Rome, Italy: Texts and materials distributed during the initiative of 26/11/21 at Bencivenga + Contributions of Alfredo Cospito and Juan Sorroche

Posted on 2022/02/20 by darknights

We receive and publish a series of texts and materials distributed during the initiative in solidarity with the Chilean prisoners, held at the Bencivenga Occupato on November 26, 2021. Two booklets: one on the hunger strike conducted by prisoners in Chile, the other is a collection of texts, many translated from the magazine Kalinov Most, which were intended to better focus the topics of the debate: the specific reality of Chilean prisons, solidarity, fight against prison. There are also two contributions of Juan and Alfredo for the initiative, which they asked to be disseminated.

UNTIL THE DESTRUCTION OF THE PRISON-SOCIETY

(leaflet of introduction to the debate distributed during the initiative)

This initiative was born with the need to send, in our own small way, a gesture of solidarity to the comrades prisoners in Chile who in the first months of this year have undertaken two hard hunger strikes. We want to support them, also through the translations contained in the pamphlets prepared for this meeting, by spreading the determination with which they have carried out their struggle inside the prison, with the aim of feeling it closer to us who are outside those walls and far from those territories. Although at the end of their mobilization the prisoners did not get all that they demanded, it still allowed them to build and establish bonds of complicity, both inside and outside the prison. Ties that have made this struggle transcend barriers and borders and that, since it has clearly positioned itself against all forms of coercion and domination, have made it recognizable and vindicable by refractory people all over the world.

But it is not for simple voyeurism towards distant rebellions that we are here today. With this initiative we also intend to underline our complicity with our comrades who today are prisoners of the State, so that they know that they are not alone. Also in this part of the world we have anarchist prisoners who have recently conducted several struggles inside the prison. Struggles conducted individually or collectively, strikes and mass uprisings such as those of March 2020 against pandemic management inside prisons. Struggles whose quality, to take up a concept expressed with emphasis in the contribution that Juan, a prisoner in the Terni prison, wrote for this initiative, is closely related to the relationships that exist between inside and outside the prison. These relationships are the same on which prisoners and Chilean comrades have repeatedly insisted, stating that “the prison is part of the options of the struggle, it is part of it and therefore, instead of being a parenthesis or a pause, it is configured as one more scenario in which to carry out the clash” and that it is necessary to understand “the prisoner as an active comrade, in struggle, who is in this particular condition as a result of a chosen path that does not end within [those] four walls”. Relationships in which it is necessary to invest if we want to recognize a prisoner as our comrade, as a complicit in the struggle against all power, especially at this time when these relationships are under attack. The latest repressive operations in Italy have in fact, among others, the purpose of hitting the communication between the world outside and inside the prison, putting pressure on the epistolary communication through which prisoners continue to be part of the anarchist debate and struggle, providing reflections, contributions, proposals for action and stimuli for action. Now more than ever it is therefore the time to increase efforts in the direction of greater communication and complicity with the prisoners, having as its objective not mere support in the charitable way, but rather the reinforcement of our offensive capacity against this system of domination and exploitation. Chile: Text of Mónica Caballero in response to the state assassination of Milena Cartes

Posted on 2022/02/02 - 2022/02/03 by darknights

Once again death took a walk around San Miguel, and as on other occasions, the door was opened for her by those who anecdotally work closing them, the Chilean Gendarmerie.

On Saturday, January 29, in a macabre coincidence, Milena Cartes, confined in Tower 5, died after a week of ailments. Tower 5 was the same place where more than 10 years ago 81 prisoners died in a fire.

At the moment the information that has been disseminated about the causes of death of Milena is appendicitis, which worsened to peritonitis, something that (without being an expert) if it had been treated in time is not fatal. Cases like Milena’s in Chilean prisons are counted by the hundreds, there is a long list of deaths in prison due to avoidable circumstances and medical negligence, to which we could add the deaths that no one bothered to investigate.

The death of Milena Cartes will be forgotten unless the real reasons for her death are not disclosed.

Gendarmerie will try to hide and/or disguise what happened.

Rome, Italy: Incendiary attack on two Sirti vehicles by Some dedicated to the cult of fire

Posted on 2022/02/02 by darknights

Source: Inferno Urbano

We receive by anonymous mail and publish:

———-

Inspired by the attack of 28th August 2021, that took place in this city, we acted to set fire to two vehicles of the Sirti company during the night of December 16 .

Sirti S.p.A. is a company specialising in the design, implementation and maintenance of large telecommunications networks.

