Hammering on the windows of two Milanese supermarkets of the French company Carrefour, on Via Pier Lombardo and Via Marcellino Ammiano, respectively. This action is aimed at targeting one of the many entities complicit with Israel.Carrefour recently entered into a contract with the Israeli company Electra Consumer Products and delivered food parcels to the IDF. Its corporate policy makes it co-responsible for the massacres and ethnic cleansing carried out by the state of Israel and its army.

DN Note: Our collective presents and translates a text written by ‘Assembly against Biopower and Confinement’ detailing a Greek academic who is in alliance with the Greek state, cops and their counter-insurgency tactics against our comrades and any manfestation against the social order. A similar incident in this country of ‘Aufhebengate/Libcom‘ comes to mind when we post this text, how the parasites of academia and its involvement in counter-insurgency, has not only spread to other countries such as Greece, that there is also international co-operation occuring on a far larger scale than before. One year ago, on 13/12/2022, the “Left-Right Lies Observatory”[2] publishes a video with an interview of former Contra Dystopia member Iason Baggeris on the show of the anti-vaccine cop Telemachus Bossios. We all believed at the time that the denunciation of I. B. by the meth/vaccine activists/vaccinators of the Observatory was done in the name of an anti-authoritarian authority: “we never talk to cops and cops’ associates”. The refutation of this erroneous initial impression was not long in coming. A few months later, on 28 August 2023, the main contributor to the Observatory, Polykarpos Georgiadis (Nikolai Polykarpov), published an article on the “coalescence of left and far-right in Greece” in Jacobin, the magazine of the left wing of the ruling Democratic Party in the US. [3] The publication of the article, as he informed his petty followers in a public post on his online profile, was mediated by Ms. Roza Vasilaki, among other “academic ” collaborators of the Greek Police – the latter of course conveniently for him avoided mentioning it. What happened in the meantime? Did Mr Georgiadis renounce his principles in order to make a face to the American democratic readers of Jacobin? No! As we will show in the following text, these “principles” are simply non-existent. But we will not limit ourselves to that. Because the issue for us is not simply the morally unacceptable or inconsistent behaviour of “anti-authoritarian” or “communist”, but the size and depth of the network of surveillance and repression of “dangerous” political activities that the security mechanisms have set up in Greece. And we will start by first answering the question: well, the “prominent member” of the Class Counterattack, Polikarpos is well-known, but who is Ms. Vassilaki?

Ι. TO WORK OR NOT TO WORK (FOR THE POLICE)?

In broad strokes, R.V. is another career researcher among those who use the language of the state and social movements simultaneously and have knowledge gained from participating in research projects that are at the service of capital, its state and the mechanisms of disciplining labour power and repressing class struggles. As such, it has acquired the capacity to be marketed differently depending on the audience. These days she tends to present herself as a militant researcher of the emergence of far-right discourse in Greece, as she writes in the promotional bio on her personal blog: ‘she has conducted extensive research on the far-right, football violence, religious fundamentalism, immigration and refugee integration, as well as feminism and gender-related issues.’[4]

By this point, one might reasonably wonder where the real problem lies. From the quotation of this autobiography, we seem to be talking about a left-wing researcher, one of many in the academic industry, who is conducting in-depth scholarly research on important issues that inevitably have occupied almost all social movements in recent years. Is there something wrong with all this and with Mr Georgiadis’ collaboration with R.V.? Are we referring to the classic combinations of academics of the antagonistic movement with other “networked” members of the academic community which can provide them with a few extra contacts and some professional and political career opportunities? Are we not referring to the various theoretical all-encompassing “conflict politics workshops”, from which indeed some careerists may later end up in the practical conflict politics workshops of the security apparatus of the capitalist state?

I wish we were just talking about this early stage of a political scientist’s career. In a more explicit, previously posted biography of R.V. on the internet, we read that “she has taught history and sociology at universities in Greece, Israel, and the United States. : we have the feeling that she did not teach anything that glorified the ‘Palestinian resistance’] and in Great Britain” and that her “main research interests focus on the changing place of religion in modernity, the emergence of post-secular and post-Western knowledge and theories, and the manifestations and genealogy of violence in the modern world, such as religiously and politically motivated violence and the particular role of security forces in modern states”. [5] Indeed, her professional activities cover a very broad field that basically centres around counter-insurgency policies and technologies, intelligence gathering and methods of preventing and suppressing activities ranging from youth rebellions to Islamist terrorism. Berlin, Germany: Free Sonnenallee from SPD & Greens – smash!

