An explosive device found in the garden of the one-storey home of well known scum journalist personality Giannis Pretenteris, in the suburb of Neo Psychiko, northern Athens. The device consisted of five dynamite sticks and a timer and it was wrapped in a plastic bag. It is assumed that the perpetrators threw the device over the wall, possibly during the night, but for unknown reasons it did not go off. There was no warning and so far no claim.

Giannis Pretenteris is a typical ‘talking head’ journalist of the newspaper ‘To Vima’ and appears mostly on the disgusting spectacle that is MEGA TV news channel as a contributor to discussions of political content. He is no friend of anarchists speaking out against them, slandering them constantly as terrorists and has done his upmost to defend Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ New Democracy right wing governement. The reason he’s a scumbag has been explained in a previous attack by Direct Action Cells.

On 25/01/2025 at noon we chose to intervene with sledgehammers and paints at the television station ACTION 24 on Skiathou Street. Our movement was a minimal act of opposition to a medium that systematically reproduces the dominant discourse, consciously supports any decisions of the state, constantly kills characters at the discretion of the authorities, systematically incriminates and denounces victims of trafficking.

The reason for this event was the appeal of the cop-rapist Bougioukos in the case of the 19-year-old girl from Ilioupoli. The channel in question hosted Bougioukos last year after his conviction, in an interview of the rapist-pimp laundering, attempting firstly to recreate his character and reverse reality by incriminating the 19-year-old survivor and abusing her once again. The status of the cop who arrested the bastard seems to have been enough for the channel to placate him as the wrongdoer in the case.

The bastards at ACTION 24 have gotten us used to the whitewashing of abusers and rapists and correspondingly the framing of victims. In this context, we remember the disgusting lawyer Balta who, through his intervention in a channel programme, instructed the acquittal of rapists and the incrimination of female survivors, as a second Balaskas. In the case of the child rapist Lignadis, the station’s management had taken a clear stand against the victims.

ACTION 24 is accustomed to speaking the language of power and advocating for the sovereign, whatever form it takes, be it government, or “justice” and repression. Being one of the media on the Pecha list promotes every action of the current government from the COVID era to the present day. He is involved in justifying the many contradictory and repressive laws that have been passed. It participates in covering up all the scandals that have come to light such as the wiretapping, so many direct assignments and kickbacks, the relations of the National Police. and political figures with the Greek Mafia case and the cover-up of the state murder of Tempi. At the same time, it is complicit in the silencing and suppression of voices opposed to the mainstream system.

The latest incident of journalistic misery was the coverage of the events of Ampelokipi which in full alignment with the lies of the EL.AS. presented our comrades as ruthless terrorists condemning them before the trial. They also considered the death of our comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris as a “gift from God”. Together with the other media, the Greek police and the political leadership paved the way for the arrest of our comrades with dubious evidence even for the democracy they claim to represent.

One understands that the reasons why we stand against this journalistic cesspool based in the neighbourhood of Gravas are innumerable. This area, like others, is characterised by the violence of work, unemployment, repression and patriarchy. Poverty, misery and the abuse of more and more of our fellow human beings are part of everyday life. We have every reason as struggling individuals to oppose domination, its word and those who spread it. ACTION 24 has long since chosen a camp and we are against it.

Belarus: Attack on the Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA)

The propagandists of the Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA) harm the Belarusan people on a par with the punishers from Lukashenka’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and special services. All the years of dictatorship they poison the minds of Belarusians with lies and manipulations to please the tyrant. For this we strike a blow to BelTA’s computer network, paralyze the work of pro-government propaganda websites and destroy backups.

The internal network and major websites are compromised.
Domain controllers compromised.
90GB of data (internal documents, accounting, personal data of employees) has been downloaded. The rest is propaganda garbage, it is necessary not to pump out, but to burn.
Wiped out all accounting, workstations, archives, backups, website servers.

Details of the hack

We launched the cyberattack on December 29. The date was specifically chosen so that the propagandists’ New Year’s holidays were “successful”. The attack started right in the morning, when the employees had just arrived at the BelTA office and turned on their computers.

As one Cyberpartisan shares:

And we also wanted to please the honorable Belarusians, so that at least on New Year’s Eve they would have fun, there would be a good reason to celebrate the holiday and drink champagne.

Usually an attack on the internal network of an organization is developed from several weeks to months. But, according to our information, someone had tried to encrypt Belta’s network before, only they didn’t follow through. We knew that the “holes” in the network had not been fixed since then, so we decided to take advantage of it.

BelTA employees do not observe even the minimum rules of computer security and information hygiene. For example, they used pirated software and systems. Therefore, they easily picked up our “cyber bombs” and suffered heavy losses.

