Rome, Italy: Claim of the incendiary attack on Poste Italiane in response to the internationalist solidarity call for the release of comrade Marcelo Villarroel

Claim of the incendiary attack against Poste Italiane in response to the internationalist solidarity call for the release of comrade Marcelo Villarroel (Rome, March 18, 2023)

CLAIM OF THE INCENDIARY ATTACK AGAINST POSTE ITALIANE

IN RESPONSE TO THE INTERNATIONALIST SOLIDARITY CALL FOR THE RELEASE OF COMRADE ANARCHIST MARCELO VILLARROEL.

“THE URGENCY OF THE ATTACK DEMANDS FIRMNESS.”
Francisco Solar

MARCH 18: SOMEWHERE IN ROME

We greet the 150th day of our brother and comrade Alfredo Cospito’s hunger strike by giving ourselves the joy of attacking with fire the infrastructure of the Italian state, specifically we set fire to 16 cars owned by Poste Italiane.

Proud to join the campaign of revenge, against the abomination of 41 bis, the hostile life sentence and Alfredo’s death sentence launched against the Italian state, we choose to respond with this attack to the internationalist call to action in solidarity with Marcelo Villarroel 15 years after his arrest and in the context of the permanent campaign for his release proposed by comrades:
– Individualidades Afines
– Red Solidaria Antikarcelaria con Juan y Marcelo (RSAJM)

Against an existent that oppresses us on a daily basis and so that the impetus given to us by the hunger strike of anarchist comrade Alfredo Cospito does not fade, we declare a permanent emergency (which gives us the urgency of our short lives) regardless of the outcome of the struggle our comrade has undertaken.

To the wait-and-see hope of a social revolution we place before the joy of denying the present without being clouded by the future.

10 100 1000 ATTACKS AGAINST THE STATE AND CAPITAL

LONG LIVE ANARCHIST NIHILISM

LONG LIVE THE BLACK INTERNATIONAL

AGAINST THEIR FUTURE: LET US SET FIRE TO THE PRESENT

Nantes, France: The night of the barricades

Posted on 2023/03/18 by darknights

The pyromaniac at the Élysée Palace set the fire. In Nantes, as throughout France, spontaneous calls against the 49-3 brought tens of thousands of people together within a few hours. It was no longer about pensions, but about the “revolution” that was sung in chorus in the demonstration marches.

In Nantes, the repressive apparatus that has terrorized the city for months was caught off guard this time: even with all its grenades, it could not quell the rage.

For several hours, dozens of barricades burned throughout the city center. The whole heart of Nantes smells of burnt plastic and tear gas, but it’s a boost of oxygen: finally, people are raising their heads.

Various shop windows of capitalist businesses are smashed. The CRS1 assaults are kept at bay by impressive fireworks. Many trade unionists hold the street together with the youth. In the Rue de Strasbourg, the BAC2 has to flee under the throwing of Molotov cocktails. A huge fire softens the asphalt. The city center belongs to the demonstrators! Several marches move in different places in a yellow vest atmosphere. In the alleys of Bouffay, you no longer know who is demonstrating and who is coming out of the bars, because “everyone hates the police”. There is singing on the terraces. Luxury boutiques and flagships of multinationals are cleared. Until 1 a.m., the forces of order cannot move without being insulted from everywhere. At 11 p.m., a fire is still burning on the Cours des 50 Otages, and demonstrators are driven away by volleys of grenades. After midnight, the Rue de Strasbourg is still blocked, torn up and torn up again, and littered with projectiles for hundreds of meters. The word “revenge” is written in red letters on a wall.

As soon as the French state does not march several dozen militarized squadrons in our city, as soon as the union leaders do not organize the “dangerous route” requested by the prefecture, the anger of Nantes can finally unleash the full potential of its force. And the numbers don’t matter much, because this night of barricades will have made more noise than the eight previous, well-supervised processions with their tens of thousands of people. Rennes, Nantes, Paris, Marseille or Lyon, the fire is spreading.