On the night of Monday, November 20, we simultaneously attacked the SPD office in Hermannstraße in Berlin Neukölln and a Green Party office in Wrangelstraße in Kreuzberg as an action against the genocidal war in Gaza. With our small group action, we are participating in the weeks of resistance on the streets, a resistance that has fought for its rights through riots. You gave us “rights” because we gave you riots!

The resistance in Germany against the war is far from being symbolic. The German state and German capital have staked a lot on the outcome of the war. And not because of their alleged task of combating anti-Semitism. The two governing parties, the SPD and the Greens, have played a prominent role in this. They have also played a role in creating the racist narrative that has meant massive repression against the residents of Neukölln for many years and has led to a general de-“legalization” in recent weeks. Demonstrations were violently broken up, migrant political organizing was confronted with bans, skin color and certain clothing and colors became even more reason for brutal attacks in schools and on the streets.

On a global level, the SPD and the Greens stand for Western imperialism and despite their repeated attempts to interpret it otherwise, a capitalist offensive by Israel and its Western allies is taking place. German involvement, interests and investment in this war and in Israel’s occupation is obvious. The US Rammstein Air Base in Rhineland-Palatinate, for example, is essential for the deployment of US drones in the Middle East and in August of this year, Israel sealed the largest ever arms deal (3.5 billion US dollars) with Germany with the approval of the US. There is much more than guilt behind the German state’s “special responsibility” for Israel.

Firminy (Loire) and Les Ancizes-Comps (Puy-de-Dôme), France: Double attack on Aubert et Duval steelworks, supplier to war industries

During the night of November 19th to 20th, we attacked the power supply to two production sites of the Aubert et Duval group:

– At Firminy, we sawed through a pylon on the 220kV line supplying the site. It only partially fell.

– In Ancizes-Comps, we also set fire to a 220kV line, at the point where the high-voltage cables went underground. We were able to get close and place our devices at the foot of the sheaths, without danger.

Aubert et Duval is a key player in the French military industry. It supplies parts for Naval Group submarines, Dassault Rafales and Framatom nuclear power plants.

Our action resonates with the international call for a week of action against all wars, from November 17 to 25, 2023, published in early November (careful, it’s a bit late…) on Iaata.info. We welcome this kind of initiative, and in turn call for an attack on the military industry everywhere and at all times.

What’s certain is that we’ve achieved our goal of hitting the military industry. While we don’t have the means to know exactly how much damage we’ve caused, we do know that these industries know they’re being targeted, and that their weak points are highlighted by our actions.

“Behind the war, ordinary factories”.

As the tag left on the site of an aeronautics factory burnt down in March 2023 in Beauchastel so aptly put it, the war we’re told all day long must end and is unjust, starts here; and is made possible by seemingly innocuous businesses too.

It’s no secret that global conflicts are escalating in intensity. For almost two months, bombs have been falling on the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip, at an unprecedented rate, and with broad political, military and financial support from the United States and most Western countries. The same people who call for a truce, respect for civilians and international law, are producing the bombs that massacre in a way they claim to condemn, there or elsewhere, since several billion people live in war zones; with the horror that this engenders and that we all know about: rape, torture, forced displacement, etc. This hypocrisy would be laughable if it weren’t so macabre.

These wars are the very concrete result of a military-industrial complex, with its factories, laboratories and technicians. In France, the eight major military industry groups – Airbus, Arquus, Dassault, MBDA, Naval group, Nextor, Safran and Thales – are celebrating record sales. Some 4,000 companies work for the defense industry, with the active, ongoing support of the state, which has earmarked a budget of 417 billion euros to increase its killing power and export its arsenal worldwide. Machines of death that are used directly for massacres, as in the case of Dassault fighter jets or Nexter tanks and guns used by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in Yemen.

We don’t want to remain indifferent to this. We also want to send a message to the workers in these industries. That our actions will deprive them of their work for a while, and make them face up to their responsibilities. We also hope that these acts, and the words we put on them, will help to raise the profile of these most discreet factories of death.

Our thoughts go out to those who fight for their freedom, to those who face repression.

The Zionist atrocity of the Israeli occupation forces and the Western allies is growing day by day. Invoking the provocative narrative of the rules of war, they baptize entire migrant camps, hospitals, churches, playgrounds and entire urban centres as Hamas bases and operational centres in order to legitimize the exemplary massacre of the Palestinian resistance for communication purposes. Israel’s war crimes are officially underwritten by the North Atlantic Alliance, with bilateral military support and the legitimisation of Israeli interventions by Western media propaganda. The Western narrative cuts off the practical popular resistance of dozens of Palestinian organizations from the Palestinian right to self-determination and independence, wanting to criminalize and drown in blood any attempt at liberation defined by the popular base, moving outside and against the imperialist Western centers.

