Leipzig, Germany: Tracking device and bug discovered in car

On November 18, 2021, surveillance technology was discovered in a friend’s car, probably belonging to a government agency. It is a larger device with a GPS tracker from the company “u-blox” and a smaller audio recording device. The devices were hidden behind a panel of the front ceiling light. They were connected by a power cable and drew their power from the supply line to the rear ceiling light. A Y-adapter specially adapted to the car model was apparently used for this purpose. The audio unit tapped into the hands-free system’s existing microphone, which was located behind a cover above the rearview mirror. It is not known if the hands-free unit still worked under these circumstances.

Both units were wrapped in foam and gaffa tape, presumably to prevent them from making noise when the car moves. The larger unit has, among other things, a GPS receiver “u-blox MAX-M8”, a card slot with a 16 GB microSD card, a cellular chip “u-blox LISA-U230” along with a Telekom SIM card, as well as a removable three-pin antenna module. The inventory number “2044 ID93 142” is found on the side. Evaluation of the SD card suggests that the device has been in use since at least early September, possibly three months earlier. It can be assumed that the device overwrites cached location data with zeros after it is sent.

The smaller unit contains a voltage converter, a 3.7 V, 550 mAh lithium-ion battery, and a small circuit board. The individual parts are connected with heat shrink tubing. The small circuit board contains, among other things, a 32 GB microSD card and the “NN01-104” antenna from Ignion (formerly “Fractus”), which is designed for the 2.4 GHz frequency band and can thus transmit and receive Bluetooth or WLAN signals, for example. Mobile technology is not present, but it is conceivable that audio recordings were transmitted to the larger device via WLAN or Bluetooth and sent from there, or possibly retrieved from a close distance via WLAN or Bluetooth. For the organs of the state it is just a Wednesday where they use disproportionate violence to stomp on a man in front of his young child, it is just a Wednesday when they handcuffed a man who is not charged with anything and according to them is indicted, it is just a Wednesday when they defame a man and spread the word that he molested a young girl, it was just a Wednesday.

The developments from that moment onwards will be rapid, proving the pre-arranged indictment of the comrade and the unprecedented method of the police to fabricate guilty parties. It is clear that in recent times the ΕΛΑΣ (general greek police) has been seeking the final blow to those who stubbornly resist the pervasive social numbness that prevails. The cases are numerous, the instances where the state attacked the radical part of society in the years of the pandemic are countless. Now we are seeing a substantial upgrading in that it is moving away from brutal repression at the level of street and mass demands to criminal repression aimed at the physical elimination of as many militants as possible. The constant and “infallible” weapon of state repression has been DNA for several years now. Lately, the cases of prosecutions with the sole evidence of DNA have been increasing, here we have to explain what this evidence means and how it is created by the police authorities and their laboratories. Almost all of the prosecutions involving DNA are carried out with mixtures of biological material found on movable objects. DNA in itself is not evidence (not even in pioneering America, which practiced DNA mixture analysis for decades until finally rejecting it as unsafe) and the reason it is not and could not be evidence is that even if it is fully identified with an individual the ease of its transfer has proven to be scientifically frighteningly easy. At 4am in the morning of 11/11/2021, the ROS [Carabinieri Special Operations] raided the homes of dozens of comrades all over Italy on orders of the PM Comodi in an investigation set off by the usual Nobili and Basilone.

Alfredo, in prison for having shot at Adinolfi, CEO of Ansaldo Nucleare, and for ”operation Scripta Manent”, was notified of yet another pre-trial detention; another comrade is under house arrest, four more were subjected to an obligation to remain in their own area with regular signing.

The main accusation is of having constituted and promoted an association with aims of terrorism, an accusation in particular revolving around the paper “Vetriolo” and some articles published in it.

Linked to this operation, the editors of Roundrobin were notified the same evening that they are under investigation: the accusations (threats, incitement to commit crimes, association with terrorist aims) are linked to the publication of some writings which in the cops’ opinion are signed by some of the comrades under investigation.

As Roundrobin we have always wanted to give space to all anarchist ideas and debate and are proud to have published the writings of the comrades under indictment.

Despite the difficulties due to which the site has been on hold for almost a month, we will now recommence giving space to the contributions that reach us, no matter what the shit servants of power think.

DNA cooking up and hostage stories (or about another one of my prosecutions)

Let’s say we have a case file that eloquently includes:

– The Laboratory Expertise Report of the Department of Biological Material Analysis of 4-2-2009 on a number of seized items-evidence, after searching my home.

– The 23-10-2012 Laboratory Expertise Report of the Department of Biological Material Analysis for a series of seized items-evidence, following a search (again) at my home.

Everything is going well, the laboratory tests are inconclusive and the years go by. Until, on 15-5-2021 something (?) happens.

Then as soon as our (well known) Department of Biological Materials Analysis decides to complete our (well-known) Laboratory Expertise Report on seized Objects, after searching (yes, yes, you guessed correctly) my house, on 15-10-2020,

makes an impressive leap in time, going back 14 years. And then just discovers that my dna identifies with what was found on an object, (on 3-7-2007) after an incendiary attack on the cars of G. Voulgarakis and his guard. Voulgarakis, who had recently switched from the Ministry of Public Order to the Ministry of Culture.

Surprisingly, this dna match had not been shown by the 2009 expertise, nor that of 2012.

I am summoned on 4 November to appear before the investigating judge, facing charges of attempted serial homicide and explosion, charges that could lead to several years in prison or a prolonged hostage situation until the case is cleared by the courts.