As one of the participants in the attack shares:

“When the admins were fussing and trying to put out the ‘fires’, we quietly watched them and continued to mash the servers and interfere with their work.

Now, according to our information, work in BelTA is virtually paralyzed. Employees are forced to try to perform tasks from their home computers. The working equipment refuses to work as it should. Many people have no access to mail and their usual work chats.

We believe that Lukashenka’s propagandists fully deserve it for years of lies, manipulations, and filth against free-thinking Belarusians. They deliberately condone harsh political censorship and repression, including against independent media: seizure of TUT.BY domains, squeezing out of the country the freedom of speech, arrests on political grounds, etc., etc.

By the way, our superiors forbade BelTA employees to talk about our cyberattack.

We won’t be surprised if they will deny everything, as usual, as the usual habit of the regime’s arrogant accomplices. But you all know what happens in such cases.

2006/2007 – Operazione “FAI DA TE”

To give context to the recent Cassation court of our anarchist comrades imprisoned and feeling the blows of repression that is Operation Scripta Manent in Italy that targetted the Italian Informal Anarchist Federation, we translate and repost the communiques of ‘Operation “FAI DE TE” (D.I.Y.) in which the bomb attack by ‘Rivolta Anonima Tremenda – Federazione Anarchica Informale’ against the Carabinieri School in Fossano features. This attack was described as ‘poiltical massacre’ by the scum of the Italian justice mafiosa and formed an integral part of the Scripta Manent trial.

Phase 3: Triple explosive attack in the Turin neighborhood of Crocetta on March 5, 2007

On the night of June 2, 2006, two devices hidden inside two garbage bins placed about ten meters from each other explode in front of the Carabinieri cadet school in Fossano. The two explosions are timed to occur 25 minutes apart. The second device contained numerous bolts. Carabinieri officers attracted by the first explosion thought it was an act of vandalism, so they cleared the debris from the road and moved away before the second explosion occurred

Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for the Incendiary Attack on the House of Babis Papadimitriou by Direct Action Cells

The Direct Action Cells take responsibility for the attack with an incendiary device at the house of the MP of the New Democracy and journalist of SKAI, Babis Papadimitriou, in Metz in the morning of 6/7. Wanting to honour the real freedom of speech that is persecuted and silenced in the Western countries, we gave the name of Julian Assange to the cell that carried out the action. So that we can recall what it really means to silence freedom of speech with persecution, prisons, courts, when a journalist exposes the war crimes and massacres committed by capitalism.

Babis Papadimitriou belongs to this category of SKAI journalists who redeemed the worm work he did for so many years with a parliamentary seat in New Democracy. The Anglo-Saxon model followed by the SKAI television group in defending New Democracy, as Portosalte had said, has another parameter. The function of SKAI as a political reservoir for future executives and MPs of the New Democracy.

We have mentioned the illusion of security offered by the arrogance of a dominant position of a political official or a big journalist. So now Babis Papadimitriou has crawled out of his house in front of the television cameras to protest against the state’s inability to stop terrorists.

A TV puppet with a consciously argumentative speech, whose persona has been skilfully manipulated over the years by the shipowners who have him on their payroll and the political managers of New Democracy. The similarities with Aris Portosalte are many. After all, together they have marked a period when SKAI was outraged by plaguing the social resistance to the imposition of the memorandum programmes. As a journalistic duo they provoked the anger and disgust towards them from the majority of society. People’s lives in the big cities have become so empty. People have ended up dragging their carcasses through a daily suffering and a constant despair just to take a picture of a utility bill at the end of the day and post it on social media with digital cries of futility about a world that leads nowhere and a reality that is unbearable for them in the capitalist machine. People’s eyes have been trained to remain glued to the screens with their brain functions losing touch with their emotions, anger, hatred for the degradation of this rotten world, pain for their neighbor, history, memory, nature. People have been trained to watch the world in a digital reality that runs at ever greater speeds and end up being inert beings in this digital consumption without shaping events. And we, among others, somewhere in the margins of Existence of today, humbly trying to keep the flame alive from the eyes of the people we have lost by our side.

In this way we have honored our dead: We carried the incendiary device for our attack on Real as if we were carrying the remains of the dead of the social war. Two years exactly after the death-state murder of Vassilis Maggos we did this action and the spirit of Vassilis was inside us smiling at us.