At the moment it is actively collaborating with Openfiber, the company set up by Enel and shared by Cassa Depositi and Prestiti whose purpose is the installation and management of the fibre optic network in Italy. This infrastructure is of fundamental importance for the technological implementation towards which society as a whole is racing under the impetus of the demands of growth of the capitalist economic system. This will affect the private lives of millions of individuals as well as public administrations, which will be ‘forced’ to adapt to the new European standards, and will also influence the competitiveness of companies as the Fourth Industrial Revolution approaches.

For us therefore attacking this company means to contrast the direct interests of capitalism at the dawn of its restructuring of production and consumption.

If we are writing these words it is to strengthen communication through anarchist action and the struggle against all power and specifically against the current phase of capitalist expansion consisting of the virtualisation of social interactions, ever more pervasive control, ever greater exploitation of workplaces and natural resources and the repression of anyone who publicly organises their opposition to all this. Chile: On the situation of our comrade Mónica Caballero

Posted on 2022/01/08 - 2022/01/08 by darknights

On the situation of our comrade Mónica Caballero Sepulveda, after her brawl in jail with a miserable woman

Last Tuesday, December 28th, our anarchist companion Mónica Caballero Sepúlveda had a verbal and physical altercation with the inmate Denisse Llanos, who was returning from a punishment following another fight she had provoked that same day, in the morning. Monica expressed her refusal to share her cell with this inmate, because of their multiple differences in relation to the behavior of the latter.

It is necessary to say that the decision of the Penitentiary Administration to install Llanos, on her return from the punishment, precisely in the cell of the companion is an obvious provocation, in a context of internal tensions, as the overpopulation and the typical pressure of the prison, and external, as the explosive devices against structures of the Penitentiary Administration were. For this reason, the next day Monica’s relatives went to meet with the OSI staff (in charge of the prison security) and the prison director, Denisse Melgarejo, to whom they expressed all the apprehensions, concerns and uneasiness caused by this serious accident in which our companion was involved. At the same time, we asked for a visiting room, which was authorized, during which we were able to give Monica the support and affection of many people.

We found her strong and dignified. She thanks for all the gestures received.
Moreover, we inform that we will appeal, through the courts, against the punishment, immediately accepted and implemented by the court, which will leave our companion without visit for two weeks. We hold the prison administration responsible for any future harm Monica may receive.

Because the struggle takes place wherever we are!
Because no prison is forever!
Unwavering support for Monica Caballero.

Santiago, Chile: Explosive attack against the National Directorate of Gendarmerie + Claim of “The Black Vengeance”

Posted on 2021/12/29 - 2025/08/18 by darknights

During the early morning of Monday, December 27, 2021, a loud bang shakes the center of the capital. An explosive device detonates against a window of the National Directorate of Gendarmerie, located on Rosas Street at the height of Teatinos.

GOPE personnel quickly arrived at the scene, and the South Prosecutor’s Office, which handles this type of crime, was present, entrusting the OS-9 and Labocar personnel with the investigation. According to the press, it was the Prosecutor’s Office itself which indicated the prohibition to inform and give more information. No pamphlets were found at the site.

Via email, the action is claimed by “La Negra Venganza”, which according to the text would be the same group that acted against a police station in 2020. The text details the use of industrial explosives, as well as ammunition in the explosive device, making an open call to expand this type of practice, to show solidarity with the prisoners and to expand the use of their name, and finally to greet other action groups.

Campaign of attack and revenge against the executioners. Act II

Explosive attack to the National Directorate of Gendarmerie of Chile.

“In a highly self-critical manner, the solidarity actions that are undertaken are generally reactive. There are no actions that are rather offensive… We all know where the guys are, they are walking around in their uniforms, and they do it with total impunity. And we know that inside they are harassing the brothers and sisters, they are making them feel bad, they are humiliating them…”

Mauricio Morales

One year after our first action, as the group that we are, and after much study, tensions, proposals and reflections, we are back. We are back, we continue with the campaign we started some time ago.

We will go in the early morning of December 27, 2021 a few minutes before the clock strikes 3:00 a.m. (The time and day are always proposed, so that the attack in its entirety reaches our targets-enemies) To the National Directorate of Gendarmerie of Chile. Located in Rosas street, downtown Santiago. Continue reading “Santiago, Chile: Explosive attack against the National Directorate of Gendarmerie + Claim of “The Black Vengeance”” →

Anarchic and subversive words from Chilean prisons

Posted on 2021/12/20 - 2021/12/20 by darknights

Faced with the rearrangement of domination and its capitalist perpetuation: Neither boots, nor votes, only struggle!

It seems that, according to what the citizenry proclaims, we are witnesses of a key moment in the history of this territory; that we have cornered ourselves with our backs to a precipice to which, unless we do something, our fall will be imminent; it seems that we are witnessing an open war, fierce, between two political poles at odds at such a level that, like a cold war, endangers the subsistence and future of all beings in the territory dominated by the Chilean State.

