Italy: Stronger Than Death EN/IT/ES/FR/DE

Posted on 2026/03/22 - 2026/03/28 by darknights

EN/IT/ES/FR/DE

There is an enormous difference between the violence of the oppressed and that of the oppressors: the former follows an ethic, the latter doesn’t.
(Sara Ardizzone)

Our ability to speak and communicate does not allow us to venture down the unbeaten paths of personal accountability for the risks we take. Any discussion along these lines remains inevitably tentative and inadequate. To truly seek freedom — in its authentic and complete form, not in the counterfeit versions bestowed and imposed by the state — means entering into the realm of risk inherent in the quest itself. In this realm, our choices — often wild and solitary — carve out a path of no return. Freedom is a quality that is experienced by putting oneself at risk.

We say this without resorting to any rhetorical indulgence: the two anarchists found dead after the collapse of a farmhouse in Rome, Sara Ardizzone and Alessandro Mercogliano, are our close comrades, we are proud to have them as our comrades. The paid hacks, from whose trashy paper we learned of the incident, write about the detonation of an explosive artefact. The attempts to distance oneself, always aimed at ensuring a shameful sense of security, do not belong to us. We are used to never believe what is uttered by the propaganda machine, but if there is a glimmer of truth about the “leaked” information we cannot fail to dwell on the fundamental fact: Sara and Sandro died in action, died in the battle. Social war is not a stunt, a life style or a subculture. It is, first and foremost, a war. Sara and Sandro are a shining example of the inseparable bond between thought and deed which inspires the anarchism, revolutionaries until the very last moment of their lives, and in death. Bristol, UK: Transcript of a talk by anarchist comrade Toby Shone at BASE for International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners, August 2025

Posted on 2026/03/20 by darknights

This is the rough transcript of Toby‘s talk at the solidarity event for anarchist prisoners on August 31st, 2025, at BASE social centre in Easton, Bristol, UK.

Hi everyone

Welcome to BASE social centre, I’m Toby Shone, I’m an anarchist ex-prisoner from the Forest of Dean. I was in the Operation Adream case, which was a co-ordinated international police operation which involved British, Dutch and German police, at least, we could say. I spent three years in various prisons in UK, mostly under 23 hour lockdown in conditions of solitary confinement. I also had 9 months in a secure bail hostel under anti-terrorist restrictions, and 3 months of bail conditions where I had to sign every day at a police station in the Forest.

I want to thank BASE for giving me this opportunity to talk. I’m not going to talk at length. And I want to properly thank all the comrades in Bristol who supported me during my imprisonment. The last time I was here for the International Week of Solidarity event, which was in 2023, I was out on license. As you probably know, the Counter-Terror Police South West had a surveillance team outside, and this event was a major reason cited by the National Security Division for my subsequent abduction back to prison. I have the surveillance report here from the police, so you can see the material on BASE, see the angle where the police took the surveillance photograph from, and see how the Counter-Terror Police South-West regard us. So it gives me great pleasure to be here with you all, to remember our prisoners and write them letters, to eat and exchange with everyone. It has a lot of meaning for me to be here and speak to you. Rome, Italy: Two anarchist comrades slain during apparent explosive accident

Posted on 2026/03/20 - 2026/03/20 by darknights

“I am an anarchist. As an anarchist, I am an enemy of this State as of any other State”,
Sara Ardizzone, Statement in the Operation Sibilla trial to the judge.

20.3.26: Two anarchist comrades, Alessandro Mercogliano and Sara Ardizzone, died yesterday in Rome apparently due to handling and managing explosives in a cottage in the Acquedotti park area. So far there is only mainstream news with the terror lust of the security services where they speculate like ghouls on the lives on the comrades. Postulating theories which mention the usual phrases like “known to the authorities” and casually blame the circle of “Cospito’s group”. It can surely be predicted that there will be a further scavenge by the media and police in tandem at the behest of the Meloni regime, for the “friends and accomplices” of our slain comrades. Alessandro Marcogliano had previous been convicted and sentenced to five years in prison in 2016, accused of participation in the armed group FAI-FRI.

Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the fallen comrades, never a moment of peace for the enemy. Our lives burn with the passion of a thousand suns.

Death to the State

Long live Anarchy

Indonesia: Paramilitaries attempt to murder comrade Andrie Yunus – Statement from the Persaudaraan Pekerja Anarko-Sindikalis (PPAS-IWA)

Posted on 2026/03/20 - 2026/03/20 by darknights

Persaudaraan Pekerja Anarko-Sindikalis, part of the International Workers’ Association (PPAS-IWA), strongly condemns the attempted murder of Andrie Yunus, a human rights activist and Deputy Coordinator of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS). On the night of 12 March 2026, Andrie Yunus was attacked with acid, resulting in burns covering 24% of his body—including his eyes and face especially the right side, chest, and both hands. This act cannot be dismissed as an accident alone, as it was carried out in an organized and planned manner; targeting vital body parts; using tools that are not easily obtained and crucially: and most importantly, preceded by terror and stalking since the previous days.