Since the dawn of Saturday 7 October and the realisation of Operation “Al Aqsa Storm” on the Israeli military bases outside the Gaza Strip, we have witnessed a historic breakthrough. Decades of armed popular resistance by Palestinian fighters is verging on an impending victory for the twin goals of liberation and self-determination. A victory of the armed struggle against Zionism and imperialism. It is our responsibility, our duty, but above all our political choice whether to be spectators of these events or to make a decisive contribution as a real and existing part of the internationalist front in defence of the liberation struggle everywhere.

This juncture can and must become the contemporary reference point for the combative construction of the international anti-imperialist front, constituted by revolutionary initiatives that will speak with action – will speak the language of fire. It is today that the strategic experience of the internationalist comrades and the experiences of those who wrote history in blood and gunpowder must become a common ground and source of inspiration for the necessary revolutionary initiatives. Following the righteous counter-attack of the Palestinian Resistance on 7/10/23- named the Al-Aqsa flood, the terrorist state of Israel has launched a widespread operation of ethnic cleansing, intensifying the 75-year process of annihilation and displacement of the Palestinian people from their lands. It is deliberately bombing homes, hospitals, schools, water and electricity networks, and banning all food, water and medicine, condemning the people of Gaza to certain death.

The time-honoured and current crimes of the Zionist colonial entity could not have been carried out without the political, economic and military support of the ‘western’ bloc. As a part of this bloc, the Greek state is leading the way in supporting the murderous state of Israel with joint military exercises, with the upgrading of the Souda base and with the conversion of the 112th Battle Wing in Elefsina into a NATO base, and politically it is reflected in the meeting between Mitsotakis and Netanyahu.

Apart from cooperation at the political and military level, there is also cooperation at the economic level, with Israeli capital investing in various sectors, with one of the main pillars being the real estate and tourism sectors. The result of these hits our pockets directly, pushing up housing costs, changing the character of entire neighbourhoods and turning them into tourist attractions.

In addition to the mass, militant marches in support of the Palestinian Resistance, we must block the Greek-Israeli alliance by targeting Israeli capital in Greece. Connecting the protagonists of the Polytechnic uprising with those of the Palestinian Resistance, we chose on November 17 to express our solidarity with the people of Gaza by attacking the facade of the Israeli-owned NYX Esperia Hotel on Stadiou Street.

Claiming fire barricade and stone pelting Rome – November 2.

On the night of November 2, we placed and set fire to tires blocking both directions of traffic in front of the Terna spa headquarters on Via Egidio Galbani and threw stones to break its glass.

Terna is the main company in Italy for the construction and maintenance of electricity infrastructure, but it also operates abroad in countries such as Chile. Terna is not only responsible for the environmental devastation and pollution that follows the building of power lines and related transformer stations, as a leading actor in the process of electrifying the world as a consequence of the unhealthy idea of progress that this deadly system propagates, but it is also a promoter of the “green revolution” caused by the recent need to restructure capitalism that will only bring further exploitation of ecosystems and people. Unveiling its responsibilities is one of the goals of our action.

This action is to be seen as part of the international campaign to free Marcelo Villarroel. Marcelo is an anarchist prisoner in Chile’s state prisons who was imprisoned after a period of absconding in 2007 for a series of bank expropriations. He was sentenced to more than 40 years in prison without access to prison benefits because he was held responsible for certain actions that took place during the years of the military dictatorship in Chile and therefore condemned by military laws. Despite the rhetoric, Chilean democracy shows perfect continuity with the dictatorial regime when it comes to striking those who act without mediation for the end of all oppression and exploitation caused by the State and Capital. That is why we join the chorus of actions and initiatives for its immediate liberation.

An important and decisive war has begun in Occupied Palestine. We spent the eighteenth day of the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation while more than 4,900 Palestinians have been martyred in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and more than 15,000 people injured. Since the beginning of this war, the Fauda movement has used all its field and media resources to confront the fascist Zionists. Our young people in the West Bank, every day and night, are struggling and fighting the Israeli army and the security forces of the treacherous Palestinian Authority (PA) complementing the Zionist project in the West Bank.