After canceling a trip to the Gironde region, Gérald Darmanin (Minister of the Interior) convened all prefects of France this morning for a video conference on the “social situation”. Four more years with Macron are unthinkable for everyone. The calls for an “inter-union” day in a week seem ridiculous. After this night of rage, we should act without delay.

This report on the spontaneous revolt in Nantes on March 16 after the French government imposed its “pension reform” by decree (49.3) appeared on Contre Attaque on 17.32023.

1. CRS, Compagnies républicaines de sécurité. The CRS are a civilian corps (unlike the gendarmes, who are military), trained in anti-insurrection and antiriot techniques.

2. BAC, Brigade anti-criminalité. Plain clothes cops, identifiable in riot/protest situations by their orange arm bands. Used regulary in so called “sensitive areas” such as housing estates (banlieues) or economically poor or even migrant neighborhoods.

Chile: Necessary words. 15 years in prison. Text by comrade Marcelo Villarroel

Posted on 2023/03/18 by darknights

I have been in prison for 15 uninterrupted years. 22 months in Patagonia, territory occupied by the Argentine state where I was detained and the other 13 years and 2 months in the maximum and high security sections of Santiago and Rancagua where I am today at the time of writing these letters.

Necessary letters as an inevitable reference of the passage of time and its implications.

As an inescapable trace of an oiled memory Kon la gazolina ke has lit thousands of barricades and vindictive fires demanding the release of anarchist and subversive prisoners through the years of struggle and resistance inside Chilean prisons.

I have been living for 15 years in high and maximum security confinement regimes in which sensory deprivation tends to be normalized as well as the hostilities of the environment, the structure and the internal order of the whole prison daily where the goal is to break your will and make you a citizen prisoner respectful of all its repressive and authoritarian internal order built to break the indomitable spirit of those of us who walk standing up, dignified and without fear within the prison reality through which we have had to pass.

Even from the captivity I have seen and lived the oblivion and amnesia of the majorities, the comfort and the conveniences of many, the complicit silence and the artful attack of the press and the police, their politicians and all those who in some way or another have made us invisible, defamed and attacked us from the comfort of a computer, from their comfort zones, from their privileged positions as harmless citizens servile to the normality of what exists. Chile: The Wound is still bleeding and the fuse is still burning. A new March 29th. Text of the anarchist prisoner Aldo Hernandez

Posted on 2023/03/18 by darknights

The Wound is still bleeding and the fuse is still burning. A new March 29th. Text of the anarchist prisoner Aldo Hernandez.

Metal against metal, heavy blows at the entrance of the building where that night I slept with my beloved daughter and my brother, the reaction I had before their machine guns and imminent violence to which we would be subjected was to wake up and dress my daughter and tell her that the police were coming for me, I managed to tell her that I loved her forever and ever, to be strong and be calm. I stood in front of her in the face of their weapons and arrogance.

Damn cowards, they investigated me for more than a year, followed me, placed cameras, photographed me, listened to me …while they were on my heels and preferred to expose a minor to the violent raid that we lived that early morning of December 22, 2022. Despicable beings that only because of their fear did not stop me before, they were clear that this individual would not receive them in a good way, but on the contrary, with all the courage that those of us who carry the confrontation to power and its servants carry, that courage that runs through our veins, that the enemies will never be able to understand. In the pure style of the fascism of the D.I.N.A or the C.N.I. they came to me, I cannot forgive and even less forget that they subjected my daughter to a “subtle interrogation”. I hate them every second a little more, remember that my body is the one that is imprisoned today, my ideas and projects continue to travel illegally through the streets of this territory with the desire to concretize in action what I have reflected with different comrades and sisters and brothers.

I send hugs in this month marked with our blood in the history of which I am also a part. Encouragement and strength to those who make memory a daily exercise to nourish us. On certain dates the streets are ours and we can give way to the possibility of attack against the different police, those who carry in their history and uniforms the blood and pain that we have been forced to feel for the loss of beautiful loved ones.