I can only (stoically) see this as another battle in a war I have been fighting for 37 years (since I was a 15 year-old student), a war in which I have always been on the side of those “below”, siding with the good old dream of a world without exploitation and oppression.

And in this war I never gave them a break.

Chile: Against the obstacles of the prison guards – Solidarity, agitation and action for the life and health of comrade Francisco Solar!

On September 22, 2021, the anarchist comrade Francisco Solar was hospitalized inside the La Gonzalina prison in Rancagua after being diagnosed with diabetes and found to be on the verge of a coma. Today the comrade is returned to module 2 of maximum security and since then medical staff/prison guards, through negligent and insufficient treatment have tried to stabilize him.

Immediately, both Francisco and part of the solidarity environment from the outside, we began to make arrangements for the entry of a private doctor, to perform a series of tests, modification of the diet and move towards a treatment as autonomous as possible by Francisco, without depending on the mood swings of the jailers who must provide him with insulin.

As expected, the prison guards have given no response or facilities for the entry of a private doctor or the delivery of the medical record of the comrade.

The call is to generate pressure for the entry of a private doctor and the lifting of any obstacle for proper treatment. Therefore we call on all those who feel the urgency of the comrade’s life and health to mobilize and agitate to unblock this situation of prohibitions and obstacles to the comrade’s care.

Letters, militancy, agitation, visits to embassies and all initiatives that each comrade, group or collective deems pertinent within the mutuality. Everything is useful to succeed in bending the infinite prohibitions in the prison world.

Chile: On the events that took place in Rancagua’s company prison last Thursday to subversive and anarchist prisoners

On Thursday, October 21, at noon, in the high security module 1 of the company prison in Rancagua, there was a violent attack by the jailers -more than 50- with the aim of raiding all the prisoners -less than 20- who were in the yard at that time, It is in this context that, faced with the arrogance of the prison guards, the comrades who are currently in that module and a no lesser number of social prisoners, face up to the orders coming from the executioners and refuse them in order to safeguard their unshakable dignity. Perhaps it is necessary to explain here that the general way in which the prison guard operates is to seek to break the will of the individual, ordering prisoners to perform degrading actions such as putting their hands behind their backs, facing the wall or doing squats, all forms of submission constantly rejected by the subversive and anarchist comrades in prison, since they understand that performing this type of actions, in addition to the submission and indignity of the moment, is transformed into a vortex of submission in which the only logical culmination is the complete degradation of the individual; there is no manual that accounts for this analysis, it is the own conscience and the ability to learn from the mistakes of each of our comrades that has led them to choose this path. It is also logical that this type of response on the part of our comrades leaves a bitter taste in the jailers that often culminates in violence… This was one of those cases, after the comrades refused to carry out these actions, the jailers took a step forward and verbally and physically confronted them, which resulted in comrades Juan Flores and Joaquín García being punished for 24 hours in isolation cells, under the arbitrary accusation of “active resistance” and affecting their conduct (an important point to apply for rights such as parole or Sunday release), not without first being beaten and pepper sprayed, in addition to receiving Nazi and patriotic bravado in support of the ultra-right-wing Kast as the only president who would allow the killing of subversives in prison.

It is not part of their policy to play the role of victims, in this confrontation our comrades have not been beaten, they have resisted the humiliating orders of the prison guards, but that does not make them either victims or victimizers, they carry out their daily life in prison with pride, they know they are anarchists and subversives, they do not need the approval of anyone, because they live and practice it in their daily lives. The fact that they are the ones who have received the blows does not mean that this will always be their destiny, they have demonstrated it and will continue to do so; it is the dynamics of the conflict itself. Comrade Pablo Bahamondes Ortiz “El Oso” was sentenced to 15 years in prison

Today, Wednesday, October 20, the oral criminal court of Melipilla sentenced our comrade Pablo Bahamondes Ortiz, “Oso”, to 15 years and 1 day for transporting arms.

To those who assume the conflict against the state and power, let there be no doubt that subversion does not die or stagnate.

Bristol, UK: Anarchist Prisoner Toby Shone Sentenced

Anarchist prisoner Toby Shone was sentenced to 3 years 9 months in prison for 8 drug offences at Bristol Crown Court on October 13, 2021 after Terrorism charges were dropped. He has already served 8 months of this sentence on remand.

The ‘drugs’ were psychedelics and medicinal plants (LSD, DMT, cannabis, THC oil, MDMA and magic mushrooms) found at two of the four properties raided by counter-terror cops in the UK South-West on November 18, 2020 in their hunt for the administrator of anarchist website 325.nostate.net.

Toby was originally charged with providing a service enabling others to access terrorist publications contrary to section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006, fundraising for terrorist purposes contrary to section 15 of the Terrorism Act 2000, and two counts of possession of information likely to be useful to a terrorist contrary to section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000. He had pleaded not guilty to these charges earlier this year and was due to stand trial at Bristol Crown Court on October 6, 2021. However, with no evidence to put before the court, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) was forced to drop these charges on October 1st. This was a landmark attempt by the British State and the deranged Home Secretary Priti Patel to prosecute an anarchist under modern terrorism legislation.

The investigation into 325 continues and cops continue to harass and attempt to intimidate one of Toby’s comrades at her home.

Toby is in good spirits and remains strong. He hopes to delay being transferred to another prison until he has had his annual MRI scan for cancer which is scheduled for this month with his medical team in Bristol, so please continue to send letters of support and birthday cards (it is his birthday on October 20th) to:
