[GLASGOW] Banner Drop at the Greek Consulate for the 13 years since the state murder of anarchist Alexis Grigoropoulos.

‘A bullet in the heart of Alexandros to close the circle of the statist machine’s omnipotence. A bloodstain on the Messolonghiou pedestrian street to open the circle of rebellion that wrecked the legal order and sowed chaos and anarchy in all cities throughout Greece.’

– Nikos Romanos, Requiem for a Journey of No Return.

As of today, 6/12/2021, it has been 13 years since the Greek state murdered the anarchist Alexis Grigoropoulos. Alexis was shot by two cops, E. Korkoneas and V. Saraliotis, in the neighbourhood of Exarcheia, following minor clashes with the police. As soon as the news of Alexis’s murder broke, a spontaneous insurrection began. Protests, riots, expropriations and occupations of public buildings were but some of the collective expressions of rage. Despite the attempts of state and capital to depoliticise the murder, we must not forget that Alexis was killed because of his political beliefs – he challenged in practice the authority of the police and, by extension, that of the state. This is the violence faced every day by those whose existence the state deems undesirable, those who are a threat to their social order.

13 years later, the spirit of the December revolt is alive in the resistance of the Anarchist/Anti-Authoritarian movement. As anarchists, we stand in solidarity with all insurrections against the state apparatus worldwide, present and future. Our struggles take place in our streets and neighbourhoods, in our workplaces, schools and universities. We will reclaim our space and our lives.

FROM ATHENS TO SCOTLAND, INSURRECTIONS ARE NOT A UTOPIA.

Patras, Greece: Taking responsibility for ambushing cops

Posted on 2021/12/06 - 2021/12/06 by darknights

10 March 2021 we set up an ambush with bins waiting for the cops in the Aguia area. When we saw them from a distance of 20 meters, we came out of the school and threw stones, and 2 molotov cocktails, the police car put the car directly into reverse and left the area, later a DIAS team chased us but lost us in the alley. A cop on the street also got hit by a fire from a balcony and then we burned his shirt.

P.S. Flame, you idiot, watch your mouth. 5 times we’ve chased you and once we beat you if you remember correctly back in the 4th E.P.A. when you walked in and then ran and hid behind cops.

“Does lived experience only tell you where the slave reclines and resigns himself to the yoke, are the master’s arrogance and greed beyond all restraint?”

How long has this been going on? We have almost lost memory of it, overwhelmed as it is by nausea and disgust.
They have caused a pandemic, indirectly or directly. They have worsened its deadliness with completely senseless political-sanitary measures. They have left those affected and worn out to die deprived of the affection of their loved ones. They have banned autopsies that could have contributed to clarifying reality. They have lied about the causes and effects of what’s been happening. They’ve intentionally sowed fear and terror with both hands for the purpose of paralyzing us. They have forced us to stay closed up at home. They’ve put a gag on our mouth to prevent us from breathing and speaking. They’ve forbidden us from moving about, meeting, touching. They’ve killed the outcasts of society who were the first to protest. They created and spread a mass psychosis, putting us against each other. They have made the heart willing to be suspicious, the tongue willing to snitch, the arm willing to lynch. They have made millions of people lose their source of livelihood, throwing them into desperation. They have insulted, humiliated, slandered, sometimes arrested, those who criticized them. They have unleashed a hunt for plague-spreaders against those who have not respected their prohibitions. They have used the Constitution they swore on as toilet paper, still demanding that we respect it on command. They’ve elected a notorious loan shark as head of the government, hailing him as the supreme savior. They have blackmailed first one category, and then all workers, so that they were made unsuspecting guinea pigs of a vaccine. They have praised the virtue of the resilience that adapts, denigrating the vice of resistance that opposes. They have dramatically increased the price of raw materials now essential to survival. They have allowed those nostalgic for the Duce to attack a union’s headquarters so that they can now accuse of fascism anyone who shows opposition to their policies. They now demand that healthy people who go to work demonstrate daily, at their own expense, that they are healthy in order to go to work. Now reduced to being free only to obey, we even have to pay to be exploited…
In short, in less than two years they have trampled down every freedom, humiliated any intelligence, raped any dignity. They disguised their political urgency as a health emergency to achieve a total control of bodies and the territory. And they have done it with attentive candor, without encountering any major difficulties, brazenly, between the tremulous consent of the majority and the well-mannered dissent of the minority. Decades of social peace – occasionally annoyed by some citizenist agitation – has allowed this. Human blood, increasingly artificial, no longer flows with exciting passions, but rather with powerful anesthetics that inhibit action. And where “political responsibility”, “civic sense” or “respect for legality” are not the things crushing the human spirit, there come to be “assembly decisions”, “strategic considerations” or “respect for collective dynamics”.
Stunned and speechless, we find no more words. We don’t even want to find them, the words. Least of all some new social subject willing to repeat them in chorus. There’s something else we need to search for. With stubborness, with fury, with impatience, with ferocity.