FIRE AND EXPLOSIONS TO THE LAIRS OF THE ENEMY. SHOT BY SHOT AND BLASTS TO THEIR UNIFORMS. YOUNG COMBATANTS OF YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW WILL CONTINUE TO BE PRESENT, IN THE STREETS WITNESS OF OUR COURAGE AND INSURRECTIONAL CONVICTION. MARCH 29TH NOBODY IS FORGOTTEN.

My warmest greetings and complicity to the beautiful and historic population of La Victoria, to the beloved Villa Francia where the words of Luisa Toledo and Manuel Vergara are echoes that resound loudly in every passage and avenue forever, to the brothers and sisters of Lo Hermida and Peñalolen who create scenarios of confrontations, to La Pincoya that does not forget its subversive and rebellious character.

Chile: Words from Monica, Mawvnhko and Itamar on the occasion of another March 8th

Posted on 2023/03/18 - 2023/03/18 by darknights

Today 8M millions of women fill the streets of large cities around the world, we gather here again in this space of commemoration and struggle. We wish to keep alive the flame that those rebellious women decided to ignite hundreds of years ago and that today comrades continue to embody day by day from different trenches.

Over the years the struggle against heteropatriarchy has sprouted, resisted and persisted in many territories. Heteropatriarchy is present in multiple areas of our lives, both in our interpersonal relationships and in ourselves, we are constantly learning and unlearning, inhabiting new experiences that make us question and reflect from different realities and environments.

The heteropatriarchy hits harder to those who resist the subjugation of their nature, that which the system defines as normal, it is not the same experience that we live indigenous, intersex, trans, gay, non-binary, pans, lesbians. Above all, it is not the same for those who decide to attack every bastion that seeks to dominate and destroy us. For the same reason we do not raise the banners of passive victimhood, on the contrary, we aim at constant confrontation against everything that seeks to subdue us.

Today we want to remember different comrades who with their struggle have nurtured the antagonistic path that we have decided to embrace. Herminia Concha, Luisa Toledo, Cláudia López, Aracely Romo, Jill Phipps, Guilly Peachy. We also wish to emphasize those comrades who have fallen in confrontations or have been assassinated for their fervent commitment to the defense of land, water and territories and animal liberation. Nicolasa Quintreman, Macarena Valdes, Emilia Baucis, the three Mapuche weychafe comrades. Nicolasa fought hard against the installation of ENDESA’s Ralco project in Pehuenche territory. At the age of 74, she was found dead in the artificial lagoon of the same project. Macarena Valdes, seed guardian, defender of water and forests in the Newen-Txagil community, was found dead in her own home at the hands of hired killers from the companies RP Global and SAESA at the age of 32. Emilia Baucis, defender of water and territories, anti-speciesist, part of Lof Llazkawe, was murdered at the age of 25 by hired killers from the Riñimapu condominium in the context of a territorial recovery in Riñiwe Lewfu.

We remember every compañera/e who has been killed for fighting against the killing of animals and the devastation of their habitat. Because we recognize speciesism and patriarchy as two oppressions that share the same system. One seeks the subjugation of other species, considering them inferior, despite their capacity to feel. And the other seeks the oppression and invisibilization of women and dissidences, considering them inferior beings that can be violated and commodified. Therefore, we believe that it is not possible to fight for the liberation of human women and dissidences and ignore the violated females of other species. Belmont, Massachusetts, USA: Bank Of America ATM sabotaged

Posted on 2023/03/18 by darknights

In the last few weeks, comrades in Eastern MA used high intensity glue to render a Bank Of America ATM near Belmont inoperable. As long as they fund Cop City (in addition to countless other exploitative projects), it is our collective responsibility to interfere with their operations in any way we can. This action was not very difficult, and we encourage others to emulate it in their areas. Solidarity to all forest defenders.