We declare to every Zionist who has been occupying our land that we will resist until the last moment of our lives. And even if this war ends, we will be like active bombs which move in your settlements and rob you of your normal daily life. You will never be at peace in our land. We will not leave you alone as long as you occupy our land. Get out of it and get on with your lives. We request all free people in the world to burn the Israeli flag and march towards Israeli embassies in all countries. Do your duty and be the voice of the Palestinians and the voice of all the innocent children and women who are being killed under the barbaric and brutal bombing of the Zionists. Berlin, Germany: Some thoughts on the breaking out of the largest prison in the world by Rigaer94 EN/DE/ES

Since a couple of weeks, we have heard from many about the necessity of expressing themselves regarding what is “happening now in Gaza”. Arguments that seem to almost suggest that a new war has started are common even in radical or anarchist circles. Since the break out from Gaza took place, the Palestinian struggle for liberation has been suffering in Germany from being reduced to Hamas’ actions. The German State, political parties, and even sometimes our comrades, are very concerned about how far or close one can be towards Hamas’ ideas. But very little about the historical roots of an asymmetric war that has lasted more than 70 years is brought into discussion by these positions. An ongoing massacre of Palestinian people has been happening since the days of British colonialism, assisted by the establishment of an apartheid regime in an artificially created settler society.

Today, the need to condemn constructed horror stories, even when they have been already denied in the hegemonic media, still prevails in Germany. Instead of listening to voices from Palestine or their exiled communities, there is little resilience to the orientalist discourse that the state and the media are pushing, constructing the image of “the Arab” as the ultimate evil. This dynamic has been present in all so called “Wars on Terror” since 9/11, but it originated long before. Individuals and collectives, who have never been sympathizers of Hamas, today find themselves backed up against a wall, expected to follow the directives of a white german movement. First they must publicly declare their distance from Islamist ideas before being given the space to speak about their own political ideas about liberation from the colonial and fascist oppression of Israel.

The level of violence displayed in Berlin in the last few weeks cannot be explained merely as a reaction to the break out of Gaza. Students can be slapped by a teacher in school, people are facing brutal police violence in the streets, and demonstrations are systematically banned. Although anti-Semitism finds its greatest expressions in this territory, and we see it as our responsibility to fight the multiple expressions of white christian supremacy – be it Aiwagner, AFD, Reichsbürger or others – the German state deflects attention from this by accusing others. The idea of imported anti-Semitism is and remains a way for Germany to find a new demon of history and to push anti-Semitism from itself to Palestine in a historically revisionist way. The results are evident today. With the usual racist agitation, by constructing the idea that Palestinians are anti-Semitic by nature, the German state is trying to divide our class along ethnic and religious lines, as a smokescreen for the division between us and the gun-grabbers who are currently earning a lot of money from Rheinmetall shares.

In order to silence any resistance to the complicity between the german state and the Israel military and its Zionist authorities, the well-known narrative of guilt is utilized, unfolding it like a transparent mantle over the people socialized in the territory controlled by the german state.

Only now, after over 100 years?!

The sea of contradictions in which war is immersed weighs heavily upon us. Since over 100 years, we see images of Palestinian people being murdered by colonial forces. Since over 100 years, we see images of Palestinian people being displaced from their own territories. Since the II Oslo Accord in 1995, we have witnessed how the narrative artillery of peacemaking attacks all forms of self-defense and self-determination, characterizing them as barbaric, zeal-driven, or uncivilized.

We are sick and tired of seeing tons of rubble in Gaza, after decades of bombardments by the Israeli forces. And it is with this feeling that we observe the fences of the biggest prison in the world being torn down. People in Gaza have been subjected to constant violence, violence which we cannot even imagine being inflicted upon our own bodies but have normalized for others. After all, normalizing the oppression of certain people is a necessity of the colonial capitalist world we still live in. This beast needs the colonized to remain silent, to passively obey. The german “left” also loves victims to “care for” to redeem their guilt.

What disturbs some people in Germany today, is not the violence in and of itself, and not all deaths are equally disturbing. We internalize the valuation of the deaths we can put faces to, while we do not care about the faceless ones. We accept the fact that some can mourn for their beloved ones, and bury them, and at the same time we simply accept the disappearance of thousands and thousands. What disturbs some people, mostly the ones in power, is the fact that those expected to remain passive are taking action on a path to liberation, and this is when the system finally shakes. Through their actions, people in Gaza are forcing us in central Europe, to stop navel-gazing and to take a position on their reality. Today, people who should be pursuing the Western developmental ideal, throw in our faces a reality that is at times difficult for us to understand. This gets us out of our heads, forcing us to leave the place of those who dictate discourse, who say what is of interest and what is not, and demands that we draw attention to a reality that we all profit from. Or do we still think that our well-being and economic stability in this country is independent of the slaughter of others in the Global South? On the night of 31 March we attacked some vehicles of the IREN group with fire, a leading company in Italy in the district heating service, operating in the production and distribution of electricity and technological services.