Quebec, Canada: Railway sabotage at the Port of Matane

Posted on 2021/12/06 by darknights

During the night of November 22 to 23, the rail line of the industrial port of Matane was sabotaged. After the blockades of the last few days, this action reveals another form of action, the disabling of infrastructures.

A communiqué was transferred in which “friends of the lower river” explained their approach and their precautions:

We have sabotaged the railroad line of the industrial port of Matane. The port of Matane is one of the largest in Eastern Quebec. We melted a section of the rails with thermite*. To make sure that no train would derail we tied the two rails together with copper wire so that the alarm signal would go to CN. We took care to block the rails a few hundred meters further on each side to add a layer of security. Fluorescent ropes were even added. This action is in response to the call from the Wet’suwet’en. We will no longer tolerate the colonial violence of expropriation. Hands off Yintah and all sovereign indigenous territories right now.

If this continues, we will increase the pressure. With this statement, we invite everyone to gather, discuss and develop plans for struggle. Whether it’s banners hanging everywhere, demonstrations, blockades, public discussions, sabotage; conspire.

From Yintah to Appalachia, shutdown Canada!

For those of you who would like to answer the Wet’suwet’en call while diversifying the means of action, you can find here: 16 easy ways to block a railroad – From the anti-nuclear movement to decolonial struggles. (in French)

Canada: Glorious Rage – Rail Sabotage in Solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en

Posted on 2021/12/06 by darknights

Anonymous submission to North Shore

There is nothing left unsaid.

RCMP Out.
CGL off the Yintah.
Defend the Wedzin Kwa.

This is an act of genocide. An active genocide.
An armed invasion by the colonial state.

There is nothing left to say: they do not listen to words.
So just do; that is what we have done.

One recent evening, allies/accomplices went out into the night to pick up where others may have left off in the spring of 2020: targeting rail infrastructure.

Using various methods (detailed below for your reference, education and delight!) we disrupted rail all over so-called southern Ontario throughout the night, hitting nearly a dozen different spots on both CN and CP rail lines. We did this in heartfelt solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en defending their Yintah from destruction, and fuelled our actions with the justified rage we feel towards the RCMP and state for once against invading their territory on behalf of a private corporation.

Rail was a harbinger of colonized settlements and the genocide of Indigenous peoples across so-called Canada, and also an indefensible way to target the kkkanadian economy, so we find it an ideal target as people unable to be standing shoulder to shoulder with the Wet’suwet’en land defenders.

While some crews opted for the copper wire method, others found inspiration in other means of targeting railway circuits – including severing low voltage track circuits and the arson of railway signal bungalows.

Each method used will have tripped the automatic block signalling system into its failsafe setting of “occupied track” – meaning all rail traffic on the impacted track comes to a stop until checked out and in some cases repaired. This also means interferences were safer than any of the militarized RCMP’s three unjustified raids on Wet’suwet’en people.

We encourage others to join us in action. Use your words to inspire others to action – not to beg for change from government bodies complicit in an active genocide.

Shut it down. That’s all there is left to do.
Never Cede
Never Surrender.
Burn it to the ground if that’s what it takes.

