On the evening of September 20, in Rome, we interrupted a democratic kermesse that took place at the Troisi cinema. The evening’s special guests were the critical philosopher Noam Chomsky and the committed filmmaker Ken Loach. We stormed in with a banner that read ‘Against every prison. 41 bis = torture. Freedom for Alfredo’, threw leaflets and read the following text.

FREEDOM FOR EVERYONE
Since May 5, our comrade Alfredo Cospito has been imprisoned under the 41 bis regime.
The 41 bis is a regime of institutionalised torture, created to isolate, silence and annihilate the prisoner, thus trying to bring him to collaboration with justice. We do not want to demand more comfortable cages, nor do we want to be victims. We are against all prisons, we would like to see them burn. We are not surprised or outraged, we know very well that all this happens within a democratic regime. Democracy is based on the annihilation of the internal and external enemy. This is not a novelty linked to the advent of the so-called pandemic, this mechanism is inherent to representative democracy which, because it provides for representatives, necessarily creates an unbridgeable gap with the represented. Quite simply, for the past two years, we think that democratic regimes have dropped their masks: repression for all, permanent states of emergency, compulsory vaccination, green passes, persecution of those who do not play by the rules, rationing, etc. The situation is self-evident.
The state is giving us a warning: those who spread anarchist and revolutionary practices and ideas are buried alive. Examples of this are the recent convictions of Juan Sorroche (28 years in prison for an attack on a Lega Nord headquarters) and Anna Beniamino (sentenced together with Alfredo for political massacre, a sentence of life imprisonment). The repressive tightening we are experiencing cannot go unnoticed, we cannot get bogged down in wait-and-see. These are hard times, but better times will not come if we do not act now.
That is why it is important to pretend for Alfredo’s removal from 41 bis with all our strength, to spread anarchist ideas and to claim the practices for which he was convicted, practices that have always been part of the anarchist movement.
To the democrats and false critics we have nothing to say… we just wanted to spoil your party.

THE SOCIAL CREDIT SYSTEM

From 2013 Rongcheng, Chinese city in the province of Shandong, started experimenting with the ‘social credit’ system, but the aim is to extend it throughout the country by 2023.
In Rongcheng, each citizen is assigned 1,000 initial points, and each score corresponds to a specific letter: AAA to D. The letter ‘A’ (equivalent to 1,000 points) is the basic score and entails access to certain benefits, such as preferential assistance in employment and priority in school enrolment. One can aim to increase one’s score through behaviour considered by the Chinese Communist Party as ‘virtuous’: paying taxes and bills on time, making certain purchases, sharing and spreading party ideas, etc. a long list of behaviours by which the ‘trustworthiness’ and ‘virtuousness’ of citizens is judged. Of course, reporting people whose attitudes are deemed to be improper leads to an increase in one’s score. The benefits for the highest level (AAA, accessible to those with more than 1,050 points) include: higher pension insurance, subsidies for public transport, the possibility of applying for interest-free loans, being able to rent vehicles without having to leave a deposit, requiring fewer documents for travel visas, etc.
One’s score also becomes a symbol of prestige to be displayed online, as it already is on the Baihe website, which already allows its users to publish their score. On the other hand, those who are in a difficult situation and therefore pay their bills, rent or taxes late will inevitably have their points deducted; the same goes for those who do not cross at a pedestrian crossing, who throw paper on the ground, who express political opinions not in line with the party, etc. The list of behaviour deemed ‘immoral’ is very long. COMMUNIQUÉ CLAIM FOR PARCEL BOMB AGAINST ALESSANDRO PROFUMO
The horrors of war move sensitive souls. To us, however, they remind us that it is injustice that dominates this world. The mangled bodies are always those of poor people, it is never a rich man who dies, who loses a hand.
We do not think we can compete with the violence of the state; your capacity for destruction and death is unparalleled. In recent years you have shown it in Syria, in Iraq, today in Ukraine, and we saw it with the torture and slaughter in Italian prisons in March 2020. We have not forgotten or forgiven.
We cannot compete with your violence and probably do not even have the guts. Instead, we believe in the necessity of revolutionary violence, in action that opens glimpses of freedom. We believe in the contagion of ideas that walk through actions.
Once again the Informal Anarchist Federation becomes a tool for revolutionary communication and propagation of anarchist action. An instrument to which all comrades can adhere by affixing their signatures to the acronym FAI-FRI, putting us in communication without the dangers derived from direct knowledge. A tool with which we can express ourselves, even dialogue and confront each other, in the knowledge that we are talking to comrades who have put their lives and thus their freedom at risk. When words are too many and consequent actions are few, it is up to us alone to reverse this trend.
We brought a little reminder of violence home to those who with state violence do their business.
We sent the parcel bomb that arrived June 27 in Rome to Alessandro Profumo, CEO of Leonardo S.p.A., the state-owned company that produces weapons of war and cutting-edge technological devices. A collector and boardroom climber, a grand boot licker of universities, Profumo is one of those people we are unlikely to see bleeding from the wars with which he enriches himself. Leonardo has done business trading arms with both Russia and Ukraine, today its shares are flying on the stock market, and the Italian government is promising a shower of billions coming in thanks to the NATO-mandated arms race. Their capital is only ever matched by our suffering and sacrifice.
Can you smell the perfume of rage? We are coming to restore some of your terror, scum!
Leonardo is at the forefront of technological development and research in Europe, for example being repeatedly commended for its achievements in the field of aerospace engineering. The coincidence is not surprising since war and technical innovation have always been interconnected.
It is with technology that they ruin our lives, that they spy on us, that they drive us into misery. It is with developments in techno-science that aim to reshape the social fabric, making war possible. Let us strike at those responsible.
Let us call for an international campaign of action against the oligarchs who enrich themselves with war, the masters of energy and the techno-science and industrial sectors. Each with the means and methods they prefer, making their case or letting the facts speak for themselves.
We dedicate this action to Alfredo Cospito: remove our comrade from 41 bis or you will have to start washing the blood of the jailers.
No resignation, no truce, no peace. For international fraternity and revolutionary action.

