Alfredo Cospito: Class hatred and the myth of avenging anarchy

Posted on 2023/01/19 - 2023/01/21 by darknights

We receive and disseminate:

You take away his voice, we give him back his word! A flyer not to forget the words Alfredo has always expressed and for which he is in 41 bis!

CLASS HATRED AND THE MYTH OF AVENGING ANARCHY.

Comrades, now in the FSB building in Arkhangelsk there will be an attack, for which I take responsibility. The reasons for this are clear to you. In response to the FSB repressing, building frames, and torturing people, I have decided to strike it. Most likely, I will die from the explosion because I will trigger the bomb manually. Therefore, I request you to disseminate information about the attack: who carried it out and the reasons. Well, that is it. I wish you to go firmly and uncompromisingly toward our goal. Bright is the future of anarchist communism!

Mikhail Zhlobitsky

(October 31, 2018 attack claim against the FSB in Arkhangelsk, Russia)

It is also absurd to think that the class struggle is over; we are immersed in it up to our necks but unlike yesterday, the barbarization due to technological isolation (which each of us carries with him or her) deprives us of the real per- ception of the phenomenon as a whole. This barbarization entails a return to primordial, savage (thus purer) forms of class conflict. Mediating figures such as “unions” and “parties” are skipped. In the most technologically “advanced” part of the world, the social subject that once characterized the class of the oppressed, the “proletariat,” has been replaced by an undefined and desperate class that has no self-awareness. Meanwhile, hatred, anger have accumulated saturating the air, making it unbreathable and ready to explode at the first spark of the right intensity. This is well known by the powers-that-be, who despite having less good cards in their hands than ours, play them to their best by fueling conflicts among the poor. But they are only palliatives, only barely effective. Unions and leftist parties no longer work. Their firefighting role has been replaced by weapons of mass distraction such as racism and patriotism. But how long can this last? The strategy of pitting poor against more poor is out of breath, time counted. General impoverishment due to the technological wave and resulting unemployment will defuse racism and patriotism, but only if we play our cards right. In the time it takes for us to readjust and to guarantee citizenship incomes (real and not truf faldini1 like those of the “5 stars”2) to everyone, the system will be exposed almost helplessly to our attacks. In that time, hatred will reach its peak and perhaps it will be the good time that anger in this unfortunate country will be directed toward the real perpetrators of misery: the state and the bosses.

Moreover, the popular madness over sovereignism is weakening parliamentary democracy by undermining it from the ground up. This sort of “populism” produces conflicting and irrational drives that are difficult for the very people who unleashed them to manage. Today the possibility that our action can open a breach becomes real. We must have clear ideas, conviction and tenacity to turn hatred from the field, to open the eyes of the exploited. Will and determination can turn back the clock of history, making us start again where we began to lose those two irreplaceable qualities. A century ago, we were overwhelmed by the force of an authoritarian “communism” that poisoned us with its fruits, “social democracy” and “dictatorship of the proletariat,” which with their brutality brought the “myth” of the social revolution of the “sun of the future” and anarchy as concrete prospects for total liberation to a sunset. We claimed in our “modernity” that we did not need “myths,” but in this way we killed utopia, the greatest weapon we had to subvert this world. Historically, we have focused too much on rationality, on science while neglecting the instincts of revolt, the feelings, the passions underlying the human.

From back cover:

“The anti-authoritarian relationship with non-human animals (and the earth) combined with clandestine attack against industrial society can be seen throughout history. Past and present, many anarchists not only maintain a vegan lifestyle as a rejection of hierarchy in their relationships to non-human animals, but also recognize the necessity for destroying civilization itself.

This zine was created with the intention of illustrating the relationship between veganism, individualist anarchy and insurrectionary attack by highlighting a few of the many groups and cells that turned anger into action.”

‘Ready or Not’ – Alfredo Cospito

Posted on 2023/01/04 - 2023/01/04 by darknights

In these three years I was faced with choices which led me by the hand through a path fraught with crossroads and bifurcations.