At dawn on 13/07 we left an incendiary device of small power on the ground floor of the building outside the door of the Real News – Real Fm snitches. After the external destruction of the door, a fire broke out in the upper part of the building through the duct resulting in the total destruction of the premises of Real News and Real Fm, as well as a shipping company located in the same building. Our action was planned in such a way that no human (or non-human) life such as a passerby, resident, animal or worker/employee would be endangered, as it was, even though Mitsotakis and his mouthpieces would wish for the opposite. We therefore recommend that people keep calm and not eat the lies of the state narrative of events raw because as we will explain below, we live in a reality of lies. For any inconvenience to the working sound engineer of the building due to the murderous negligence of her bosses in not making adequate provision for easy egress of the building, we will seek a public apology from her exclusively, saying in retrospect publicly and humbly that our purpose was to make a symbolic attack. After all we knew the specifications of our action and that it would not put an innocent person at risk in a concrete building in front of Kifissias Avenue in Maroussi. And we reiterate that this is a fact already. It is not a theoretical scenario or an intuition in the realm of probability. It is funny the dimensions and magnitude of the lie given around this issue in the mainstream media, indicative that Greece is one of the countries that are hitting rock bottom in terms of freedom of the press since everything is directed as updates from the government’s mouthpiece. Anyway, we are one of those parts of the working class that is fighting its own struggles alongside many other workers and in no way would we want to harm a sound engineer, but only cause material damage to the building at material cost to their bosses. The crocodile tears of the New Democracy fascists for the worker have provoked our above anger with their crude hypocrisy. I wonder if they ever felt any pain for the many employer murders that have occurred recently such as the electrician Christos Zorbas in the HPEIROS industry or the murder of the COSCO dock worker? Hypocrisy, hypocrisy, hypocrisy… that is all that characterises the vulgarity of those in power. And to clarify the landscape, to answer that if we wanted to kill as presented by the “4th power” i.e. the executive organs of the lie of the state, which are the journalists, we would come one morning with a crowd of workers inside the offices and leave the device. But because we simply did not and do not have such a purpose to endanger ignorant people, obviously for all the reasons in the world we did not choose to do so. Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for incendiary attacks on the Secretary General of the Greek Police Officers’ Union and SKAI journalist Aris Portosalte by ‘Direct Action Cells’

LET FEAR CHANGE SIDES

The Direct Action Cells undertook the incendiary attacks on the homes of the Secretary General of the Greek Police Officers’ Union Evangelos Mantziorou on June 2 in Peristeri and the SKAI journalist Aris Portosalte on June 14 in Vrilissia. Our attacks were carried out in the context of our strategy expressed through the slogan “Fear must change sides”. For the last 1.5 years we have been trying with all our forces to target people who, from their position, staff the Greek capitalist formation. High-ranking police officers, big journalists, government officials, technocrats who plan government policy, judges, have been targeted. At the same time we have carried out incendiary actions against financial and political targets. Our action is aimed at sending a clear message to these puppet masters. Those who from their position participate in the savage attack that capitalism has unleashed on all aspects of our lives are in the crosshairs of the Direct Action Cells.

Their apologetic statements, the terror with which they jump out of bed when they hear the explosions of the devices we place in their homes, the condemnatory statements of the parties and the media, show that we are on the right track. The encouraging comments from our people, our class people, are our strength to carry on. Through our actions we are trying to keep alive the tradition and practice of direct action. To make it clear that our enemies have names and addresses. To prove that our momentum is greater when we become unpredictable and to call on other militants to follow our example.

The choice of the far-right neoliberal university student and his targeting was not the result of a victimhood and a source of disgust caused by his public presence. Aris Portosalte as a persona encapsulates the most extreme aspects of neoliberal discourse in the country and with his shrill voice he challenges and seduces the sympathetic ears of the neoliberal audience. His daily rants are not the opinion of a journalist, as he and those who deplored the attack on his house want to peddle, but the outgrowth of the political footprint of New Democracy in Greece at the cutting edge of its thought and speech production, the media. Like another harlequin, he has taken a leading role in the forefront of far-right propaganda and is doing the dirty work that the ruling party’s political cadres often avoid. Buenos Aires, Argentina: Arrested comrades accused of participating in the arson attack against the newspaper El Clarin.

On November 22, 2021 Molotov bombs hit the façade of the newspaper El Clarin in Buenos Aires. The action was not vindicated, and a few days later, according to the press, the police had come across a series of surveillance cameras where the attackers were identified on their way to the action.

In December, the police arrested a comrade accused of the attack and he is still in custody.

On March 21, 2022, in various repressive operations carried out by the DUIA (Departamento Unidad de Investigaciones, DN: Anti-terrorist), the police arrested five suspects in the attack. According to police versions, through the use of public transportation cards used in the sector, geo-referencing the use of cellular antennas and surveillance cameras, they were able to build the route of the attackers.

The dubious police astuteness allowed them to use social networks to observe the links between some of the suspects and decide to launch the hunt. In order to define the houses to be raided and the links of the detainees, the police installed a surveillance camera around the home of one of those under investigation.

Five arrests were finally made, but one person was released shortly after, and three comrades and one comrade were brought to justice. All of them charged with the crime of “public intimidation”.