Andrie Yunus is a worker who has dedicated his life to public interest advocacy and defending victims of human rights violations and state violence who lack access to legal services. Throughout this work, he has consistently called out the State—whose operations are rife with violence, exploitation, corrupt practices, and subservience to the interests of capitalists.

The acid attack on Andrie Yunus occurred immediately after he recorded a podcast on remilitarization and the judicial review of the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) Law. Approximately one year prior, he had forced his way into a meeting room at a luxury hotel where political elites were preparing to pass the same TNI Law—legislation that was later opposed by many groups for weakening the position of civilians in the limited job market. Germany: Switch off the Mitsotakis regime!

Posted on 2026/03/20 - 2026/03/20 by darknights

Mitsotakis is the Prime Minister of Greece and, along with his party, New Democracy, bears responsibility for the authoritarian  transformation of this southeastern pillar of the EU and NATO.

Greece is on the front lines of the war on migration (Pylos massacre, 1), tramples over corpses as a pioneer of neoliberalism and corruption (Tempi train “accident,” 2), has an impressive track record of police killings (3) and also deserves to be held accountable for the imprisonment of comrades in the Ambelokipi case.

Impairing this regime’s ability to act can save many lives. The personnel who, on behalf of the Greek government, commit numerous murders, acts of torture, arrests, and pushbacks, require a constant supply of substantial financial resources and social legitimacy. These resources must be targeted.

The police cooperation agreement reached in December shows the direction New Democracy is heading. The following quote is not satire:

“Citizen Protection Minister Michalis Chryssochoidis and China’s Public Security Minister Wang Xiaohong signed a police cooperation agreement Tuesday in Athens, strengthening ties between the two countries on key security issues. According to a ministry statement, the agreement focuses on combating organized and financial crimes, drug trafficking and managing illegal migration. It also includes provisions for information sharing, technical expertise and officer training to enhance operational capabilities.
Chryssochoidis proposed forming a coordinating committee to prioritize actions against organized crime, aiming to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of both countries’ police services.

The meeting at the Greek ministry was attended by senior officials from China’s Public Security Ministry, China’s ambassador to Greece, the head of the Hellenic Police, and high-ranking Greek police officials, as well as the minister’s diplomatic advisor.
Both sides reaffirmed strong cooperation between Greece and China, emphasizing their shared commitment to addressing common security challenges and promoting social stability.“

(from the regime-controlled media: https://www.ekathimerini.com/politics/foreign-policy/1255251/greece-and-china-sign-police-collaboration-agreement/)

What “social stability” in the Chinese model means for Mitsotakis is evident in the increasing permanent surveillance of several city districts by drones and the crackdown on universities, where any opposition is to be stifled in order to make them compliant as think tanks of the old elites. In drone development, Greek universities are collaborating with ELTA Systems of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), despite student resistance.(4) Continue reading “Germany: Switch off the Mitsotakis regime!” →

Schönerlinde/Wandlitz, Germany: Asphalt plant of VINCI/EUROVIA on Fire – for a black spring, for the prisoners in the Ampelokipoi case

Asphalt plant of VINCI/EUROVIA on Fire – for a black spring, for the prisoners in the Ampelokipoi case

A circular economy of death and destruction

Faced with climate crisis, extractivist devastation, and imperialist aggression, a burning asphalt mixing plant owned by one of the world’s largest construction and infrastructure companies actually speaks for itself. Nevertheless, we would like to say a few words about our motives and the company that has been attacked. Because VINCI/EUROVIA is much more than just a producer of asphalt and concrete. This company embodies pretty much everything we despise and that makes this world a place full of oppression, suffering, and misery: highways, airports, dams, (deportation-) prisons, nuclear facilities, military equipment, oil and gas pipelines, mining, and much more…

Everyone who wants to know already knows – the biosphere is suffocating under the gray burden of civilization, and in the near future, many regions of the planet will be uninhabitable as a result of our imperial ways of life and economic practices. Battles over living areas and resources on an unseen scale seem unavoidable, and the current escalation of military conflicts and the relentless war against migrants on the streets of US cities or at the EU’s external borders are already grim signs of what this will look like. Since long we running out of time. The late capitalist world system is in the midst of profound upheaval, and war is becoming the new normal, while the remaining natural world serves only as a source of raw materials to be plundered before others do.