Like on a minefield, I had to decide carefully where to step, with my pride and my self-respect at stake. The first choice I had to face with was whether I should continue to contribute, or let the prison overflow me, patiently waiting to get out. As limited as my situation is, I chose to continue to contribute through the written word. Once I made this decision I faced another crossroad: whether to confine myself — ecumenically — from this “high point” of my “status” (sic.) of a “revolutionary” prisoner — to bestowing blessings in each directions, applauding to every anarchist practice, paying attention not to make any enemies; or to use the weapon of critique, ever more harshly, trying to outline some analysis, to open some discourses. I chose the easier way (at least for me): openly push my critique to the extremes, at the cost of isolation (less letters, less information, less generic solidarity).

But always aware of the abyss between the thought and the action.

Words, strong as they may be, always carry something that sounds phony, even when they pose real, concrete risks, which may effectuate in years of prison for apology or incitement.

In “my” cell, the words I listen to most carefully are those that follow the actions, those which become flash and blood. They are alive, real, there’s no mistaking. They differ from the continuous blabbering in the background of an anarchist movement withdrawn in itself, affected by an embarrassing lack of courage and fantasy. A movement that feeds on appearance, on rhetoric and sometimes on demagogy, with its demonstrations, assemblies, communicative marches, campaigns of information and on rooting in a territory, a continuous blah blah. You don’t have to support claims of responsibility, but you know for sure they are honest because they are products of an action, because they’re written by really taking part in the game, putting one’s life in danger. In these times of virtual reality it is no small thing, and when then these claims talk to each other becoming campaigns of action, the background noise, the blabbering, definitely disappears, and everything gets more serious, more dangerous, more real. Italy: ‘The winter of capital’

Posted on 2022/10/01 - 2022/10/14 by darknights

The winter of capital

This weekend’s elections were very important for the fate of Europe. No, we are not talking about the miserable staging of the Italian round of elections, but about the referendums held in some occupied territories of Ukraine for annexation to the Russian Federation.

With them, the proxy and regionalized “world war” being fought between Russia and NATO takes a formal turn with important practical consequences. From the moment the Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye officially become part of Russia, Putin’s regime can claim that any Ukrainian attack in these territories will be read as an attack on Russia itself. The result is the order for general mobilization, the proclamation of martial law, and the transformation of its industry into a war economy to defend the homeland.

With this strategic shift, the Russian government moves away from the rhetoric of Special Military Operation – a neologism taken in inspiration from “international police missions,” “peacekeeping missions,” “humanitarian wars,” and other fanciful Doctor Strangelove sorties of the much-hated West – to the declaration of outright war. Demonstrating the farcical nature of any electoral mechanism, which always photographs the power relations between dominants and never an abstruse as non-existent “popular will,” Putin ordered partial mobilization even before knowing the referendum outcome, recalling the first three hundred thousand reservists.

From now on, all those states that have been arming the Kiev regime for months and that have enabled it to resist so effectively and to counterattack with unexpected successes become cobelligerent. Those who arm a state to which war is formally declared are also (almost) at war. Europe and the United States will now have to take responsibility for a conflict that they have fueled by all means, with the aim of bleeding the Russian enemy dry, hoping to achieve maximum results with minimum effort, i.e., by sending Ukrainian ascari1 to their deaths.

Rather than expire in the partisan readings of the court pen-pushers and opposing supporters, which as internationalists and enemies of every state we cannot but reject, reiterating our hostility against all sides in the war, it is worth dwelling on a couple of thoughts. A Contribution to the Fourth International Meeting Against Techno-Sciences – Dino Giagtzoglou

Posted on 2022/09/28 - 2022/09/28 by darknights

A CONTRIBUTION TO THE FOURTH INTERNATIONAL
MEETING AGAINST TECHNO-SCIENCES

Hi everyone!

Three years ago, when Resistenze al nanomondo took on the initiative to organize this annual and international meeting for the first time, I couldn’t have imagined what would follow in the years to come. In that very first meeting I tried to describe my thoughts and concerns on the ongoing fourth industrial revolution by focusing on the futuristic and technomaniac (gentrified) neo-theory of Singularity and what follows on from the transhumanist ideology and the practices of its priests.