Rome, 10 cars are not enough…
In the early hours of May 27, we carried out an incendiary action against the Enjoy carpooling vehicles belonging to the multinational ENI s.p.a. (national hydrocarbon company) in the Tuscolana-Cinecittà area of Rome. According to local newspapers, 10 cars were completely destroyed, while four others were seriously damaged.
ENI has always been one of the pillars of Italian capitalism, and its interests coincide with those of the State and, consequently, of the governments that succeed one another in administering it, whether they are of the right or the left, because its profits and infrastructures are strategic insofar as they strengthen the State in which they are located, being fundamental for the preservation of economic power, in the contemporary configuration of the capitalist productive system.
ENI is present in many countries where local and international conflicts are active for the control of energy resources: Libya, Mali, Nigeria, Kazakhstan (note that not a word was heard against the oligarch Putin when he sent his troops to quell the uprisings that broke out in that country), to name but a few. In these places, energy in the form of fossil fuels has been extracted from the earth for decades to feed the energy needs of Western industry, in a pattern that takes the form of true neo-colonialism. These extractive activities, it should be remembered, carry great risks for the environment and indigenous populations, especially in countries where controls and safety systems are consciously minimized in order to maximize profits, as in the case of the Niger Delta, an area severely devastated by continuous crude oil spills and the dispersion of gases and combustion residues resulting from extraction activities into the air. To stand in solidarity and support to the fight for freedom that Giannis Michailidis has embraced against a putrid system is to support the yell of one for many, for all those who are subjected to state oppression and its vengeance, against preventive imprisonment.
Despite having served the necessary terms for his release, preventive imprisonment is still decreed for him, in a totally arbitrary way, because he is not ‘sufficiently correct’ since he has not surrendered, he is insubordinate to their mechanism of maintaining and reproducingpower, he has taken up arms and turned them against the banks and the base of the capitalist system. His struggle is an active struggle within the conflict, using his life as a weapon against the vindictive attack of the state. They want to drive him to physical extermination, killing him slowly and torturing him.
“Freedom or Death” is his yell
In Greece as in Italy, selective repression against the revolutionary anarchists is at a height of their vengeful power. The state would like to label the liberating violence as slaughter but, today as yesterday, the only slaughterer is the state. In Italy, Anna Beniamino and Alfredo Cospito, are accused of attempt of a massacre with political incentives for an attack attributed to them, which caused no injuries, at the Carabinieri school in Fossano. If the charge is confirmed, they could be sentenced to life imprisonment. Alfredo Cospito was recently transferred to the Bancali prison (Sardinia) where the 41 bis regime, a real form of torture, is in force. Juan Sorocche, after an initial charge of massacre, as he was held responsible for planting a bomb at the gate of the racist NorthernLeague party, again without any injuries, was sentenced to twenty-eight years for terrorism.
We will always respond to state terrorism with solidarity and without any surrender.

Well, what has been hovering for a while has finally manifested itself: on May 5, the anarchist comrade Alfredo Cospito, already detained in the AS2 section [High Security 2; Att.Nt) of the Terni prison, received the notification of the application of the 41 bis against him.
This detention regime, requested by the judges and approved by the Ministry of Justice, with the signature of the Minister Marta Cartabia, as we know, involves: the annihilation of the individual, an extension of the isolation, the deprivation of books, the lack of information and news from the outside world… in short, torture. In line with recommendations being laid out by the World Economic Forum and the UN 2030 Agenda, Bologna, Italy, plans to launch a social credit style app that has striking similarities with Communist China’s social credit system. The app rewards or punishes its citizens for their behavior. Dubbed “Smart Citizen Wallet,” the app will track activities such as recycling, public transportation use, and energy management.
The primary argument for the program is to “save resources” and promote climate-friendly behavior. Those displaying good behavior will collect digital coins and receive discounts at local shops based on the given scores.
The app is already active and in experimental stages in Rome and is set to go live in Bologna in Autumn. Bologna Mayor Matteo Lepore and Massimo Bugani, director of the city’s “Digital Agenda,” discussed the project at a March 29 conference. Bugani indicated the app was part of a more comprehensive effort by the city to invest in digital innovation.
In 2020, Italy and six other nations signed an agreement to become “Agile Nations” in partnership with the WEF. Besides Italy, the deal—co-organized by the OECD—includes Canada, Denmark, Japan, Singapore, UAE, and the UK and sets “each country’s commitment to creating a regulatory environment in which new ideas can thrive.” Expressly—with the Fourth Industrial Revolution front and center. On April 6th was held the hearing of the re-examination court on the precautionary measures for Gianluca and Evelin, anarchist comrades accused of “possession of deflagrant and explosive material, attempted manufacture of improvised explosive devices and possession of deflagrant material with the aim of attacking public safety”, arrested on March 16th on a warrant from the public prosecutor’s office of Genoa and later transferred under house arrest.
Today, April 8th, the comrades were notified of the result of the hearing: the arrest order against Evelin was “annulled for lack of serious evidence of guilt”, therefore the comrade is released from house arrest, while it is confirmed for Gianluca, who remains under house arrest, without any change in the specific restrictions (no communication with persons other than close family members, no leaving the perimeter of the house even to buy food, no receiving correspondence, etc., and periodic checks by the police).