On one side the war cry is: “Communism or Freedom”, and on the other: “Democracy or Fascism”. In the face of such a dramatic scenario, we are presented with the key tool to confront this context, capable of stopping this bloodbath once and for all: participation in the electoral processes, in which suffrage will be the liberating weapon.

We are neither blind nor deaf, we walk with full awareness of this and many other events in the territory, we not only distance ourselves, but we declare war on any institutional instance that seeks any perpetuation of the Status Quo.

We are completely unaware of the false confrontation of two supposedly different systems, the axis on which the battle is fought continues and will continue to be that of Democracy and the administration of Capital; the existence of a “struggle” of different policies only attempts to justify the supposed breadth of the democracy-capital system, the “diverse” essence of this and the supposed space for all types of thought; in no way do we want to be accepted by a system or a society that we reject, we do not want our politics to be one more among the options of this system; we want to destroy all options and the structure that sustains them. We have nothing to do with the electoral show and its staging of elections, plebiscites, votes and so on, we consider that this is nothing more than the tightening of the pin, the bourgeois rearrangement of the class for the maintenance of an imposed and existing order in disguise and according to the times. Thessaloniki, Greece: Intervention at MarCom tzelepoglou – Solidarity with Francisco Solar

Posted on 2021/11/25 - 2021/12/03 by darknights

On 24/11, an intervention took place, with leaflets and spray paint, at the company MarCom tzelepoglou, owned by the Chilean Consul, R. Tzelepoglou, as a minimal sign of solidarity with comrade F. Solar

“Prison is another point of struggle at the post-conflict level – the anti-authoritarian conflict is not over for me, it has just changed form”

-M. Caballero

24/7/20 in Chilean territory, anarchists Monica Caballero and Francisco Solar are arrested, accused of parcel-bombing. Specifically, for a bomb that exploded in the Huechuraba police station, leaving a cop seriously injured, – and one that was defused by the GOPE (operational police group), a bomb in the office of Rodrigo Hinzpeter, former minister and current manager of the Quiñenco company (one of Chile’s largest business groups), and finally, for planting two bombs in the Tánica building. Since 24/7, therefore, the comrades have been held in custody and have remained in the cells of the republic ever since.

In the first months of 2021, comrade F. Solar, along with other anarchist and subversive prisoners, participated in a hunger strike that lasted for more than 50 days, demanding the release of Marcelo Villarroel, and against the modification of Legislative Decree 321, while 11 years before, he had put his body as a mound in another hunger strike, for more than 60 days.

The serious health condition of the comrade, but also the expected indifference of the prison administration, led him on 22/09 to request further medical examinations, after an emergency hospitalization, where he was diagnosed with advanced diabetes (on the verge of a diabetic coma). Santiago, Chile: Thoughts of Comrade Pablo Bahamondes Ortiz, “El Oso,” before the start of his trial

Posted on 2021/10/12 - 2021/10/12 by darknights

“…We choose to live on the edge of the abyss and not the ways of docile people who crawl around begging for power” (Excerpt from Célula Nihilista del Ocaso del Fuego. Argentina).

Via Enough Is Enough, Translated by Riot Turtle.

Three years have passed since my arrest, and after a series of legal attempts to hold court hearings in person, the courts refused this possibility without me being able to present a legitimate defense, so that I will only find myself in front of a screen to watch the absurd spectacle of judges, state prosecuters and police officers exercising their power to imprison me for as many years as possible.

“Not to trust, nothing to expect from the judiciary”

– Mónica Caballero

Staying upright in any possible scenario, recognizing oneself as a prisoner of war, remains the path to follow.

Emphasizing that there is nothing to explain or acknowledge to the state for this journey, taking up the struggle against this world of permanent misery.

There have been times of endless learning, there have been times of loneliness and companionship, times of making and building connections, in short… times that cannot be silenced and that certainly make you stronger than before.

I am not the only one, nor will we be the only ones here; many brothers and sisters have been here for quite some time, reflecting the continuity of the tireless struggle for total liberation. And so we have joined together in practice and discourse in the face of the various anti-prison issues, targeting the real enemies and establishing a bond of insurgent fraternity.

A warm hug to all who have shown active solidarity with the prisoners in various territories.

A complicit salute to our subversive and anarchist brothers and sisters for their mutual support.

The comrades Mónica Caballero, Francisco Solar, Luis Avaca, Ignacio Avaca, Marcelo Villarroel, Juan Aliste, Juan Flores and Joaquín García… ON THE STREETS!!!

May the subversive practice strengthen and spread the volumes of complicity!!!