Today, after more than two years of continuous health terror full of scaremongering propaganda, informational carpet bombing and psychological manipulation via humongous and humdrum lies, nefarious threats, blackmailing, curfews, lockdowns, punishment, hypocritical calls for “solidarity”, promises and “rewards”, we can clearly see what for many comrades – although they always seem to be just a few – was evident and foreseeable since decades or centuries: how the ruling class creates and/or exploits various successive “crises” under the guise of “states of emergency” to apply, impose or make desirable (by the populace) “new” technologies and techniques, but also to extend old and identical-to-the-core forms of psycho-social control and capitalist accumulation, lately going even up to the cellular and molecular levels of the human species by making our bodies living foundries and factories of protein production owned by the biotech pharmaceutical industry.

One thing is sure, two things are certain: a “new”, “green” and, of course, “safe and effective” nuclear power will be suggested to address the “energy crisis” as well as the “climate crisis”, while a huge push for the approval of “gene-edited” food passed off as non-GMO is underway supposedly to become the solution to a “food crisis” of some vague, obscure and undefined cause, or even the treatment of modern civilization diseases such as obesity, in the same way that “new” and – let’s repeat it with one voice – “safe and effective” gene therapies, in the form of injections that were deceitfully labeled and falsely accepted as vaccines, were introduced to deal with an alleged “health crisis”.

It should come as no surprise if the proposed solution to a possible surge of auto-immune or genetically inherited diseases, resulted from these incapacitating or deadly injections of genetic engineering and the generalized biotechnological omniviolence (spanning from genome editing of various species to bioweapons), would come from her majesty the “queen of all (pseudo-)sciences” Eugenics and the “safe and effective” way to come into the world would be growing GM embryos of medically assisted “procreation” and surrogate “gestation” in artificial wombs, i.e ex-vivo plastic bagssimulating the living functions of the maternal body. Let alone the scenario of artificial reproduction mandates, such like the “vaccine” mandates, becoming the “socially responsible” choice to have a child passed off as a “free and conscious” choice for the health of the social body, which eventually is about the health of the Machine. CLODO (…when matches were the “off” button)

Fanzine and review of the documentary on CLODO (Committee for the Liquidation or Destruction of Computers)

A documentary delves into the mystery surrounding a group of anonymous activists who carried out a series of arson attacks in Toulouse in the 1980s.

In the 1980s, the French city of Toulouse was home to a number of companies that used computers to further the aims of France’s police and military-industrial complex. These companies, such as Sperry Univac – a major U.S. equipment and electronics company – were among the first to create digital surveillance systems and manufactured products that would make warfare easier for the state by improving the accuracy of missiles.

In addition to housing these private military companies, Toulouse was also home to a milieu of radicals, including Spanish anti-fascists fleeing Franco; Action Directe guerrillas; and a new left forged in the aftershocks of May 1968, when students and workers staged a series of strikes that rejected the authority of the ruling Gaullist party and the orthodox Marxism of the French Communist Party.

It was in this context that an activist group called the Committee for the Liquidation Or Destruction of Computers (CLODO) emerged, which carried out several arson attacks against computers of military technology companies in Toulouse during the 1980s. Not much is known about CLODO. It disappeared completely after committing some six successful and two unsuccessful attacks against technology companies, leaving satirical communiqués as the only proof of its existence.

An introduction to the translation of one of its communiqués suggests that the group may have emerged from a citywide coalition to prevent the construction of the Golfech nuclear plant on the local Garonne River. In 1981, when this movement reached a stalemate, some participants resorted to an intensive campaign of sabotage. CLODO, who claimed to be computer workers, may have taken this sabotage impulse and applied it to computers, which in their view were “the preferred tool of the rulers. They are used to exploit, file, control and repress”. Continue reading “CLODO (…when matches were the “off” button)” →