Thessaloniki, Greece: Taking responsibility for an attack on a bank by Μητροπολιτική Ομάδα Καταστροφών [Metropolitan Catastrophes Group]

6/12 marks the 13th anniversary of the murder of the anarchist student Alexandros Grigoropoulos by the cops Korkoneas and Saraliotis. “Normality” died overnight. The straw that broke the camel’s back led thousands of pupils, students, migrants, workers from all over the country to take to the streets, to violent demonstrations, to mass strikes, to attacks against State and capitalist targets.

December 2008 became the vehicle of an uprising that gave hope to those oppressed and excluded by the State and capital. Overnight, after years of social “stability”, the proletarian riots of December reopened the stakes of social resistance and revolution in post-communist Greece. The 2008 uprising, the occupations, the clashes, but above all the realization that we have nothing to lose and the perception that the enemy is not invulnerable, left an important legacy for the resistances in the decade of repression, poverty and exploitation that followed.

Today, 13 years later, in times of crisis, the State is stepping up its attack on those from below. Having abandoned the public health system in the midst of a pandemic, it has chosen the path of repression. It beats up students, abolishes university asylum, targets squats, bans demonstrations, unleashes a wave of persecution against anarchists and militants without evidence with the sole aim of cutting off any prospect of uprisings in the here and now. Athens, Greece: Taking responsibility for the attack on the Acropolis police station

Posted on 2021/12/05 by darknights

Source: athens.indymedia. Translated by act for freedom now!

On Saturday 27 November we attacked the Acropolis police station with molotov cocktails. At the time of the attack the guard cop and 4 undercover cops sitting in front of the police station, at the sound of the cry “murderers” scampered and hid in the building while we set fire to the guard post and the entrance of the police station.

We haven’t said the last word yet, these are Alexi’s days.

It is not remembrance, or melancholy nostalgia. It is the very idea of rebellion against our oppressors and exploiters. It is the fiery flame of yesterday that drives the gestures of resistance of today.

It is not a desire for repetition, but the very reality of exploitation, death politics, totalitarian control, segregation and total state management of the pandemic.

It is the intensity of oppression, of the suffocating present that arms us with the will, the desire, the strength to attack the state apparatus. It is the December 2008 uprising that fills us with the faith that the situation can and must change, that those from below can come back to the forefront by claiming their own lives.

The murder of comrade Alexandros Grigoropoulos on December 6, 2008 by the cops Korkoneas and Saraliotis sparked an uprising in the whole of Greece. Large sections of society appropriated the slogans, the proclamations and the practices of the anarchist space and took to the streets against everything that oppresses and exploits us. Individualidad y grupo anarquista. Gerasimos Tsakalos (Internacional Negra Ediciones)

Toulouse, France: Toulouse Metropole truck burned

Posted on 2021/12/03 - 2021/12/03 by darknights

The fire was set by a Toulouse Metropole truck, which spread to two cars 1m apart and which, given the extent of the fire, licked the facade of the building next door which was 2m away.

The other two cars, nor the building were targeted (although I will not regret the disappearance of two oil-powered cars).

The fire is not controllable once launched, be careful with the houses which would be close to targets.

Italy: One might ask why we should not all want this…

Posted on 2021/12/03 - 2021/12/03 by darknights

On November 11, numerous searches were carried out in various Italian cities and six comrades were notified of precautionary measures: in prison for Alfredo Cospito, under house arrest for Michele Fabiani, an obligation to stay in the municipality of residence and three signatures per week at the local barracks for four other comrades. In this period in which the State takes an increasingly authoritarian path for the management of continuous emergencies that it has contributed to generate, could not miss the umpteenth operation against those who oppose the State and this huge accumulation of limitations, prohibitions, blackmail and punishments.

The accusation is that of having, in various ways, participated in the publication of ‘Vetriolo’, anarchist paper. It is not the first time that the printed paper alone becomes a clue and evidence to trigger waves of searches and arrests. “They wanted to attack the State”, thunder the national and local media. One might ask why we should not all want this, especially at a time when the state with one hand is making strong to the sound of impositions and repression in the streets, and with the other increases the cost of living and launches the release of redundancies.

Complete solidarity with the comrades searched and investigated. Freedom for Michele and Alfredo!
