Thessaloniki, Greece: Molotov attack on riot cops & riot during the 6th December, anniversary of the killing of Alexis Grigoropoulos

Extensive attacks on the riot cops in the center of Thessaloniki after the march for Alexandros Grigoropoulos who was killed by cops in 2008, turned into a riot on 6th Decemeber. Beginning 5th December, there have been extensive riots in Athens and Thessaloniki, protests in many towns around the country, after the shooting in the head of 16 year old Roma kid Kostas Fragoulis. At the same time, the Roma communities in the suburbs of Thessaloniki, Athens and other towns are rising up, fighting with the cops out side the hospital Kostas is being treated in, even outside the court where the cop murderer appeared. Barricades built of burning tyres and vehicles have been erected in their neighborhoods. In Ioannina a cop station was attacked during a protest, in Volos the ruling party New Democracy had its local HQ destroyed, in a Athens metro station a cop was cornered and had to be rescued by the scum of the OPKE special unit, that are also being used to attempt to put down the riots in the Roma areas. Spontaneous attacks are increasing, while the Roma are calling for an insurrection and further protests are planned outside the court and hospital.

The second edition of the book ” What International?” by Alfredo Cospito and many others is now available

The second edition of What International? is finally available, which we are publishing-during the hunger strike undertaken by Alfredo Cospito starting Oct. 20-as a gesture of solidarity with his comrade and of insubordination against the state, which with the repressive Sibilla operation of Nov. 11, 2021, attempted to get the book out of circulation and which, starting in May 2022, with Alfredo’s transfer to 41 bis, is deluding itself into thinking it will permanently shut his mouth. We will not allow them to do that!

Taggia, Italy: Responsibility claim for the arson attack against the MARR vehicles and warehouse in solidarity with the imprisoned anarchists on hunger strike

Portland, USA: Attack on Adidas Headquarters in Retaliation for 2022 Qatar World Cup

A communique and call to action:

Early November 20^th, several hours before the opening ceremony of the 2022 World Cup, we smashed up most buildings at the Adidas North American headquarters in Portland, Oregon. We shattered windows, broke doors and covered walls with paint across the corporate campus, including office buildings, the gym and cafe. Adidas is one of FIFA’s primary long-term partners, and a main sponsor of the World Cup in Qatar this year.

The history of the World Cup is one of death and displacement. Every stadium stands upon the dead bodies of workers who built it. In Qatar, over 6,500 migrant workers from South Asia died during the decade of preparations for the 2022 World Cup, forced to work in slave conditions. The World Cup was made possible by hundreds of thousands of migrant workers forced into labor through a combination of physical violence, threats of imprisonment, passport confiscation, debt bondage, and more. Every World Cup involves the violent evictions and displacement of thousands, replacing whole neighborhoods with stadiums and other infrastructure. The entire operation is protected by huge increases of militarized policing and surveillance, with 3,000 riot cops sent from Turkey, 4,500 soldiers from the Pakistan army and forces from the British Royal Navy and Air Force coming to Qatar to enforce control during the World Cup.

All this is enabled by the huge companies that sponsor the World Cup and FIFA in the interest of profit.

We reject the logics of global capitalism and the state, and the endless violence they create together. All that’s left to do is fight back.

Comrades Monica and Francisco,

These words travel to your side from a cell far from your own. They carry with them the same complicit thoughts that crush borders and walls. The same persistence and impatience to return to the paths of fire. These thoughts do not die every day on the bars and uniformed figures that separate us. They remain alive accompanying the same necessity for yet another coherent plan to deliver to fire and gunpowder the order and security of this aging world.

Day by day more and more pieces of sky are being given away to the steel grid. And one question torments my head more and more: is it the concrete that grows taller or is it bowing its head lower and lower? But life itself comes to answer. Prison will not defeat us, comrades. For we remain with the same pride, wholeheartedly committed to the horizon of overthrow.

New formations of direct action are being formed in the territories where we have hitherto declared ourselves irrevocably present. New plans of attack are taking shape, travelling to all the metropolitan centres the deafening necessity of attacking the exponents of violence and exploitation of the oppressed.

Travelling to the present day, the words of the Italian guerrillas of armed autonomy are necessary to remind our tyrants that uncertainty is the most unbearable thing. No matter how many years of captivity may pass, we will remain irrevocably committed to the vein of imprinting theory through practice, proudly defending the anarchist guerrilla war. We are the links in the coherence of the past, present and future of insubordination, rupture and subversion. We will not be broken by incarceration for a moment. For will and necessity in the face of captivity are like the hands of a clock: while time tries in vain to divide them, they traverse individual revolutionary paths beginning and ending always at the same point.

I send you my wholehearted sympathy while holding my breath for the hostilities to come. All our strength to the incarcerated international community of anarchist guerrilla warfare and a raised fist to every fighting initiative that insists on clashing head-on with the order of this world.

Does the enemy lie to the right? A discussion about the current series of attacks on Green offices in the Federal Republic of Germany

The following text was prepared and published by the new German-language website “Aufstand! “, the birth of which we had communicated with the translation of their introductory text, and refers to an uninterrupted series of attacks and defacements against the offices of the governing coalition party “Die Grüne,” the Greens, that are taking place all over Germany; the latest attack in chronological order dates back to November 7, 2022 when, during the night, the windows of two offices of the Greens and an office of the Social Democrats of the SPD in three different districts of Berlin were attacked with hammers.