Freedom for the subversive, anarchist prisoners, and prisoners of the revolt and the Mapuche!!!

Cancellation of the changes of Decree 321!!!

Destroy the prison society and its supporters!!!

Chile: Text of anarchist comrade Mónica Caballero from San Miguel prison

Posted on 2021/10/12 - 2021/10/12 by darknights

This week marks 8 years since various groups of the Anarchist Black Cross (ABC) and different individuals around the world raised the initiative to maintain a week of international solidarity with imprisoned anarchists, and that this week coincides with the day on which the anniversary of the legal murder of anarchists Bartolomeo Vanzetti and Nicola Sacco by the U.S. government in 1927 is commemorated.

The official history written by the powerful plus the progressive democratic left and a part of anarchism have been especially concerned with creating a victimized image of Sacco and Vanzetti and far from any illegalist practice. All this based on the recognition by the American judicial apparatus that within the criminal process that condemned Sacco and Vanzetti there were many irregularities and that they would be legally “innocent” (information that became known many years after the murder of the comrades). Probably the comrades had no relation with the expropriation of South Braintree, which is important to know and make visible, as it is also important to emphasize that Sacco and Vanzetti were anarchists of action, who propagated anti-authoritarian ideas and exercised different illegalist practices.

In the territory we call the USA in the early 1900s there were several informal anarchist groups dedicated to expropriations and to the spread of ideas antagonistic to domination. Nicola and Bartolomeo actively participated in one of these groups, specifically in the one surrounding the newspaper “Cronaca Sovversiva”. These last elements “the official history” has omitted them as in the same way they have taken special care not to remember the international solidarity that the comrades had during the year 1927. There were many demonstrations of repudiation in different localities of the political/legal/police process, as well as explosions in the name of Sacco and Vanzetti, one of the best known being the action that destroyed the Italian consulate in Buenos Aires.

It is not by chance that those who sustain the Power and its false critics use and make up the history related to Sacco and Vanzetti, certainly it is not the first time and it will not be the last.

The repressive apparatuses of the State break with their own legality constantly: they create montages, rape, torture and a long etc… These practices, for those of us who position ourselves as enemies of the hegemony of Power, should not surprise us… Trusting in the democratic legality of the State is not part of my political construction. This does not mean that I intend to naturalize the abuses exercised by the powers of the State on a daily basis; making visible is not the same as being a victim.

I see a week of solidarity specifically with anarchist prisoners as one more occasion to make visible what happens behind the high walls. Prison for me is yet another scenario of confrontation, which is felt in the smallest and most everyday things.

The first step I took in a prison was a long time ago, since then I have never stopped feeling the solidarity of my comrades, that solidarity I have had in a fraternal embrace or in a beautiful seditious light in some icon of Power.

94 years after the legal assassination of the anarchists Sacco and Vanzetti, nothing and nobody is forgotten.

Those who fight against Power do not cease to be remembered.

Chile: Text of Mónica, Marcelo, Juan, Joaquin, Francisco and Juan before the trial against comrade Pablo Bahamondes: Let’s multiply the gestures of solidarity and insurrectionary complicity

Posted on 2021/10/12 - 2021/10/12 by darknights

Our comrade Pablo Bahamones Ortiz was arrested along with Herny Mendez (today imprisoned in the former penitentiary of stgo) and Hugo Moraga (in the street after an abbreviated trial that sentenced him to 3 years) while they were being transported in a vehicle on September 8, 2018 under an investigation regarding an explosive attack occurred in April 2017 in the Corporation of Judicial Assistance of Melipilla for which the prosecution asks him 13 years in prison. In addition in said vehicle are found various handmade weapons for which Pablo is accused of manufacturing, transporting and carrying weapons and ammunition, specifically 6 shotguns, 1 box of cartridges, 1 revolver and 12 shots, asking the prosecution 23 years, totaling a total of 36 years of prosecutorial request.

His option and positioning for the permanent confrontation that led him to prison has been maintained and deepened inside the prison being an undeniable contribution both in the intra-prison struggles and in those that take place outside these walls uninterruptedly and without pause. This way of understanding and carrying out life in prison breaks with the passive figure of the victim prisoner that places him as a mere recipient of solidarity aid, positioning the comrade as an active subject in the uprising of varied and confrontational initiatives such as the hunger strike that we carried out together for 50 days demanding the repeal of the amendment to Law 321 and for the release of our comrade Marcelo Villarroel.

It is from this combative stance that as anarchist and subversive prisoners we call for solidarity with Pablo during the trial that will begin on September 27th using all the means at our disposal and all our imagination that allows us to generate constant complicit initiatives as well as to strike hard blows to power.