A brief overview of modern forensic linguistics methods for determining authorship.

The following article tries to give an overview from a non-technical perspective and to make a corresponding evaluation. There are some academic publications on this topic that could be evaluated for a better assessment. However, my main purpose here is just to raise the issue, not to provide a sound and conclusive view so if you know anything more, publish it!

Avoiding traces that could be your undoing down the road – perhaps even after years or decades – is probably of interest to most people who occasionally commit a crime and come into conflict with the law. Avoiding fingerprints, avoiding DNA traces, avoiding shoe prints and textile fiber traces or at least disposing of clothing afterwards, avoiding surveillance cameras, avoiding tool traces, avoiding recordings of any kind, recognizing surveillance, etc. – all this should be a concern for anyone who commits crimes from time to time and wants to protect themselves from identification. But what about those traces that often arise only after a crime has been committed, out of the urge to explain one’s deed anonymously or even by using a recurring pseudonym? When writing and publishing a communiqué?

My impression is that in many cases no special attention is paid to these traces despite a rapid technological development of analytical capacities. This may be intentional, negligent, or a compromise of competing needs. Without wishing to make a general suggestion here on how to deal with these traces – after all, everyone must determine that for themselves – I would like to outline the methods the investigative authorities in Germany and elsewhere are currently (probably) working with, what seems possible in theory, and what could become possible in the future.

Perhaps I should note in advance that everything or at least most of what I present here is scientifically as well as legally controversial. I am also less interested in the legal validity of linguistic analyses – and not in the scientific one either – than in whether it seems plausible that these investigations could guide a surveillance effort, because even if a trail is not useful in court by itself, it could still lead to other, useful trails. Montreal, Canada: Banner Drop for Welaunee Forest Defenders

Posted on 2023/03/18 by darknights

Anonymous submission to MTL Counter-info

Militarization and expansion of police power is a global threat. The fight back against the Cop City development project in Atlanta mirrors other local struggles everywhere. This solid and long standing frontline struggle represents how the destruction of natural habitats is interconnected with state violence and repression.

At the edge of Welaunee forest, every cop pushed back with fireworks and every piece of construction equipment set ablaze is welcomed with cheer from companions all over turtle island and beyond.

We made and dropped this banner in Montréal in solidarity with all the arrestees in Altanta, even the innocent ones. We will never forget Tortuguita.

Canada: What we know so far about Montreal’s proposed new women’s prison

Posted on 2023/03/18 - 2023/03/18 by darknights

Anonymous submission to MTL Counter-info

Quebec recently announced the construction of a new provincial women’s prison in Montreal, with work slated to begin this fall (2023). The new prison is intended to replace Maison Tanguay, which was closed in 2016. Since then, women have been imprisoned in Leclerc, which was initially a mixed-gender facility, in Laval. The provincial government’s plan is to demolish Tanguay in 2024, and to build the new prison between the old Tanguay site and the still operational Bordeaux prison, in Ahuntsic-Cartierville. The whole project is billed at $400 million.

We want to share some cursory research into the construction plans, in hopes that it will be helpful to anyone considering organizing against the construction of this prison in the coming months and years.

As it stands, construction will begin in fall 2023, with the new prison opening in summer 2029.

The prison will have 237 beds.

The approximate location of the prison is indicated on the map below:

DN Note: We do not encourage the use of Google Maps to do online research, we encourage the non use of online map apps, using instead good old physical maps along with scouting out a site is always more preferable but if really needed there is OpenStreetMaps and of course always with the use of Tails.

The following four contracts have already been awarded by la Société québécoise des infrastructures for work on the project. For each contract we have included a link to the contract details, but downloading associated documents requires an account.

1. Professional services in mechanical and electrical engineering

This contract was awarded to Groupe TT / BPA / ÉDFM, for a total of 7,285,762 $. Their mandate began on January 15th, and will likely end in April 2029.