A series of attacks on the offices of the governing party, the Greens, is sweeping through the Federal Republic of Germany these days. Sometimes windows are smashed, sometimes the facade is defaced with paint, sometimes there are communiqués, sometimes political slogans are left behind, sometimes not. All of these attacks have something in common: They are an attack against a party that in recent months has increased arms spending, exported weapons, supported wars, but whose policies have also further impoverished people, continued to poison and destroy the environment in which we live-especially through wind turbines, continued to operate nuclear and coal-fired power plants, built liquefied natural gas terminals, and so on. All of this with the arrogant smiles typical of those who are warm and full-bellied, dispensing people with the classic hypocritical advice from politicians who evidently live on another level outside of reality regarding what to do to save on shower, heating and electricity consumption. Meanwhile, these political Greens have not been sparing themselves, signing contracts for new colonial energy projects, further strengthening European borders, persevering with their murderous practices and continuing to promote investments in domestic militarization. The consequences of the Greens’ policies are proving once again (nothing to be surprised at) far more dramatic than the conservative policies of recent years. Faced with a predominant focus on the part of militant antifascism in siding against the populist right wing represented by the AfD (in fact among other things politically less influential than its leftist counterpart currently in power)-and at the same time, however, not hesitating in the face of broad “antifascist” alliances with Green organizations and their youth structures-, these “antifa” should certainly ask themselves the question whether, in fact, they are nothing more than a para-state bastion along the lines of the various communist and fascist thugs of the late 1920s. That then fundamentally this question should be asked by many among those who in fact only wish for a state with a slightly different and agreeable political form. Russia: A month of incendiary attacks against the war

On the night of October 16 at about 1:30 am, an unknown person threw a molotov through the window of the military registration and enrollment office, after breaking it, causing a fire inside. This is the second time that the office was attacked in this way, after the first time on May 18, when furniture and personal files of conscripts were destroyed.

Votkinsk (Volga)
On the night of October 14, an unknown person broke into the military registration and enlistment office (where two policemen were standing in front of it) from a neighboring building, broke a side window of one of the offices on the first floor, and threw molotovs inside. The guard at the military office did begin to put out the fire after hearing the sound of breaking glass… but in the process of putting out the fire, many documents were flooded.

On the night October 6 at about 1:00 am, an unknown person threw two molotovs at the military registration and enlistment office. A fire soon broke out in the entrance of the building, but the guards heard the sound of breaking glass and the fire was extinguished before it spread.

Zyuzino (Moscow region)
On October 5, in the village of Zyuzino, an unknown person broke into the territory of a military unit at night and threw four molotovs over the fence of a barrack. Two of the bottles broke and caught fire, damaging the building’s siding.

Salavat (Bashkiria)
On the night of October 3, unknown people threw a molotov into the office of the local branch of the Communist Party (which actively supports the regime in its war in Ukraine). The fire was eventually smothered, but managed to smoke the whole room, covering it with soot. Remember that on September 24, the entrance to the premises of the United Russia party (in power) had been burned in Salavat using flaming tires.

Germany: Aufstand! For Anarchy

The Revolution will not be televised

So what should tempt us to think that the Internet in particular would be a place where today’s revolutionary awakenings would take place? And certainly we are not so short-sighted as to seriously consider this to be the case. Nevertheless, we observe with a certain uneasiness that both the real and the virtual spaces of exchange among anarchists of the German-speaking contexts are fading away. Even though individual projects still receive some attention and almost every tendency of informally organized anarchism has created its own web presence – even though there are still one or two printed and regularly published newspaper projects and dozens and dozens of brochures, books, flyers, newspapers, posters and stickers which are connected to the anarchist idea and wander from hand to hand among comrades – we ask ourselves, to what extent these succeed in carrying the anarchist debate into the public more than sporadically, in the (desperate) attempt to inflame at least a few hearts with the spark of the anarchist idea.

Repeatedly in the past it has been proven that if there is no better alternative, platforms like de.indymedia also have to be used for anarchist exchange. The problem is that anarchist contributions are often deleted there or – perhaps even worse – stand beside deeply authoritarian submissions that absolutely contradict the anarchist idea. No wonder: de.indymedia has always been a platform of the left and will consequently remain so. The fact that more and more decentralized (radical left) alternatives to de.indymedia are currently developing is, in our view, just as incapable of remedying the problem as other strangely conceptualized attempts to create synthesist platforms or even websites of unified organizations selling themselves as contributions to an anarchist debate.

So we want to try with this website, beyond any attempt to pursue synthesist thoughts, to open an informal forum of anarchist discussion, which includes the numerous existing web presences of anarchist projects as well as texts that have not been published on other websites before. It is part of an attempt to engage differing positions in a mutually beneficial debate, not to indifferently juxtapose the contradictory, and we are not afraid to end this attempt should it ever become that.

We choose the form of a web presence reluctantly, in the absence of a realistic perspective to launch a similar project in print or in the form of real encounters, at least in a way that would be accessible from the outside. However, we support all such projects and will likewise discontinue ours at any time should a more appetizing alternative appear on the horizon.

In this sense: Feel free to participate as you see fit and let’s raise the German-speaking anarchist debate to a new level.