Companies such as VINCI are benefiting across the entire spectrum from these developments. By constructing nuclear reactors, oil pipelines, and gas terminals (such as the one in Brunsbüttel), the company understands how to secure the future of fossil fuel dinosaurs while simultaneously profiting from the illusion of green energy through huge wind farms and hydroelectric power plants. With its motorway and road network spanning several thousand kilometers and over 70 airports in 14 different countries, built and operated by VINCI, the company is also a major pillar of the global transport infrastructure, fueling, inch by inch, a parasitic system that knows only one direction – and that’s leading straight into ecological collapse. Land grabbing, wars, and genocide are inextricably woven into this system and have enabled the triumph of capitalism, whereby our “wealth” and Western dominance are undoubtedly a product of this deadly (colonial) history. However, in the international scramble for power, influence, and resources, that Western dominance must increasingly assert itself against other players, which leads once again to senseless bloodshed, while creating a good mood in the management suites of the arms industry. ReArm Europe is the battle cry from Brussels to prevail in this conflict, and VINCI is also playing a major role in this front of rearmament and militarization. Therefor the company recently acquired Wärtsilä SAM Electronics, which maintains several German Navy shipyards or provides infrastructure services for dozens of British Army facilities. Wars and environmental destruction, which have always gone hand in hand with the expansion of capitalist exploitation, are forcing more and more people to leave their homes, and never before have so many people been displaced worldwide as today. The „dispensable“ masses of people from the global south are being fought with all severity, and their escape routes have long since turned into mass graves with countless deaths. For those who nevertheless manage to make it all the way here, it is not empathy and compassion that await them, but humiliation, racism, and repression. All of these characteristics, which have shaped the public debate on migration in almost all political camps for years, and thus significantly promote (neo-)fascist tendencies. And here comes full circle. Because even the suffering of refugees can be exploited for profit, and VINCI benefits from the construction of deportation centers and border controls under Europe’s rigorous border regime. Chaos Star – Article from Italian periodical ‘Disfare’ about the repression in Indonesia

Posted on 2026/03/16 - 2026/03/18 by darknights

Article from Italian periodical ‘Disfare‘ about the repression in Indonesia, written by Palang Hitam. Updated corrected version: 18/3/26. We received a report that the only defendants left in Kebon Waru prison is Dena, defendants from the Gentong case and from the attack on parliament case. Adit, Rizki, Tubagus, Herdi, Reksi, Naufal. Others are already free. In the BlackBlocZone case, Komar was re-arrested, but his two co-defendants are released.

Repression and Resistance in Indonesia

In August to September 2025, widespread riots took place in Indonesia across various cities on the Archipelago. It was the largest modern social uprising in the country and it was arguably triggered by the killing of Affan Kurniawan, an online motorcycle courier, who was emblematic of many of the protestors: Marginalized, precarious workers, street people, working and underclasses. Affan was murdered by Brimob mobile brigade police in an armored vehicle, the cops ran him over in front of the crowd in Jakarta. The death happened in the context of an ongoing protest against government corruption, the rising cost of living and police brutality. The killing ignited even greater mass protests, which lead to violent clashes with police and paramilitary law enforcement. Lawmakers and politicians openly mocked the demonstrators, who were only calling attention to immediate social issues that concerned everyone, and pointed to the growing reactionary power of the ex-military regime. Since the riots, the repression has grown even harder.

Starting on August 30, 2025, hundreds of thousands took to the streets in cities including Bandung and Jakarta, demanding not only accountability and justice for Affan, but an end to the entire corrupt political-military-capitalist racket. Anarchist methods and street tactics became widespread, as did anarchist slogans and targets. The government factions, political parties, unions and students associations completely lost control of the narrative. They couldn’t control the anger on the streets and the moment of the revolt was sparked. Many government buildings, corporations, police stations and senior politicians residences were looted and/or burned down. Greece: Eternal Honour to the Anarchist—Member of the Revolutionary Sruggle, Lambros Fountas

Posted on 2026/03/15 - 2026/03/15 by darknights

HONOR FOREVER TO THE ANARCHIST –
MEMBER OF THE REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE, LAMBROS FOUNTAS

On March 10, 2010, in Dafni, preparations for a major operation by Revolutionary Struggle aimed at sabotaging the enforcement of the “memorandum” were in their final stages. The attempt to seize a vehicle that the organisation would use for this action resulted in a clash with the cops. Comrade Lambros Fountas, our beloved comrade-in-arms in the struggle, was killed. Nothing would ever be the same again.

The Revolutionary Struggle—the struggle to block the “memorandum,” the struggle to overthrow the ruling regime and bring about social revolution—suffered a severe blow. The organisation had publicly stated that it anticipated the Greek state’s bankruptcy as a consequence of the 2008 global economic crisis and had demonstrated the scale of its actions, primarily through the bombing of the stock exchange in September 2009. It had spoken of its goals and the opportunities that the economic crisis and the widespread delegitimisation of the political and economic system during that period would open up. It had publicly declared that the only way out of the crisis would be a Social Revolution.

A month later, the first crackdown against the organisation took place, along with the arrests.

The death of our comrade was a very significant event. It was significant not only for us, his comrades in Revolutionary Struggle, and not only for the anarchist movement in which he had been actively involved for many years and was particularly beloved by all his comrades. It was not only significant for Revolutionary Struggle, whose activities had been frozen for two years.

Above all, it was significant for the overwhelming majority of society, which was mercilessly battered by the devastating storm of loan agreements. Lambros was an integral part of a strategy of armed action that unfolded with the onset of the economic crisis and sought, through strikes of great political and economic significance, to prevent the political and economic system—which at that time was in a state of great instability and deep crisis—from regaining its stability.
