterating our hostility against all sides in the war, it is worth dwelling on a couple of thoughts.
